Am I right in thinking that if a club can't fulfill its fixture then the other team is awarded the points by virtue of a 3-0 win?
It could and must be argued that this is the case in both the sheep and the tics cases. These games were called off because those respective clubs weren't able to play.
Just apply good old common sense and rules and that's the outcome, never mind it's C.V. related, the outcome should be the same.
Unable to fulfill fixtures, award the win etc to the other team.

And if Rangers suffer from similar player stupidity would you still call for that when we couldn’t fulfil our fixtures?

Not sure if the detail of the rule but my understanding is that they could play but have been ordered not to.

Aberdeen’s was stupid. Celtic’s* is barely believable. I wonder how many players from other teams including our own are praying for their own indiscretions to go unnoticed.
