I see Jim Duffy has been talking-up James Tavernier: 'Why is he still at Rangers? . he could play for any English top-six side. he would solve a lot of Manchester United's problems. he's the modern Captain and the modern RB. he's what every team wants and needs'.

I think we all know he's right. It would leave a mighty big hole for Rangers to fill though. It took him a long time to grow on us and I always thought that Morelos would be the player that we would miss the most. But, it may well be Tavernier that Rangers would miss the most.

have to disagree with you and Duffy mate. I love Tav and respect the man but no chance he could play week in week out for a top 6 side in EPL.

Hes a standout for us and hard to replace and he more often than not turns it on in big euro games but i don't think he could perform at the level required for EPL top 6 consistnantly. Too many times he switches off, gets caught.

Tavernier would walk straight into the arsenal man utd and spurs team not a problem he is a lot better than there rbs easily.

Let's hope that never happens then and he finishes career at Rangers and is inaugurated to the Rangers Hall Of Fame amongst a legion of legends.
Tav would be well missed if he left.

As a follower of Arsenal down south I`ve long said that Tav is better than any right back they have had in recent years . He`s also better than Wan Bissaka who Utd paid £50million for, better than Royal at Spurs and for those who say he can`t defend . He has the same faults as TAA at Liverpool in that he can get caught up field at times and no-one says he isn`t good enough to play in the EPL.

Tav consistently turns up at almost 60 games a season and I think around 17 at Europa league level last season with quite a few games going into extra time at the end of the season and don't think he was ever subbed. can't remember him making many mistakes in recent years to be honest since we got to the final of the Euro league and had the second best defence in the SPL and won a cup. There is little or no evidence to suggest he couldn't compete at a higher level but plenty to suggest he could.

Tav would be missed at Ibrox but to say he would get in a top 6 EPL team beggars belief. I don't recall anybody enquiring about him, not even championship teams. Why?

Like I said, I love Tav, and he would be a massive miss If he was to move on (he won't, he's here to stay), but there is no way he'd be the number 1 right back at any of the big 6 in EPL. Honestly? Behave! If he was good enough, why is he not there at any of them? Their scouts, management team etc all can't be wrong, can they? ???.
