Read in a couple of rags we are after Nathan Dyer. My cousin just finished an 18 month contract in Swansea (he told me Swansea fans were up in arms when we looked like getting Mcburnie) and I know he watched them quite a lot last season. He could not remember anything good or bad about Dyer still was playing at EPL level at 30 may be worth a punt.

1.) 26 Aug 2018 09:50:12
Could only see it if we need cover in the meantime for Jamie Murphy.

2.) 26 Aug 2018 10:00:29
I think he would be good option. Someone of that ilk who has pace to threaten but experience that he can bring to a relatively young team and offer support whilst Murphy returns from injury. We could do worse than Dyer in my opinion.

3.) 26 Aug 2018 20:34:54
we should've got mcburnie.

4.) 26 Aug 2018 22:10:59
We need a player that can play left wing and centre mid.

5.) 26 Aug 2018 23:10:55
Need a real big strong controller of the box. A player who other teams hate playing against who do you think. I think McCauley would be good cover for Murphy v.

06 Jun 2018 14:43:34
With my one and only bit of Info, Goldson, now looking likely. Some other rumour/ news/ gossip my dad and a couple of his friends just back from London. They were talking about Terry maybe coming to us and a guy from Elite something overheard and told them he was from Terry's agents and they had so far had no contact.
On a more important note with so many of you disagreeing I am crap at football I spoke to my old Sunday team coach. He went white twitched a little and said"You have more chance of playing for Rangers". So I'm sending my C. V. to S. G. and I'm younger than McAuley.

23 May 2018 12:55:35
Connor Goldson you heard it here first or maybe not and its been in the papers we offered £1.5m and was rejected. Friend on the phone saying we are back in with £2.5m offer he won't give his source but swears its not the media. We are meeting up on Saturday so I'll get him drunk and find out more.

1.) 23 May 2018 13:08:32
Connor goldson looks a good player if we could partner him with bartley or burke then that would be good business terrific business would be getting skrtel to partner him

2.) 23 May 2018 13:47:45
I really don't think we should be taking a risk on Connor Goldson, barely played in 2 season and had heart problems. if on a free then maybe but i wouldn't like to see us wasting millions on someone unproven in recent years and major injury concerns

3.) 23 May 2018 13:54:50
Played Two games for an average Brighton team last year and has a heart problem. Could be a huge risk and he is not even first pick CH at Brighton

4.) 23 May 2018 15:31:25
Can't get a game a Brighton then Burke can't get a game at West Ham and is allowed to just leave yet these are meant to be great signings?

5.) 23 May 2018 16:28:05
No one said great signings. Reece has good potential we need to sign four CH so to experienced two prospects
Iron my opinion Skrtel goldstone Reece Isherwood
All better that what we have

6.) 23 May 2018 16:42:25
Never seen Goldson play did not say he'd be a good signing I had no clue he had a heart problem. Its a rumour page and I passed on a rumour lol think I'l stick to the banter page you lot are mean :)

7.) 23 May 2018 18:05:02
All names mentioned above are better then cardroso

8.) 23 May 2018 18:06:56
Bluepete, heart problem not an issue or he would not be playing in premier ship

9.) 24 May 2018 07:33:04
i think the fact he had a heart problem is a big issue. and he hasn't played enough to be considered IMO.

17 May 2018 14:08:20
Turkish paper earlier said Rangers had been in contact about the availability of Skrtel. Same rag is now saying an offer has been made but no decision can be made till their new president starts on June 3rd. I have no idea how reliable this paper is but Skrtel imo would be a great signing for us.

1.) 17 May 2018 20:00:21
Their papers are the same as ours - guesswork, rubbish, a bit of luck and a lot of lies.

15 May 2018 12:45:11
Turkish paper saying we have bid £4m for Skrtel, really hope this is true, just what we need. I have also read in 4 rags now that we bid the same for Oli from Swansea. Now I know the so called NEWS papers are mostly guessing but 4 different sounds hopeful.
Really looking forward to next season and while I'm not expecting great things in Europe, hope I'm wrong, it gives our new players competitive games to gel.

1.) 15 May 2018 14:56:08
£4m for a 33 year old centre half? I hope not.

2.) 15 May 2018 15:20:22
£4 Million for a REAl quality centre back who’s played and proven at the very top, can actually defend and could be part off a rebuild that see us win trophies again and could have 2-3 great seasons maybe 4. yes please

3.) 15 May 2018 15:45:09
Bruno Alvez was a real quality centre half. 4m? Behave!

4.) 15 May 2018 16:07:47
4 Million for a 33yr old defender PMSL

5.) 15 May 2018 16:13:00
Alves is a quality Center half one bad season doesn’t make a bad player and remember goian an Bocanegra

6.) 15 May 2018 16:26:17
He's only got a year left on his contract 4m seems a bit steep

7.) 15 May 2018 16:45:00
I'm sure skirtel has only one yr left on his contract.

8.) 15 May 2018 17:30:14
McGinn has 1 year left and he'll cost about the same

9.) 15 May 2018 17:59:02
But McGinn has resale value as he's only 23.

10.) 15 May 2018 18:34:07
Did Alves and Skrtel play together a fenerbahce?
If they did might be a shout for our two cb’s for next season

11.) 15 May 2018 18:59:57
Govan front don't think so. I have hi kitty skirtle replaced Alves.
4 million ok for skirtle, though I think we could get him for less

Shawcross would be a great signing, these guys are the standard we require

12.) 15 May 2018 22:41:45
Goian and bocanegra, now that was some pairing

13.) 15 May 2018 23:24:19
I still stand by my comment that Skrtel is worth every penny we pay for him, we’re in 2018 and today’s market every price is inflated, Yes I didn't know earlier he’s only got a year on his contract so maybe put a bid in for half off the £4 million, BUT remember he’s a critical player to fenabache so if we need to pay The £4 Million to land him then so be it. He’s a quality centre back who’s always been a regular for club and country and most importantly he’s proved he can do it at the highest level! .

14.) 16 May 2018 15:12:38
Can’t see us bidding a total of £8 million for 2 players personally. $8 million Dembele Dollars ( £18 .72 at current exchange rates ) maybe?

15.) 16 May 2018 15:16:13
Surely that isn't good business sense to be signing a 33 year old for £4 million? I would take him, but I wouldn't pay that for him.

Should also look at Kyle Bartley seen as Swansea have been relegated from the EPL

16.) 16 May 2018 15:21:20
I’d have to agree that £4m for a player of his age is a bit risky. If he stays fit he could easily play 3 seasons at a high standard here.
We desperately need a top quality centre half though so although the figures a bit high it could be best signing of the season.
Personal note I don’t see our board sanctioning £4m for a single player at that age but I might be wrong

Great to have internet back after losing it for over a week. By the way my last post, on the Motherwell game was supposed to read "Gutted we lost 2 points* I was there did know it was a draw. Grats to Scottish ladies qualifying had to laugh as they celebrated shows how much playing for your country should mean.

26 Aug 2018 18:34:07
Really gutted we lost, in the second half Motherwell wanted it more and deserved the draw. A corner less than 2 meters from the line should only be 1 persons ball, and as much as I rate Mcgregor, and that's the goalie.

1.) 26 Aug 2018 20:15:12
We drew.

2.) 26 Aug 2018 21:05:37
There was only 1 man to blame, that's the guy who never goes with his man, we all know who he is. McGregor never been good with crosses and it is difficult to manoeuvre in the packed area so the outfielders must defend the area.

3.) 26 Aug 2018 22:33:39
We lost? Must of been a different game I watched.

4.) 26 Aug 2018 23:04:57
We lost? Must be 3-3 defeat then.

5.) 26 Aug 2018 23:19:08
Mixed emotions today it was great we came back twice but
to change the formation against a team who play like a cup final team was maybe a bit naive but at the same time the manager wanted to play laferty and morelos who both played well but having played 11 games unbeaten still got be pleased with the progress Stevie g knows he will make mistakes but he's wisr enough to realise them and make us a better team.

6.) 26 Aug 2018 23:23:30
We drew.

7.) 26 Aug 2018 23:34:47
The tactics from Gerrard in the second half were all wrong. He made some odd decision and putting Wallace on in the last few seconds made no sense. If I was a player I would want that ball player in straight away while you are still in the euphoria of the moment concentrating on defending the goal.

I hate to say it but I knew watching against Aberdeen we would concede with the last kick and I think everyone knew it was going to happen against Motherwell. Gerrard will have to regroup the troops and figure out how to beat guard against last minute complacency.

8.) 26 Aug 2018 23:47:11
You can't blame one person for their goal. It was a team thing. That goal was coming for the whole of the 2nd half we lost the midfield battle and then they threw on some big boys up front and went very direct. IMO we had wallace waiting to come on the ball went out for a throw the game should have been stopped to allow wallace on at that point but motherwell took a quick throw the ref let the game run then the corner came and the manager had to make a decision.

If wallace clears the ball to safety or we clear the danger everyone applauds a tactical masterstroke - "he brought on another defender and we saw out the game he's the next mourinho" ball goes in the net he should never have subbed a player on for that corner bad management. Remember the amount of games the team have played already this year. Players with minor knocks and cramp.

It catches up with them. We didn't lose and played a tough physical side. No more injuries, no red cards, lafferty scored 2. Loads of positives to take from the game. Think about that motherwell team playing the tic with their defence lol.

9.) 27 Aug 2018 07:33:46
It felt like a defeat is what he meant I think.

10.) 27 Aug 2018 09:40:46
Chris surely if Ejaria had a ‘minor knock or cramp’ he could have carried on for another 20 seconds? I don’t mind Wallace coming on but should have happended at least 5 mins earlier in my opinion.

22 Aug 2018 18:27:38
I want a full and sincere apology for all those who said "JUST PAY THE MONEY" for Lafferty when we got him for less than £500k. After your grovelling apology you are not allowed to comment on Financial matters on here ever again. I'm going to cry if I don't get more than 13 disagrees now . My record is 13 and I post some s**te some guy got 14 for just asking a question last week.

1.) 22 Aug 2018 19:21:45
Think u will find that I hold the record for the most disagrees on here, or so it was said. Thing is if I had revealed where I heard it then it would be understood why I posted it but never again! 🤣🤣🤪.

2.) 22 Aug 2018 20:26:28
Yea bluepet the boards a joke caused they sav d 350 k. Ha I think what you have to remember is that the knockers and neighsayers are very small minded men but by slagging everything that moves it makes them feel big for a moment.

3.) 22 Aug 2018 20:34:59
Board should all be sacked - I’m with FB, Billyb and IOM. ridiculous that they only saved £350k!

4.) 22 Aug 2018 22:38:55
Yes and they are not letting us buy strips even although we are promised 7p profit from every £1 . do they think that just because they work for nothing that they can keep making these crazy decisions even though it’s pulling us out the quagmire? Ridiculous. I think we should demonstrate
“ Nine games without a hint of defeat . king and co should be out on the street”🤪😜🤪.

5.) 23 Aug 2018 00:19:51
Uz 2 do some amount of slavering! we cany buy the strips at all mols so currently we are making no profit because it seems no one on our board know how to write up a contract. Many times has Ashley took us to court n won now? We might just get the strips from santa (if Ashley let's us)

6.) 23 Aug 2018 08:09:09
how many times has ashley taken us to court and won? erm i can't think of any actually even the last one an agreement was made out of court and the judge stated that rangers should pay costs but we don't know what the agreement was? so please list all the court cases ashley has won against us?

7.) 23 Aug 2018 08:32:25
I gave you your 14th disagree bluepete just to break your record. 👍🤣.

8.) 23 Aug 2018 08:53:04
I’ve just gave you number 14, your welcome 🤪.

9.) 23 Aug 2018 13:42:57
Brian, tend to disagree just a tad. Ashley and his lawyears have had us tied in knots every court case. if u call 1/ 2 mill in lawyers fees on top of 3m to get rid of them from strip scene where they still hold all the cards a win then I'd be worried about your brain power. Ashley is toying with us and it's all personal now.

10.) 23 Aug 2018 15:46:49
Anyway onwards and upwards let's concentrate on the football. Can't make it tonight aso the Mrs is so unthoughtful she has to work lol. Be having a few beers n watching it with my 2 boys GET IN TO THEM LADS.

21 Aug 2018 17:17:03
Anyone else here want to see Middleton left wing and Kent in his best position right wing. Dunno why bur it excites me.

1.) 21 Aug 2018 17:48:42
Are you sitting on a lumpy object bluepete.

2.) 21 Aug 2018 17:53:36
I would like to see that too, only thing is that Candeias links up well with tav and covers him when he gets forward really well.

3.) 21 Aug 2018 18:34:00
I'd drop Kent for Candeias. His work rate, direct play and effort is admiral but he's not contributed to one single goal in all the minutes he's played. Candeias gives just as much with his industrious play but he also has an excellent final delivery at times something that Kent doesn't.

4.) 21 Aug 2018 19:27:48
and to add to JM comments, his recovery in defense is pretty impressive too.

5.) 21 Aug 2018 19:29:11
Gotta agree with JM candias is one of our best forward players especially his crossing ability.

6.) 21 Aug 2018 22:52:48
Id like to see candias on the left and tavernier on the right of a front 3. With barasic left back and flanighan right back. Just to see if tav does well further up. Happy for the younger boys to get a game but the 1st eleven has to be the best eleven regardless of age.

15 Aug 2018 15:44:00
Has anyone else noticed the one thing all our signings since S. G. took over, have in common is speed. I'm counting Mcgregor, Arfield and Murphy as pre S. G. Goldson fast, Katic very fast and Barasic fast. Even the 4 loanees are quick as well. add that to the work-ethic S. G. demands and their quality other teams are going to have to work hard to match us.

1.) 15 Aug 2018 18:55:40
It's vital they have a wee burst, SG has us playing a press so we need to cover the ground quickly.

2.) 15 Aug 2018 19:29:46
Bluepete, Gerrard and Mark Allen have basically bought in modern day athletes. Strong, powerful and explosive.

I believe that Gerrard’s philosophy is similar to that of Walters. = you might beat us with skill, but you won’t beat us physically or mentally. Both latter are so important in sport and have been forgotten about with our last couple of managers.

Perfect example is why Declan John was sold. He’s a great wee player, skilful and quick etc, but he’s too lightweight and cannot defend. Would you rather Flanagan or John starting at the piggery?

3.) 15 Aug 2018 20:20:46
Flanagan all day. But it’s barasic now. He is a beast.

I said on here, before our first match, SG prefers a 352 system. I don't think we will play that tonight but perhaps Sunday.

1 week to go in the transfer window, how would we replace him? and IF there were indeed a replacement, of the same quality, how much would that player cost? I know everything is for sale but right now we would require stupid money no way I'd take the January rumoured £11m. NOT FOR SALE.

I hope we offer 5p but you have to have green and gold coloured specs to think the board ain't backed S. G. I thought our manager would have our transfer business done early except for a striker and posted that on here. S. G. obviously does not rate Lafferty to highly or he'd be here. We can only be buying him for cover anyway.

I definitely do not want Lafferty could not get a game for Birmingham in the championship was such a great striker Norwich let him go on a free. £750,000 for a player to sit on the bench no thanks.

I, yesterday, ordered 4 tops for me daughter, ans 2 sons and I know they all prefer the knock off orange tops I bought them in Turkey. I truly hope this is an end to the Ashley tie in. I a, m not a lawyer but I work with a lot of the bas"! *%^ and they find it hard to believe that we were stuck with a deal, as obviously fraudulent signed for by directors, who are compelled to make the best deal for the club.

I for one am amazed in the difference in Halliday's play. He has always given his all but seemed not good enough, now under Gerrard he seems completely rejuvinated, played some lovely football today. Just shows how much confidence can change a player.

Great post Coop.
