Mcburnie off to Barnsley. Loan until the end of the season.

Dc1990

1.) 31 Jan 2018 19:56:22
Is it not Sunderland

2.) 31 Jan 2018 20:00:29
Oh well . would have been nice but wasn't to be

3.) 31 Jan 2018 20:05:05
Barnsley? Are you sure dc1990?

4.) 31 Jan 2018 20:40:31
Sky Sports News Twitter feed reporting that it's Barnsley. Sunderland have loaned some other guy.

5.) 31 Jan 2018 21:21:06
That's what sky sports news are saying. Seen it reported on a few deadline day sites also. Barnsley until the end of the season.

6.) 31 Jan 2018 21:28:26
Regarding investment, just wonder if it has anything to do with North American media .
With Alastair Johnston back on board who was heavily involved in that side of things over there who knows, might be way of the mark, any thoughts guys?

7.) 31 Jan 2018 21:28:46
Also read somewhere that we didn't put a loan offer in for him.

8.) 31 Jan 2018 21:56:20
Good he's pish. Never score a league goal for Swansea in almost 20 attempts. Sub or no sub should at least had a few

9.) 01 Feb 2018 11:16:56
It will be interesting to see how Mcburnie gets on at Barnsley as I believe we can still sign him in the summer
Scored loads of goals in u23s so we will see how he gets on in Barnsley first team

10.) 01 Feb 2018 17:39:06
Im hearing the same that Johnstone and the new member of the board are fronting the american investment for someone but want king out the way. Wether that's true about king I don't know.

11.) 01 Feb 2018 19:41:04
There no way king is going anywhere

12.) 02 Feb 2018 02:24:28
Yeah, i'm not sure what the fuss was about McBurnie either, he's never scored a senior goal

13.) 02 Feb 2018 02:26:33
i thought that we bought mcburnie and have now loaned him out to get game time

14.) 02 Feb 2018 13:02:20
IF there was proper investment, say from USA can't imagine they'd want Dave King anywhere near. I am grateful to King for getting rid of Greene and co but we need to be properly run and invested in. All these 'soft loans' needed to finish the season. Some of the crazy wages some players are on. The Pedro capers. According to Dave King himself he's skint

04 Jan 2018 23:22:00
Jason Cummings offered to us and another few teams on loan with the option to buy. Worth a punt.

Dc1990

1.) 05 Jan 2018 00:15:28
Id take the punt on him as a loan with option to by in 6-12 months. I always thought he’d end up at us from hibs until Stubbs and the inwont sell to rangers stuff. but yeh Cummings is a good player and scored for fun in Scotland’s would be a good long term replacement for Millar

2.) 05 Jan 2018 00:58:28
Hey Dc1990 where is your source regarding this information as I just can't see anyone moving in any direction without them having a manager in place who will decide what players to go after then move players on accordingly.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 03:35:05
No chance

4.) 05 Jan 2018 08:38:11
Do you have a link to this information about Cummings?

5.) 05 Jan 2018 12:24:07
It's all over twitter. Also with the no chances it's a rumour site and I'm just putting on a rumour I've seen. I've read he's been offered to us, hibs, hearts, Aberdeen and a few English sides. Type Jason Cummings into a twitter search and you'll see it.

6.) 05 Jan 2018 13:34:53
Twitter hahaha load of pish then

7.) 05 Jan 2018 13:32:03
I'm not his biggest fan, but to be fair a loan deal with an option to buy is a no brainer.

8.) 05 Jan 2018 13:38:28
He has not been offered to us this guy is just copying Brahim on twitter who put it on saying we had been offered Cummings

9.) 05 Jan 2018 15:26:05
I'm relaying a rumour I've seen online but i must be on the wrong site for rumours with the reaction I've gotten. Wait is this site not rangersrumours? wasn't that long ago people were spouting about van Persie but Jason Cummings on loan is a load of pish? Alrighty then

10.) 05 Jan 2018 17:37:11
The boy is a trouble maker and Hibs badge kisser. No thank you.

31 Dec 2017 14:11:46
I've said before that candeias work rate is immense and he takes a lot of flak for nothing. Yesterday again his work rate again was amazing. I've heard Murphy is on his way and McLean is pretty much a certainty to sign a pre contract. News of those two would be a great start to the window.

Dc1990

1.) 31 Dec 2017 15:52:48
2 very good players and would bring a lot to the team. Both very good on the ball. We can only hope that rumour is true.

2.) 31 Dec 2017 17:04:58
why mclean he is a donkey, murphy good little player

3.) 31 Dec 2017 17:24:08
I’m not convinced at all about McLean. Really don’t see what the fuss is about. Average player who has never really done much against us or them

4.) 31 Dec 2017 19:11:45
Totally agree about MacLean. Decent SPL player, nothing more

5.) 31 Dec 2017 19:31:46
McLean might not be a wprld-beater but he'd be a good player in the squad. (think he's better than holt)

6.) 31 Dec 2017 20:08:54
Agree McLean is better than a lot of the options we have in that position. Always thought he was better than Jack. I think he would def add something to or squad

7.) 31 Dec 2017 22:33:15
We need to add some height and weight to the midfield, yesterday aside we're far too lightweight and soft in the tackle.

8.) 01 Jan 2018 00:26:46
Just like Dc1990 says, daniel candeias gets a lot of not called for stick, in my eyes also! His display again celtic on the 30th of december there, was imo exceptional! His workrate for a winger is absolutely superb! I think candeias is a terrific winger who has the lot in his locker, and the 1 thing that a lot of wingers don't have, workrate! His deliveries into the opposition box are terrific and he's not afraid to take his man on with pure speed, skill and trickery! All we need is a good left winger, queue jamie murphy! We definitely have a good right winger in daniel candeias, who already has plenty of assists to his name and a couple of goals also! Tav and candeias have a terrific partnership on our right hand side!

9.) 01 Jan 2018 01:56:38
Candeias was man of the match considering control positional sense work rate and attacking qualities.

10.) 01 Jan 2018 10:02:01
Tavernier was man of the match and should be played right midfield rather than right back

11.) 01 Jan 2018 10:16:05
Bates was MOTM and rightly so

12.) 01 Jan 2018 11:25:55
The fact we had so many plausible contenders for Man of the Match speakers volumes for our overall Team performance. How times are changing, Warbs struggles against Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen and Celtic especially away from home with Murty showing how to get results there even wee Brenda has struggled against Hibs, Hearts and Rangers recently.

13.) 01 Jan 2017 12:08:36
same as you Stewie, McLean is much of a muchness. don't think he adds much to us at all

14.) 01 Jan 2017 12:18:33
I agree Candeias had a great game against the bin dippers, but he has the same issue a lot of wingers have and that is consistancy. I feel the at home the expectations of the crowd can put him off. Always looks a better player when we play away from home and play a counter attacking style. He, like so many others need to find a way to perform every week and especially at Ibrox

15.) 01 Jan 2018 14:20:11
We moan about not having a good bench but say players like Maclean aren't good enough. He might not start every week for us if he comes but as a free transfer he's definitely a player who could come off the bench and do something, plus he would provide competition for players who are in the first 11 a lot. We need a bit more strength in depth and he's certainly a good start imo

16.) 01 Jan 2018 22:31:16
I like Candeias it's just that penalty against Kilmarnock was so frustrating

17 Dec 2017 22:36:12
What does everyone think of the rumours of tony pullis for the job? Heavily rumoured down south that he's coming to us and the only reason murty is being kept as interim until the new year is that pullis wants to spend crimbo and new year with his family. Good manager for me tbh.

Dc1990

1.) 17 Dec 2017 23:35:42
Dc Pulis has a good track record in the premiership over a long period. He is clearly the best British manager available at present. Its time for the board to act now and get him in as soon as possible and give him the backing he will need to turn this very poor and weak team around. The majority are not fit to wear the jersey and I am certain Pulis would address this quickly.

2.) 17 Dec 2017 23:37:28
Fingers crossed for me

3.) 18 Dec 2017 00:08:35
The next manager is going have to be backed with a funds we at least need 5 6 better quality players espically if rumours are true and alves pena herrera are to be moved on.
i seroiusly hope our new manager who ever it be decides to get a new keeper

4.) 18 Dec 2017 02:49:24
With Celtic proving to be inconsistent this year and for us to be there or there abouts I would like to see the Pulis appointment. I think it’d show real ambition from the board and an intention of winning the league this year.

We all need a shot in the arm. Pulis could be it.

5.) 18 Dec 2017 08:13:53
if swansea lose tonight i think clement could be gone and imagine pulis would be the man they want to replace him i’d like pulis to be our nxt manager if anything he would put together a physical team which we definetely are not just now hopefully we've agreed terms with pulis and the rumours of him wanting xmas off are all that's holding the deal up

6.) 18 Dec 2017 10:17:02
If it is pulis i'm sure he watching the games and certain players who don't entertain him will be off in jan if he does come in jan givig him time to see who out there down south for loan or can afford if king gave him a budget etc

7.) 18 Dec 2017 12:11:20
If it is Pulls why don't the board sign him up just now but just start new year before some one else gets him

8.) 18 Dec 2017 14:54:26
Think Pulis would be good, especially defensively but I personally would like Paul Lambert, would cost nothing and has good background and blues supporter as a boy, don't care he play for Celtic and would know the league and what it takes, can only wait til a get pelters for this😂😂😂but he would do for me!

9.) 18 Dec 2017 15:17:21
He's no worse a shout than a lot of other names bandied about on these forums
👍👍

10.) 18 Dec 2017 15:33:49
If the rumours are true and Pulis will be appointed after crimbo he might have already handed Allen a shopping list of the type of a player we need and may have even identified specific players he will steady the ship and help us give them a run for their money and who knows another helicopter Sunday

11.) 18 Dec 2017 19:23:10
Seriously doubt any manager would want to wait that long, he would risk the team falling even further behind our rivals.

12.) 18 Dec 2017 19:25:24
Don’t fancy Pullis really. His teams are usually set out for a survival battle. In terms of tactics and formation pretty negative. A know we are not exactly playing free flowing football right now but think style would be worse under Pullis. He’s also used to working with a vast transfer kitty something we couldn’t offer for the foreseeable future.

13.) 18 Dec 2017 20:18:14
I forgot bout Lambert that's a good shout

14.) 18 Dec 2017 20:35:10
Lambert is a dreadful shout, just look at his last adventure. He's a shambles and hasn't got a job for a reason.

15.) 18 Dec 2017 20:53:11
I think lambert comes in and does well at first but he leaves teams worse off than they were before. I personally think pullis is a great shout. Aye he might set out teams to survive in England by being physical but let's be fair we haven't exactly been good defensively for a wee while now so this might be the type of manager we need. Aye it won't be exciting but you know what who cares if we start getting results. Celtic and the sheep keep slipping up his season so get pullis in and at least make us hard to beat. He will need some dough but I genuinely don't think we are far off a decent side. Maybe a bit more pace going forward and figure out what we are doing defensively because (I might get slaughtered for this) alves is a bombscare in my opinion.

16.) 19 Dec 2017 02:02:27
DSGERSFAN that's why i think its a load of rubbish, if he has stated he doesn't want to work till the new year why not just sign him, just because he doesn't want to work till the new year doesn't mean he can't sign a contract before then. I still think we are going to be very unimpressed by the next manager, hope am wrong though.

17.) 19 Dec 2017 02:08:56
I think tony would be a good shout and if it does happen am backing him 100% after all every body deserves there chance

18.) 19 Dec 2017 02:31:08
How about Craig Levein, masses of experience of Scottish game and has also managed down south.

19.) 19 Dec 2017 06:07:53
Sorry bankie, i wouldn't touch craig levein with a bargepole! Not for me mate!

20.) 19 Dec 2017 15:22:39
Fintry tint that's Wat I ment sign him on a precontract

I Just want to extend my sympathies to Liam milers family. Just announced he died aged 36 from cancer.

Dc1990

1.) 10 Feb 2018 06:43:40
Absolutely tragic news, thoughts are with his family at this time! 36 is far too young to be taken. This is when the game is brought into perspective.

2.) 10 Feb 2018 08:56:22
Sorry hit the disagree button by mistake
My thoughts are with his friends and family heartbreaking

3.) 11 Feb 2018 14:01:31
Hate these situations my deepest sympathy to the family of a wonderful footballer. Just hope no idiotic bitter person that's calls themselves a rangers does anything disrespectfull. Just think of his family

26 Dec 2017 14:13:07
Here we go again on this. People bashing the manager on this. He may not have been he first choice but he's here and making an effort to pick up the pieces of the last few manager. Instead of having a go how about you all get behind him. No wonder our home record is poor with you lot. Rangers football club for me has always been a family, that's why we always have so many former. players visiting and speaking kindly of us But recently our fans have been rubbish. We moan when something doesn't go our way. So how about we get behind our team and be the 12th man.

Dc1990

1.) 26 Dec 2017 14:52:35
It’s the boards fault but he’s not the man for the job. He’s been in charge for 9 games and lost 4. Aye he managed to break the 3 game hoodoo but we are worse than when we had Pedro, that is fact. No point in beating Aberdeen and Hibs if you are going to undo it all vs bottom half teams.

We are a shambles.

2.) 26 Dec 2017 14:55:50
Ps. You must be having a laugh about the fans? We are paying more than anybody in the league to watch sheer dross. The fans have been very patient. It doesn’t matter how good or bad a Rangers team is, the home fans are very demanding and if the players can’t handle that then they need to be shown the door. It’s the same at Celtic or any other big club. Another sold out game tomorrow, if the team don’t turn up again then why should the fans not express their opinions?

3.) 26 Dec 2017 15:08:32
its the attitude of "just shut up and blindly support the team" that King is banking on. He knows the level of loyalty within our fanbase and is hoping we just continue to put up with sub standard management of the club. I feel we are actually at a major crossroads at the moment, very dark days ahead if we continue the path we are on. We need to speak up and be vocal that the way things are is entirely unacceptable

4.) 26 Dec 2017 20:43:12
Look at our home and away record. We've lost more at home than we have away which shows it's got to be something at ibrox. Maybe if we got behind the team instead of booing or groaning at every Mispass we would get better results at home. I'm not saying people can't express their opinion, I'm saying maybe we should be more constructive than just booing our club and our players. The player will be scared to to put through that killer ball at home in case they get slaughtered for it. These guys are just normal people too and to the put up or shut up comment, King and co might not be running the club the way we want but if hadn't took over the club then there was the chance we wouldn't have a club at this minute.

5.) 27 Dec 2017 10:30:52
Sorry, Dc1990, I'm not taking the blame for the team being honking.

Also, I do wish people would give us a break with the romanicisation of the club. Your comment, "Rangers football club for me has always been a family, that's why we always have so many former. players visiting and speaking kindly of us" applies to just about every club.

6.) 27 Dec 2017 12:44:35
So how can you explain our home record then? We have put in some good performances away from home. It's the the number of fans in the stands who are at times toxic. Obviously everyone is entitled to an opinion. Mines is that we have some toxic fans (like other clubs) who spout toxic negative pish constantly and sing toxic songs which get our club into trouble. If you were a footballer and were offered a contract at rangers why would you want to come if you knew a portion of your support were so negative. People on here were slating Derek Mcinnes before he was even contacted about the job. People on here slated Pedro 2 games into his reign. Ill probably get slated on this and you know what who cares.

18 Dec 2017 20:53:59
John fleck? Anyone think he would come back? Playing pretty consistently for Sheffield united this season.

Dc1990

1.) 18 Dec 2017 22:03:21
I doubted it earlier in the season when someone else mentioned on here but since then I've watched him play a few times and this is a boy now fulfilling his potential and I'd take him back and anyone who disagrees needs to watch the way he is playing nowadays a big difference from the boy that played for us years ago

2.) 18 Dec 2017 22:03:34
Would cost too much

3.) 19 Dec 2017 02:17:15
Hopefully not he couldn't cut it at Rangers before, can't see any difference now, it takes a person with the right mentality to make it at Ibrox, and not just a good player.

4.) 19 Dec 2017 05:39:52
Wt mkes u think he would want to come bk mate lol?

5.) 19 Dec 2017 05:48:27
I said fleck months ago. Mate he couldn't cut it when we had tge best players in scotland now he would be one of the best. Are you forgetting the position rangers are in?

6.) 19 Dec 2017 08:12:20
Alex1972 have you seen him play this season, he was a wee boy when last in our team and I could understand the problem if it was him himself that was hyping up his talent in the press as scotlands Wayne Rooney. He went away got rid of the hype and forged a career for himself, give him a chance

7.) 19 Dec 2017 09:24:09
Fleck has matured into a very good player at championship level and he would definitely improve our midfield

Who's going to want to come to us when our board have been involved In some controversial goings on with managers. We aren't far as far behind Celtic as pundits like to say but we will be if we don't bring in players who can put in a shift. Some of the worst displays I seen on Sunday were from guys who support our club. i'm going to say it, Murphy has done nothing since he's came in, holt is too light weight, Halliday is just straight rubbish. He would struggle to get into a Scottish championship team. Has dorrans really brought in the displays we thought he would? None of these so called supporters of our club looked like they gave a f@@£! I will say this though, we have massively missed Ryan Jack.
