A very much maligned player in our squad is Alfredo Morelos. The media and opposition players at every opportunity slaughter him, sometimes merited.
However, I don't see much press re Fred donating 75k to poor people in his town in Columbia.
No mention of the very young disabled lad Suárez who he totally cares for.
I know other players are doing their bit.
Alf I thank you and respect u.

Correct John25.
Huge song and dance made of Brown donating money to the NHS ( Hollicom at work ) .
Well done Morelos. 👍.

Great post John. I also think that the lack of media sought by Alfie shows that he’s more interested in helping the needy than boosting his image. I am full of admiration for what he’s doing, that’s a proper role model.

Well said John 👍 Fredo is driven by generousity and not media attention. That's the difference between the two.

John, terrific post, our Club should make sure this young man gets the plaudits for his magnificent work, well done Alfie.

Davie Provan praised Morelos for this a couple of weeks ago, when you read about over paid excuses for footballers like Beckham when he was at man u, buying expensive cars just to stick them in a garage, to rust away, it is refreshing to hear about a footballer putting his money to better use.

Well put John25! Alfredo has a heart of gold off the park and of course can be a little too eager at times on the park. The guy should be absolutely praised to the hilt about his very kind hearted charity work and genorosity in helping others who need it! But this media up here ain't real and give the guy not anywhere near enough exposure of his pure heartfelt genorosity to his own charity for the needy in colombia.

There quick though with the negative comments and castigate the boy when he steps out of line on the park. I like a player that has that spark like morelos has in his locker, he just needs to learn to control it more, as he's a top talent alright. He chases everything and gives defenders a torrid time which they hate playing against. He'll go on to play at the very top as his goalscoring ability and all round play leading the line is superb! 👏👏

Well done alfredo morelos who's heart of gold is most definitely recognised by all us bears!

Think Morelos, whom we have looked after extremely well, is a very generous and misunderstood character. He let us down badly though when we needed him most.

Everyone saying well put etc etc. Why do you care if the media pick this up or not?
Alfie is, doing it because he wants to, not for media attention.
Scott brown stuff was obv picked up as the money donated has been done so to the NHS, the health service in this country.
Its unreal the paranoia of some fans.
" oh our player done something good but the media don't praise them, anti rangers agenda"
" Alfredo linked with various clubs" oh anti rangers media trying to unsettle our players.
Its actually embarrassing tbh. The media ain't anti rangers, they are just leeches who will report what they want, very rarely does good news sell.
Im pretty sure Alfie, or any player across the board. for that matter, isn't going to say " oh the media didn't praise me for this so i'm not doing any more charity work" seriously man! 🙈🙈🙈.

He’s much maligned John because his childish behaviour basically destroyed our league title challenge, he earns a lot of money, I and my wife give money every month to charities, as do millions, we don’t earn millions, However credit were it’s due, he won’t be the first nor the last to give. No need for warbs usual romantic novels, just acknowledging the fact is enough, well done Alf.

Tom Tom. He is guy kept us in challenge. Many others sold goals.

Morelos hasn't/ didn't destroy our league challenge. Have to agree with John there.

He’s paid to be Rangers striker, and imo he did destroy our chances, but fair dues to you both, I fully respect your views.

Correct again John25👍
Football is a TEAM sport.
You would expect others to step up when injuries and suspension play a part.
P. S. 2 of the best posts on here in a long time John25, especially the first in support of a young man often maligned even within our own supporters. 👏👍.

What’s all this let’s feel sorry for Morelos nonsense. Yes he was excellent thru December. Financially we have looked after him extremely well and I’m afraid he has let his team mates down far to many times.

Football is a team game. How this season has went has not been down to one man. Collectively the team have been poor since Xmas.
Regarding Morelos we paid just over£1m for the boy. If or when he goes we'll make a good financial return on him.
