Ashley Pearce he broke the story yesterday for the observer has said the deal is all but done now I would love to say I wish SG all the best but I can’t SD he is leaving midway thru the season one trophy out of 9 is a horrendous record but he did do well for us with 55 and making is a better team but I know he won’t give a feck but I can’t forgive or forget him leaving during the season not with what he has been saying in interviews the last few weeks I am still hopefully he bc will stay but can’t see it anymore and what will be interesting is will ge come back in fir any players? Also I hope the Villa job ends up a disaster for him bitter yes but that’s my opinion.

My advice to Gerard would be stay at Rangers win another title, enrich yourself reputation in the game and with Rangers fans, give Rangers tone to find a replacement personnel and go in the summer when you’d still have the pick of some fairly big jobs in football. I’d be fuming right now if I was a Gers fan.

TomT, I am not happy that he is going, (assuming that he is of course), but if he wants the Liverpool Job then perhaps taking the risk by going to Villa with a significant transfer budget is a risk that he considers better than staying with us in a backwater of football where if you don't win the league your are a failure. Especially when you know that you have raging players that need replacing and all that you can sign are free transfers!

I am absolutely gutted tonight bears. He might not have won as many trophies as i am sure we all would have liked, but he did bring the good times back to the club, winning 55, stopping 10 and some great nights in Europe again, To leave in this way is a gut buster. To loose Walter (Thee Gaffer) and stevie G (the Gaffer) in the same month is devastating. There is still the possibility of 4 trophy's this season, a know the Europa League is long shot, but the other 3 are not. To leave like this is unforgivable and in my opinion he has tarnished his reputation as a Rangers Legend. He should stay untill the end of the season and finish what he has started, leave in the summer and go with all our love, support and repect. Just my opinion bears. WATP.

Loyalty works both ways. gerrad has never said he was leaving yet. but the many on here have turned against him. everyone is entitle to do what is best for themself and family, give the guy a break if he does leave he is leaving us in a far better position than we were before he arrived.
