My sources are telling me that Kent I spoke coming to Ibrox!

Angus Ger

1.) 02 Sep 2019 17:28:42
Yeah he's coming but Come on what sources? you mean Sky Sports lol.

10 Jul 2019 14:09:26
Swedish defender Filip Helander reportedly being the centre half we are trying to sign. Cost around 4m.

Angus Ger

1.) 10 Jul 2019 15:26:12
Aye a saw this too, fingers crossed. 4m is a lot of money tho.

2.) 10 Jul 2019 16:02:18
Saw this also. Makes you wonder if there is maybe truth in the Morelos to palace rumour and that’s where the money is coming from?

3.) 10 Jul 2019 16:52:19
Good player when fit.
If it is him coming then hope the medical is 100%.

4.) 10 Jul 2019 16:56:12
If am being honest don't see the need. Got Big Katic. i know wee need back up but don't need to be splashing 4 or 5 mill. Were not exactly flush. unless the sale of morelos on horizon.

5.) 10 Jul 2019 17:58:44
If Gerard splashed 4mill plus you
Imagine the guy is going straight in
The first team.

6.) 11 Jul 2019 00:22:49
tom eaves anyone. linked last year free agent now.

7.) 11 Jul 2019 00:25:37
Paul 86 you may not think we do but SG who is the manager must do if that’s who he wants to sign.

8.) 11 Jul 2019 00:28:11
Can’t see us paying £4M for a player that cost them £1.8M and can’t get into their team!

9.) 11 Jul 2019 06:37:45
Yes Gannet i agree there. But let's be honest Gerrard has signed more dud than he has sucesses actually probably around 50/ 50.

Excellent statement released by club!

Angus Ger

1.) 10 Feb 2020 21:52:44
Class. Nothing more to say.

2.) 10 Feb 2020 22:19:08
What was statment.

3.) 10 Feb 2020 22:20:17
Wow! A brilliant statement supporting our own Alfredo Morelos and condemning racism in general. Delighted that the club have now challenged the inaccurate journalism and have specifically named BBC Scotland👍.

4.) 10 Feb 2020 22:39:31
Listened in to Sportsound tonight to see if there would be any mention of why Michael Stewart was not on the programme as per usual on a Monday. Nothing said.

Must admit, I pay my license fee to the BBC but if I was a single man there wouldn't be a chance I would, can't remember it being this biased in the past.

5.) 10 Feb 2020 22:53:06
Well done Rangers on a terrific statement, it's well overdue, the way Alfie and Rangers in general have been treated by certain areas of the Media, and certain Broadcasting Organisations.

6.) 11 Feb 2020 00:13:02
as good as the statement is, I’m afraid it’s just that . a statement and talk is cheap

what are our club actually doing about the unchecked scurrilous lies about our players

backhanded comments mean and do he haw - we need to attack them and defend ourselves - lay down a marker let everyone know we are not an easy target and def not to be messed with

action needs to be taken or the attacks will continue.

7.) 11 Feb 2020 07:29:55
Have to disagree on the statement. A big topic but delivered in a spiteful and small-minded manner, much like many of our more recent statements.

No one likes us and we don’t care? I do. And lowering ourselves to that level won’t help.

8.) 11 Feb 2020 10:14:26
so vilifying a 12 year old who is supposedly innocent until proven guilty to score brownie points is class? This stinks of pettiness and bullying in the highest order.

9.) 11 Feb 2020 12:44:34
Drop all charges the boys only 12 people.

10.) 11 Feb 2020 17:44:26
Bruised bear the clubs been vilified for their silence then as soon as they say some thing they get shot down again!
I couldn’t disagree more these people need called out things said to date are shocking DAVIE Provan basically saying if you’re not happy your in the wrong city Roger Hannah saying he maybe didn’t understand the words As racist maybe it was just normal abuse? So they normal abuse is ok
I’m delighted at the clubs action and find it incredulous you can find fault in it.

11.) 12 Feb 2020 16:21:30
BBS. I don’t recall the club being vilified for their silence. However, my main issue is not the fact that Rangers has made a statement, it is the type of petty, attack-dog statement that has been made. I think the tone and language is all wrong and I have thought the same about many of Rangers and Club1872’s statements. I prefer a dignified Rangers. The current PR machine is one of poison and is in no way conciliatory at a time when I think the club needs to be. We are in danger of losing a generation of fans due to our recent troubles and lack of success and we need to be doing anything and everything to reverse this. And if that involves eating a bit of humble pie, so be it.

Papers now saying Tav could be out for up to 3 weeks! Let’s hope he makes a speedier recovery than that, would be a huge loss to the team.

Angus Ger

1.) 16 Jan 2020 08:03:04
Stay calm, take what the tabloids print with a pinch of salt.

2.) 16 Jan 2020 09:44:02
We've got three good back ups for right back.

3.) 16 Jan 2020 09:47:01
As much as Tav has had a decent few games in a row this would be a decent test to see how we actually do without him some folk think he's best thing since sliced bread others think we can cope without him no probs due to poor crossing and terrible errors. Flanagan go in to cover or throw young youth lad in who is impressing?

4.) 16 Jan 2020 09:56:34
If Tav is out, who do you think SG should play at right back? Flanagan or Polster or someone else?

5.) 16 Jan 2020 10:09:17
Ah cmom on. what's being said bout Tav simply tabloid garbage. Once he's got serious injury and another says man flu. Their writing anything to fill column inches.

6.) 16 Jan 2020 10:18:42
SG has said Tav had a small procedure and will be out for 3wks.

7.) 16 Jan 2020 10:44:46
Doiger - I think we will go with the young boy Patterson against Stranraer and if he shows up well he keeps the jersey. I think he’s the only one of the 3 options with the pace to replicate Tav’s runs down the right.

8.) 16 Jan 2020 11:21:45
Interesting theswagman. I haven't seen young Patterson play yet so sounds like a great idea to give him a chance against Stranraer.

9.) 16 Jan 2020 11:47:04
Manager says tav had appendix procedure out for three weeks, that’s six games.

10.) 16 Jan 2020 12:37:42
Thought Polster was away?

11.) 16 Jan 2020 12:57:58
Considering there are many posters on here who think Tav isn’t Captain material, Rangers class, can’t defend, can’t cross the ball or tackle it looks like you have all got your wish for the next 3 weeks as we see how Rangers perform down the right hand side without him. 👍
Let’s hope his absence doesn’t come back and bite us on the ar$e!

12.) 16 Jan 2020 13:06:39
John 25 the manager said a couple of weeks. In ny book that's 2 weeks. Probably wouldn't have played fri night anyway.

13.) 16 Jan 2020 13:10:33
Theswagman, you beat me to it mate, nathen patterson, ideal replacement. i. m. h. o.

14.) 16 Jan 2020 13:17:16
Mr Pacman u r right, however it’s a new right back we need, not ones already at club with possible exceptions of young boy Patterson
Flanagan and Polster are not better than Tav.

15.) 16 Jan 2020 13:34:42
Cool Paul, I agree he probably would not play Friday.

Then I it’s Wednesday st mirren
Sunday hearts
Wednesday Ross county
Saturday Aberdeen
Wednesday hibs
Then cup tie.
We r unlikely to be able to play him twice a week at beginning, that’s what’s the squad is for.
I’d go Flanagan but try out Patterson in Stranraer game and cup tie depends on draw .
I’m not sure we would play the boy against Aberdeen or hibs.
Also tav may be a quick healer.

16.) 16 Jan 2020 14:03:23
Hopefully john. I am 1 of his biggest critics but going into 2nd half of season we definitely need everybody available. Should pull through stranraer and st mirren without him. Hearts always tough place to go for us as they have shown us already this season. Aberdeen at home then killie away be tough as always. Nice to have a full squad to pick from.

17.) 16 Jan 2020 15:28:12
100% agree John, Patterson in the Cup tie and Flanagan in the tough league games. 👍.

18.) 16 Jan 2020 20:33:22
Ryan Jack has filled in at right full back before, recall he actually played for national side in that position.

19.) 16 Jan 2020 20:40:43
Gerrard won't chop and change from game to game. Probably Flanagan will step in and Patterson will be his backup.

20.) 17 Jan 2020 22:32:20
Jack will not play at right back, it would weaken the midfield as well as diluting the effectiveness a proper right back would bring. No chance.

21.) 18 Jan 2020 00:18:12
Doiger, i would hpoe young patterson gets the place, as unlike flanigan, petterson covers every blade of grass, up and down like a yoyo.

07 Nov 2019 22:05:04
Excellent win without playing great, especially first half. Morelos just keeps getting better! Great clearance from Kamara too in first half 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

28 Oct 2019 08:42:49
Our midfield was almost non existent yesterday, with only Davis playing well. Aribo does nothing, whenever he gets the ball he passes the buck, never drives forward. Arfield needs to be pushed further forward to be effective. We really miss Jack, can only hope he is back for next game and beyond. If Davis ever gets injured, we are really stuck!

Angus Ger

1.) 28 Oct 2019 15:06:14
Steven Davis always plays well mate.
He's still a tremendous midfielder,
who along with his midfield partner ryan jack, makes rangers tick.

2.) 28 Oct 2019 16:50:57
But he’s not young though.

3.) 28 Oct 2019 18:10:52
Young or not he's the best midfielder in scotland, in the current position he's playing in!
Davo could easily play another 2 or 3 years in scottish football, as he looks after himself and still very fit, even at his tender age of almost 35 years old now! Pure class act and him and ryan jack dovetail brilliantly together.

24 Oct 2019 11:11:37
A lot of people on here seem to be in the know of how bad a captain Tav is. Must be privy to what goes on on the training park, in the dressing room and on the pitch. Steven Gerrard is regarded as superb player and leader, so I think his judgement on who is captain is to be respected, regardless of what we all think. Tav is going through a bad spell atm, he will get back to his best soon and hopefully prove a lot of people wrong.

Angus Ger

1.) 24 Oct 2019 11:35:11
Very sensible post Angus Ger.

2.) 24 Oct 2019 13:01:08
I don’t actually think he’s anything to prove, in all honestly we should know what we’re getting as he’s been at the club for years now. He’ll will win us more games than he loses, no doubt in my mind. What is frustrating though is the games he costs goals, I. e Hearts, Celtic, Young Boys etc.

He’ll still score and assist us goals but these will more than likely continue to be at home against the smaller teams who we dominate.

I think we’d benefit from taking some pressure off him and perhaps consider playing Flanagan at right back in the bigger games or away from home, as I said in another post, perhaps Ross McCrorie could be a long term solution.

Lastly, as the op has stated, we don’t know what does on behind closed doors, Tav could be being instructed to play a high line and push forward!

3.) 24 Oct 2019 13:28:35
Not for me playing ross mccrorie at right back!

4.) 24 Oct 2019 14:55:57
McCrorie isn’t a RB, holding mid will be his position.

5.) 24 Oct 2019 15:37:46
I thought the same however Portsmouth seem to be speaking very highly of him in that position, how many of us honestly watch Portsmouth play? Could we honestly say yes or no without watching him 4 or 5 times?

6.) 24 Oct 2019 18:35:42
SRK my sister lives in Southsea and her husband never misses a Pompey match. The fans down there do not rate Ross at all, and the most common comment is 'send him back. ' They are also highly critical of the manager playing him at right back where he has failed to shine at all. Maybe he's at the wrong club with the wrong coach, but he's certainly not setting the place alight, mate.

7.) 24 Oct 2019 18:48:40
Interesting insight Daisy 👍👍.

Thought Whittaker impeded the goalie and also thought it was a penalty on Kent! Double whammy from from Madden!
Hopefully we can push on now that we have equalised.

Thought Arfield had his best game this season, hopefully he is back to his best now. Also thought Davis was great today, seemed to get even better as the game went on. Any kind of win on Wednesday night will set us up nicely for Sunday! 🇬🇧🇬🇧.
