Long time reader. First time poster. I can't believe my fellow bears can't see the woods for the trees. How amazing does this feel right now. Win our game in hand and we are top with an enormous chance of winning this league. What do we do? Nothing. We sit and watch celtic take it from us. I'm no profit of doom but to sit here and think we will go through a league season with no major injuries is incredibly naive. Yes we outplayed celtic and what a feeling. To not strengthen 2nd half of the season is saying bye bye to the title. Prepare for heartache fellow Bears. Anyone who disagrees? Name 1 club who have such a thinly stretched albeit excellent first team squad who have stood still whilst their major rivals invest and gone on to win the title. The answer is zero I applaud Stevie Gee and what he's accomplished but I knew our finance situation would bite us. Any ideas? Crowd funding etc.

I think your being slightly negative mate, we don’t know if Celtic have strengthened at all. last few players they ve paid 3/ 4milkion for have been duds. these ones might be aswell. let them do the panic buying while we have the best midfield in the country and it’s cost us pennies. we play 1 up front so another striker is nt needed til the summer, RF is only position I see as a potential area of improvement but the right players might not be available until the summer. I still expect us to do something nearer the end of the window when we clear a few more out though.

What a load of negative nonsense which belies your nom de plume. We are all but top of the league, through to the knockout stages of the Europa League and through to the last 16 of the Scottish Cup. The only real glitches this season so far have been the two matches against the unwashed but we seem to have put that behind us now. Celtic are nothing special and despite their panic buying I think we'll have enough in the locker. Sure, injuries and suspensions will happen but I think we have ample cover in defence and midfield. The one area I agree where we are light is up front. Be positive and get behind our boys!

They have ripped nothing from us. You could say they are panic buying rather than strengthening. Any right minded ranger would have ripped a hand off to be in the position we are in and yet you have nothing positive to say. 🤔.

We've plenty of options in our first team squad. It was a disappointing performance against Stranraer but that doesn't mean players are suddenly poor. I have no idea or interest how celtic sign. Love the positivity from some on here 😉
We're going to win the league.

The unwashed only managed to beat the Jags 2-1, so hardly a top class performance from them either. We've no divine right to turn up and expect to beat teams like Stranraer 5 or 6 nil. The next 3 games will tell if we can avoid a repeat of last year's jitters when we fell away. St Mirren and Ross County at home and Hearts away - should be 9 points.

I noticed their new forward was diving all over the place . and Frimpong was arguing with Lennon end if game . It’s not just all about signing players and hoping for the best . Defoe and Davis took a full half season and ore season to return the gaffas faith . So for me . it’s in Stevie I trust 👍bring it on.

Don’t kid yourself that they are panic buying. They research these young players and they have a pretty solid record of selling them on for profit. For me, we have the better starting 11 but they have the better squad. Once the fixtures pile up and injuries start to occur, I worry that having to rely on the fringe players will cost us the title. A couple of quality players, ready to go, even on loan, could be the difference.

To the guy saying play 2 up front. why are you wanting to change our system? League is currently in our hands. we ve only lost once and arguably that was Stevie g bad tactics in first old firm. Would actually think we re struggling the way folk are going on. we are the team to beat! Celtic went through by a deflection against Partick thistle. with 2 up front!

Maybe it's what SG thinks that is important. He's said we're not going to sign anyone, I'll trust him.
