Hello fellow bears. I have a genuine rumour here. Whether you's believe me or not, I don't really care. I very rarely come on here with solid rumours. Anyway. There I was today minding my own business in work as u do (I work as a chef btw and we have an open kitchen) and Neil Warnock pops past the kitchen. Random I know. So I begin a convo with him about football and tell him I'm a rangers man. He then asks me my opinion on barrie mckay and I tell him honestly that he's got potential but rarely turns up for games and he said and I quote "I was thinking of taking a gamble on him". I then had a joke with him and said we'll accept 10 Mil for him and he just laughed and went back upstairs so I could cook his food. As I said guys if u believe me or not I'm not fussed. But I promise it is genuine. Nothing may materialise from it all but we'll see. Thoughts?

Hahahahahahahahaha did he aye, just happens to ask the chef for a low down on a player
Gee piece man

2.) 27 Jun 2017 18:57:40
Did you give his dog some sausages?

3.) 27 Jun 2017 19:23:47
As I said I'm not fussed if you's believe me or not. I know it's true. I admit it's strange that he asked me about a player but it is what it is.

4.) 27 Jun 2017 20:08:26
I don't think this is unreasonable tbh, cheers mate.

5.) 27 Jun 2017 21:27:48
Is the kitchen you work in the asdas outside Ibrox and Warnock realised your advice was first class especially on saving money but seriously a manager would not approach a player in contract without permission of the club would not travel miles to scout a player when they are not involved in a game and only training behind closed doors and especially would not disclose any specific targets to a chef if you had said he was up scouting a player in Glasgow it would be believable

6.) 27 Jun 2017 21:50:48
This is a new one football Roumers from a kind of upmarket Chippie

7.) 27 Jun 2017 22:09:41
Could be true Neil Warnock has a house in bridge of weir

8.) 27 Jun 2017 22:17:19
What a load of garbage do you drive from Dunoon to Murray Park every day for work?

9.) 27 Jun 2017 22:31:03
dunoonbluebear, clearly you are fussed or you wouldn't have replied back. but saying that. I was Manchester last week and pep asked me the same thing. told him the boy is a chip off the old block and he should buy him for £5million plus a 30% sell on clause plus a player on loan for the next 2 seasons. said jeus Gabriel would do. if not him then maybe just maybe David Silva. but hey we can wish I suppose. hahahaha

10.) 27 Jun 2017 23:45:35
Atleast some of you's actually believe me. He actually has a house in dunoon aswell and visits regularly. It was just a general enquiry from him. He didn't get a paper and pen out or have an agent with him or anything like that! Ha he was having lunch with his wife. He asked me how barrie was as a player and said he was thinking of a gamble. He was a very pleasant man and easy to talk to. Whether he was serious or not I don't know. Just passing on genuine info bears.

11.) 28 Jun 2017 08:23:12
I wouldn't worry about it. Most on here are just as bad as key board warriors. Unless it's yesterday's news they're only interested in making fun of it. I personally don't see why it's hard to believe that he would ask someone's opinion. It's not like he's going to take your word on it but as you said you were just making small talk.

12.) 28 Jun 2017 08:50:48
I thought that's what a rumour page was for just passing on information that we've heard I mean let's be honest there's been some belters on here at times like Drogba, Ibra, RVP, Terry, Lampard which are all way way made up, so Dunnoon bears information about a casual chat with Neil Warnock seems plausible to me

13.) 28 Jun 2017 09:07:18
Christ, you'd think he was reporting an RVP rumour the way some of you are reacting. Does he have a history of BS posts to justify a troll type response from folk? . Sounds such a random encounter it's likely true. It's not exactly an exciting (attention seeking) post either, is it? Warnock was clearly making small talk with a guy that said he supported Rangers and asked his opinion, just to be nice.

I know it's early days and we haven't even played a match yet. But with the obvious improvement in caliber of our signings and the interviews with Stevie g and his backroom staff it really feels for the first time since 2012 that we are being ran properly as a club. Particularly on the field. Admittedly I was one of the doubters when I seen gerrard was going to be manager but so far he has proved me wrong big time with his signings, his attitude and commitment and his demand for respect and knowing what it means to play for the badge and drumming that into the players. That's exactly what we've been missing recently and I'm very excited about the new season. Let's be honest fellow bears. It can't be any worse can it? #letsgo #.

Dunoonbluebear

1.) 22 Jun 2018 17:24:40
Patience DB, . agree all sounds good, but we haven't seen any of them play yet!

2.) 22 Jun 2018 23:14:08
One thing for sure we won't be dwarfed in the tunnel when we play the east end mob.

3.) 23 Jun 2018 10:49:51
Me too Dunnoon. the thought of Stevie before was just a joke, but he seems to have galvanised us like no other could have. I think we are on to a winner. let’s get behind him and forge ahead, let’s go.

29 Apr 2018 09:03:00
Does Mark Allen see our wonderful club as some sort of training ground? It's obviously him who has highlighted Gerrard as a potential manager. For me it's such a big risk! It could turn out to be a stroke of genius but in the same breath it could be another disaster. He will command respect for sure but will that be enough?

Let's be brutally honest here. With aberdeen winning tonight we have no chance of finishing second. Celtic will win on Sunday and will lie down to every team from then onwards to ensure we finish nowhere. I hope I'm wrong and I know I sound like a paranoid Celtic fan but what I've said will probably happen unfortunately.

Dunoonbluebear

1.) 27 Apr 2018 20:50:52
They stiil have to play Hibs and celtic we just have to win our games against them and hibs sorted

2.) 27 Apr 2018 21:09:50
Free hit on Sunday against the mhankies and if we win the last 3 games we finish second. Doesn’t matter any other results.

If we don’t then we don’t deserve to finish second.

Murty and his team have a chance to finish the season on a high. We shouldn’t be happy with second but another small improvement. Keep believing Bears.

3.) 27 Apr 2018 22:02:57
Been doing a few sums. Surw with our goal difference. If we get nothing on sunday we only need to win 2 out of next 3 games to get european football whether 2nd or 3rd place

4.) 27 Apr 2018 22:05:41
As I said I hope I'm wrong. In an ideal world the players step up on Sunday and get a result. But can we really see that happening?

5.) 28 Apr 2018 07:43:33
There is no chance that happening Sunday our current crop of spineless, heartless rubbish will lose once again to them. These players are s**t scared of them and don’t have the stomach for games like this

So big brenda comes out and asks if the unbeaten run was so easy then how come we didn't do it in the lower league's? What a joke of a question. How about 'brenda' because we don't and didn't have the millions upon millions of pounds to spend on players or worry about such silly records in the first place. also I thought what we did in the lower leagues didn't count? So does that mean we've won 57 league titles and not 54? Give me a break. Talk about spitting the dummy. The only record that counts is 54 titles perma tan brenda so don't forget that! 54 say no more!

Dunoonbluebear

1.) 25 Dec 2017 21:08:16
We did have much more £££s than anybody we played down there so we should have had such a record

2.) 25 Dec 2017 22:14:02
Pedro spent more this summer than Rodgers has spent net since he arrived so no idea where the millions upon millions comes from

3.) 26 Dec 2017 07:53:10
Marty can you prove this? I’m not saying your wrong it’s just I never heard actual sums paid for players, just guesses as the fees where undisclosed.

4.) 26 Dec 2017 08:35:15
Marty

Please enlighten us to the exact fees paid by Rangers in the summer compared to Celtic? Also please tell us where you got this information from? Or do you just get it from the papers?

5.) 26 Dec 2017 09:49:33
We really shouldn't care / bother what Brenda says/ thinks but even when they're winning they're thinking about the rangers. Mad

6.) 26 Dec 2017 15:10:34
57 league titles? You having a laugh I would be embarrassed to say that about the other 3.

7.) 26 Dec 2017 15:11:41
well sounds like Brendan touched a nerve!

8.) 26 Dec 2017 15:12:49
20k pw on manager
18k pw on the likes of McCulloch
500k for Templeton
2nd highest wage bill in whole country.

millions of pounds per season you spent.

9.) 26 Dec 2017 15:13:25
You had £22million. You were up against part timers and still couldn't do a run like Celtic. You had £22mill. You spent it as well as the money you generated from gate and tv. Have a look at yourself. The jokes not Brendan Rodgers its your directors who simply stole the money. By the way ed as usual you won't print this. Don'tl
want to upset The People however its fact. The Rangers supporters who have stood by the club in thick and thin are again being taken for mugs. How was King ever fit and proper. Joke. Great club being run by donkeys but going back to the post by Dunoonblue, you are talking nonsense. You couldn't get close to it even in the lower leagues.

10.) 26 Dec 2017 23:41:13
Hope no Rangers fan gives a flying hoot what Brenda thinks or says. Levein put him in his place the other week. No EPL club took a sniff at him and they won't cause he has easiest job in British football. How many clubs down south have changed manager? Not one mention of him. Up here filling pockets with no competition. Rangers will return sooner or later and then you will find his agent chases mid table team down south. Never cared what Delia, Dr Jo, wim, Tommy, Billy or John had to say so won't start now.

Let's no over analysis things tonight guys. Overall it was a good enough performance and we got a result. Let's not forget it was our first competitive game with in the end five new players in the line who will all take time to gel. It was a win. I actually think we will do better over there in 5 days time. We need to give the players time though. Let's think positive rather than negative. Cardoso was good at the back. Jack was solid. Dalcio looked lively and niko was the star of the show. Could and should of been more than 1 but we will get through. Back in Europe bears. That's the main thing.

Really must disagree - what game were you watching -I was hyped up for it - took 4hrs unpaid off my work to go to the game - 50,000 fans were ready for it - the chairman gave us a pep talk before the kick off and we score 1 goal at home against a team from Luxembourg! And you say let's think positive? That was poor tonight - no ifs buts or maybes - Tell me about all the exciting attacking play in the 2nd half? Tell me about the near misses - no- there wasn't any was there - Come on pc - we have to be better than that!

2.) 30 Jun 2017 03:33:09
Dunoonbear

Whilst I do agree with you what you have to bear in mind though that this was a team from Luxembourg who are currently 4th in their league

3.) 30 Jun 2017 08:08:52
Dunoon, gonnae change the record. I'm sick of being told to wait for the team to gel. We were told this for the first half of last season, probably by you, and we all know how that ended. These are professional players and should be capable of beating the forth best team in Luxembourg.

However, credit were it due; congratulations to Progres for their best result away from home in Europe.

I think we should at least give garner another season. Unless we get a good offer for him which ain't going to a happen. He could well get better with other players around him and in a different formation. Only one way to find out. Fact of the matter is next to none of our players are good enough to wear the Jersey so you can hardly just lay the blame at his door. Next season will show us what he's really made of. If pedro gives him that chance that is.

Yes scotty123 your absolutely right. He does have a house in dunoon and I got slated last year when I said he was interested in signing Barrie McKay when I met him and then it turns out he was sniffing around for him at one point. Damn if u do and don't on this site sometimes 😂
