I'm hearing that Kyle Lafferty is in advanced talks about coming back to us.
Seemingly doing it's round on Twitter and facebook. Is he better than what we have?

Lafferty was only better because of the better players he had around him at that time. He is not a great player and I think he would struggle to score this time around.

What are you basing your info on here? Kyle was in outstanding form for NI the last time he actually played, barely kicked a ball for Norwich and I personally haven't followed his progress at any other club he went to. So I'd assume you are basing your "he's better or worse" remarks when he was here almost 5years ago? Because nobody changes over that kind of period of time.

Personally I couldn't care less what Lafferty does for Northern Ireland, or for that matter what Northern Ireland does in footballing terms. I am only interested in Rangers and Lafferty is not the sort of football player or the sort of persona I want at Rangers. Nothing but trouble off the park last time he was here and a total waste of a jersey.

Lafferty has scored 5 league goals in 3 seasons, hardly prolific.

What is it with people saying get him in he better than what we have? Wtf that shows no ambition what so ever we should be looking at Celtic as there the team to catch it should be a question of is he good enough to get us to that level and the answer is no he is nowhere near he rubbish and always has been. All the players there are in the world and people would actually be happy with Kyle lafferty i used to be embarrassed watching him play the first time he was here shocking player bad attitude aswell.

Lafferty would be great for us, he has matured since he was last here. International level players are what we need and a guy like laff is going to be desperate to score about 30 a season to make amends.

Why are we still playing with Warbutons tactics still? Surely to hell after last season and start of this season this one striker nonsense has to go.
We have always been successful with 2 strikers why we not going back to basics.
I hope this new director of football comes in and looks at the tactics and points pedro in the correct position.
I do believe pedro and the signings will come good and will back the team 100% as they are still holding togther.
Wallace for me has to go as captain. Beerman to me maybe young but he is far better and can has a future. Alves be a great shout as captain with experience and no nonsense defending.

Have to say hats off to Big Pedro not wasting anytime and rebuilding the mess that has been left.
Bruno Alves . Ryan Jack . Carlos Pena. Now we are set to sign Dorrans and the mexican striker herrera. Possibility of the 3 Portuguese boys aswell.
Where is the money all of a sudden coming from? Or did King and co just not trust Warbs to spend money?

Cjmacc. There was plenty rumours flying bout that DK didn't trust MW with money. Early indications would suggest this to be true. Iv questioned Dk's commitment but he is putting his money where his mouth is now. It's been a great week with these new signings and certainly a few more in the way.

Hey first time positing been a fan of the site for a long time.
The thing that has got me thinking is why out of all the players facing being out of cotract in the summer has pedro and his team not been able to tie at least one player. Surely the lure of European football and a potential title challenge be enough to pursade a number of players?
Or are we still waiting for this appointment of a Director Of Football? Warburton had managed to secure Windass and Crooks on pre contracts by now ( granted they ain't been great ) is something going on in the background blocking pedro?

Are you talking about tying up players already at the club, if so the only man worth a new deal got one and as for players at other clubs we can't until the window opens.

Gary 75! Think the op means players out with Scotland . You can sign players outwith Scotland at anytime on a pre contract once they enter the last 6 months . So players due to be out of contract could be signed on pre contracts anytime since January.

Yeah but if we did maybe the clubs and players wouldn't want to announce it has that may hamper there end of season run in. Plus how much expectation did we have for crookes and windas and I know some on here think crookes is going to come into the team and be amazing but I feel they have been a total let down, and up until Saturday pedro would have been trying to get something out of what he has and announcing the replacements now may hamper our run in.

A wasn't sure if it was a cross border thing bennybhoy. A was just backing up the original post . Warbs had signed the Accrington boys knowing they were free in the summer on pre contracts . I also understand that the board will be waiting on Pedro choosing his own players . A think the op was suggesting offering contracts now to ensure they get players rather than waiting to the summer to scramble or miss out?

Nothing wrong with the lad but is this level we now operate at that we are taking championship players again to improve the 1st team. Waghorn . Kiernan. tav . garner . halliday. All from the lower leagues of England.
Sorry guys we should be aiming much higher. We can't risk another season hoping these guys can raise there game to match celtic. We need proven players and that costs us then it's what is going to need to happen
