Sorry for bringing up this post again, but the more I think about it the more frustrated I am. Daniel Candeias was never the most consistent, but as has been mentioned on here, what he lacked in consistency he made up for with pure effort. The understanding him and Tav had was priceless, one which I think we'll suffer without.

Gerrard has brought in Ojo, and to be fair he arrived with plenty of backing, which he has showed with 2 good performances.

My problem with it is this, Ojo will never be a Rangers player, he is part of the relationship, not unlike Kent, we have with Liverpool, and that connection.

Have we sacrificed a player, that has fought tooth and nail for the last 2 years, for what is basically a short term solution? Only time will tell, but I think over the past 18 months it has shown that Gerrard has his own way of thinking and that nobody is safe.

I hope Ojo produces the goods and lives up to the hype, across the full season, I'll back him until he no longer wears the jersey.

At 31 DC would only have been short term.

He was good, I liked his work rate and he could score a goal however, we need better in order to progress.

I’m not a big fan of loan players, we should be looking after our own first but I honestly think Ojo will be outstanding for us and score a load of goals this season.

Brian1978 - my concern with Ojo is he appears to be a 1 trick pony - - bitof pace certainly but on his YouTube video and in every game so far he has tried the same trick to score a goal - edge of box, left foot curler into far side of the goal - - the last 2 teams and especially Blackburn shut him down fairly easily in my opinion. Given e is relatively young and is also going to be inconsistent, especially when the hammer throwers get hold of him!

Bar72, I share the same concern mate, more than that though, he doesn't look like the type of player who is defensive minded, I keep going back to it but by losing Candeias, in my opinion, we lose that understanding and relationship with Tav, which has allowed for his assists and attacking threat. Time will tell as a say, I'll support the decisions Gerrard makes for our club.

i really like DC, his back healer for Morelos, the goals he took during the pre-season were quality but he didn't do that everyday. i agree that the relationship with Tav was commendable but that's what should happen in every team. know what the other player is thinking before he kicks the ball to ensure you move into the space that he wants you too. BF was a genius at it just unfortunately some of his team mates didn't have the same footballing mind and fans thought it was a wayward pass. however i am sure that they will be working on relationships every training session.
