Sands positionally not great also there striker pulled onto him in 2nd half and had more joy but we shouldn't be too critical he's not the 6ft4inch ch we need.

I have to hold my hands up and admit that I was critical of the boy and couldn't get my head around why he was playing, but those are impressive stats. I love being proved wrong when it comes to one of our players starting to show how good he is, and I think that Sands is beginning to do that.
Just proves that I know nothing (not the first time), and the real experts are running the team.

Perhaps we should be playing him alongside Lundstram in the midfield role rather than at centre back.

Sands played really well last night but for me he's not a centre half he would be far better in the sitting midfield / old anchor man position, I just feel he lacks the arial ability or commanding presence at the back, I actually think he could be decent in the sweeper role in a back 3 of Goldson him and Davies but that's no gony happen, sands, Wright and borna are getting it tight of late some critisicm over the top for me, regards to Wright definitely a player in there but his decision making badly let's him down on most occasions.

I thought Sands had a great game last night, I agree with John Rangers fans need a player to kick and Sands is one right now get off his back he gives 100% in every game he plays in or out of his natural position.

Once Davies gets settled in at cb Sands will play with Lundstram in the middle of the park I said this months ago and rate Sands very highly.

So glad someone put they stats up as I knew he was good last night didn't realise how good not afraid to play the "risky" pass what we sometimes need to realise is that gio is seeing this guy day in day out. I've not been critical of him but really starting to see a player there. Thought the team as a whole weren't afraid to play risky passes Thought some of the football last night was class against a class team. We Davis was excellent.

Take it you’ve no been watching rangers very long then Bassey? There’s a few that I can think of that have done less than wright. Carlos Peña and Umar Sadiq to name but a few.

Sands played well last night but he won’t be the big powerful CB the fans want. Positionally and In possession he will be good but he isn’t tall enough . and that’s why he’s previously been used as a CDM, 6ft 1 is small for a CB and unfortunately Leon King at only 6ft has the same issues. Both may end up moving fwd one purely due to size and physique.

Sands for me is almost that utility player, who can fill in in multiple positions well, but not really a No 1 in any of them.
I like the lad though. Not scared to make a tackle.

He is a marvellous player to have at your disposal, his versatility is great, and he is a very under rated footballer, just my opinion of course.

Sands is versatile in my opinion but the majority of supporters would probably prefer him to be deployed as a CDM than a CB including myself.
The stats posted by Clet are impressive and no doubt we might see him alongside Lundstram in the near future.
