Personally although I admit to forgiving Naismith and wanting his return, I'm happy with the way things have panned out. I didn't think that Cummings would be interested so I'm pleased about that, although I should point out he's only scored goals in a championship where Halliday and Holt were standouts! Eldersliebear you can hardly say he robbed us of a transfer fee given that Green and his henchmen robbed us of all those negligible fees plus 10s of millions more! In terms of the press conference he has apologised and showed remorse, those without sin should cast the first stone! As for Bazza and the rags can we please stop paying attention to red top newspapers! Their sensationalist headlines are designed to provoke reaction, so your merely keeping them in business. One more thing, if Cummings barely scores and Naismith proved his fitness and performed well at Hearts would some of you change your minds at all?

Its the principle mate he should have signed and left for a hundred grand, with his reputation in tact. He left the club in the wrong way.

2.) 19 Jan 2018 15:19:25
I'm not disagreeing with that just that he has apologised and I for 1 would allow him to try and make it up to us. If as most are predicting he's injured and/ or pish at Hearts then no great loss tbf.

3.) 19 Jan 2018 16:28:03
Tbf big marv spot on there am not for bringing players back as it’s proven at most clubs they rarely do come back better (but it does happen) but if tav had to go and Hutton was surplus he would definitely do a job in Scotland till the voids filled! πŸ‘

4.) 19 Jan 2018 16:59:29
Wrong side of 30 and always injured - he claimed our club was dead which gave ammo to the unwashed . Time to move on.

Regarding Windass, since he's been playing more centrally we've seen a big improvement and he is yet to reach his full potential. There is big money flying around down there and even more so for young Englishmen. However when everyone is fit I think he'll struggle to get in the first 11, and I have my doubts as to whether he'll ever be truly good enough. Given what we paid for him if we can get close to Β£1m plus a sell on percentage for him then re invest that in Docherty then I think that would represent good business. Bring in a few more Englishmen on cross border development fees in the summer (e. g. Cole, Roberts etc. ) hopefully one of them turns into Dembele dollars!

Keep Believing!

1.) 17 Jan 2018 21:07:29
Windass is a far better prospect than Docherty and we should be trying to keep him.

2.) 17 Jan 2018 21:10:00
I don't rate windess and want him moved on.

First of all let's not get carried away, it's a pre-season tourney for the Brazilians and it was probably their 2nd 11 in the 2nd half. I feel the two games have been a valuable experience playing against a different style under different conditions with a mixture of first team, fringe, and youth players, most of whom acquitted themselves very well.
El Buffalo will definitely benefit from the added creativity of Murphy and Goss who looks really good, credit to Halliday also. Some lovely goals and we may end up with a trophy to show for it. It can't do our image any harm either.

Keep Believing.

turning it around in the second half to win the game give the players a confidence boost dalcio seems to be getting a fair crack in these games aswell espically today i like his direct style and could be like a new signing if get him performing

2.) 13 Jan 2018 20:21:38
im hearing a few reports of the dalcio putting in a decent showing too?

3.) 13 Jan 2018 20:27:27
Yes BigMarv05,totally agree mate! We can't get carried away with a friendly tournament but was pleasantly surprised and pleased by our 2 performances over in the florida cup! I really like the look of sean goss! I already wish we could keep this young fella, permanently! We now know what michael carrick, paul scholes and nicky butt told us about young goss! He has a terrific range of passing, short and long and his deliveries are very good! He will be superb for us i feel, just sitting, like his idol michael carrick used to do for man utd! Just sitting in front of the defence, dictating play, and hardly giving the ball away, keeping possession, pinging balls long and short with his terrific array of passing!

4.) 13 Jan 2018 23:58:44
The delivery for the first goal was outstanding, finish to match as well. Impressive stuff.

I might be a bit late to the party on this one, and I do respect the opinions of those who will never forgive the "rats". Personally I don't blame them as the club was allowed to fall into the wrong hands and any fees received for them much like the paltry sums we got for Davis etc would only have further lined the pockets of Chuckles and his cronies. I was more frustrated by the likes of Fleck, youngsters who could have been mainstays by now. I know we helped Naismith through some bad injuries and his press conference was at best ill advised and at worst unforgivable, but he was clearly hurting like the rest of us and has since apologised and showed remorse. Lord knows I've made my share of mistakes. He would without doubt improve our limited attacking options and I'd be disappointed if he ended up at Killie. Either on loan or pay as you play it's a yes from me. I also think Lafferty would have done us a turn and if Shagger was to come back he'd still be the best keeper in the country.

And whether you agree or not.
Keep Believing.

1.) 11 Jan 2018 17:59:55
He is going to Hearts

2.) 11 Jan 2018 18:22:21
Well said also if Steve Davis wanted to come back that would be great

3.) 11 Jan 2018 18:23:26
Can't blame Fleck for leaving given the grief he received from fans for having the audacity not to be as good as Wayne Rooney

4.) 11 Jan 2018 18:46:31
Why call them rats, they were right to go and look after themselves and family's. Fact if they had stayed we would be broke by now.
Those who continually look to the past and the present will miss the future.
I would sign Naismith in a heartbeat. Better than any one at Ibrox same re McGregor

5.) 11 Jan 2018 20:01:16
Naismith now Steve Davis, god this is painful reading!

6.) 11 Jan 2018 22:27:20
Don't need to keep looking back to sign ex-players. Time to look forward, to hungry, younger players

7.) 12 Jan 2018 01:18:54
they didn't know at the time chuckles would have tailed the fee so no wouldn't want any of them back

There seems to be mixed opinions on Big Bruno. We exited Europe before he'd kicked a ball in anger and from that point the rags had decided he didn't want to be here and didn't like the style/ standard of football, the climate, the cuisine, or the vino. Some or all of that could be true but at this point it's just speculation. What we do know is that he is the highest earner, he's been in and out of the side due to injuries and performances have not been up to scratch. We also know he's determined to make the World Cup, and Wilson, McCrorie, and Bates have all improved since his arrival. IMO if he is indeed committed and can get himself fit I would make him captain and build the team around him. If he does leave then Martin on loan would do for me.

Keep Believing.

BigMarv05

1.) 09 Jan 2018 19:11:57
Just to be clear I wouldn't make Martin captain or build the team around him!

2.) 09 Jan 2018 19:46:02
I agree I would make him captain although would get Martin on loan still to partner him bates and Wilson as back up mcorie midfield.

3.) 10 Jan 2018 13:30:36
i would let alves go all day long he doesn't want to be here and is our highest earner by far yes he has brought on and educated our 3 young centre backs but has been paid handsomly for doing so his wages could be used on 2 or 3 decent new players

4.) 10 Jan 2018 14:09:23
Who is going to sign him if he is currently injured? He has been injured at least 3 times since we got him and that’s in 6 months. I doubt very much he will be going anywhere this season

Tav' never a defender either really more of a wing back which is where Cadden has performed well for the hammer throwers. Also he's young enough to learn how to defend better.

Tav is the one player we have who would stroll into the Celtic side, and before you say he can't defend well neither can Celtic. He's worth far more than Windass and I wouldn't deal at any less than Β£4m given the money down there he's probably worth more to some of them. That said if he does go Cadden would be a fine replacement I'd also take Hutton who's a far better defender than Tav and been consistent of late.

I do agree it doesn't matter which team a player supports if he's good enough but wherever possible it's surely better to have ones who care that little bit more and give an extra 10% when required?

I would say it's because they're the obvious ones for lazy journos and the most believable for fans, but most importantly it's essential for the clubs identity to have a steady stream of blue blood running through it. Mark Allen seems to know this given the appointments of Jimmy Nic, Bomber etc and several other ex players plus the Dorrans and Murphy signings. That's not to say we shouldn't be exploring every avenue to find new talent, but having just set up a scouting network that's surely a longer term goal.

We are never going to agree on this one and should just stop bickering. As I've said if your not happy with the deals that puts you in the minority not me. Thankfully people like Walter and Murty seem to share my opinions. Stats may not lie but they only tell a fraction of the full story. Leadership qualities for e. g. do not show up in stats. Naismith was a loan deal and me choosing him would have resulted in admin so that is what you said actually. Your league 2 pals might be successful at clubs like Ross County etc. but would never be good enough for us and you'll do well to find anyone agreeing with you on those players. I await your final response but think we shouldn't get drawn into this again as it will be boring the pants off everyone else.

Keep Believing!

Your opinions are based on stats. They might be banging in goals in front of 1000 fans when there's no pressure on them but there at a lower level than Garner and Waghorn and they're only at that level for good reason, if they were in their early twenties they might have time to improve but at their age they've found their level. Meanwhile Hutton and Naismith have already proved they can handle the pressure of playing for us. Granted that was a while ago but up until recently Miller was one of our better performers and Davie Weir was one of our best defenders in recent years so your opinions on 'golden oldies' proves that you know less about football than Fifaguy! Also Naismith played over 30 games for Norwich last year and loan deals would not put us in admin. If we signed your lower league superstars we would slide down the league rapidly guaranteeing admin. You talk more pish than most on here and the ones you agree with are trollsπŸ€”
