Who would of thought 10-15 years ago we would be competing with teams like Barnsley for players. Used to be good European clubs who we were up against.

to be fair 10 - 15 years ago 50k per week was mega money for a footballer but the market has gotten so inflated all scottish teams have fallen so far behind we can't even compete for crap/ avarage premier league players any more.
id like to see all clubs agree to change the way they play to be more attacking, entertaining etc regardless of results so that we can start to produce better talent as a nation and then maybe the game and clubs in scotland will be able grow.

Are you mad? Barton was Burnleys player of the season and in the championship team of the year. You are seriously underestimating the championship buddy, he would be a great talent up here and a lot of the younger guys could learn a lot from him.

Why am I mad? Because I would rather have a player who plays for the jersey rather than someone who uses our interest to move to our biggest rival for more cash?
If Barton signs then I'll be right behind him but if he does what the OP is saying and opts to join Buck at Celtic I won't lose any sleep over it.

I would like to go for lot players ,but looks like we are going with what we got and maybe at push 2-3 others. Unfortunately I don't think Mr Kings big funds are appearing any day soon. I hope am wrong. Its the season ticket money we are to be working on, and I don't know if that is also to pay the loans to King and co first? because they don't have to tell us because we got de-listed, bloody hell.

Why blow the bank to get a huge squad? Proper management and training with players we have and a few more should do it for now. We can reassess in the next window. Having 4 or 5 squad players on 5 grand a week is 20 to 25 k a week we don't need to spend as we can blood the youth and reap the rewards of a proper run academy at murray park.
