The Sun clamming that Cammy Bell will sign for Dundee Utd today but doesn't say anything about the transfer fee . I'm happy to see the back of him but I'm not a fan of letting players go like we did with Darren McGregor for free to clubs that hate us or pure and simply will not sell players to us (Dundee Utd and Hibs) Does anyone know if there was a fee and if so how much?

1.) 21 Jun 2016 10:16:09
Cammy Bells contract has expired. We would not be be able to command a transfer fee.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 10:18:25
Thanks Bluerangers that answers my question more wages freed up.

3.) 21 Jun 2016 10:26:49
Doesn't his contract have 1 more year.

4.) 21 Jun 2016 10:30:13
The Sun clamming Bell has a year left on his contract?

5.) 21 Jun 2016 11:11:57
I'm sure he has a year left and yes, I agree, we should not do business with either feeder club.

6.) 21 Jun 2016 11:32:54
I don't think so either. I remember a year ago Hibs refused to sell to us even after there own player handing in a transfer request after we made a bid. Never do business with either of these clubs and never allow them to take players for free like we did McGregor.

7.) 21 Jun 2016 12:48:04
Bell has 1 year left on contract but we have released from contract early. Assume we would pay him something to leave early.

8.) 21 Jun 2016 13:52:16
My Mistake, bell does have a year left on his contract. In that case we should demand a fee and if we don't get one, he can sit on the bench. Who knows what wages he is on though, i would imagine he will recieve a 20% rise for us getting back into the SPL and he is probably on about 6k a week at the moment, judging on the other daft contracts Leech and Lambias organised with other dud players. So we may be forced to let him walk. I would offer him plus 200K to Hibs in a swap deal for Cummings.

9.) 21 Jun 2016 13:57:15
should never help any1 of those clubs but I honestly never rated the guy as a good keeper so I understand if we wanted rid of him I think wes will become better and better the guy is only 25 and I can't see warburton replacing him. I hope we can get another great keeper like the ones we are used to but don't think there are any out there that we can afford.

10.) 21 Jun 2016 14:32:43
I disagree, why shouldn't we offload unwanted players? Also could this mean Mcgovern coming in?

11.) 21 Jun 2016 16:08:22
Based on his performances for us I don't think we are doing Dundee utd a favour- quite the opposite, his butterfingers will keep them in championship for years to come.

12.) 21 Jun 2016 19:33:49
Transfer window isn't open! Thought it opened on 1st July? Obviously different story for free agents but Bell is not free.

13.) 22 Jun 2016 09:23:14
I also agree we should be doing no business with either Hibs or scumdee utd, let them act as feeder clubs to selic and take in their many many many rejects.

After going to the game yesterday. Kilmarnock has one chance through a goal keeping and defensive error and took it .

We need to understand Kilmarnock are a club if they get a point against Rangers at Ibrox that is like them winning a cup final .

What I'm more worried about is the lack of players we have who have the balls to simply run at a player, take there man on, travel with the ball, beat a man .

The only good thing about yesterday was that the sheep are as equally rotten as we are .

I don't know if it's there but if it is in my opinion money should be spent on quality not quantity. A creative midfielder would be top of my shopping list as all our midfielders pretty much do the same job . Morelos is a talent no doubt but we are far too reliant on him and he might not be there next year so another quality striker . Centrehalf and a winger . Candieas works hard but that's not enough to inconsistent for me . That's four quality players if the money is there .

I've played in teams if you put three or four good players in an average team it gives players around them firstly confidence and gets the best out of guys who are not as gifted playing along side good players .

You need to want it as well ( success ) that isn't something you can teach but for success you need belief. Our manager can't strip Tavernier of the armband at this point in the season would be crazy if a bid comes in I would sell him having said that who do you give the armband too because I'm struggling . Others Rangers men will say McGregor but personally I like my captains to be outfield players .

This is long winded I'm just frustrated with another season . Had a conversation with my dad and said all the successful teams he remembers had a partnership upfront I said to him it's not really the done thing anymore he asked why? Which I thought was a fair question.

1.) 17 Mar 2019 08:33:48
I've always wondered how Hardie would have fared up front alongside Morelos. I guess we'll never know now.

2.) 17 Mar 2019 08:49:07
Well what I will say if we don’t have a lot of money too spend on quality I was talking about your going to have to tap into your youth set up . The coaching staff see these boys at least on a weekly basis I’d imagine.

You do need to be good enough but you need to be giving and opportunity. To me that’s not coming off the bench with 7mins to play . It’s telling boys like your McCroires and Hardies you will start the next two games make sure I can’t drop you after that .

3.) 17 Mar 2019 08:57:39
Spend spend spend. We need to accept we can’t afford quality players, well not established quality. Defoe and Davis are finished that why their here see out their days at a big club.
The club needs to invest heavily in young hungry players W they had that chance coming up through the league s and blew it big time again wasting money on a lot of crap and by their best players.
Chasing Celtic is not helping the youth policy. Mcrorie bench Docherty loaned Hardie loaned just a few examples of players who should be the backbone of what the club is aiming to achieve. a team full off who will fight for the shirt.

4.) 17 Mar 2019 15:58:29
Another Bear McCrorie was OUTSTANDING for 4/ 5 games and got cast aside for nothing!

5.) 17 Mar 2019 17:58:31
I agree with you L17 he had an absolute blunder against them and hasn’t played sins after Gerrard sayingbrhis boys going to be a future captain? Strange one for me but he changed the time the next game against Kilmarnock to accommodate Defoe and Davis . What is it they say don’t change a winning team and don’t fix what not broken?

12 Mar 2019 20:20:14
A goal down after 3 mins at home very poor .

Let's see what Gerrards team are made of I'm making this post when the game is 33mins old . Can't see this game being turned around this team don't have the character hope I'm wrong.

1.) 12 Mar 2019 20:34:13
Let's see What Gerrard made of u mean.

2.) 12 Mar 2019 21:09:16
I hate being right all the time

Season over

Not a very good team and another lack lustre season with no fight .

Getting boring now .

3.) 12 Mar 2019 22:30:44
Not much it seems.

09 Mar 2019 11:35:04
Time to reflect .

The league is over but Celtic haven't had to work hard for it again . After every two or three games it's the same shpeal .

We need a reaction that's been Gerrards post match interview all season .

Far too many times we have seen different teams turn up .

Glad all the title talk can stop now and hopefully we get lucky in the cup .

I think we will finish second but that's not an achievement so far this season the highlight was being back in Europe I would back our manager and give him another year .

This season has not been good enough .

Finishing second is not an achievement.

1.) 09 Mar 2019 15:30:28
Aw give yourself peace. SG has had to build at team from scratch. This is his first season as a proper manager, so he is bound to make mistakes.
We have lost the same amount of games as that mob across the city. The only difference in the league is that we have drawn 5 more games than them and in at least 4 of those draws we have been robbed by poor refereeing decisions.
I fully believe had var been avail this season we would be sitting 2 points behind that mob.

2.) 09 Mar 2019 16:36:07
Stewartyblue - if SG won the league by 10 points there would be Rangers 'fans' on here complaining that it should have been by 11 points.

As you stated this is his first year and tbh he should not be judged on this one but next year.

He is a rookie manager and is making rookie mistakes - this is what happens when a manager with little or no experience is brought in.

I fully support SG and I fully support his team. SG knows what needs to be done and I fully expect him to rectify it.

3.) 09 Mar 2019 17:03:07
I can’t accept mediocrity I'm a Rangers man

Blaming referees is just an excuse

They drew with the sheep today so another opportunity missed .

The truth hurts when it’s not good enough it’s not good enough simple .

It’s Gerrards first season and as I said I would stick with him but I’m not interested if it’s your first or tenth season as a manager at Rangers the message is still the same you need to win the league.

4.) 09 Mar 2019 17:38:00
Stewarty, the ref robbed us in at least four of they games. Did he aye😂😂👍.

23 Jan 2019 22:13:18
The fight is on to stay in the top four . Time to be realistic consistently falling at the first hurdles after gathering momentum. The old firm win now means nothing.

Not consistent enough to challenge need to try our best to finish second now.

Try our best to beat teams like Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Livingston which won't be easy

( there's something I honestly thought I would never say but time for all the title carry on to stop )

31 Oct 2018 21:52:04
Joke, disgrace, no belief, no energy .

Europe aside very poor league start .

Fed up with excuses.

Fed up with that defeat/ draw will lift us for the next game .

Stop talking start doing.

Every player that wants to leave can go Ill be surprised if its a bigger club that Rangers that's for the full team. Warburton has said it many times they will leave on our terms whatever offer comes in from players I would double it right away . So in this case its believed to be 2.5m for a full back that scored 15 goals and can score you 4 or 5 free kicks? 4.5m and best of luck . Just my thoughts.

As I told your “ buddy “ I don’t know where your extension was as I have zero interest in Celtic can’t say the same for you guys on a Rangers page on a Saturday night 😂. Obsessed with the Rangers?

You’ve answered your own question as well they could have just given us the points?

More penalties kicks would have been nice as well.

Ulsterman Rangers played 4 games in 10 days before a European final and as I said in my previous post a few months ago in the Sun I read an ex SFA employee admiring they could have done more and chose not to .

As for Scotland we are the worst football team out of all the home nations IMO I watched use against Estonia deserved to wi. nd very strong at Windsor park.

Me personally like yourself Ulsterman I’m a Unionist but I’m Scottish . I believe that the SFA and SPFL make life hard for Rangers at any given opportunity. Senior figures have came out in the press and admitted themselves that they could have done more for us in the run up to the Europa League final and Manchester but choose not too and these people are supposed to do what’s best for Scottish football so when one of your country’s teams gets to a final and you don’t help them in anyway you can seems like Anit-Rangers too me plus I’ve seen Ian Black and Ryan Jack both bood by there own fans (Scotland fans) while representing there country . My dad used too tell me of times he went to Scotland games on Rangers busses with Union Jack flags went too Wembley and there was no English there . Changed days .

Don’t know about you Ulsterman but Rangers comes before everything aside from my family .
