Can the club make themselves look even more foolish. Post on site that MW, DW and FMP all resigned and now remove it as all three deny it. What an earth is going on with this board. ?

Blue nose

1.) 10 Feb 2017 22:00:42
Hold on a minute. Clintons campaign got hacked proving that if someone want to hack anything g there is a good chance that they will but because it happens to RFC the board must go?

Get a grip

2.) 10 Feb 2017 22:06:22
This mess needs sorting tonight, how embarrassing

3.) 10 Feb 2017 22:32:55
What is going on? Its beyond a joke at the moment, surely a statement would have been made had they resigned ir been sacked? Absolute shambles yet again! Where is the transparency promised by king and co?

{Ed039's Note - a statement has been made)

4.) 10 Feb 2017 22:45:26
Blue nose? Statement has not been removed

01 Feb 2017 21:48:16
no fight no spirit and no class. Hyndman only one who looks like a player and he'll be going back in few months. Fod can't be blamed. Shocking defence in front of him he must be wonder what error going to come next.

If MW says once more about learning lesson. Didn't control the ball and usual dross. It clear to everyone his team are poor. Don't look like we would score if we played on till Saturday.

DR reports today McKay wanted by Leipzig for £6mill. This will test the board to see if keeping our youth to build on is more important than Balancing the books. Personally I would push for 8mill and use that to buy 3 players. CB, DM and striker

Blue nose

1.) 20 Jan 2017 09:02:31
£8m would test the board's resolve Blue nose, but we need to think about the push for 2nd and the prospect of European football. What will Barrie McKay's stock be at after a couple of euro games? This is only the first bid from one team which will trigger a mad dash of scouts etc from everywhere! . The board will have to run the risk of him getting injured if they keep him. Difficult one for DK and Warbs. I think Warbs will push to keep him tho because he knows a potential EPL move looms over the horizon.

2.) 20 Jan 2017 10:12:10
Anything over £5 million I think the board would bite their hand off. Disappointing as I do think he is both our best and most promising player at the moment.

3.) 20 Jan 2017 10:31:12
The delusion here is outstanding? Explain the £6m valuation other than the daily record saying so. Decent player, played well in the Hogmany game, nothing more. £1.5-2m at most I'd say

4.) 20 Jan 2017 09:21:21
I'd say sell him. Take the £6mil and buy Hayes and Nicholson. Hayes is probably on par with Mckay and older so we could use him for a few seasons. Nicholson is a good player on his day, one I'd love to see in a Rangers shirt, he will only improve with time too.

5.) 20 Jan 2017 09:31:27
Also Bluenose I see your point about getting a CB, DM, ST. however, without Mckay we'd have no cover incase Wallace ever gets injured again. If we are going forward with the 3-5-2 then we need to replace Mckay or need a backup LB. Aidan White from Barnsley could do the trick, he's fast and a decent defender who can play as a left mid.

6.) 20 Jan 2017 09:44:51
6M for a boy who hasn't played in europe and isn't an international regular who has 18mths on his contract is a great offer if true i'd like to tie him doen on a new deal hopefully get a crack at europe nxt season then we can start the bidding at 10m

7.) 20 Jan 2017 09:47:26
Dont want to sound negative bluenose but i hate the thought of warbs potentially having 8 mil to spend on players if we sold mckay for that. wouldn't go on players anyway, it would be used to pay for running costs i expect. Bad times

8.) 20 Jan 2017 09:59:16
I don't think we are in a position to knock that sort of money back I think there will be a lot of pressure from all side to sell if that sort of bid came in. Totally agree that we should hold onto him as a bid from the EPL could easily double knowing the ridiculous nature from there.

9.) 20 Jan 2017 12:43:37
£6million? I would bite their hand off.

10.) 20 Jan 2017 14:07:12
91bhoy it's simple. A player is worth what a club is willing to pay. If Leipzig want to pay £6m he's worth that. Still to see any £30m plus offers for Dembele that you lot seem to value him at 😂

11.) 20 Jan 2017 16:31:56
Jmaster. I'm not being disrespectful, just wondering were that valuation came from, as Leipzig, as far as I can see have not made any bid. I also see that Hull and Swansea are Supposedly interested but with a valuation of 1.5m, so i wasn't too far away.

Dembele has performed very well in league, cup, Europe and France u21 all season. If he continues that 20-30m is very achivable.

And for the record, we all know McKay is not worth 6mil 😂 But if a teams willing to pay that then fair play. Rangers certainly aren't in a position to knock back offers of a significant amount

12.) 20 Jan 2017 20:04:11
McKay is a full international. I've watched him the last two seasons and on his game he can be unplayable at times. I actually wouldn't accept £6m. Where does your valuation for dembele come from? Just because Brenda said it in an interview? I'd have McKay over Forrest or Roberts I'm sure you value them at more than £2m?

13.) 20 Jan 2017 22:12:59
Wow! I have no words for that! I can't really comment on McKay too much tbh, outwith games against Celtic I have only seen him a handful of times. The best he's played was in his last game against us, and he was your best player, but nothing special, just had a good game. A lot of my pals who see him every week even comment how erratic his form can be. So for these reasons alone, added with the fact he has no real experiance playing in a top league out with the last 5 months says to me he's not a 6mil player.

I've explained my reasons for Dembele, and that will be further proved when he will undoubtly get a France call up this year.

And for BM being better than Forrest and Roberts 😂😂😂 McKay would be lucky to make a Celtic bench. The gap - don't forget!

14.) 21 Jan 2017 05:40:20
If Dembele is called up for the full France squad and displaces the £60m rated Griezmann then I will happily accept his valuation at that point. He hasn't so far. The last game against your mob wasn't McKay's best performance. His performance in the semi last year wasn't bad either when he scored a bullet.

15.) 21 Jan 2017 11:22:16
if we sell mackay I really hope David king keeps this money locked away till the summer we have enough in the squad 2 get second and Warburton record in the transfer market is not great

16 Jun 2016 06:27:54
DR reporting today that the Clint Hill deal will be finalized today and krakjar has signed. Hill I am shocked at as I have never heard of him and he played in aQPR side that leaked goals very easy even with top class keeper. Surely better players available in our budget than Hill. If Krankjar has signed and to join up on US tour why don't we know about it?

Blue nose

1.) 16 Jun 2016 06:33:31
We have not heard as he has not signed yet, gone are the days when McCoist would tell the world who we wanted then we would get none of them.

2.) 16 Jun 2016 07:24:21
Kranjcar can't sign until his deal with the cosmos is up on the 30th June.

3.) 16 Jun 2016 08:16:29
Blue nose, He will play for a year which will give the younger lads a share of his experience, he will then go into coaching. sounds like a great idea.

4.) 16 Jun 2016 09:08:53
I can't believe some people are saying they've never heard of Clint Hill. He's been a mainstay of championship level football for at least the last 10 years. Wondering if people even watch football when Rangers don't play. Anyway can one of the nay sayers remind me how old Davie weir was when he won the league at our club? Pretty sure he want far off 37. I recon Wilson and kiernan would really benefit from someone like him barking positional orders during a game. What do we think Bears?

5.) 16 Jun 2016 09:12:06
Also someone mentioned a top class keeper behind him . Surely this was a joke he had Rob Green behind him and that guys been stealing a wage for 15 years. Then he had that Brazilian nightmare for a year. I trust MW to sign who he thinks he needs.

6.) 16 Jun 2016 09:49:44
i trust in mw aswell but I think that we could with spendi bit of money in two areas, cb position and an all out goal scorer.

7.) 16 Jun 2016 09:56:52
Your not seriously saying Wes is better than either of those GKs? Brazilian nightmare. wondering if it is you that actually watches football.

8.) 16 Jun 2016 10:34:05
S*n is reporting a deal for Khalid Aucho is all but complete, are wee trying to match celtic for midfield numbers. all be it the boy looks a decent player from a few youtube clips (although a few youtube clips could make me look a player too)

Not bad for a Brazillian nightmare eh Blueshaun! Some folk need to watch football other than Rangers games. Clint Hill would be a fantastic signing, experienced CB with bags of knowledge. I'm a fan of Big Wes but can only dream of winning honours like that!

10.) 16 Jun 2016 12:36:16
I believe in military terms that's what's called getting blown out of the water.

11.) 16 Jun 2016 12:46:30
. but it still doesn't help clint hill because nothing can.

12.) 16 Jun 2016 12:51:55
I watched virtually all of the games the Brazilian played in the premier league that year he was at QPR and he was shocking I stand by my statement. He eventually got dropped for Green which says it all I think.

13.) 16 Jun 2016 12:55:57
And no I'm not saying Wes is better but Scottish football is around championship or league one level. My point was about Hill doing a job for us not that I wanted a discussion about a bloody Brazilian goalkeeper. I'll say it again I trust MW to make the signings he wants for his team .

14.) 16 Jun 2016 13:32:11
Then don't make ridiculous statements about a "Brazillian nightmare" .
So if the SPL is around the same standard as the championship what makes you think Clint Hill won't do a job considering he's had played at that standard for umpteen years!
I agree with you about MW signing players and we are all entitled to our opinions.

15.) 16 Jun 2016 14:45:06
Read my first post re Hill signing Scott.

16.) 16 Jun 2016 17:04:09
Clint Hill will be a good signing, has also played with Joey Barton in the past. V good no frills defender who can defend. By reputation is a very good pro and will add experience and defensive cover in what will be a testing season.

17.) 16 Jun 2016 17:22:34
My mistake Blueshaun, at least we agree on something 😁.

18.) 16 Jun 2016 17:53:57
Alright bluenoses I think Clint hill is a great option bags of experience and looks to me like the magic hat is building a solid back bone to the team. What's the news with Niko Kranjcar who I think would be a Great signing. But my favourite yet is Jordan Rossitier.

It's on BBC Scotland sports site that he has agreed terms with us mate.

2.) 23 May 2016 23:05:32
Team mate Andre Grey tweeting tonight saying he is gone.

3.) 23 May 2016 23:52:38
Hes coming up to Glasgow tomorrow lads to sign a 2 year contract and an option for a further year if he wants it, can't wait til he gets that blue shirt on.

4.) 24 May 2016 01:13:21
Joey signs for us gers absolute fantastic can't wait and shocked to get somebody off tht quality one things for sure from start to finish roll they sleeves up and let's get ready to rumble attitude we have badly missed tht in midfield bring on rodgers and celtic now fingers crossed fellow bears we get a solid no nonsence centre back who will spill blood sweat n tears and another striker greg stewart or kane hemmings would do me i have my doubts about jason cummings.

5.) 24 May 2016 11:02:47
I agree Barry, I wouldn't want Cummings any where near my club. He's a glory hunter and not a team player and I don't believe he'd put his head in where it hurts to make the difference for us.

6.) 24 May 2016 11:48:08
and joey barton is a team player What planet are you on.

7.) 24 May 2016 15:36:26
Dundee want 1.5 mil for Greg Stewart would rather we spend our money else where. Björn Sigurdarson and Adam Le Fondre are out of contract at wolves would rather one of them just random names i'm putting out there.

8.) 24 May 2016 15:53:11
Dth100, Think you'll find Barton is an ideal team player who makes other players play.

16 Feb 2017 07:55:12
MW and co lawyers stating they want to see evidence of the resignations of all three parties to prove they resigned. I really hope there is such a document otherwise rangers are going to look ridiculous to all in the football world and potentially have an adverse effect on getting a quality replacement. Surely our board who are all astute business men know employment law?

Blue nose

1.) 16 Feb 2017 08:59:36
just because lma gets involved everyone panics, as far as i am concerned they resigned end of, i don't think they have a leg to stand on, it will all blow over soon when they get their move to where they thought they were going

2.) 16 Feb 2017 09:09:36
Supposedly the LMA don't have the power to demand it, there's no way it would have happened without some sort of documents

3.) 16 Feb 2017 09:24:34
MW is saying he never resigned but is not denying the agents involvement with the three of them going to another club and subsequent change of heart. The lawyers are going to be the only winners here.

4.) 16 feb 2017 09:47:36
yep- play on words, they did not personally resign, their agent did if terms were met. their job fell through and they came scurrying back.
personal view, i think dk called the agents bluff and played a blinder.

5.) 16 Feb 2017 10:32:38
Surely there should be something legal that says if you try and sign for another club whilst employed at a club, then that employment contract is void. Cannot have your cake and eat it sorry.

6.) 16 Feb 2017 10:49:23
Hope you are right about the document (or statement in front of witnesses). I spent many years in employment law and most cases lost because most senior execs did not know the law and fired when they felt like it. We should have someone in place somewhere who does know the law surely.

7.) 16 Feb 2017 10:57:08
Does anyone even know how resignations work when your agent represents you? Personally I haven't got a clue but I reckon it is different from me walking into work with a resignation wrote out. Surely if you have someone agreeing terms for you then all of that is above board?

8.) 16 Feb 2017 13:46:48
Don't like the sound of this. Looks like another trip to court I reckon we've been in court more times than Andy Murray. Just hope we've took right advice on this one or that will be more money pouring out of the club.

9.) 16 Feb 2017 14:54:44
Surely if an agent represents you then that's what it means, don't hear any of them sacking there agent, i know if was me and he talked rubbish i'd be firing him

10.) 16 Feb 2017 17:25:43
So if a club contact an agent wanting there client to be a manager and he says yes does that mean the manager don't need to sign a contract because the agent said yes? Surely rangers board can't be that silly that nothing was signed.

11.) 16 Feb 2017 18:27:31
Agents negotiate a deal when you join a club, but until the player/ manager puts pen to paper its not deemed legal.

Same applies if manager/ player negotiate a deal to exit the club.

No signed resignations then no chance of King winning in any court.

12.) 16 Feb 2017 22:12:33
announcing your intent to leave or desire to leave at such a position could be considered as dereliction of duties and make the continuation of employment untenable.

i am fairly certain company lawyers would have decided if what the board were doing would be lawful and imagine that this is the reason the announcement took so long. ie the lawyers were taking it into consideration. even that said on occasions it would be a measured risk to potentially lose a court case than have a management team in place that doesn't really want to be there.

targets that were set would no longer be priority to them since they know they would be off in the summer anyway.

13.) 16 Feb 2017 21:51:42
Andy Murray is never in court more like on court

14.) 16 Feb 2017 23:42:54
Bennybhoy67

That's not true under Scottish law. Your representative/ agent can verbally resign for their client

15.) 17 Feb 2017 14:46:07
I suspect that it will not reach court. There will be a settlement based on the last six months of this season and Warburton and his cronies will vie appointed at Notts Forrest in the Summer.

12 Feb 2017 10:34:31
All the fans that are slating MW now we're singing his name at every game not 12 months ago, magic hat etc. other than his stubourness to change from plan A and stick with under performing players he has laid down a blueprint with our youth development and brought some structure to the club on the playing front. If anything he has done us good there if not with the first team. The big question I ask myself is if he had been given the money to buy who he wanted would we be in a better position. I think so. King and the board are to blame for as much as MW for different reasons. The American who wanted to buy rangers prior to king and co would have been a better option IMO.

Blue nose

1.) 12 Feb 2017 15:08:22
Nonsense!

Warburton has given Rangers nothing in the grand scheme of things. He got us out of the Championship, so could have McCall.

2.) 13 Feb 2017 12:16:46
According to DK Statement he was not only given budget but more over and above.
All the players he suggested were brought in, the fault does not lie with the broad It lies with Head of Recruitment and the Manager that chose the players.
As an aside Joey Barton now playing every week at a higher level and acquitting himself well. So was it Dave King or MW that couldn't manage and get best out of JB?

07 Feb 2017 06:41:31
Mark lawrenson has written that we need to play garner and miller up front together rather than waste one of them wider. He says garner previously played with beckford who bears similar characteristics to miller and goals came thick and fast. Surely against Morton it wouldn't hurt to try 4-4-2, after all we played sat without a DM so we could fit BM in midfield.

Blue nose

1.) 07 Feb 2017 07:58:14
Bluenose your stash are so wrong Garners goals never came thick and fast he got 6 last season How is that thick and fast Get a drip!

2.) 07 Feb 2017 08:04:52
Stungun, is this Garners 2nd season as a pro footballer? Beckford was injured all last season, the season before Garner couldn't stop scoring.

3.) 07 Feb 2017 10:10:34
Yes beckford was injured most of last season. see the best of garner and miller if they weren't out wide all the time .

4.) 07 Feb 2017 11:56:56
You have already saw the best of him has the penny not dropped yet

5.) 07 Feb 2017 12:47:04
The frightening thing is MW will likely stick to 4-3-3, we'll scrape past into the next round, it'll give him the belief that 4-3-3 is the only way forward, well keep dropping points in the league, end up finishing as fourth, get knocked out the cup when we come up against any SPL team and MW will say judge my work at the end of next season.

But more worrying is that fans like myself and a minority of others will still argue for him to stay, because he's a nice guy.

Then club need to act sooner rather than later regardless of the result at the weekend.

6.) 07 Feb 2017 13:32:15
If we play 4-4-2 why don't we try Dodoo and Miller

7.) 07 Feb 2017 17:31:36
Sorry stungun I stay in Preston watched them in my opinion we've not seen best of him he's better with a partner . it won't happen because warburton will just play 5-3-3 all the time win or lose

8.) 08 Feb 2017 15:21:03
Stewartyg65, I thought it was all Celtic supporters that lived in Preston! All the Rangers men were in Burscough and Southport!

9.) 08 Feb 2017 09:13:07
I think a 352 would suit the players we have with wallace and tav as wide midfielders/ wingbacks or even play wallace as 1 of the 3 centrebacks.

10.) 08 Feb 2017 20:35:27
How can we never win playing with an extra player stewarty lol

21 Jan 2017 20:33:47
All that possession and no shots on target until 80 mins is shocking and worthless. We are playing too many attack minded players out of position. Halliday not DM, McKay cuts inside too much, Waghorn needs to play through middle as does MOH and dodoo. Hodson much better than tav who is never a midfielder and today kiernan was missing at the goal. Lucky for us miller and hill along with keeper are performing.

Blue nose

1.) 21 Jan 2017 23:06:52
Blue Nose I agree to an extent but when you have a team sitting with 11 behind the ball and smothering the game even the best teams out there struggle to break it down . On the Hodson issue I've spoke many times on here of how much better than Tav he is as I believe ( even though he scored many a goal in the championship for us ) another badge kisser like Halliday ( not to that extreme though I may add ) and survives on past glories . We have a nucleus of a decent team here if the manager chooses to drop his favs and give other/ better players a chance .

2.) 22 Jan 2017 09:43:02
I agree Blackwood, we do have the nucleus of a good team and if Hyndman is given a first team slot instead of Holt since he looks far more industrious and a significantly better player then I believe that we will see more goals.

I also believe that Windass is a young player that can develop into a top class player as of course in McKay and with the right coaching MOH can equally blossom.

Halliday is not a Holding midfield player and playing him out of position is not doing either him or the team any favours. Perhaps when, as we hope, Rossiter is fully match fit we will solve both these issues.

I believe that we need to find a replacement for Miller and whether that is Waghorn or Dodoo I just don't know and while I would agree that Hodson is a better defender than Tavernier neither is of the quality we need to be the starting right back. We need a central defence and perhaps the young lad from Raith Rovers can be part of that but neither Wilson or Kiernan is the answer and while Wallace is a good left back he is not captain material. In essence, he is too nice a guy! We need a Souness, Butcher, Gough type, (it pains me to say it, but someone like Brown with a bit of dig and that will drive the team forward) .

But on the very positive note I am seeing some green shoots of recovery.

3.) 22 Jan 2017 16:41:10
Blackwood we've got to learn how to counter it tho other teams manage it every week

Considering the cash MW has had available I think he has bought quite well - few bad eggs aside which could not be foreseen. However where I feel MW goes wrong is his blinkered approach to certain players that are either clearly not up to standard, playing poorly or being played out of position.

His methodology about playing the game is fine if he only had a plan b and c in the bag when required.

Unfortunately unless an oil tycoon or some very wealthy backer with money to burn comes in we are stuck with this penny pinching approach until Ashley is out of our club for good.

Watching kiernan today he could be a good defender if he cut out errors. Wilson is unfit. Lazy and lacks interest. If half our player showed the fight and spirit of Dundee players we would do ok. Entire midfield waste of time.

Kiernan and Halliday are a mistake and goal waiting to happen. Neither has a clue and Halliday couldn't pass water.
