Wanted Gerrard to succeed but had my doubts when we appointed him but it's not worked out it's time to move him on, seriously still can't understand why the board gave him a extension of his contract at the time, How about Tommy Wright he's done well at stjohnstone.

We are rangers - in free fall. TW has done well with saints on a fraction of our budget, knows the SPL and knows how to organise a team, players playing to their strengths - whatever our players strengths are. Remember, we laughed at them when Lennon got the job but here knows the game here too and looks like he's going to win them another treble.

I think a lot of the time it's actually easy to manage a club on a shoestring budget, expectation level on players etc aren't as high which allows them to play the football they want with really not a fear of reprimand. That goes for the manager aswell, which is why you see guys like Tommy and Brian rice being allowed to continue to adopt their own style of management. It may not win them anything, it may not keep them up, but what it does is it let's them have their "big day" when it comes to old firm.

Inverness are another prime example, your Ross countys when they 1st got promoted. It's the unknown for teams not used to playing against system where they're being told to go and Express themselves on the ball, and when not just get behind the ball and do anything they can to keep it out.

Guys like Morelos can't even respect someone like Stevie Gerrard. How do you think they would react to Tommy Wright managing them?

An unfortunate situation I know but that's the way football is in 2020.

Me2, gerrard was giving the contract extention when we were doing well in europe, it was just in case another club stole gerrard from us, and he has us bang in about everything at the time of extention signing, pal.
