Thinking about an assistant for the new manager, someone with a good history of the Scottish game and a well respected coach who is currently doing well.
Jim Duffy what do you think? Personally the idea of Ferguson, Rae and McCulloch doesn't feel right, McCann comes across well on the tele but can he coach?

Duffy would be an excellent appointment, he knows the Scottish game and has been involved in it for ages, he's also worked wonders at Morton. He won't be considered tho due to not being a "Rangers man".
I'm expecting him to bring in his own trusted no2 and give Kenny Miller a bigger part to play in first team coaching. He'd be the players choice.

2.) 16 Mar 2017 13:48:37
Why would neil mccann want to take the job? Sky pays good easy money.

3.) 16 Mar 2017 14:46:58
As a Morton fan I would be devastated if Duffy went to Rangers. But he would be an unbelievably good appointment.

4.) 16 Mar 2017 22:48:50
Brummie bear, according to the sun newspaper this morning, kenny miller is the clear favourite to become caixinha's no.3!Very good choice IMHO! When you think about it, a no brainer really! Kenny ticks EVERY box for me! As i've said on here many times, kenny miller IS a future glasgow rangers manager, in my eyes! Thoughts fellow bears?

5.) 16 Mar 2017 23:28:37
yeah agreed brummie - big Duffs a good call for assistant. I suggested Peter Houston but in terms of experience and 'local knowledge' he'd be a great shout regardless of his sellic connections

6.) 16 Mar 2017 23:30:01
duffy would have made a good manager but doubt he would want a little role like that

Absolute embarrassment why is Keirnan and the usual rubbish playing, has Murty not learnt anything from the last few weeks, months and year. I don't have any coaching badges but even I know who should and should not be playing. We are in trouble for the next 2 years.

Brummie bear I do have coaching badges and it's the same for me. I can't see any quality at all in Kiernan, Halliday, Tavernier, Holt, O'Halloran, Waghorn and others. I see a goalkeeper in his second season working with Jim Stewart and has made no improvement at all and I see no discernible, recognisable pattern of play. It will take more than two years to sort, even with money available, I'm afraid.

You cannot deny that Warburtons jacket is on a shaky peg, results and performances have been poor we all know that. What I don't get is his substitutions, Waghorn and Hyndman were our two most effective players on the night, it wasn't working out for Toral and Miller could have played for 180 minutes and still touched the ball less than 10 times. Keirnan and Halliday ........well we all know about these two.
My question is why can't Warburton see this? It's been going on for months, week in week out. Wee Hodson must be fed up waiting on a game at right back.

Why can't warburton see it? Probably because he's to proud to admit he's wrong. that's the worst sort of manager.

I disagree with the the guys on Sky, I don't see either tackle as a straight red. O'halloran tried to play the ball more clumsy than anything else so definite yellow. MacDonalds was even softer but still a yellow.

Both rightly straight red cards. dangerous play leading with the studs

2.) 28 Jan 2017 14:06:25
Cannot believe anyone can say either weren't straight red cards. Stupid and dangerous challenges. Kiernan should also have seen red

3.) 28 Jan 2017 14:11:14
Are you joking, both reds in today's game, plus miller could have got his leg broke, or a bad injury, so glad he never, i don't think we can afford to lose kenny

4.) 28 Jan 2017 14:26:19
Neither was intentional but both were reckless. definitely reds the both of them.

5.) 28 Jan 2017 15:07:25
McDonald definitely went in to do Miller. Watch it again, if you've played you'll know what I mean, Parky7720.

6.) 28 Jan 2017 16:05:57
What about Keirnens just before McDonald's, same sort of challenge

7.) 28 Jan 2017 19:06:58
Im on the both could have been yellows side, todays game is turning into a big jessies game non contact,

8.) 28 Jan 2017 18:47:34
Both sendings off were typical 'forward's challenges' but McDonald is evil so I wouldn't give him the benefit of any doubt. There were a couple of other tackles that merited yellow and one in particular would have reduced Motherwell down to nine players!

9.) 28 Jan 2017 20:43:04
2 definite reds ohsllorans was awful so high n reckless. McDonald actually wins ball first but he 100% tried to do miller with the follow through could have easily been a leg breaker

10.) 29 Jan 2017 14:23:12
Didn't think Kiernan's was anything more than a yellow. 2 red cards every day of the week

11.) 29 Jan 2017 14:24:10
Absolutely both red cards. If that's the type of contribution from MOH then hope he's not involved next week.

12.) 29 Jan 2017 16:03:29
I think Mcdonalds was a tad softer but Moh was a defo. got to say Collum got both correct

Let's face it Waghorn scored most of his goals via penalties, was injured for a long spell and Tav got found out big time defensively in the last 1/ 4 of the season. These guys have got a lot to prove next season and maybe then they will be in a stronger position to merit an extension at the might Gers.

It's so boring and predictable I could greet. This is the worst Rangers team that has played at the top level in Scotland. Think we will be stuck with these players for a couple of seasons as no one will put in any offers with what we have and these sub standard performances having been going on far too long.

Been a loyal servant to us for years but his 1st, 2nd and 3rd touch are a bit suspect at times. Needs 5 100% chances before he scores one. I've always seen him as a super sub and certainly not a lone striker.

That's the point I was making Blueshaun, I understand the basics of ball retention. If we have it use canny score!
However to sit and watch this week after week without a plan b or goal scoring chances being created is boring.
I fully trust the magic hat and the team to get it right eventually but I fear we may draw too many games up to Christmas therefore handing the title to the great unwashed.
Europe will do me this year and look to a serious push for the title next season.
