Sorry if this offends a few lads but I'm big enough and ugly enough to take the flak if it does. have we as a club really fallen that far and let expectations get so low that there are numerous posters below really wanting us to sign Barrie Mackay, who doesn't even start every week for hearts. Are we that willing just to follow onnblindly now to mediocrity that we will accept this? I'll say right now, if we sign Barrie Mackay and Kevin Van Veen to replace the players we are going to Lose there is more chance of us finishing 3rd than catching celtic.

We are now as far behind celtic as we were pre Gerrard. We had a board only interested in stopping 10 in a row with no real plan for afterwards.

I don't think we will sign them nor do i think either of them are the answer. But they have both had better seasons than our 2 duds anyway that's for sure. If we actually has a striker who scored goals would we be this far behind? If we had a left winger/ number 10 whatever u want to call kent. That actually contributes goals wise then no we prob wouldn't be miles behind.

I don’t think people are wanting Barrie McKay to come in and start every week. We need to sign Scottish players for the European squad rules and out of all the options available to us I’d say he’s one of the best. As a squad player he could do a job imo. 100% an upgrade on Wright, Sakala, Matondo (so far) and is more of a goal threat than Kent. Depending on the price it isn’t the worst however if he’s brought in to play every week and be our main left winger then yes we are in trouble.

We cannot sign this level of player or we will simply continue to be runners up.
Mackay and van been seriously better than Kent and Morelos Not even close .
Our two players have been awful this season they have gone stale at our club, we ship them out and look for better. I sincerely hope we are looking at better options if not Beale will be lucky to see Christmas as a Rangers manager.

David, in what way is he an upgrade on sakala and matondo. Sakala attracted bids around 3m last summer and matondo an 11m player not too long ago. Barrie Mackay nowhere near either player.

And if he's not going to be good enough to start every week he should be nowhere near ibrox it's that simple. We have squad fillers constantly for 3 seasons now, we should only be targeting players who will enhance the first 11. The ones they replace move down, and the squad fillers just now need to go to trim the squad. It's got to be 4 or 5 quality first team additions or its another year of 2nd best.

Davie barry mckay is nowhere near as good as any you mentioned he wasn’t good enough the 1st time he played for us and he certainly ain’t good enough now.
