Four lads reporting that the Zungu deal has collapsed?

Blue blue sea

1.) 04 Aug 2020 14:56:59
It was certainly dragging on, hopefully we can set our sights on dejan djubicic now.

2.) 04 Aug 2020 15:10:25
3.8 mill is very steep for someone in last year of contract and just been relegated.

3.) 04 Aug 2020 15:16:40
Isn't that just typical.

4.) 04 Aug 2020 15:17:25
Not sure it was ever going to happen.

5.) 04 Aug 2020 15:21:18
Four lads haven't said anything of the sort!

6.) 04 Aug 2020 15:36:36
Jsijenkins, I second that.

7.) 04 Aug 2020 15:42:49
Younger, and in my opinion proved against us that he's better than kamara.

8.) 04 Aug 2020 15:47:54
They never came out and said it but did allude to there being a possible break down in the Zungu move, some are saying failed medical and some saying work permit issue only. Time will tell, still waiting on John Eustace haha.

9.) 04 Aug 2020 15:54:40
Agree would rather get the other boy than Zungu, however if he does join hope he turns out brilliant.

10.) 04 Aug 2020 16:06:31
Four lads stating he has not said Zuniga deal dead.

11.) 04 Aug 2020 16:09:19
Appatently the lad is desperate to sign but our top offer is 2.5m.

12.) 04 Aug 2020 16:15:33
I'm being told ljubicic would cost no more than 2.8 mil with rapid looking for 2 mil upfront so structure might be an issue.

13.) 04 Aug 2020 16:23:28
I’m being told same re Zunga price. Deal is not dead.

14.) 04 Aug 2020 16:24:16
Scotsman saying personal terms holding up the deal probably the agent seeing pound signs for them self that’s holding it up as usual.

15.) 04 Aug 2020 16:38:44
Yer maws away and check his social media clearly says deal in doubt due to issues.

15 Apr 2020 23:06:25
I pray that we have this incriminating evidence and if so use it, I cannot get my head round how Stewart Robinson remained on the board given we are supposedly going to "war" with SPFL
After all the bluster and posturing we went public with we will will look ridiculous as a club if it's a damp squib.

Blue blue sea

1.) 15 Apr 2020 23:46:41
I agree Blue Blue, the whole stinking process has been a sham. I actually hate Scottish football and the way its run. If it wasn't for the teddy bears i'd be off like a shot. I hope we have strong evidence of wrong doing within the spfl and fight them with all we have. Hopefully we can bring down the house of corruption and coercion around these muppets.

Rangers had a solid plan in place to release funds to the teams who desparately need the money at the same time as giving the league time to see if it could be finished on the pitch.

You have to laugh at the spfl saying our plan wasn't competent. Judging someone elses competency when you've just shown the whole footballing world how incompetent the spfl are is a joke and a half.

2.) 16 Apr 2020 00:18:41
Well see in the next window when Dundee get celtic fringe players on loan, I'd bet my life on it 👍.

3.) 16 Apr 2020 01:43:27
Why would you remove yourself from the board and lose any inside leverage you have during a situation like this? Makes no sense.

We can and are fighting with Robertson on the SPFL board. What exactly is he meant to do in this situation. Dundee have been tapped up along with god knows how many others.

Tell us what Rangers could have done about this situation before anything actually happened?

4.) 16 Apr 2020 09:16:59
he could have resigned and threw the the spfl corruption wide open.

5.) 16 Apr 2020 10:24:16
Blue blue sea, maybe the spy in the camp kinda thing, lol.

6.) 16 Apr 2020 10:14:50
if this scenario that has played out has anything to tell us at all. then walking away from responsible governance either in football or society is just NOT on. unless you leave the country.

7.) 16 Apr 2020 11:21:53
bearmode is right. run away is no solution and the problem. in football governance and the rest of scottish society for that matter. its weak and less weakness being shown by England recently.

28 Jan 2020 16:07:59
Reports were being linked with a "lengthy " loan spell for a sporting Lisbon under 21 international. Why? Of all the positions we are covered in surely mid field is it? Crying out for forward cover.

Blue blue sea

1.) 28 Jan 2020 16:44:24
Daily Rebel saying reports are wide of the mark. Take whatever they say with a pinch of salt though.

2.) 28 Jan 2020 18:31:13
Kamara - rubbish
Davis - great
Arfield - going through bereavement
jack - injured

If there's one position we're ridiculously thin on, it's midfield.

3.) 28 Jan 2020 19:18:36
Kamara - rubbish? Behave man. Young boy has had 1 bad game. He's been an absolute steal for us and will earn us a tidy profit when we decide to sell.

4.) 28 Jan 2020 19:53:39
Yeah but if performances like Sunday continue who would buy him?

5.) 28 Jan 2020 20:27:08
Rob1910 What evidence is there that his performances will continue to drop? He's a young guy who, up until Sunday, has been pretty consistent. Do we just write him off after one bad performance? Some folk need to get a grip man.

6.) 28 Jan 2020 22:00:05
Joke comment

Depends on type of midfielder as what we lack out with Kent who is hot and cold is give ability to burst past a man and create, not necessarily passing ability.

El Eyonussi, arzani, Christie, Rogic, Johnson, forrest etc vs. Jones, Barker, ojo, Stewart

No contest.

7.) 28 Jan 2020 22:01:26
Big thing for me is we have 2 very different strikers but play the same system. Alfredo is great in a 4-3-3 as he can drop deep and run the channels and it brings the midfield closer to him.
Defoe on other hand is a penalty box striker. We should play a 4-2-3-1 with him in team as it gives a central attacking midfielder closer to him and he doesn't drop deep and run channels.
Arfield or aribo for me in the middle of A3 man midfield in that system with the 2 guys either side are wingers.

8.) 28 Jan 2020 22:03:07
Thing is too, at home Defoe is an ok option as the game is squeezed and the midfield are closer as the game is pushed up but away from home the game is longer and defore is too far from the midfield. That's why a 4-2-3-1 is better option away from home in games like Sunday is Alfredo isn't playing.

9.) 28 Jan 2020 22:13:27
Not fair to say Kamara rubbish. He will be a standout at the Euros this summer, mark my words.

10.) 28 Jan 2020 22:58:18
Yea a bit of ignorance there if you ask me . A small dip and some are on the victim like heyenas. I mean ok we are all entitled to opinions but don’t you think it’s a bit strange that before Xmas most if us agreed his value was veteeen 5 and 10 million?
If you don’t agree check the old posts .
I’m not sure if there are a few plants coming on here to cause unrest . as some of the post names I do not recognise and they ate obviously new . so fellow bears be on your guard . you know their tactics . We’ve had one bad result do they need to exploit it as much as possible. throwing in as much negativity as they can BEWARE.

11.) 29 Jan 2020 00:05:14
Richy1471, get in touch right away with the manager and the senior coaches and put them right.

12.) 29 Jan 2020 01:53:21
Not saying Kamara's performance will drop but need to hope it doesn't.

13.) 29 Jan 2020 08:02:48
Kamara is a class player he had a nightmare on Sunday. most weeks he would get away with it being bailed out by teammates. On Sunday he was nt because so many others were poor also. He ll know how he played and look to get back to standard ASAP I’m sure.

14.) 29 Jan 2020 09:41:40
richy1471 how dare you suggest that our manager is anything but perfect. Some people will call you a Celtic fan for such sacrilege.

15.) 29 Jan 2020 10:01:30
Kamara not rubbish. very tidy on the ball But he is very slack in possession like sunday that happens week in week out if am honest. again will bring up the example of him basically getting jack sent off v young boys.

20 Dec 2019 21:56:58
Gaffers interview talking about Defoe says enjoy him not going to around much longer? Does that mean he's going back down south or his age and time he's left to play?

Blue blue sea

1.) 20 Dec 2019 22:48:15
Just watched the interview there and sounds pretty definite that he’s for the off.

It’s a real shame because he’s a class act but he can’t be happy with the amount of minutes he’s played.

Says a lot that Alfredo is keeping a player of his calibre out of the picture.

2.) 20 Dec 2019 22:55:28
Unless Defoe is in a episode of the Sopranos it purely down to his age.

3.) 20 Dec 2019 23:06:21
CBS it means enjoy him end of! He is a perfect gentleman a perfect professional and hope fully stays with us and helps with our younger lions coming through and he is 37! Shame we didn't acquire his services at an earlier stage Defoe is the perfect professional football player and adversary.

4.) 21 Dec 2019 01:21:11
What rot. He's talking about his age, not anything to do with him leaving. Where do you people get your negativity from?

5.) 21 Dec 2019 02:56:52
Briangerfan, yip that's the way i think the way. The manager was meaning it .

6.) 21 Dec 2019 10:01:46
Daisy yore it’s a question, a valid question! as the gaffer gave no context to it why are you so aggressive in your reply? nobody is being negative if you read posts, the only negativity is in your pitiful post.

7.) 21 Dec 2019 10:09:32
Watch his interview on rangers tv talks about age.

8.) 21 Dec 2019 13:50:53
Defoes staying at rangers. he clearly has a soft spot for rangers and he ain't going to get more minutes if he gets a recall back to epl. he will sign a deal to finish his professional career with us. he will be here for 2 in a row maybe even 3.and can i give my opinion. if he played instead of morelos this season. same games same situations he would be on a higher goal tally than morelos. i just think he's a much more gifted striker than morelos.

he knows a pass when he sees one and his eye for goal is deadly. which is why in another post i said i would start him before morelos on the 29th. morelos may have a much higher goal rate than defoe but that's only because gerrards played him more. he's not greedy with the ball. imo if he was same age as morelos with the same speed he had at that age morelos wouldn't get a look in.

i know morelos will be hard to replace but have faith in defoe. he shouldn't be playing second fiddle to anyone. its an opinion so please don't slate me for it but when morelos leaves wether it be january or the summer. defoe should be our main striker with gerrard looking for a bench warmer for him. the guy rarely puts a foot wrong and knows exactly where the goal is. he's proved he's still got the fitness levels needed for up here. he may be 37 but he plays like a 25 year old. still a good 2 3 years left in him for spl.

9.) 21 Dec 2019 13:51:45
I'm sure he was referring to his age, nothing more sinister than that. Thought his goal was pure class. Top drawer.

10.) 21 Dec 2019 13:48:05
Pretty definite that you don’t understand sg was simply brushing on Jermaine age .

Try to look at the big picture.

11.) 21 Dec 2019 16:16:00
I love Defoe but he played at Ibrox when we lost 2.0 and never got a sniff with the game changing when Alfredo came on last twenty . so don’t kn what your in aboot 9?
Stevie plays it perfectly.

12.) 21 Dec 2019 17:42:07
I'm positive gerrard was referring to defoe's age when saying the fans should enjoy him! He'll finish his playing career with us and will play on for at least another couple of years! A player coaching role and he's definitely staying with us beyond this season IMO.

13.) 22 Dec 2019 10:08:16
He also played at Ibrox when we beat them 2-0 mate with his dummy setting up the 2nd goal.
Alfredo does more all round, holding it up better, stronger in the channels, the air and creating chances for himself.
Defoe though has better movement and is a better finisher in the box.
We also play a different style and create more chances from different areas when Defoe starts, you only need to look at our form last 6 games of last season, hard fixtures we won comfortably when JD starts.
I think Gerrard has rotated them well for the majority of the time usually starting with El Buffalo on big matches especially away from home but think Defoe deserves more minute from the bench than 10 here and there.

14.) 23 Dec 2019 17:43:23
Jermain Defoe is still a quality striker even at 37 now. This wee fella has the physique of a 27 year old and you can see what a top pro he still is and the way he looks after himself. He's a goalscoring machine as his goal against hibs at ER proves. One chance he got and the ball is nestling in the back of the net. It was an extinctive finish from a thoroughbred of a goalscorer! No wonder he's in the top 5 striker's list in the history of the english premiership/ premier league! Morelos has already learned a lot from defoe and has become much better because defoe is at ibrox. Defoe is still the most natural, gifted goalscorer, we have at rangers. Any chance that falls to him in the box gets tucked away with applomb! Its a must we get him signed permanently, beyond june of next year. I think its certain he will stay and end his career at rangers, as everyone can clearly see he loves our club and our supporters! A striker coaching role also in the pipeline for defoe and little wonder!

20 Aug 2019 08:45:44
I read we're linked with Eamon Brophy? Surely not, even as a squad player I'd be stunned if we do go for another striker is like to see a "Hateley" type not another smallish front man.

Blue blue sea

1.) 20 Aug 2019 13:13:48
I still have hope for Barasic but it’s fading fast. Taylor would be a good replacement if we decide to punt Borna.

2.) 21 Aug 2019 00:49:17
Taylor is an average player in a poor team and not up to the standard we require.

Ben Chilwell to Chelsea from Leicester £50M! do you think Brenda will have a look at Barasic as replacement?
Really hope not! But as always money talks 🙏.

Blue blue sea

1.) 26 Aug 2020 21:28:01
I think he wants tagliafico from Ajax mate or the German left back from Atalanta from what I’ve read but I’ve been worrying about him coming in for borna all summer now mate, maybe spurs as well fingers crossed he’s still here when it closes 🙏.

24 Aug 2020 13:56:18
If Kent doesn't want to go come out and say that! Think gaffer not handling this too well you can't say they're not for sale but every player has a price?
What's the point of contracts? players seem to hold all the cards Ed made great points in the breakdown of transfer fee distribution if Kent went for £14M we'd be lucky to net £6 how do you replace Kent for that?
Why is it all our top players being unsettled? Almost has an agenda feel to it!

Blue blue sea

1.) 24 Aug 2020 14:23:25
An agenda from who?

2.) 24 Aug 2020 14:34:26
Give them time christ! If they had to come out and rubbish every bit of rubbish printed to hook gullible fans then it would be a 24hr job.

3.) 24 Aug 2020 14:36:48
What’s the gaffer not handling well? Offer in offer refused simple you want our players you pay top dollar if the player wants to go let him if he wants to stay he stays it’s not rocket science but what I will say is it looks as if buff cannot even navigate oot the car park never mind make it to France 🇫🇷.

4.) 24 Aug 2020 14:50:42

5.) 24 Aug 2020 14:57:08
Snell read Jackson’s article today that should answer your question.

6.) 24 Aug 2020 15:35:46
Since when did Jackson of the Daily Rebel become relevant?

7.) 24 Aug 2020 15:44:12
The Kent stories are posted in Yorkshire media too and both that bid and Morelos being dropped have been discussed directly from the gaffers mouth. The press up here are a bunch of useless b*stards but we can't just start crying "agenda" at every single thing.

22 Aug 2020 16:59:08
Thought Barker was good today maybe Gerrard playing him without fans to Build up confidence if there's a crowd he can't touch ball without groans!
Roofe looks like he needs a few more games but did far better in 2nd half 3 points were vital today
Come on the Scumdee Utd!

Blue blue sea

1.) 22 Aug 2020 17:18:06
Its nothing to do with fans. 2 cm 2 st creates much more space for wide players, we saw it today. Its tactical, always was👍.

2.) 22 Aug 2020 18:34:40
Load of nonsense as usual Coldo. 🤦‍♂️.

3.) 22 Aug 2020 19:01:43
No its not🤫👍.

20 Aug 2020 21:27:22
If social media pictures of the Turkish v Chinese Castore tops are to be believed there is a sh! *t storm coming their way
Can't believe we've managed to allow this to happen! (again if true )
Turkish ones look like market fakes absolute shocking.

Blue blue sea

1.) 21 Aug 2020 08:23:25
The Chinese tops are the player quality one's due for release later this year! Some where released early by mistake! All explained by castore! Happy?

2.) 21 Aug 2020 11:08:45
For all the constant moaners regarding the slagging of castore regarding pro rangers shirts being made in china, ie. player quality shirts and replic rangers shirts which are replica shirts made in turkey, what's the big hullabaloo?
Tom beahon did state from the beginning that there would be a pro top for sale to our suppor
ters to purchase, if they wanted! Its a storm in a tea cup over nothing here!

3.) 21 Aug 2020 12:00:16
More S--t stirring only IMHO SGL, there's been a few posts recently trying to discredit what we're doing.

20 Aug 2020 10:59:32
Man Utd 2nd keeper Dean Henderson signing an extension to contract worth £100k a week! 23 years old 2nd choice keeper surely that's not sustainable?
Money down there is mental but we keep selling players like Docherty for washers, £400K in big scheme of things is chump change to even Hull and surely his wages off the wage bill won't make that big a difference to our bottom line?
ED what's your thoughts on the market down south in this C.V. era? looks like it's not impacting that much.

Blue blue sea

{Ed001's Note - it is a lot if they see him as 2nd choice in the long term. Personally I think he should be 1st choice and I think long term he will be.}

1.) 20 Aug 2020 12:29:14
Manchester United is The one Team probably in the world that can spend the money as there commercial dept. is amazing they have deals for just about everything. there kit and kit sponsor deals are the biggest in the world.
