Can someone tell me what Gary McAllister brings to the team set-up? I liked Gary as a player but he seems to keep a very low profile and I'm not sure what influence he has in the dressing room.

We don't are not privy to what gary mac brings to the set up. Because we don't see what he brings, doesn't mean to say he's not bringing it/ contributing guys.

Correct, SGL. Nobody knows what goes on in the dressing room. We can't say what influence Walter had with Souness, or Archie had with Walter, only that their input must have been trusted and respected by the manager. That's the job of the assistant manager, DOIGER, to be the trusted sounding board for the boss.

The Covenanter. I am entitled to my opinion. When Archie Knox was Walter Smith's assistant he was very visible during some of our most successful years. McCoist too was quite high profile when Walter's assistant. So 'it matters to me' because we haven't won the friggin' league since 2011 and I'd like to know what he is doing to earn his wages. If it's Gerrard's job to influence the dressing room, then what is McAllister doing?

DOIGER mate, on the training field at the rangers training centre, i'll pretty sure/ confident that gary mac has a big input and as a management team along with beale, milsom etc will have an input into gerrard's preparation and attention to detail!
