Time to get rid of Bruno Alves aye he was good when he was 27 and worth 20m but now he's an utter passenger .

I didn’t see Bruno give the ball away once yesterday? Why is everyone against Bruno. He gave 2 professional fouls away at edge of the box, that was it. He passed the ball well and he is the only one that wins headers back there. I’d take alves all day long in front of a Martin.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 20:28:29
Best ch at the club no question

3.) 05 Mar 2018 20:32:52
Bruno alves IS a better centre half than russell martin, i do agree people1872!Can't say anymore than that mate!

4.) 06 Mar 2018 08:50:14
If people can't see BA is the best centre half in the country, I really do despair.
As a defender and even goalkeeper I would love to have him in the defence every week. Brings confidence, gives advice, and never puts a foot wrong.

5.) 06 Mar 2018 10:31:34
Calm, assured, good distribution. Organises the defence. What's not to like? If fit, Bruno has to play imo

Wouldn't mind hibs catching Aberdeen for a Europe place hibs are more dangerous Aberdeen bottle it no fan of hibs either.

surely Rangers have second place in the bag if dons slip up?

Dave king

1.) 28 Feb 2018 22:25:57
Feck second place a win in a fortnights time and just listen is it thunder in Glasgow naw it’s every Celtic fan players and manager arse clappin we should never settle for second

2.) 01 Mar 2018 08:31:44
Let's be realistic here we will not catch Celtic this year but with investment and a good summer transfer window we will run them closes next season, we have dropped to many silly points this season invested in to many duds, now I'm starting to believe in Murty and his transfers have been very good I also include Mark Allen here he has done a great job so far, and the board have done a great job finding the cash, yes Pedro and Warburton were disasters and they squandered a lot of cash but the board dug deep and brought in some quality players in Jan transfer window so in my view we are headed in the right direction but let's be patient

3.) 01 Mar 2018 08:48:38
I think the pressure will take its toll on them if we can win next week. It would be down to 3 points, albeit they will have a game in hand. There are still 30 points to play for and you just never know in this game. I think agbroxi is right to be positive.

4.) 01 Mar 2018 08:50:06
We beat them and we are running them close.

5.) 01 Mar 2018 09:49:24
I think a wee bit of hysteria and wishful thinking BUT WHY THE HELL NOT?
Been a while since we had a shot at this, so KEEP BELIEVING, a couple of results going our way and anything can happen.
Can only get better next season - - can't wait :-)

6.) 01 Mar 2018 11:12:17
Anything can happen but there are a couple of posters on here that are beginning to sound like they are starting to expect we will beat Celtic and possibly win the league or take it to the wire.

As I say anything can happen. I will be content with finishing second and finishing within a similar distance to Celtic with which we currently sit.

I know and respect some may think I'm being negative but compared to last season it would be a significant improvement and set us up quit nicely for next season.

20 Feb 2018 17:48:38
Do you expect an 11th hour bid for morelos on 28th Feb 15 million Dumbbell dollars would be accepted 😂😂😂😂 lol.

Dave king

1.) 21 Feb 2018 06:51:31
If there is a bid it would be around the 10 mil mark that was the asking price set back in January!

2.) 21 Feb 2018 11:41:24
Going by what Murty is saying and reports there’s already been a bid of 11 million that was not near the price we value him? Don’t think anyone from the club has put a price on him

3.) 21 Feb 2018 11:43:01
Aye but his value has gone up since then! 😁

4.) 21 Feb 2018 23:56:15
Also heard Scott Arfield bought a house back in Scotland!

18 Feb 2018 10:20:40
Who thinks Murty should be given the Rangers full time managers job next season?

I have a lot of praise for the guy, the way he professionally goes about his business in press conferences and how he has turned things around quite quickly into positives on the pitch I think Rangers have accidentally found there man to go forward it would be a disaster to let him go or demote him back to the youth squad.

IF Rangers win a cup this season and finish second in the league then surely Murty is a strong candidate for the full time job it's a no brainer obviously Murty knows this and that must be his target as he's already said he would love the opportunity to take us forword.

Dave king

1.) 18 Feb 2018 10:46:24
Dave, I agree with most of what you say and I think if we win cup and finish second it should be Murtys job.

However, with Cummings, Murphy, Goss loan signings I think they may have somebody else lined and that's why they didn't commit to more perminent signings. I hope i am wrong and we have just been prudent and negotiated try before you buy deals but it looks to me as though it might be a way to save money for a new boss coming in.

2.) 18 Feb 2018 12:00:45
I will put my neck on the line this early and state that no other manager has been lined up and graeme murty WILL be given the permanent rangers manager's job, at the end of the season, on a 12 month rolling contract! I for one would be very happy if this happens, as i honestly see murty becoming a very good manager! He's impressed me so far! Confident he will get the gig permanently and honestly hope he does!

3.) 18 Feb 2018 12:18:42
As Supercoopereleven says, I think it's a given Murty will be manager next season, more so given some of his quotes regarding looking for younger players as opposed to Davis etc.

Unfortunately, purely on team performances and selections the guy doesn't fill me with much hope for the future and I can see next season being a carbon copy of this season with good wins and performances against top of the table teams and losing vs the bottom.

Really hope I'm wrong and murty proves everyone wrong but for me he's not the man to be our full time manager

4.) 18 Feb 2018 17:17:08
Loan signings with option to buy in our current state just seems sensible. Sean goss for me has looked best out the lot by a long way. However Russell Martin has been shocking I'm not a fan. Murty for me no brainier!

5.) 18 Feb 2018 18:53:17
Definately, if he plays and even only scores a couple, he will be surely worth 20 million dembelle dollars!

Not Rangers related konami have announced they are no longer going to feature the champions league in there new games which leaves to door open to EA to snap up the rights hopefully they get it cause it's the only thing missing from FIFA it looks like the end for PES.

WHO GIVES A **** ABOUT A GAME

18 Apr 2018 23:51:18
Neil Lennon new manager with £1.5M to spend in summer wages 2k buy 10 players from league 2 to freshen the team up sell morelos for 10M then in 5 years have 50M in the bank stay in the spfl main target until 2024 then compete for the league if it's done this way we save a lot of cash wait till 2024 we have dream team. Buy players for now aged 16-20 from league 2 pay 50k a player then make season ticket £650 each for the next 5 years everything goes to the club just think what rangers could do with 50M in the bank with 0% debt no finance and make the fans pay for everything but in 2024 they get it back by having huge money sealed up in the club's bank balance.

Dave king

1.) 19 Apr 2018 06:58:35
Aye nae bother Dave that’ll work

2.) 19 Apr 2018 07:51:13
then season ticket sales drop due to us fighting relegation every year.

meaning we don't earn as much money taking it past 2024 to obtain 50M

in 2024 how much of the 50m will we need to spend to win the title? I'd say all of it

3.) 19 Apr 2018 09:45:25

Dave king

1.) 16 Apr 2018 11:39:00
mixu patalinnen haha spl experience steady the ship

2.) 16 Apr 2018 11:41:11
Andy Halliday could be a good manager

15 Apr 2018 18:34:34
I'm 34 i started supporting Rangers in 1995 that's when I can remember the first old firm I watched and what I saw today was utter disgraceful they boys should be ashamed to take a wage after that I'm from an era where Rangers don't settle for second best so I don't understand why many posters are happy with second place hahaha I was used to van bronkhost and cinchelsks type of players not Andy halliday and wanna be's.
don't settle for second best it's not the Rangers way as for Dave king he has major questions to be answered about the managerial side of it and financially is he truly capable of giving Celtic a title challenge enough of excuses and flogging off the fans either show the money or get out my patience is going thin now with this board.

Scottish cup semi final score will be Celtic 4-1 Rangers

Sad truth is rangers need atleast 20M invested into that squad to even consider winning league titles disagree if you like but reality hurts doesn't it .

Once again your being shafted by Dave king in so many ways it's too long to type

The priority is a top quality manager will it happen? Doubt it

Serious investment? Unlikely maybe 5M tops spent

Remember rangers need to recoup the 8M pedro spent

So I'm guessing next season will be 2nd in the league at best and maybe just maybe rangers beat Celtic once
Rangers will do well to finish clear second next season

That's 3 years By then dk has had to turn things around has he done enough? Possibly with stability of the club

But financially no and managerial no he won't catch Celtic using rookie managers and spending 8M it's not enough

Plus there's still on going situations going on behind the scenes with courts and possible debt and can rangers survive with dk.

I feel your pain fella. Never mind eh, the teddies will be back on top soon enough and the wee knot of panic growing inside you will unravel. Bless your wee hoops.

2.) 13 Apr 2018 05:05:37
Aw well maybe I will just take the dog for a walk during the game on Sunday and not bother re-newing the season tickets then

3.) 13 Apr 2018 07:20:55
Think you should be called joe king and not Dave king after that post pal!

4.) 13 Apr 2018 12:36:01
Bates has decided to move and that’s it he decided to listen to his agent go for more money instead of waiting that’s football time to move on

5.) 13 Apr 2018 12:38:19
@DK - wee panic attack starting to manifest inside you before Sunday? The gaps closed this year points wise and with a bit more consistency from a Rangers side that is in its 3rd rebuilding job in 2 years then it might have got more interesting ( remember when it was down to 6 points ) . The Timplosion will still happen, let’s just hope you’re strapped into your straight jacket at that point because it ain’t going to be a pretty sight!

Bruno Alves doesn't bottle any match but it could be argued he's come for a last pay day lots may disagree just have a good at Portugals CBs there s 4 players in his position much younger 25+ ish worth 20M playing for top teams .
