If we can't sell Dessers, there absolutely MUST be another position he can play. Obviously he helped us get into the last 16 of the Europa but one goal does not make a striker. any Ideas or is it just a lost cause.

Storm, I/ m not saying he's a bad player, I'm saying he is not a natural finisher . I gave an example of Vardy on a different post. that's a natural striker with Ball Control and balance . something CD just does not have. But, I do get your take .

Fact is with Desser he ain’t the quality required if we want to win our league, not having a pop at the guy just the way I see it, in fact the old firm games show us where we are lacking and it’s not just the striker position.

Let’s be honest here, Dessers is a likeable guy, works hard and ofcourse we wanted it to work out for him but the reality is he’s just awful in every department. He’s one of the worst No.9s i’ve seen in my time. He’s technically abysmal, he needs 4-5 chances to score, he’s poor in the air, can’t hold the ball up or link up, his reactions are terrible he’s always 2 yards off it, has no positional sense and for a player of 29 years of age his reading of the game is so poor. Morelos was such a focal point of our attack and we seen how poor we were when he was missing. We need someone like that again, someone who can make the ball stick and get us up the pitch, occupy defenders, link up and bring others into play and take chances when they come. For me Shankland would do that, or someone with a similar style.
