Ramsey loan until summer. If he helps us win the title that will do for me. No mention of option to buy in the summer i'd imagine wages would be a problem long term.

BRW11

1.) 31 Jan 2022 22:34:20
Brw i think the ramsay deal is a loan with option to buy.

2.) 01 Feb 2022 12:42:42
I’m told rangers rejected clause if we won league we had to buy him for 5 million, awaiting for him to prove his fitness.

3.) 01 Feb 2022 22:05:47
Plus wages john easy 9 million.

Here Roofe had a quad problem and hence why he was taken off, not sure if this was an injury going into game or picked up during game. I hope Roofe doesn't now miss several weeks as he is an important player for us.

Fingers crossed it's a minor Injury.

BRW11

1.) 03 Jan 2021 12:21:01
He is injury prone hence why his previous team wanted rid.

2.) 03 Jan 2021 13:33:18
He took a couple of thuds, yesterday, so hopefully nothing serious.

3.) 03 Jan 2021 17:54:20
I heard same, apparently a flat rear left tyre and gearbox trouble.

4.) 04 Jan 2021 11:52:56
No what I heard Bizzmy, I heard it was handbrake cable strain.

Ed a poll please. Over the past few weeks I've seen talk on here about Scottish strikers.

If Rangers were to sign a Scottish striker who would you want from the following 4 players.

a) Lawrence Shankland
b) Kevin Nisbet
c) Ross Stewart
d) Lyndon Dykes.

BRW11

{Ed033's Note -

Scottish striker poll

1.) 11 Jan 2023 16:36:23
Out those 4 Nesbit then Stewart wouldn’t have the other two.

2.) 11 Jan 2023 16:40:29
b)
c)
a)
d)
In that order for me.

3.) 11 Jan 2023 16:49:15
A then b.

4.) 11 Jan 2023 16:51:07
I believe Stewart is a step up from their players now, but we will not get him, he will only leave Sunderland for 10m this window maybe could get him for 6/ 8m later on in the window, but where is that cash coming from.

5.) 11 Jan 2023 17:03:18
I don't think any of the 4 are of the standard we require.

6.) 11 Jan 2023 17:07:24
100% Nisbet.

7.) 11 Jan 2023 17:08:12
B
D
C
A.

8.) 11 Jan 2023 17:10:50
Oli McBurnie?

9.) 11 Jan 2023 17:13:13
Is none of the above an option?
Shankland - loads of penalties
Nisbett - 32 Hibs goals, 13 of them penalties
Dykes - 64 career goals, 9 of them penalties
Stewart - 84 career goals, 8 of them penalties
Do we need a penalty kick taker?

10.) 11 Jan 2023 17:20:31
Mph Stewart is a far better player now, his time at Sunderland he has 0.72,scored 28 last season, and 9 in 9 this season is a far league than ours.

11.) 11 Jan 2023 17:23:38
Another vote for the thanks but no thanks option, cheers.

12.) 11 Jan 2023 17:23:56
Benn following Stewart last couple of years. His development has been excellent. Think he would be class for us if we get him. Can hold the ball up and link play as well as being a goal threat on ground and in the air. Not sure we could get him now as he is very highly rated down South.

I also really like Nisbet but would not pay Hibs money they would ask for him.

The other 2 I don't really rate, Colak is way better than Shanks and Dykes does not score enough for me.

13.) 11 Jan 2023 17:33:35
Tavs on the decline so need a penalty take soon .

14.) 11 Jan 2023 17:34:35
Stewart
Some distance
Nisbit
None
None
?.

15.) 11 Jan 2023 18:43:40
Tommy the improvement in Stewart the few years has been unreal, he is obviously a late developer.

16.) 11 Jan 2023 18:45:57
Sorry 26 last year.

17.) 11 Jan 2023 19:32:12
I'll abstain as there is no option for 'none of the above'. Some 'fans' have a real paucity of ambition for our club.

18.) 11 Jan 2023 19:54:32
I’m in same camp as u tavsloyal.

19.) 11 Jan 2023 20:29:36
Beale he is 9 goals in 11 games.

20.) 11 Jan 2023 20:30:14
Tav and John what striker should we get then?

21.) 11 Jan 2023 21:21:50
Stewart’s a definitely upgrade on Colak IMO but maybe to expensive.

22.) 11 Jan 2023 21:44:27
1. Haaland
2. Lewandowski
3. Salah
4. Mbappe
5. Benzema

Some Rangers supporters - none of the standard we require!

23.) 11 Jan 2023 22:10:22
Also not inspired by any of them.

24.) 12 Jan 2023 12:14:38
Storm I’d stick with Morelos all day long.

Stewart appears best off that list, but they say 10 million, we can’t afford that.

21 Dec 2022 08:21:29
Has Beale given any timescale on Tom Lawrence return? I was hopefully he would be back for this stretch of games over the festive period but looking like out for longer. When he is fit again does he play in starting 11? Who drops out? When Lawrence, Tilman, Hagi and Lowry are all fit it will be interesting to see who are the regular starters. So much ability and potential with those players!

BRW11

1.) 21 Dec 2022 09:14:28
I'd heard February before Lawrence is back.

2.) 21 Dec 2022 10:50:56
Lowry should be getting game time - - i'd throw him on from the start instead of waiting till we are a couple of goals up. The way we are playing that isn't going to happen soon.

3.) 21 Dec 2022 11:42:34
Hi folks, that is very disappointing, what exactly was the problem, we've had serious injuries in the past, but never had a player (s) out for so long, is our Medical Team new, or is it the same lot, as something isn't right.

30 Nov 2022 08:16:05
Who from the long injury list will be available for the Hibs game, does anyone have any info?

For me Goldson and Lawrence back would be a huge boost.

I think having Goldson and Davies as a partnership for the second half of the season would serve us well.

In the January transfer window a quality midfielder needs added and a Goalkeeper. Both have to be able to be starters for me.

Then in the summer a hug rebuild begins.

BRW11

1.) 30 Nov 2022 11:38:44
Need a right winger as well it’s been years since we had a decent one.

2.) 30 Nov 2022 12:06:39
I think he will play Tillman on the right, it's basically 2 numbers 10 he plays mainly in his formation, it's fullbacks he uses for width, Yilmaz will be great in the formation he normally uses.

3.) 30 Nov 2022 12:54:28
Tillman on the right geez we are going nowhere if that’s the case.

4.) 30 Nov 2022 15:03:06
It's is basically a lam ram he normally plays with, he will know far better than us if Tillman plays ram.

5.) 01 Dec 2022 16:15:26
Hi GVB, can you explain to this old fart what a lam ram is mate.

06 Nov 2022 17:01:31
Seeing Sean Dyche being mentioned on here as a replacement if Gio gets sacked. Got a lot of stick for unattractive football at Burnley but he was a very effective manager who got the best out of his players something Gio seems to be struggling to do.

Would be a good appointment in my opinion if he is being considered.

BRW11

1.) 06 nov 2022 17:19:56
i’ve said earlier mate, but i’m sure dyche comes from a very republican background and we might not be his cup of tea,

i don’t think he would be a success as rangers manager, there’s a massive difference between fighting fires all the time against superior teams and managing a club l.

2.) 06 Nov 2022 17:55:48
TT, don't even think that tripe would come into it.

3.) 06 Nov 2022 19:52:57
Just to clean something up TT ~ this is 2022, not 1962?

You clearly have a wee issue burning away inside but most of us have deleted the sectarian bile that haunts a minority of our followers.

Maybe time for you to escape the Catholics in Scotland and live the high life in Croatia (majority Catholic BTW) .

4.) 06 Nov 2022 20:11:29
I get where tt is coming from. He’s a James McLean clone, how many would welcome him to our team.

Me no.

28 Aug 2022 07:41:25
Really happy with Gio and his coaching team we are a more adaptable side and the style of our play is every bit as good as Gerard's team. One area I don't feel we carry the same threat are corners not sure if the stats back this up. We also seem to be weaker at defending corners. What's others thoughts?

BRW11

1.) 28 Aug 2022 08:22:25
BRW11 our defence at the moment scare me with balls into our box I must admit. With regards to our corners, too many are the same in my opinion. A bit more variety would be nice.

2.) 28 Aug 2022 10:24:01
Corners give me heart palpitations Scotty mate, be needing a new settee soon unles we start defending them better .

Mind you we did yestersday, so here's hoping .

Cheers all.

3.) 28 Aug 2022 10:53:34
BRW11, don't start me, I've been saying this for 3 years!, b4 Gio came in.
I close my eyes when we give away a corner, and seldom get excited when we win one.

4.) 28 Aug 2022 11:35:53
Don't do a Colak and write Davies off. The boy will do well I'm sure of it.

Disappointed to hear that Tom Lawrence seeing a specialist and he might have another set back. He was one I was really looking forward to returning.

Thanks John25, great info. This would be an exciting signing. If we land Bazoer and Bassey goes our 4 CB have to be Goldson, Bazoer, Souttar, King. What do you reckon?

I hear Helander injured again and to see specialist I believe his contract runs out next summer. If we get Bazoer I think we would move Helander on but might be difficult with his injury record.

Dado I tend to agree. Unless the guy is exceptional and hits the ground running a loan without option to buy is disappointing. I would like to see Lowry getting more game time this year.

For me and I believe the club are trying to do this we have been guilty of too many squad fillers and going forward should have a strong 16-18 players with quality youth able to be part of first 11 if good enough or adding quality to squad without being a wasted wage.

It appears to be maybe just a loan for Tillman. I’d love if this is a loan with option to buy next year. Could be shred business if that’s the case. Anyone know if just loan or with option to buy?

Armstrong was good last night but he reminds me of Jordan Jones would he be as effective in our team against a low block, I’m not so sure.

A lot of sympathy for Roofe with that injury you can see his frustration. That’s an unlucky injury but sadly he can’t get a break and it’s frustrating as a fan as the guy has so much talent and as he showed with his goal he can be such a great player.

Was pleased for Scott Wright for his assist but oh boy he nearly undone it all with not taking the ball to the corner kind of sums up Wright.

Jack was excellent today but we definitely need legs and energy in that midfield. Kamara a shadow of a player now and if we can sell him in January and get 4-5M that would be sensible business. Lundstrum poor today but I do wonder how fit he is and he will come good again.

From reports I think we are just negotiating a fee to get Cantwell now and that takes time. There are a lot of good players who are free agents in the summer. I hope we are working on Ross Stewart for either this window or at least the summer when his contract expires appears he is unhappy with Sunderland’s contract offer. A Sunderland fan told me at the start of the season he had been unreal for them and it appears he is banging in the goals in the championship too, would be a great signing for us in my opinion.

SWS Cantwell is an interesting one he was highly regarded when Norwich were in the EPL and had a good season with them. Seems to have lost his way recently. If he was coming in he plays left of midfield so I would think a replacement for Kamara. Is he any better, not sure ? If Beale can get him rediscovering his form we could get a really good player.

Couldn’t agree more Scotty123, he’s been a huge loss for us. A fit Tom Lawrence makes a big difference to this team, let’s hope we can see him in February sometime.
