First time poster, I live in LA and have watched Cifuentes a lot as I follow LAFC, if he produces in a Rangers shirt like he does for LA he'd be a crackin signing, I'd see him make a switch to Spain before Scotland tho.

LA really into the MLS mate many talented players and the USA are producing some amount of quality youngsters now, looks like it is getting far more youngsters interested in football, Cifuentes would be quality if we could manage it, but you're probably correct if offered epl or Spain he ain't coming to Scotland.

Regarding kids out playing on the pitches, it’s more a case of really struggling to find pitches to play, in my area the council close grass pitches in Easter for two weeks break, and pitches are closed early in summer, it’s a struggle to book a pitch for grass roots match, in Scotland we do our best to put kids of playing, this is only my experience in my area.

Comes back to schools level in my opinion - where teachers don't get OT for working extra hours at weekend or nights - schools now relying on teachers doing it free of charge out of goodness of their hearts.
Also going back 50 odd years our public parks were jam packed with bounce games going on - remember even during midweeks of school hols that those unemployed (grown men) would be kicking a ball and many school youngsters would go along and get a game till dark o'clock -that helped get the youngsters hardened and interested in amateur/ Junior footy too. That's what got me hooked on the great game.
Changed times indeed!
