Would we really want Murray anywhere near the club? The guy sold us to the biggest chancer on the planet just so he could wash his hands off the mess he created. Can he ever be forgiven for that? I, for one, can never get over that. For all the good times he brought to Ibrox, he didn't half leave some mess.

I think if you look into it SDM was forced into selling Rangers by the banks, at the time the loads of business, s were under huge pressure of debt and Murrry Internationl was one, they had huge debt to the bank and with the big tax case looming they basically said get rid of Rangers or we pull the credit from your companies .
I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong but at the time he was under huge pressure, I was one who sat through the nine in a row years and watched some of the best players around playing in the Rangers shirts and at that time I never once heard any objection to us singing these stars.
So if it is true and I still think it's a huge IF I'd welcome those guys Souness would be great to have back on board he is the guy we need behind the scenes he would take no rubbish of anyone, we need investment badly we need a manager in the mould of Souness someone who will not accept these lack lustre performances we have lost seven games at home this season 21 points five of those have been under Murty that is simply not good enough, if Aberdeen win their game in hand we are third no change even after the Jan transfer window so for me I'd pick those three guys up with their investments and drive them to Ibrox

Only because his entire tenure of the club was funded by the banks rather than any of his own money. In fact, taking his EBT in to consideration, he probably took more out of the club than he put in. Okay, he did underwrite a share issue when the 'sugardaddy fans' once again failed to invest in the club.
The big tax case was looming over because of his decision to use EBTs. They may not have been illegal at the time, but he knew they were dodgy. So much so that he concealed their use in side letters. The financial collapse of the club was of his doing. People have to stop blaming everyone else for the meltdown.

As I said isle of mull, don't get all your info from rumour sites, do a wee bit of serious research yourself and see what conclusion you come up with . lloyds bank would have put us out of the game for just £19mil and we were talking about days here, look it up and look into Murray International too, we could have traded our way out of trouble but lloyds were in financial trouble at the time and called in all their debts putting hundreds (thousands? ) of businesses out of the game .

JYF rubbish mate this we only owed £19m how come we had 276 creditors with over £160m in debt. Granted £90m is to the taxman mate but the rest is to people we did business with on a daily basis and left them out of pocket. So JYF you do a bit of 'serious research' and show us how we went into administration owing £19m. As for SDM he left the tax payers (us as tax player owned Lloyd's at the time) £800m down, but was still allowed to cherry pick profitable parts of his empire to buy at knock down price. What a country if wee Jim corner shop hits trouble the banks are in to close it and probably want his house too, but the SDM and Phil Green of this world alway come up smelling like roses.

Although SDM is not my first choice of investor, at this moment in time we cannot be picky. Dave King has nothing and is clutching for dear life at the moment in his Chairman's seat.
I don't have any rumours or aunties and uncles who knows someone who knows the postie at Ibrox, but I, like many bears, just want stability and if that means a few names that we don't know or like coming into the mix, then so be it.

Your facts are right regarding the level of debt Rangers where due to many different businesses/ individuals and how the fat cats can wriggle out of it whilst the honest joe gets pumped.
But, my friend, SDM was like you and I, a fan chasing the dream. He gave me the RFC that I’ll support forevermore. Players like Terry Butcher, Ray Wilkins, Stephen Klos, Ronald De Bour, Arthur Newman. Paul Gascogne and Brian Laudrup. Not to mention Graeme Souness.
SDM was forced by Lloyd’s to sell or they were going to ruin him and us.
Craig Whyte’s the charlatan in my opinion and that ties into what I said initially cause now he’s suing RFC!

Silent bomber agree with you on lots of your post but SDM the football fan chasing his dream can't go along with that. This man didn't spend one penny of his own wealth on us, all friendly bankers money. Of course he did take his pound of flesh for his valuable time. It was shown in open court that if SDM sold us for the pound (remember it started at millions) he could get back bits of MI for a penny, we all know what the rugby loving chairman picked. Also mate G Souness was already at Ibrox before SDM arrived. As for Whyte he did put money in (alas not his own) but has to pay it back, so some justice. Again I will SDM used this patsy to make financial gain for himself also shown in court.

This look like the best transfer window in years. British based players at last. Hopefully we are starting to turn a corner. Let's hope DK and the other director make a big push to get serious funds available for the summer so we can sign some of the loan deals up should they do well

Can't help but thinking DM must be well pissed off with all this speculation going on. Rangers have perhaps played a blinder as it has unsettled the Sheep know doubt of that. Thought Rangers were good in lots of areas of the pitch.
Still don't think RJ deserved a red card. Watched it 20 times over on slow motion and it looks like he has gone in hard bracing him self for SM to do the same. No way could he pull out of the tackle.
Be nice to see some kind of fighting spirit against the unwashed in a few weeks time. The invincibles playing nobody decent for two seasons. Europe has shown how poor they are.

It's not there fault the rest of us are crap. it's not easy to do what they have done. as a matter of fact their unbeaten record will never get broken. anybody who has played football knows it's not easy to keep winning even games that don't mean anything. listen hopefully we can put a decent side on the park next year that can have a go at them. if we get the right management in and add a couple of quality players we won't be far away. that's as long as every player believes in it and they all play for each other then we will be fine. let's hope it happens

Just watched Rangers V Strum Graz at Ibrox Sep 2000 Michael Mols was fantastic than night. I had a mate from wales up for that game and he could not believe the atmosphere. That night Mols was different class.
Guys get onto youtube and watch this old match, big Archie MacPhersons commentary is quite majestic Ranges 5 Strum Graz 0. Wooof
The commentary was vintage Archie almost as good as Collins, Boyd, McStay Not good enough
Look at the team Class Class and more Class in all areas.
Mols was fantastic.
