First time I've posted a rumour, usually here for the banter. I have a "cousin" from the dark side of the family, Leeds supporter lives in Huddersfield, asking me about Windass, seems pretty sure Leeds want him. Just passing on what he said.

1.) 17 Jan 2018 09:35:46
Has your cousin been reading today’s daily record by any chance👍

2.) 17 Jan 2018 16:40:12
This is true, Leeds are looking at him. 10 people think its unbelievable though! Maybe they all saw Leeds not watching him?

Two questions for the ed's or anyone in the know please. Firstly I heard Waghorn wants away? Any truth we are looking at a midfielder called Lansbury. Just 2 things I overheard at a sportsmans dinner at the weekend.

Bluepete

{Ed039's Note - Bristol City are interested in Waghorn and I don't think we could afford the fee for Henri Lansbury)

1.) 09 Nov 2016 12:55:08
Is Lansbury not a free next summer?

{Ed039's Note - He is, I assumed we were talking about the coming transfer window and not the one after)

2.) 09 Nov 2016 14:07:02
I would look at stevie Mallan and Jason cummings in January both goal threats wouldn't break the bank. henri lansbury would be a great signing surprised he still at forest and not the premier league though.

3.) 09 Nov 2016 14:10:53
heard waggy has fell out with warburton.

4.) 09 Nov 2016 15:07:29
Henri Lansbury would be a cracking signing, would also like to see Ali Crawford at Rangers think he will be superb in the future.

5.) 09 Nov 2016 16:35:55
don't know Lansbury but not Cummings I don't think he is what we need.
I can't see us signing anyone that isn't on a free this transfer window due to running at a loss this season.
but if we are to get people in I mean I know I've not seen him in a while but bougy can't be worse than what we have I said it in the summer we get him for free and won't cost a lot on wages he wants to be here and is much better that Kiernan and not as old as clint hill so I think he is worth a shot.
would also like kyle bartley back at rangers he was a good solid no nonsense defender. (plus he went right through scott brown) I don't think he would cost a lot the last I heard he was at leeds I think!

6.) 09 Nov 2016 17:47:18
I think kiernan get a hard ride tbh, if we are signing anyone that plays with Leeds it's got to pontius jansson (sp)! also the young boy souttar from hearts and James Jones from Kilmarnock are going to be stars imo.

7.) 09 Nov 2016 17:57:02
More in need of Angela Lansbury right now me thinks! Get to the bottom of this Ashley fiasco.

8.) 10 Nov 2016 03:25:48
the club is running low on cash and your solution is someone who made a tackle ona rival player, lol great idea for progression, and lovely mindset you have in life.

anyway when we get second, how many rounds do we we have to qualify for euro? i have heard 3? thts 6 games think of the fatigue that might set in, hopefully its just the two rounds.

18 Dec 2015 18:48:49
Probably just pub talk, that's where I heard it, but was told we were interested in Sam Byram. Guy who told me said Leeds had turned down a 4m offer 18 months ago but apparently the lad is free in the summer having refused a new contract.

Bluepete

1.) 18 Dec 2015 19:55:59
Seems like pub talk and that's it to be honest. The kid is worth 3-4mil, leeds thought they could get more I guess or secure him on another contract. Byram has other ideas though by rejecting a contract and most likely leaving for a better side in the summer.

2.) 20 Dec 2015 09:09:02
Sam Byram is a fantastic talent, I think he will more likely be moving to the EPL not up here, as much as I would love it to be true.

Perhaps we do not have the money, most of us have been used to, and are low on funds. I would like you all to think on the absurd money we paid for Pena at al. If they had all been loans most would be gone.
I really love the business we are now conducting, and I'd say that if we had millions in the bank, we have time to look at and gauge each signing and for a January window superb.

Well, well not expecting Murty till the end of the season but it makes sense in some ways. Maybe the manager we want isn't available till then. Still we have the same clowns on here we have no money oops we spend 5mil on players, a year on we have no money oops we find 10 mil for players and 3 mill to get rid of Ashley. I don't see any of you apologising when you are REPEATEDLY proved wrong.

I'm not suggesting we have the Kuwait royal family or similar but they are spending and will again this year. We are so far in advance of where we were when this board took over.

Yes granted Cax was a big mistake but just look of the at the number of managers sacked by other so called top clubs. As long as we keep improving I for one am happy.

Bluepete

1.) 22 Dec 2017 18:33:40
i love your optimism if you think this board are thinking ahead to the summer. lucky if they know what is happening next week! what happened to this 'list' we had compiled when chasing DMc? never bloody existed and they are taking the piss

2.) 22 Dec 2017 18:42:15
So you're happy it's took 2 months to appoint murty and are happy with the boards statement after the mcInnes debacle and you think we haven't appointed a manager because he's not available it's more like we are skint and are a complete shambles at boardroom level, yes we have invested money in players in the summer which again has went pear shaped because we gave it to another untried manager in Pedro, its looking like we have put all our eggs in 1 basket and it's went t*ts up again, we are a joke of a club again, you'd be struggling to find a club on the planet that's fans have been put through what we have in the past 6 years

3.) 22 Dec 2017 20:58:47
Shambles of a board, that's the bottom line. they don't know what there doing from 1 week to the next

08 Dec 2017 11:42:36
Why the continued, unfair, unsubstantiated and blinkered sniping at our board? I made it clear when they took over I was no King advocate, but I am now. Last year, after Warburton, constant the board are rubbish we are skint ad infinitum. The board made a mistake with Cax agreed. They got rid of Ashley, they found 10m for players.

They have already stated money will be provided for the new manager WTF else do you want? Mcinnes in my humble opinion saw the media frenzy and decided he did not want that permanently, so for him did the right thing and said no to our offer. How can that possibly be the boards fault?

I hope Murty gets a few quid for 2 or 3 players in the January window and believe he will.

Bluepete

1.) 08 Dec 2017 12:05:17
Two managerial disasters, one month long failed attempt to tap one they could have had two years ago, £10m spent on £2m worth of players and more cash loans than Wonga. Aye, 10 oot o' 10 right enough

2.) 08 Dec 2017 12:35:30
bimnotablue, the very fact that we were able to spend 10mil on players was down to this board, pedro was a mistake ( not Kings ) but he was backed by the board financially as I like to think any manager would. Your valuation of our players is way off by the way.

3.) 08 Dec 2017 13:33:27
It's our boards fault as it took them 6 weeks to approach a manager who everyone and their dog knew was their first choice. They put all their eggs in one basket, waited 6 weeks for some unbeknown reason and then get rejected by a second rate manager and result in sticking with Murty till at least January. Which by the way i'm partially happy with.

4.) 08 Dec 2017 14:20:17
If Pedro was not Kings fault, who's to blame? Are you saying Kings not the man in charge? Who is then?
Not blaming King is like not blaming Pedro for Dalcio. Based on that premis perhaps you'd like Pedro back for another wee shottie. While we're at it give another roll of the £10m dice? No? Didn't think so
How much do you think we would get for Pedro players in January?

5.) 08 Dec 2017 14:44:06
Well said bluepete.

6.) 08 Dec 2017 19:15:38
I'll say it again bimnotablue, King did not appoint pedro, he left the footballing appointments to others while he took care of the financial side, the fact that we had so much to spend in the summer was a big part down to him. I take it you are no fan of our board, what would your answer be?

Yes we probably do need another role of the dice next summer ( unfortunately ) and could get 2 million for Morrelos alone, Dorrans, Jack etc all have value and are assets of the club. We appointed a director of football so why is he getting off scot free here, he is not doing his job, who talked to mcinnes? King? Allen? Who? Do you know. There are loads of questions to be asked but just slating the board helps noone.

27 Oct 2017 12:20:03
I'd really love Big Sam till the end of the season, proven at the highest level, definitely he would not allow any non-triers anywhere near the team. This would give the board plenty of time to evaluate the best long term candidates, including Sam if he wants it, for the permanent position.

Bluepete

1.) 27 Oct 2017 12:52:10
I would ask Walter Smith to help Murty to steady the ship and get some real confidence back into the squad. Walter has a proven record and will not stand for any nonsence. This will give the board time to ensure they get the right person in.

2.) 28 Oct 2017 07:44:32
Proven at what exactly? Has he actually won anything in his career? Big eck for the job.

21 Jun 2017 07:45:52
My source, (sauce), is telling me I can go to only 1 of our early European ties so Limasol here i come. OK I'll come clean no source its the wife.

Bluepete

1.) 21 Jun 2017 13:13:25
What date would the Limassol tie be?

Be ready for a lot of unbelievables, as I got when I posted Leeds were after him. By the way I don't remember the last time I read a newspaper, cept the racing pages on a Saturday. On Windass I'd sell him for a decent offer 20 miniute player for me.

Rik I don't think I've ever read a more contradictory post ever. You start by saying we can't get a manager and we have wasted £10 million. End by saying we must get a top manager and invest. I would not mind betting if Morelos keeps playing as he has he alone may be worth the 10m.
I agree its a poisoned chalice atm but we have to keep believing or what's the alternative?

Of the 3 you mention I'd take Allerdyce all day, the players would be playing for the jersey with him in charge. Whoever takes over I wish them all the best and they must be given time. Yet to see a club who change managers a lot get success.

When I first read this I thought, as many of you, this was BS. Just heard from a well placed Chelsea Friend it may have some legs, though nothing is agreed.

Hard to give thoughts when, I for one and most I suspect, ain't seen the guy yet. I'd never heard of Declan but I rate him highly now its wait and see and hope we get Murphy, who won't be free for all those screaming we are skint. Same guys who scream, ed the same the last 2 years when we found £5 mil, £10 mil and best of all £3 mil to get rid of Ashley.
