Don't know why people are complaining about mebude joining man. c Tav is played constantly ahead of Patterson, when young Nathan seems to be a big step forward. He's not getting a game. The youngsters here don't get a chance. It's understandable . If man c. think that our teens are good enough, why don't we. Are we better than them, or maybe the premier teams fancy giving them a chance. B. Gilmour for example. Good enough for Chelsea, but not good enough for us. Mccrorie wants away for game time and we play 36 year old Davis instead of our academy talent. Chinks in Gerrard's armour are beginning to shine through. The same set up. Same culprits and mistakes. After two years now and no silverware, I'm beginning to question decisions. Runs in Europe aside, we've been crap domestically. How is that possible. Beating Braga, Lyon, Warsaw etc and were crap against hearts and Motherwell? WTF.

Rossco better watch the positivity brigade will be out to get you 😂😂😂😂

I got slaughtered for having that exact opinion last week.
As a player Gerrard won 0 titles and after 2 years of money being thrown at him he has won her haw apart from winning the SFA another cl place.

Gilmour was 15 years old when he was with us. Hardly going to get a game with the first team😂😂.

Young players come and go. It happens at all clubs, sometimes we benefit, sometimes we don't.
I agree Paterson and mccrorie should get more game time though.
SG didn't win a title, pretty sure he won the biggest competition in club football though. 🤔
You were taking the p*as out of posters yourself only yesterday Jenkins, so don't moan about getting slaughtered yourself! 😉.

jsijenkins, are you saying that Gerrard was unsuccessful as a player because he never won a title? There's not a player or manager, in Scotland, half as successful as Gerrard. For every pound being "thrown"at him they have thrown two and while I agree that he has to win something let's get the reality of our situation in perspective, we spent 5 years in the wilderness when they were pulling in north of £20 mil a year in CL money. We are and will be, for the foreseeable future, playing catch up financially to them. There is no one saying we shouldn't be beating Hearts and Hamilton but it's the team with the biggest, most expensive squad that's winning everything year on year and if we sell Morelos for £15 mil they could sell edwardo for £30 mil. I do not know what the answer is but I know getting on our managers back isn't it.

Can’t really afford to risk playing some youth team players every game this year if we are to try stop Celtic from winning 10 in a row mate. Hopefully see more of them come off the bench with the 5 subs rule when we are in cruise control a couple of goals up on a Hamilton or someone but this year is too important otherwise. Think next year we will probably see a lot more breakthroughs.

So young mebude is being signed by Man City to play in their first team? Chelsea and Man City have a history of signing young lads throughout Europe and beyond. Sometimes in multi million pound deals. The vast majority are sent out on loan and never see the first team. Look at the wee guy Celtic signed a few seasons back. 12 million from Fulham. One good season at Celtic and he has disappeared. Granted you get a billy gilmore or a Ben fodden every couple of years. But let’s see if they can establish themselves. Sg said if they are good enough they play. Look at 17 year old Leverkusen boy. Our best midfielder Ryan jack couldn’t lay a finger on him. That’s the level and none of our boys are there yet.

Jyf I've never once said he was unsuccessful mate although domestically and internationally he had a tendency to "slip up".

All I'm saying is it has been a running theme in this man's career to be successful in Europe but unsuccessful in the domestic league.

Can you argue with that?

And as a West ham supporter from birth I will never forget his wonder goal against us in the fa cup final.

Mr grumpy I'm not moaning at all brother merely forewarning the poster of the positivity brigade lol.

I did lay into the suggestion of having a vote on signings bit that is laughable it's hard not to poke fun at it.
