😂😂😂 good effort bizzmy, can't believe there are still people still trying to prove that we have progressed. We are no nearer to winning the league or a trophy than we were last year👍.

Buying players for different positions ain't going to improve results We have already outspent everyone in that league this year bar Celtic and we have come short!

Gerrard will be judged next year We have as a whole improved from last year then again Celtic were a better team the previous year and had they have played like that this year the league would've been sewn up by now!

Too many draws from us it has to be said In the playing side we have improved but there is no killer instinct and lots of wasted chances Not clinical in the slightest!

So 2nd place and a run in Europa was decent and here is people thinking that we were probably playing too much games than the squad can cope with but Europe is long gone and we still continue to struggle getting a great consistency of wins domestically

Albeit we were about 18games unbeaten but we draw far too many, in my eyes that is as bad as a defeat!

Plus points (above) and also being able to beat Celtic but we need to be far more clinical in going into those games

I really do feel for Gerrard next season as a repeat of this he will be out a job! I don't think he will get sacked he will walk!

Need to be looking at the referees decisions aswell here Its been shocking at times You feel there in a playground joining in Referees are far from being professional

It's time to buckle up and just concentrate on our results and **** the rest of them It's true they don't like us!

I feel we have progressed in that we have a much better squad with a strong bench too. Several injuries haven't helped but what really hurts is our inconsistency and failure to put games to bed. Just look at the Tic today, played crap but nicked it, we don't seem to be able to do that. Confidence seems a bit low and if SG can build this up we will improve significantly.

Come short against Aberdeen, Hibs and Kilmarnock maybe 2nd place but we haven't been much better than those teams Playing wise yes but our results are far from impressive

The sheep have knocked us out 2 cups and stats don't lie vs Aberdeen Rangers 1 Draw 2 Aberdeen 3

Hibs

Rangers 0 Draws 3 Hibs 0

Kilmarnock

Rangers 1 Draw 2 Kilmarnock 1

Hardly dominance in it?!

The statistics are not an accurate reflection. No trophies won in 3 years of playing in the top league. Beaten twice by a team with far less resources than us in both cups and an inability to beat teams like Kilmarnock and Hibs in the league. Gerrard is fortunate that we reached the group stages of the europa league as that has bought him some time. All I would say that the finances are probably healthier since he took over however we aren’t as improved as some seem to think.

The stats are accurate, any interpretation of them may not be!

Bizzmy, all we have done is turn defeats into draws, that's the difference between this team and last seasons team. Its not good enough if you want to win titles. Its hardly a reason to shout we have progressed. We are no nearer to winning titles. You can sugar coat it all you like with meaningless stats, the stats that matter say we are not good enough👍.

We have beat Killie twice this season - 3.1 and 5.0.

My point is that we have progressed. Not as far as I would like obviously, with some very indifferent form at times mixed with some excellent displays. But I do feel as a whole club we are in a much better place. Better squad, decent financial results, improved facilities, stronger youth set-up, high profile manager who can attract good players. If SG get's the team playing consistently and as he wants them to then we will challenge the manky mob and will win silverware over the coming seasons.

Your stats for last season are not comparable with this season because you have factored in 30 games this season and 38 games last season. So why don't you revisit this at the end of the season.

By using rate I have accommodated the number of games.

By matter of definition bizzy yes turning defeats into draws or conceding 1 goal a game instead of 2 is technically progress. But do you think stevie G and the board sat down at the start of the season and said "if we are 4 points better off, out both cups and continually failing to beat the better spl teams we will be happy with that and that will be real progress, considering we have spent over 10mil and paying a fortune for davis and defoe" do you think the board consider this as progress? Nah mate we have fell well short. We are no nearer to winning a trophy than we were last year. Europe has bought stevie G an extra season. The only stats that matter are the score at the end of the game and the points tally on the table, both of them stats say we are not good enough or anywhere near winning a trophy and that is not an acceptable measure of progress👍.

I totally agree that we have not improved as much as we would all have wanted. A more consistent team would be right on their tail pushing for the title, but this is not a one step journey, it will take time.

I was referring to the article on rangers news on 25th feb. I am not an accountant so can't vouch for any smoke and mirrors involved, but they quoted 'As a result of the above, the Club posted an overall profit for the period of £5.2m'.

I read you post again Arthur, and I stand by the stats I posted. This years was based on 30 game average, last years on 38 game average.
