What is everyone’s views on Jordan jones? He seems to have become the forgotten man at rangers following his horror tackle in the first old firm of the season which led to his injury. Is he good enough for us? Does Gerrard think he is good enough for us? Or will he be for the off? I personally think that jones although still a raw talent still has the potential ability to become a success with us and never really got a fair crack at the whip last season due to the aforementioned tackle. I think he could fill in well in the right wing position with Kent on left and Hagi center just behind Morelos.

Allegedly Gerrard said after that horrific tackle that Jones will never play for Rangers again. Whether that was true or not I'm not sure as we all know he did have a few appearances after that. My opinion is he's a 1 trick pony who has been sussed out by the opposition so for that reason I'd like to see him moved on.

Broxi bear i'll be honest and didn't want us to sign jordan jones in the first place! Having said that as long as he remains at rangers, i'll will support him and will him on to prove me wrong.

Tough one, was coming on to a game before the injury but not seen enough of him. I'd give him more time but we also have Hastie, Murphy, Middleton around so decisions to be made.

Probably Jones would be better playing against better teams that come out and attack us leaving space for him to run into.

Heard rumours about him having poor attitude in training and being in trouble off the park. don't know how true they are.

Hastie and middleton have no future at the club imo. There not great standard.

Jordan who? but seriously, if he has fully recovered from his self inflicted injury caused by a moment of madness, then Kent right Jones left Morelos centre could cause any team problems. I disagree with Bgate w, I think players like Jones and Kent are exactly what is required to open up stubborn defences. As for Hastie, I am undecided, he is young, has time to mature, could still make a decent player, need to see more.

I thought it was a great tackle! Shame it wasn't scott brown on the receiving end.

Personally I’d like for him to be kept even if just a squad player to begin with and then he can prove himself in training and force his way back into the team. I haven’t seen enough of hastie to pass judgement but I believe he has more to offer than Middleton and as for Murphy I think after his lengthy absence his days as a ger could be numbered.

All I will say is that he looks better than Hastie, Barker, Murphy and Middleton, so I would hold on to him in the meantime. Gerrard never said the boy would not play for Rangers again and picked him again, but he is a known big head that McAllister has spent time with, trying to instil in him what it means to be a Ranger.

The covenanter - yeh it was said that he did indeed have an attitude issue. We have no place for players like that at Ibrox. We want and need people who will give 100% if and when required. Get rid of the big heads, the part time players, the players who are only interested in their huge wage, the players who's heads go down to easily . We need winners with grit, determination and passion. Come on Gerrard, do this for the supporters, make a name for yourself !

Hi all. Not been on for a very long time. Trying to read and catch up on what the chat has been. Hope you are all good and families are all well too.

My opinion on JJ is he is not good enough unfortunately. Someone has already said that he is a one trick pony and I completely agree. He may well be useful when there is space in behind but we rarely play teams that allow us that space. he's not exactly a youngster either. I think he is 26 so he's probably reached his full potential and that's not the standard of player that moves us forward.

Thanks for the effort JJ but if we can get any transfer fee for him I thinknits time to move him on.

The Stuck, so by that you must mean get rid of Morelos too!

I don't think jordan jones is better than jamie murphy The covenanter. I honestly rate and like jamie murphy pal and i rate him the best winger out of all the names you mention mate. I take it you don't rate murphy? I would honestly hope gerrard holds onto murphy.

The Muppet, Morelos has been magnificent, scoring 30 / 29 goals per season, very very hard to replace. But if his head isn't in it and he wants to move on then my reply would be yes get rid of him. Why keep him for another season if his heart isn't in it, plus his discipline is proving difficult to control. Yes I'd love him to want to stay and stay on the park and score another 30 goals per season.

I like jones think he should be kept for cover case we get a few injurys at the 1 time.

INTR, keeping those players will win us the runners up prize again. We have to aim higher and sign better quality over quantity.

SGL, Murphy has very little grit, not a lot of guile and, I think, a bit of a sand dancer. If we could afford elegance over power in this dreadful league we play in, I'd see your point. If it was a war I'd probably prefer Jones in my trench therefore I'd keep him before the others. By the way, I actually would get shot of the lot, but we do need backup so JJ just about saves his squad place for me.

What I've heard is that JJ is a big head and has a major attitude problem, refusing to sign autographs, walking past fans and not acknowledging them - apparently Gerard hates that side of him and has no time for him.

If Ny wingers deoart in one capacity or another it shohld be Middleton Barker and Hastie i'd loan Hastie and Middleton out to a team that plays a similar style to us and move Barker along to an english team for a modest fee or a free.

I don't think the tackle would have upset Stevie too much tbh as I remember he could put in a few horrendous ones himself! Maybe the lad's attitude has not been to our liking. Remember the management, staff and even the tea ladies see the whole picture and not just 90 minutes on a Saturday. I'm not saying the lad is a bad influence or a ned or anything like that, but it's a bit strange as to how he is not involved more in the first team squad.

Regarding all of the above posts, everyone has their own opinion on who should stay or go, or, is good enough for Rangers, the bottom line is, no player is bigger than the Club, so, if the attitude is wrong, get rid of the players in question.

I think Murphy is a better player and I would like to see Murphy get a chance

Morelos if his head is in it and gets himself fit and in shape he will score goals for us again

But would like to see a top striker signed this summer for the fact Morelos can’t be relied on to stay on pitch and keep himself available for all matches

And would be nice to able to play 2 up front against the weaker opposition.
