Storm appears we are also countersuing, end of day this is result of fans not wanting us to go.

Attendance would have generated Gio pay off and Beale's fee.

I’m not sure how they get us in an Australian court.

maybe they just serve you papers then pay a lawyer an absolute fortune to appear at court for you.

Also john what on earth can we countersue for? i'm puzzeled ?.

That’s good to hear John it’s just strange the amount of times this is happening these days as you don’t hear about other clubs getting sued as much maybe it happens more that i know.

Nothing to worry about from Rangers point of view, the organisers breached the terms of the agreement twice and Rangers pulled out because of that - they are trying to blame us, the fans for forcing Rangers to pull out, complete non-starter on all counts - a bery poor attempt at scaremongering.

Let’s wait and see.

Can’t we not sue the Aussies for giving us Peter Andre and Jason Donovan.

The only way as I see it that we could be sued is if we had signed a contract to go and then didn't adhere to the term of that contract, this looks a similar situation to the Hummell/ Elite Sport situation, I sincerely hope we didn't sign anything, that's all I'm saying.

I agree with you Gregory

Irvger we can sign deal, then they breach it, I’m sure the legal advice provided to rangers was sound.

I am sure they never paid Rangers the fee on the date stated, Rangers have a strong case against them in my opinion.

Glad to hear John27 saying nothing to see hear about yet another breach of contract case, only worry is every time John assures us that he’s read the court papers and the board done everything above board…we end up paying millions in fines and compensation.
For once just admit it’s another mess they got themselves mixed up in.

Bluebrother in my opinion Rangers have a stronger case than they do, not paying the initial fee on the date it was arranged for, so my take on it, it was them that broke the contract.

So fans not only cost us c£3m income would have received for playing in tournament but a £1.5m penalty fine lodged against us. Could not make it up. After agreeing to play it was an appalling decision to yield to pressure from some fans and not play.

John. I wasn't aware of the failure to pay us the initial Fee, in that case you make a good point.
