MW bringing Mols back to the club as a strikers coach, apparently they met at some coaching course a while back and have kept in touch! If he's as talented a coach as he was a player then this is really exciting news!

CastleBear

1.) 26 Jun 2015 17:31:49
Not a chance. Wish people would move away from this 'Gers Old Boy' mentality.

2.) 26 Jun 2015 18:05:01
A write so is that how mols was in the paper saying he didn't know who mark warburton was and never even mentioned him to be the new manager. Bull!!

3.) 26 Jun 2015 18:36:50
Sorry guys this was meant to go on the banter page as a bit of a laugh for the exact reason of its something you woulda heard when Ally was in charge. Mark is definitely taking us in a completely new direction, my bad.

4.) 26 Jun 2015 20:13:35
as far as I know mols has been helping idtenifying players around holland for us. but for him being 1 of out coaches is a bit far fetched

5.) 26 Jun 2015 21:21:10
Did you not ready last post AllanRFC?

6.) 27 Jun 2015 00:26:39
sorry castlebear I didn't read your last post. my apologies.

7.) 27 Jun 2015 07:51:45
No probs.
It would be nice if he found us a couple of you Dutch players we could develop and sell on though. Although I'm not sure if MW likes to stick to players he knows, seems that way from his interviews.

8.) 27 Jun 2015 08:35:50
i agree totally with you castlebear. look at celtics van djik. I won't lie but he is quality all round cb. hopefully in future we can find these gems celtic always seem to pick up

25 Jun 2015 09:21:10
MW came back from the European U21Championships largely unimpressed stating to a rangers source he has seen more talented footballers at the woman world cup. There was one player that stood out for him that he believes would fit perfectly into his style of football who is now his number one priority. Don't know who he is or what country he plays for but we will k now sometime next week if MW is able to make the deal happen.

CastleBear

1.) 25 Jun 2015 10:51:38
Fingers crossed it's a playmaker! Positive start to the summer so far however pre-season is very close and I know a creative & technical football player is what every fan is now waiting for!

2.) 25 Jun 2015 21:39:52
this says nothing.

3.) 25 Jun 2015 22:06:55
It says that next week we could be signing a player that played in this years U 21 European championships, pretty much a rumour like all the rest gussyboy. Just because I haven't got a name doesn't mean it's not worth mentioning. Most of the rumours with names and more details are usually just made up out of nothing, at least there is truth to this one.

Warbs to make Weiss a Rangers player again after his agent got in contact stating his desire to be a part of the Rangers revolution. Weiss would have came earlier if it was not for the fact him and Ally did not get on.

CastleBear

{Ed039's Note - What a load of bull .......... he is on a fortune in Qatar)

1.) 24 Jun 2015 19:44:47
Apparently some fan tweeted Weiss and managed to get a reply saying he would love to come back to Ibrox, but not yet! As Ed says he is on a fortune where he is. You might see his agent touting him for a return when he's old and knackered and looking for a boost to his pension fund. To be honest I didn't think he was that good a player anyway

2.) 24 Jun 2015 19:46:27
Come on Ed, we all know that he's a Rangers fan now, and I don't know if any players who are fans would put money above their beloved Ranges.

{Ed039's Note - I dont think he loves Rangers that much to drop £20-£30k per week in a country with great tax benefits to come sign for us)

3.) 24 Jun 2015 20:26:53
Absolute bollocks!! No need to make news up because its a quiet day!

4.) 24 Jun 2015 20:28:15
CastleBear

Ahem does one Ally McCoist not spring to mind, and there is loads of Rangers fan players who joined and left for the money and the money only!

5.) 24 Jun 2015 21:57:48
Let's be realistic, vlad wiess has an affiliation with the club and keeps up to date with goings on at ibrox but he was only with us for a season. He would not take the drop in wages.

6.) 24 Jun 2015 21:13:12
That last coment of mine was meant as a dig to Ally and the rest, I did put four full stops after to make that a bit clearer but this was edited by ed before putting it up.

7.) 25 Jun 2015 07:32:32
According to wpedia he is on 300000 euros. I somehow don't think this is per annum which would equate to around £4000 per week tax free.

8.) 25 Jun 2015 08:13:00
jfr

Assuming a typo £ 30,000 is £ 20k+ even at low rate
£ 3000000 is £ 210k

so I reckon he is on £ 20k BUT probably tax free = £ 30k per week

sorry to sound like a school teacher.

9.) 25 Jun 2015 08:17:35
Weiss was asked in Twitterif he was coming back and his reply was "not yet"

I hope Boyd is going to thank us for paying for his hair transplant! I bet his Arse is baldy too, all he done was sit about and eat the whole season!

Who was a worse manager PLG or Ally?

CastleBear

1.) 07 Jul 2015 08:55:13
Who cares! Onwards and upwards.

2.) 07 Jul 2015 09:07:02
It's not something to get depressed about mate, I was just wondering what people thought. I reckon PLG would have do a lot for us had he been given more time. I also think W&W will need some time to get things going they way they want aswell, I just hope we give them the time they need.

3.) 07 Jul 2015 09:09:32
macoist by a country mile le guen was a gentleman he walked away and did not take the money due to him it was unfortunate he never got a chance with his ideas thanks to big headed players who did not want to move out of their comfort zone and adapt to new methods and ideas player power pushed him out the door

4.) 07 Jul 2015 09:25:53
A man after my own heart, Bigad.

5.) 07 Jul 2015 10:06:35
Alex McDonald mentions PLG in recent articles commenting he was not mentally prepared for managing Rangers.player power had him removed as we all know but W & W are a different breed altogether.the honeymoon could be brief but for the first time in many years we have optimism about the club moving in the right direction. it will not be easy, we will have our set backs but with Ceptic rapidly turning into Dundee Utd the difference between the two clubs is not insurmountable in the coming years

6.) 07 Jul 2015 10:33:52
TrueBlueDrew

I just heard a rumour that Celtic have put in bids for Dundee United mascot Terry the Terror and Lorraine Kelly.

As for PLG or Ally.

Well, after managing Rangers, one left not even demanding a payout and went on to manage PSG and two national squads.

The other became a gardener and insists on receiving every last penny due to him.

7.) 07 Jul 2015 10:42:09
Let's just hope W&W get the time Ally got as opposed to the time PLG got. I'm excited about the furure under the new management team but I'm also prepared for some hard times, if the players hit the ground tunning then great but I just hope we don't call for heads if things don't work out right away.

8.) 07 Jul 2015 20:11:21
PLG was really ill prepared and has admitted himself he didn't do his homework regarding Rangers. I also think it's unfair to blame Ferguson for his exit too. Got the feeling he was quite happy to walk and had already had PSG lined up. Ally was by far a worse manager than him and the only reason why he isn't the worst manager ever at the club is only because McDowall took over

9.) 08 Jul 2015 06:45:23
Let's just hope Warburton is not stupid enough to ban monster munch or there could be another revolt.

10.) 08 Jul 2015 09:17:07
PLG totally underestimated Scottish football and made some poor signings. Karl Svensson, a centre half who couldn't header a ball being one. However, he should have been given a lot more time than he was given. Player power won in the end, and look where that got us! McCoist on the other hand went the other way, signed old SPL players who he wouldn't need to coach, ignored the youth and paid the consequences.

30 Jun 2015 19:30:13
Just a thought about the new season, W&W are pretty much putting a brand new team together, how quick are we expecting them to gel and start getting results? I imagine Hibs will be off and running from the start so don't want to be playing catch up all season.

CastleBear

1.) 30 Jun 2015 19:54:35
I think our manager knows what he's doing so I can see him getting the team to jel without the need of a big pre season, I think we have a better squad/manager/fitness regime/mentality than least season so I can see us brushing them off.

2.) 30 Jun 2015 20:05:49
Oops gel*

3.) 30 Jun 2015 20:51:46
Myles, your deluded mate if you think a manager can completely change a team with minimal pre season, and come out all guns blazing.
I admire your optimism, but he is relatively unproven, I'm sure warburton is a decent man, but no one knows how good or bad a manager until he's had at least 1 season

4.) 30 Jun 2015 20:58:12
I'm sure it will take time look how hibs were at the start of last season but I do have a lot of faith in W&W who In my opinion will get it right like every new team there probably will be teething problems to start with but I'm hopeful it won't take long for the team to settle

5.) 30 Jun 2015 23:03:06
W+W are doing now what Ally McCoist should have done 3 years ago. This isn't going to be plain sailing but these guys have a plan and ethos that I'm fully buying into. It's going to take time but for the first time in years I feel good and confident about us. If ye want a team to make million £ plus signings then pick a team in the Premiership because that's not us anymore. Rangers then. Rangers now. Rangers forever.

6.) 01 Jul 2015 00:14:48
No what i'm saying is we will have a proper manager this year. Mccoist wasnt. The coaching sessions now will be a lot more heavy whereas last year weren't challlenging enough.

7.) 01 Jul 2015 04:47:05
We are in a mickey mouse league and actually worse in the 2nd tier of a mickey mouse league

Warburton formed a team at Brentford that were 2 games away from the richest league in World Football the EPL

I think if he puts together a team remotely similar to the Brentford one we will win the Championship by March it is that simple he is coming from a league where players are able to control the ball, pass, cross and do so in an exciting style. These things are all new to Scotland as outside of Celtic, Aberdeen and maybe Hearts our teams are a total joke football skills wise and would not survive in the top tier of any European League set up apart from maybe Iceland and the Faroes.

It isn't about what Warburton does in the joke leagues of Scotland what is much more exciting is what I hope he can make us do when we get back into Europe.

We will beat Aberdeen and Hearts relatively easily and I think unless Celtic improve under Delilah we will beat them also by 2017 season.

8.) 01 Jul 2015 10:24:43
I didn't mean for my post to sound so negative, I am very excited about the future under the management of W&W, I'm also very happy they don't seem to be spending much money on the players as long as they bring in quality. I was just wondering how long are other fans expecting it to take us to start playing good football?
As excited as I am about the future I am also aware that building a team from nothing is a massive job and will probably take a while for players to build an understanding of one another's game etc.

Rangers nearly signed Petr Chec yesterday, he was desperate so sign for the mighty Gers, that's what was holding up his move to Arsenal, however upon much reflection and video tape watching MW decided he did not like how Chec passed the ball out from the back and it was soon realised that he would not fit into the footballing philosophy that MW believes in. I feel sorry for the poor Petr but some players just have what it takes.

If a deal cannot be struck with Eustace W&W will turn their attention to Kimbo Slice to beef up the midfield.

CastleBear

1.) 26 Jun 2015 09:53:22
F Eustace,rather have a fruit slice!

2.) 26 Jun 2015 10:22:56
Haha, if he is able to stay clear of injuries he will be a great signing, he'll not be the most exciting player that we will sign but he does the simple things really well, can break up play brilliantly and very rarely gives the ball away. Every team needs a player like this, not the most exciting to watch but very effective and creates time and space for the more creative players to do the exciting stuff.

Pre season friendlies mean nothing, do you not remember the year we beat Chelsea (2-0 I think) and Sebo scored! That was not a true reflection of anything that was to come.

I've not been one of the ones shouting about spending a load of money, in fact I don't think we need to spend much, I do however think we should make an exception here, think Dallas would be a great addition, could easily make the grade when we go up too.

I can't see anymore signings until after we come back from Spurs, I honestly don't think we will go for Allan and W&W will want to see how these guys we have on trail do in a match, only so much you can tell during training. Just my opinion though
