Been watching/ supporting rangers all my life since the 70s, where do the rest of you guys rank Morelos amongst the strikers we have had in the past, think he's the best option at club the now but no where near the best I've seen in my time. thoughts? Just seems we are a bit hysterical with Morelos.

Good question mate.

Morelos is quality, absolutely no doubt about it however in my opinion he needs someone up top with him.
Potentially he has it all, he can finish, he can bully, he chases everything down but 9 times out of 10 he either hasn’t got the service or the support from our midfield.

Marco negri is the greatest finisher i've seen in my 40 odd years, going to watch glasgow rangers! God only knows how many he would have scored,
if circumstances didn't take over. He was so natural at scoring goals. An incredible knack he had and i've seen some great rangers strikers, in my time!

I rate morelos very highly. Bare in mind he's still a young lad with bags of potential. The issue with all the hype from my point of view is, for a long time now scottish clubs have been ripped off with the transfer fees we recieve for our best players. We want what's fair and if dembele is a 20m striker then why not alfredo? His goal scoring record is as good if not better than dembele but, that's just my opinion.
My favourite striker is dado prso.
He was class!

Hateley
Prso

Johnston
Jelavic

He is still very young. But over the years we've have had some unreal strikers. Out with mccoist personal favourites of myself were mols jelavic and big dado. As said previous morelos potentially has it all. Uses his body to turn defenders unbelievably well.

I would say that Morelos, at 22, bullies defenders more than most Gers strikers I have seen, maybe Hateley. He is also a player you can play up front on his own which in previous eras saw always two strikers.

Soopcoop11 - think Negri holds the record for fastest or most in a season - memory not as good as it used to be. and Negri reminded me of a schoolmate, Sandy, who couldnae play football but scored for fun, with the back of his head, his arse, his shooder, his knee. Loved watching Negri you always new you were gonnae see goals. but my most fav was Mols - such a shame.

What about Ally Scott or Martin Henderson, pure class or big Kyle who McCoist signed, does it get any better?

B gate, sounds like we are of an age if you watched gers in 70s. Skill wise think Morelos difficult to beat. Problem is grew up watching DJ, Parlane, latterly Mols. Big players with heart. Something don't think Morelos has.

Loved and grew up watching derek parlane mate. Remember the song to the tune of the christmas song NOEL?
"PARLANE, PARLANE, PARLANE, PARLANE,
BORN IS THE KING OF IBROX PARK"!
Superb memories mate!

Derek Johnstone was a better striker than Hateley and should have been in the all time best team instead of Hateley.

Jboy21

Billy Urquart made Ally Scott and Martin Henderson look like proper players. Recall game at Ibrox when he had to flick and create a bouncing ball to enable him to cross it, kind of thing used to see in poor school football. Still have the scars from seeing Urquart in a blue shirt.

Yep, after he left rangers I played against him a few times, alongside Jim brogan I never. Played against a harder more physical player.
