Unbelievable some of the stick mw getting as i for one who was at the 5-1 game and yesterday and I'm sure it was an improvement from last time out. hodson at rb pushing tav up 1 proved right for me . yes we were hanging on at times at 0-0 anything can happen and I don't expect us to be beating them 2-0 or 3-0 or even 5-1? The game at 87 mins could have easily gone our way but unfortunately didn't . If Dave King gives mw at least couple of million to spend WISELY then I do think it would give us that 3 quality players we are needing I think warbs is doing a god job and some of the best football I've seen at ibrox in many years . . Still confident we can beat them come Hogmanay . Really irritates me when i see fellow fans giving the manager stick. I hate to say it but Celtic are and were the better team todayand unless we can spend a few quid then we'll just have to keep digging in. NS.

Are you still so deluded that you think there is any money for players . Rangers are skint and in debt.

2.) 24 Oct 2016 08:25:51
Yes darren, i agree with you and stated many times on here and again yesterday, that mark warburton is a good manager, but there's only so much you can do and achieve with the budget dave king has given him, as regards to getting close and challenging celtic. Just like i said dave king has to back our management team a bit more, just like he stated he would. Dave king has talked the talk too much now the time has most definitely come for him to walk the walk! I'm not asking for him to spend crazy money and go back to those days of spending money we don't have. But his budget outlay so far against to what he said it would be has a big discrepancy and is miles apart! If you look at his outlay in budget regarding spending on transfer fees its no where near the needed amount to expect warbs to challenge celtic on all fronts! He's not spent a great deal of his money, its all our season ticket money. King has undoubtedly still to convince me and many many rangers fans that he is the real deal and the man to take us forward to stop the complete dominance of celtic!

3.) 24 Oct 2016 08:49:27
Yesterday was like watching a Walter smith team.

4.) 24 Oct 2016 09:48:27
What a stupid stupid remark! Smith who won endless trophies?

Get a grip!

5.) 24 Oct 2016 20:56:06
Silliest post in a while that 1🤔🤔.

6.) 24 Oct 2016 21:17:35
2.5 mill on garner, moh and doddo.

3 mill approx per season on wages for Barton, niko, senderos and gardener.

Total outlay of approx 8.5 million over 2 seasons for the above players. mw has had cash to spend and he has made a complete mess of it. Would u trust him with more cash?

7.) 24 Oct 2016 22:20:28
While Warburton continues to persevere with McKay while other players, some of who cost as much if not more than Dembele did at Celtic, sit on the bench he deserves criticism. That said, I do wonder how many of the players signed were first choices?

At the end of the day it comes down to quality, there is a significant gap between us and Celtic that needs to be addressed if our Chairman and our Board of Directors genuinely wants to challenge for the title in the foreseeable future. King has made countless promises of serious funding but a bit like Murray he is full of bullshit! Either we see investment so we can bring in quality or we accept that we will not compete with Celtic unless there is a fundamental reversal in their fortunes.

Kranjcar shouldn't be in starting 11 on Sunday . Looked miles off the pace last time out. We need energy in midfield against them midfield 3- windass holt Halliday.

Darren72

1.) 17 Oct 2016 06:54:08
Tend to agree with you darren72,although kranjcar is much fitter than he was against celtic last time out. In saying that niko was outstanding and motm imo, against ICT on friday night! He's getting there now and he's without question a tremendous midfielder with terrific technique and ability!

2.) 17 Oct 2016 08:14:49
My team against celtic on sunday would be a 4-2-3-1,which i know it probably won't be, but here goes anyway guys!
foderingham
tavernier, hill, wilson, wallace,
halliday, rossiter,
windass, holt, mckay,
miller
Thats my team fellow bears, looking forward to see all other bluenose's opinions on formation and team selection on here!

3.) 17 Oct 2016 08:20:08
Yeah let's not play the only international class player in our team, the best footballer in the league. Got to give Celtic a chance.

4.) 17 Oct 2016 08:41:31
Niko must start. He is our most creative player and is definitely fitter than he was. If anyone should be benched it should be wee Baz. Can't remember the last time he took on and beat his man.

5.) 17 Oct 2016 08:52:19
Not bad SuperCoop!
I thought a 4-2-3-1 would be best too. The reason we lost last time was only 1 holding (Barton) and we lacked any enrgy to close down.
The only changes I would make are. Gilks in goal (its the cup so ts his game and hasn't done anything to lose his place) then move windass to left and play Waggy or MOH on the right.
I know Waggy has been poor but I basically feel that they have McKay's number and Windass is more of an unknown commodity to them. Also concern about goal options without Waggy!

6.) 17 Oct 2016 09:45:34
no chance of a goal with that team.

7.) 17 Oct 2016 10:14:10
We are going to go 4-3-3 as usual and I've got a horrible feeling keirnan is going to play otherwise why did warbs not play senderos against ict on Friday. I hope I'm wrong but manager seems to rate him.

8.) 17 Oct 2016 11:58:39
Aye cee, just like you said kenny miller should be nowhere near our starting line up against ICT on friday there, mum! Without question there's goals in the starting 11 i mentioned, ie. tav, windass, halliday holt, miller, yes miller cee!

9.) 17 Oct 2016 13:33:59
Miller is not good enough to be a sole striker. he drops far too deep trying to act like a footballer if he plays through the middle against celtic I doubt we will even have a shot.

10.) 17 Oct 2016 14:06:33
Agree with your team warbs15. I would bring kranjkar on when pace of game drops last 20 mins maybe.

11.) 17 Oct 2016 14:26:22
Miller is a certain starter against them on Sunday! By far the best one up front striker we have at ibrox. Honestly cee i sometimes wonder about you my friend. What are you actually watching?

12.) 17 Oct 2016 15:59:50
really you obviously don't watch our games. he drops in and most of the times is deeper than some of our midfielders his link up play 99 percent of time either results in him losing the ball or passing it straight back to the player who passed it. his passing is poor he can't hold the ball up. the only thing he brings is workrate but at his age how much can he give?

13.) 17 Oct 2016 16:25:15
I grant you that does happen sometimes but imo he's still by far the best striker we have at rangers to play the loan striker role! If you watch miller closely he's a very clever player as he drags opposition players out of position for other 'gers players to run into, he always creates space for which a windass, holt, mckay etc can run into to get beyond the striker which is so important. So that's what i see, cee!

14.) 18 Oct 2016 08:42:05
Why would anyone pick Rossiter in their starting 11 for Sunday the guy hasn't played in months and can't be match fit. We need a team of fully fit players if we are to have a remote chance of doing anything on Sunday.

15.) 18 Oct 2016 12:32:11
Is Senderos not better than Hill or Tiernan?

16.) 18 Oct 2016 14:12:38
I suspect that it will be the same team as started against ICT and I have a real concern about the defence. Unfortunately, in reality I would still have that concern with either Hill or Senderos in the team!

17.) 18 Oct 2016 16:30:29
Would like to see Warbs give our defense more protection, playing either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-1-3-2 this would also help midfeild. The tic do have pace and imo its these games Warbs really does need to think about changing his system, as for Nico tell him he has the first 45 and to run his guts out.

18.) 18 Oct 2016 16:32:39
Actually like your ideas Jaws of putting Nico on last 20 when game levels dip.

17 Oct 2016 01:28:55
Would have Miller and garner up front Sunday and I really hope that he doesn't start gilks as its a cup match which seems to be when he plays. Can someone give me confidence that warbs will not start with a 4-3-3 against them . Defence shocking again Friday night . I would start with 3cb's on Sunday and for me kenny Miller is a must start his goal other night was a good finish. What everyone's guess on formation for Sunday .

First post this site had a chat with a few of my mates since the game on Friday, on kenny Miller ( now has 100)! goals . Which I think is a great achievement, but my friends are saying he's not the type of ranger they / he would prefer .

He would almost be the first on team sheet every week as his experience is vital I think. just like to know what others think on this. Are my friends true by saying he would rather have the money than shirt as myself may see if a future Rangers manager at some point?

Darren72

1.) 16 Oct 2016 09:49:54
Darren, trust me kenny miller is a rangers man through and through!

2.) 16 Oct 2016 11:35:51
I'm a massive kenny Miller fan, I've always said he's a great player first but he's a great guy to have around the place, he's an outstanding professional who gives his all every day of the week, plus he loves the club.

3.) 16 Oct 2016 12:04:07
Darren72, kenny miller's goal was a beauty on Friday night eh. in regards to your question we would prefer a Maradona mark 2 lol, me personally i would prefer him coming on for the lazy half hour and i'd introduce on of the academy players to bang them in. i'd imagine most players at our place know the way we play, fast free flowing football, as that's the way mw has got everybody below him teaching everybody associated in our set up, our club is trying hard to keep depending down.

even if a billionaire bought our club tomorrow mw would not go signing big money on transfers, and i and loads of others are right behind what mw is trying to achieve.

4.) 16 Oct 2016 12:30:44
I've said this before but the manager is trying to sort out mess left in regards to youth set up scouting the things lot of fans don't see. I like to think fans will be patient and let him get on with it.

5.) 16 Oct 2016 15:18:49
Voldermort played for them so I'm not a fan of him. Can score a million goals but some things are burnt into my memory. I don't even register his performances. Fair play he wants to get his pension at Rangers and do a job for us but lest we forget :)

6.) 16 Oct 2016 15:57:00
he sure is rangers through and through , lol, even when he was banging in goals for Celtic ? Do you think guys like Greg, Jardine , Ferguson or even mccoist, would have joined Celtic after playing for rangers? The guy has only one god, money.

7.) 16 Oct 2016 16:02:57
Credit to Miller, great pro and still our best player IMO.

If only all Scottish players had his mentality.

8.) 16 Oct 2016 19:38:59
best player hahahahahahq behave man he's shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

9.) 18 Oct 2016 12:25:39
No Miller, and we would be at least 9 points worse off and that's just taking his goals into account. Then there is the positive effect he has on the team mentally and on the training pitch.

Shame someone can't see that.
