So it seems to be Michael Beale who the board think will take us forward.

I'm not sure about this appointment (if it is him) , I was hoping for someone with more experience as a manager. Someone who has won titles and has a proven track record.

We need someone who can come in and revolutionise our squad and playing style. Someone with great standing in the game. Someone who players would jump at the chance to play for. Not sure Beales that man.

What a will say is, him and Gerrard built a terrific foundation before they slipped away into the night. They raised standards from the ground up and rebuilt a lot at our club. They might not have been as successful as we would've hoped but they won the most important one and stopped that other mob getting the 10 (unbeaten also) .

I'm grateful for both Beale and Gerrard for the work they did.

As grateful as I am to Beale and Gerrard I don't think we should be looking back. I don't think we should be employing a Novice as our Manager. Maybe in a few years when he's proven himself as a number one then perhaps yes.

This appointment to me is a cop out from our board, a lack of vision.
And looks like they are taking the easy way out with this appointment. And the board inviting Beale to Ibrox when Gio was still manager is shocking for me and shows a lack of class and respect if it is indeed him that takes over.

This of course is only my opinion and whoever is made manager will get my backing that goes without saying. This just seems to me as the easy and cheap option.

Because we invited michael beale to a box etc does not show any disrespect to gio etc all clubs invite guests to games who to say we ain't invited gerrard back to a game or david weir barry ferguson kevin thomson mikel arteta etc etc etc and they been to busy to come or came and not beem noticed etc.

Stating the obvious here, but Walter Smith was a number 2 and he's the best manager any of us have ever seen at Ibrox. Also, moving from QPR hardly makes him an amateur or a lightweight. I always thought that Beale was the brains behind the Gerrard/ Beale partnership and so I'm not pessimistic at-all about this appointment. It had to be done you know. The value of the player pool is at rock-bottom and he knows the players and so there's a good chance that he will get them fired-up, re-balanced, re-set and playing again.
