Killie will be a formidable opponent in that cup so will hearts. Fancy jobs to beat st mirren n Ross co to beat Aberdeen 4 home winners for me.
I don’t think mb can ask for an easier run now if we can beat livi there’s no excuses not to win the cup now 1st trophy of season.

A trophy of any kind would mean a lot to this club at the moment. Fantastic that we now have a real chance at the League Cup. We’ve been eliminated and handed these trophies to Celtic for over a decade. It’s nice to see Rangers get a bit of fortune today - We needed it.

Kilmarnock will beat hearts at rugby park in the quarter final and their pitch to which they have a terrific record on, makes me think as much ?
My predictions for the 4 quarter final games are as follows -rangers to beat livingston, kilmarnock to beat hearts, aberdeen to beat ross county and st. mirren to beat hibs ?.

@onewalter, I agree with that However we cannot celebrate the mhanky mhob going out to Killie as they beat us, we need to keep our own council until we get back on an even keel, we have won 3 games out of 4 but not very convincingly, what I am convinced of is we will spank someone in the league but until then I’m not going to revel in today’s result.

Delight at getting beat less than Celtic got beat.

“That is what you take away from a woeful Rangers performance on the opening day of the season? ” - It’s a team filled with new players, mate. It won't click day one of the season. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it does (seems to be the case with Kilmarnock) but that hasn’t happened for us.

Let the team gel, then judge the performances later on. Ange was 6 points behind Gerrard at one point. Once it came together they rarely dropped a point domestically. Time…it takes time.

Everton will take a few games to find some fluidity and consistency just the same as we will and every other team who bring in 8+ players

Instant success is the stuff of dreamers but we are getting stronger and Celtic will not be as strong as they were last season as Rodgers is not in the same league as Ange as a manager and he will not set them up the same way.

Great result for Killie today and no treble for them this season is a great start but that doesn't mean we take it for granted were going to lift it still the same chance of winning we always had. Were scraping by on poor performances so if the lads do eventually start to gel together i can certainly see the potential and makings of a very good team. Were winning with a poor playing side skys the limit with a side clicking together.
