Morning Bears
I understand the concerns about not signing anyone this month but surely we have ample cover in the first team squad? i. e.

Goal:
Foderingham

Defence:
Flanagan
Polster
Halliday (left back if needed)
Edmundson
Helander (when fit again)

Mid/ forwards:
Barjonas
Stewart
Barker
Jones
Ojo

Murphy and Docherty could have been retained to provide even more cover. The point of having a first team squad is to provide cover. The like of Halliday might not be everyone's cup of tea but he will give 150% for the jersey if called on to play. In defence Flanagan is a decent right back. Any thoughts Bears?

Doiger - no concerns for me at all, if we keep all our first team squad then we will win the league mate.

I unfortunately do have concerns Stuck The manks are panic buying and we have injuries to contend with now and probably potentially more to come.

Bluebilly. Panic buying seems to be right. Soro and Klimala? I've never heard of either of them. Doesn't mean they are adding quality, but quantity. For us, Morelos needs to avoid any more reds no matter how unfair previous reds might have been. With Arfield, Jack, Davis, Aribo and Kamara we're strong in midfield. My biggest single injury concern would be if McGregor was out for any length of time. His shot-stopping is world class. We'd miss him.

I agree with bluebilly. Manky mob investing again. Call it panic buying but they are taking action because they need to. We, barring an injury nightmare will succeed this season. Then we sell for good money and buy clever. Onwards.

Same post I put at end one of my posts earlier today but thought I’d post it on this thread too as it goes for my thoughts on @doiger post. Hope you don’t mind mate.

yes we have a big squad and cover for. The 1st team but these guys have barely kicked a ball so gerrard obviously does not rate them or trust them to do a job MOST of the players on side fringes barely make bench always same folk you see and barely get substituted on when they are on the bench and that’s my main worry
Any injury ban etc to a main player going to be worry
I’m sorry but the first time in how long have we now had the league in our own hands with this game in hand would put us top and we need to win every game some people say points will be dropped by both sides we have already seen a Celtic team go through the season beating every other team with possibly only us now going to take points off them
Don’t think this is a time to stop, we have to make couple signings this window to help improve our chances

Imagine end of season we had Morelos our injured no way is Defoe or Stewart going to give us his goal ratio from now to end of season
Don’t care how many goals we leak as long as we’re scoring more and winning that’s all that counts for me

Just my opinion but I definitely don’t want to be here end of season looking at us dropped stupid points Like last year

when we have this chance to bring in one or two to keep us on top and pushing it the whole way We should take it

We have a big fixture list ahead now European football etc players are going to get tired and will need subs on the bench who can come and make a difference and we need players to come in at times of injury fatigue and bans etc

Definitely don’t want to be end of season and they have won it again and we are all sitting here saying well next season
it’s there to be won this year and I think it’s our year
So if we don’t sign anyone this window fingers crossed we don’t come a cropper.
