Dont usually take an interest in this but steve g has went from 40/1 to 7/1 for the Birmingham managers job.

1.) 07 Jul 2020 09:01:09
Cant see stevie go for few years yet

But you never no in football.

2.) 07 Jul 2020 09:05:55
Why would he leave us and go to a tinpot club like Bermigum. 😂.

3.) 07 Jul 2020 09:12:10
The bookies are seldom wrong but I couldn't see it myself. Another crack at Europe, managing one of the biggest clubs in world football, the chance to stop their historic 9 and three quarters. Chuck all that to go to Birmingham and start again.

4.) 07 Jul 2020 09:21:15
He won't go its a backwards step in his managerial career.

5.) 07 Jul 2020 09:39:35
He has already turned them down.

6.) 07 Jul 2020 09:39:57
Can’t see it and don’t believe he would leave on season which is going to be so important
To win silverware trying to stop 10

Would give him a bad image if he left just now and make him look very weak

Never happening for me he’s dedicated to rangers just now and as much as I can moan about some his past signings and tactics used at times

He won’t walk away and I certainly do t expect him to walk away

And I’m backing him to do it this season - I hope anyway 😊.

7.) 07 Jul 2020 10:13:11
u do realise how odds work? We were 1/ 2 to sign van persie. And tims were evs to sign zlatan. don't mean its happening. Just a flurry of bets knockin price down.

8.) 07 Jul 2020 10:22:45
All it takes For the odds to change is some mug putting on a sizeable bet. their loss as he’s not going anywhere.

9.) 07 Jul 2020 12:21:58
No chance will the gaffer leave to go to Birmingham.

10.) 07 Jul 2020 17:27:18
FHB

I read somewhere he already told them no and odds mean nothing Steve McLaren was 1/ 4 at one point to be new Utd manager so I would never go with odds off a bookie.

11.) 07 Jul 2020 20:30:48
Tinpot club, you really couldn't make it up could you,

02 Apr 2020 21:04:46
I was reading today that the club are going to send out letters for next years season books. Surely this can't be right? We want this season null and void as nobody knows when this horrible situation shall clear. The club have not mentioned anything about refunds for last 5 home games. So how do we know how many games the league shall be next season.

Fauldhoose bear

1.) 02 Apr 2020 22:08:38
Club has to survive any way it can. As awful as this is, if we want Rangers to survive, we have to help where we can too. Can't all be the board members funding it, any legitimate and viable revenue streams have to be looked at.

2.) 02 Apr 2020 22:51:50
Maybe the players can forfeit their wages for a few weeks to cover the cost of the season tickets then since they seem to be doing nothing else.

3.) 03 Apr 2020 08:33:42
What are you doing camberslang? What is it you want them to do?

4.) 03 Apr 2020 08:53:54
In the small print it states we won’t be refunded if any games are cancelled for circumstances out with clubs control which is fair enough it’s nobody’s fault and I would rather our club keep the funds, they are still losing the other match day revenue and still need to pay everyone at the clubs wages.
celtic on the other hand have not covered the self for this and would be liable to refund their fans if remaining games are in played or in the event (unlikely as it is) that season is null and void need to repay back all the season ticket money.

5.) 03 Apr 2020 10:13:43
Me and my daughter will pay are memberships. Everyone else will decide for themselves be safe everyone.

6.) 03 Apr 2020 11:06:10
Cambuslang ger, why should the players take the hit, i agree it would be a nice gesture by the players, but let's wait till we see how long we are going to be out the game., so to speak, before the fans ask for favours, my opinion only.

7.) 03 Apr 2020 12:34:50
I will be honest I don’t care about getting any refund for games not played as long as it helps the club.

8.) 03 Apr 2020 12:57:08
Glasgowranger. as to your take on celtic not covering themselves for cancelled games. I see it differently celtic like other industries say concerts if I buy a ticket and it is cancelled then I am due a refund or ticket valid for alternative date, that is how I see celtic position and see the rangers position of if games cancelled TOUGH! So unlike you I would prefer my club to be ultra fair to its supporters.

9.) 03 Apr 2020 12:59:37
Fans wanting a refund on their Season ticket books? Seriously? have a good look at yourselves.

10.) 03 Apr 2020 15:17:18
Slim jim. It's not just about getting refunds, so what if 45000 renew and it's an average of 450 pound and the season only maybe have 20 games. some maybe happy to pay this but there are a lot who won't be happy.

11.) 03 Apr 2020 15:19:17
Screw the crisis and the club's very survival, I want my £80 back!

12.) 03 Apr 2020 15:35:46
Surely they can not be asking for season ticket money when this virus lockdown is still in place and no official time when it would be?
It would be irresponsible of any club or similar to be asking their fan base to payout money when some are furloughed etc. If they do its a absolute joke. As for refunds for this season, don't bloody be greedy. ….

13.) 03 Apr 2020 17:24:15
its not anyone's fault, its just one of the intangibles of life. So, ticket holders lose out a bit this year, its just tough luck.
As for asking for book money at this time, i would have thought they would delay it a few weeks.

14.) 03 Apr 2020 18:14:05
I wonder if all you guys saying stuff the refunds would be saying the same if you booked 4 weeks train tickets in advance and all trains ended up cancelled. I wonder if you would just say stuff it it's only 80 pound.

15.) 03 Apr 2020 18:45:48
rfcrb1872 - Hope you get your money back mate and that our club does survive I also hope you stay away in future because your attitude is stinking. your name doesn't match the love for the club.

16.) 03 Apr 2020 18:58:26
Fauldhoose Bear - This is not train tickets we're talking about mate. geez.

17.) 03 Apr 2020 19:12:35
I literally don't know anybody wanting there last 5 games refunded. And that's the way it should be.

18.) 03 Apr 2020 19:35:29
Jyf well considering just 1 of these players earn more than a few of our wages put together. They could easily forfeit there wages for a couple of weeks 1 they could possibly help the club or donate it to charity.
And for what am I trying to do I am wondering how am gona pay my mortgage. 👍.

19.) 03 Apr 2020 22:06:35
@leithyger, you've misread me - it was sarcasm, summing up the attitude I don't like. Check my earlier post in this thread if you're unsure.

20.) 03 Apr 2020 22:10:46
Dont want my 5 games refunded, that moneys the clubs. Agree that with everything that's happening, it's a bit Illtimed to put season ticket renewal letters. Also agree that its time for the players to take a hit, should be voluntarily for the good of the club.

21.) 03 Apr 2020 22:40:36
Apologies to rfcrb1872.was getting annoyed with the call for refunds, we either want the club to push forward with our help or we can try to drag them back and moan about the quality on the park.

22.) 04 Apr 2020 04:30:10
Want this season voided. ? Really.

23.) 04 Apr 2020 12:58:07
So you're doing nothing then camberslang, not volunteering just criticising others and expecting them to put their mortgage worries on hold. I am truly sorry for everyone who are experiencing financial difficulties at this time but we are all in it together and expecting any working man to forfeit their wages just because they earn more than us is in my opinion unfair.

24.) 04 Apr 2020 14:15:38
@Leithy no harm mate.

25.) 04 Apr 2020 16:16:25
I don't see any harm. At least they aren't just going and taking fans money. Could just be organised and take money at a later date.

26.) 05 Apr 2020 17:46:25
Jyf they should take a reduction mate. The majority of our squad will be millionaires sitting at home. Thry are well looked after by the club, shouldn't be taking s full wage for sitting at home. Very few of the population are as fortunate, not like they will have to worry about eating and heating there homes like most of us just now.

01 Mar 2020 17:11:00
The board are looking at a man if stevie g walks. He managed a team to a 4.1 victory at ibrox against walter smith and 2 wins against celtic. DAN PETRESCU. top player and done really well in management.

Fauldhoose bear

1.) 01 Mar 2020 19:00:03
What you mean the board are looking. Are u saying he's been spoken of or too by someone on board.

2.) 01 Mar 2020 21:34:27
Don't talk p**h fauldhoose bear!
Do you actually believe that pal?
Absolute comedy 😂😂😂😂😂. Gerrard is our manager git behind the guy! I could see the point if we hadn't improved under him but we absolutely have and he'll get us there by now being ruthless in the summer imo.

3.) 01 Mar 2020 22:48:11
The board are fully behind Gerrard. They are not looking at anyone. I know its a rumour site but people are just talking nonsense.

4.) 02 Mar 2020 13:34:54
SGL. i came on here friday evening and said do you think the other players are fed up with the preferential treatment that alfie gets and i got pelters. Then only yesterday everyone was was saying sell him discipline him including yourself. Now I'm telling what I heard about petrescu. Might be nonsense might not be.

5.) 02 Mar 2020 14:06:17
Its total p**h pal! Dan petrescu has no chance of being appointed the rangers manager! We've got our manager thank you very much, he's called steven gerrard! Get behind the guy, as i anyway have still every faith he'll get us to where we all want to be! Mcv is correct, our board are fully behind our manager, no doubt about that!

6.) 02 Mar 2020 16:29:28
Coop with the greatest respect you were right behind warbs and pedro until the very end, you believed that they would get us to where we want to be, you had no doubt. Now you are repeating yourself with gerrard. Gerrard is the problem, he is tactically inept. 👍.

7.) 02 Mar 2020 16:37:10
You can't really throw that at people and get personal sfter dome of the rumours you've put up coops tbh. Bit out of order mate.

8.) 03 Mar 2020 11:16:12
Super, some evidence please rather than what you truly believe.

Only a pre season but plenty positives here without getting carried away. Keeper looks good. Kent was silly to react. Hagi going to be a 15 to 20 goal scorer this season just exactly what we are needing.

Fauldhoose bear

1.) 16 Jul 2020 21:54:39
And yet some on here think we played against Lyon’ wee team - behave yersel 25 or what ever yer name is. Lyon are holding the tourney, so they their best on the day!

2.) 16 Jul 2020 22:02:48
Not for me fauldhoose bear common pal! Kent should never have been sent off for that, absolute terrible decision by the ref. Wee kent was playing terrific as well! Very very soft red card for me. If anything should have booked the 2 of them at worst.

3.) 16 Jul 2020 23:26:06
SGL, your wrong my friend, the ref made the correct decision, as soon as you lift your hands, your off mate. However trivial it was.

4.) 17 Jul 2020 00:52:02
Stuck: So the guy who lifted his hand should have, by your reckoning of 'trivial' should also have walked and the referee made a wrong decision. Correct?

5.) 17 Jul 2020 07:08:56
True blue the 1st 65 mins or so was Lyon 2nd string. but then we weakend our team and they put all there 1st team on. And the likes of mayo and patterson etc coped very well so that's a massive positive.

6.) 17 Jul 2020 07:42:28
SGL defending Kent who saw that happening?

It was a soft red but when you lift your hands he only has himself to blame.

The worst part is he was playing well.

7.) 17 Jul 2020 10:31:26
Kent made it easy for the ref.
Paul 86 we can only beat what they put out, I know they did not have strongest team. Ch cost 30 million and Alf bullied him all game
Also we did not play mcgregor or helander. Although edmiston was best player on park.

8.) 17 Jul 2020 10:33:50
TBH I sort of agree with both, Kent was stupid and can have no complaints but in a friendly and given some of the very poor tackles the ref had let slide earlier in game I think he might have shown some commonsense and let him off with a warning.

09 Jul 2020 23:17:52
Thoughts and prayers with big scott nesbit. Just reading there the big fella has cancer with it beingb 4 tumours. Hope you can beat it big fella.

2.) 10 Jul 2020 05:37:42
My heart sank when I read nizzy's sad news.

3.) 10 Jul 2020 08:33:25
all the best scott, u have got this. Will never forget that goal, it might be the biggest fluke in europe, but who cares. Rangers are back in front.

4.) 10 Jul 2020 08:34:23
Aw that is really sad. Good big guy. All the best in your fight with this terrible disease, Scott.

5.) 10 Jul 2020 08:38:29
Scott, as someone who beat this challenge, stay positive Son, I'll always remember the valued contribution you made to our Club, all the best pal, praying for you.

6.) 10 Jul 2020 08:44:49
So sad and hope and pray Scott nisbet will beat this terrible challenge 🙏We're all rooting for you nizzy! 🙏I'll never forget his goal at ibrox and watching the game again when i got home and that goal against brugge! "It may be the biggest fluke in the world, but who cares"! God bless you and all your family big man!

7.) 10 Jul 2020 09:08:30
Thinking of Nesbit at this challenging time.

8.) 10 Jul 2020 09:07:09
As someone who has had and beaten cancer I wish him all the very best. This will affect all his friends and family but he is a fighter.

9.) 10 Jul 2020 13:19:08
Still no idea how that ended up in the night lol stay strong big nizzy.

07 Jul 2020 22:27:41
Guys, I honestly hope that our players do the talking on the park and not in the papers. I listen to liverpool and man city staff and they have nothing but respect for each other. I feel our players say the wrong things as a lot on here do as well. Let's not kid ourselves on here! the east end mob are a good side and the quicker we accept it the quicker we can catch them. No more talk lads we need to walk the walk.

Fauldhoose bear

1.) 07 Jul 2020 23:06:33
I agree to an extent fauldhoose bear that celtic have a bit more quality in their squad than ours at present mate. Where I honestly slightly differ from you mate is that i truly don't think celtic are as good as some would have us believe. I think against them since gerrard became rangers manager, we've most definitely proved that mate. If we consistently over the full season,
find the form we did before the winter break, i believe we'll win the league! Its against the the sit in smaller teams we have to find a way to get the 3 points, at all costs. Do that and like i said we most definitely can win the league. In the games against them, we've proved without doubt, we're more than a match for them! let's do it! 👍.

2.) 07 Jul 2020 23:45:53
Yes coops I agree we need to be more consistent but nothing irks me more than players saying silly things like ojo did with the best squad nonsense. They have honestly got a better squad than us. It's very close with top 11 players but they have more depth.

I hope the players say yes celtic are a good side and that's the level we must get to rather than say oh we are better than them as it just puts more pressure on the team.

3.) 08 Jul 2020 00:43:52
It's true, I wish that players wouldn't get drawn on these things by the mhedia up here. Anything they say is always taken out of context. Leave the bumming to the lurgan bigot and his usual crew (crispie, lego and the hollicom cheerleaders such as mutton, fartson etc) and then do a Walter Smith and use what they say to our advantage. Worked a treat for us. Coops is right, we need to learn how to get the vital wins over teams that sit in. The games against the anthill mhob will take care of themselves. We've shown we can outplay them and win comfortably. It's the slip ups against the rest that have caused problems. We must find a way to try and win every game.

4.) 08 Jul 2020 01:10:55
Liverpool and city don't hate each other, and they are all very rich men, so they are chilled knowing they will still be very rich no matter who wins the league,

5.) 08 Jul 2020 06:30:19
Are rangers players are on the minimum wage tommy,?

6.) 08 Jul 2020 08:06:35
Not disagreeing with what you say Supercoop but how do you think Gerrard can cure the problem of breaking down teams who park the bus against us? It can't just be about taking chances, but also having a creative midfield spark to make openings. Maybe Hagi will provide that missing piece?

7.) 08 Jul 2020 08:14:47
I don’t buy into this idea which is constantly banded around that the only reason we don’t win the league is because the smaller teams sit in against us. Also that we are clearly better than Celtic. It goes without saying that the smaller teams don’t just sit in against us they also sit in against Celtic and because they have more goal scorers and threats from midfield they are better placed to break these teams down.

Celtic have another gear whereas Rangers are having to up their game too often. I don’t think there is a lot in it and if we can get the 3 class additions the title is possible. Hence the reason why we must get quality in the door.

8.) 08 Jul 2020 10:02:09
You took the words out of my mouth DOIGER 👍 Hagi playing in the central no.10 role, playing ryan kent in his natural wide left position, to get down the sides of teams and a class right winger to do likewise on the right wing (skov olsen)? Class/ creative players in their natural positions will in the end most of the time find a way to break the most compact/ stubborn of defences down mate! 👌👍.

9.) 08 Jul 2020 10:39:19
Doiger - Hagi could well be that missing piece, provided Gerard plays him in the no.10 role. Don't think he's suited to right wing which is where he was playing before lockdown.

10.) 08 Jul 2020 10:52:43
Let's hope Gerrard plays Hagi his best position. If he is half as good as his father was he'll be great for us. I think Arfield can offer more if played in his best position. We need goals from midfield to take the weight of Morelos (if he stays! ) .

11.) 08 Jul 2020 11:45:39
Morelos is not staying he is on his way out.

12.) 08 Jul 2020 11:56:54
Correct muppet they have more match winners in there team than us.
We need more goals spread around and also a change of formation against the smaller clubs that sit in.

13.) 08 Jul 2020 13:01:27
I think our main problem is that we don't have seasoned trophy winners in our squad. Once we start picking up some silverware then you will see a stronger winning mentality and improvement.

18 Jun 2020 22:39:10
SGL. I seen earlier you saying SG and ross wilson would not lie about signings. I'm not saying they are or would lie. I think ross wilson has been brought here to make us money as mark allen could not and was shown the door for that very reason. People on here were saying he was off to man utd but he was shown the door as his transfers out were nothing short of shocking.

Fauldhoose bear

1.) 18 Jun 2020 23:09:47
Good post re mark Allen fauldhoose.

2.) 18 Jun 2020 23:47:00
Fauldhoose, yeh was behind a few shocking decisions but I heard Marc Allen and Gerrard had a massive fallout resulting in Gerrard saying to King - it's either him or me. Did anyone else here that?

3.) 19 Jun 2020 01:54:54
Think Gerrard is hoping to win youth league because nearly every player we are linked to is another young up and coming talent we need major signings for here and now to stop 10 in a row not kids from Ross County Blackpool and across the pond Gerrard said it's exciting times well let's actually see it because it's hardly been inspiring so far with signings.

4.) 19 Jun 2020 07:25:16
When did 9iar happen? Must've missed that.

5.) 19 Jun 2020 07:43:19
Yes i heard that also The Stuck and i totally agree with your post fauldhoose bear! 👍.

6.) 19 Jun 2020 07:45:23
Patience stiv65.Its a great thing we're building for the future and i'm quite sure the game changing signings will come mate!

7.) 19 Jun 2020 08:50:37
Yes stuck, I have written that here before. There was a fallout linked to candaeas and Barker.

8.) 19 Jun 2020 08:55:37
the window isn't even open yet, have a little patience.

9.) 19 Jun 2020 12:09:14
I’m not surprised if the fallout was over candeias/ barker, we have nt filled his position adequately since candeias left, he would have had his place back in the team back in no time. He has been missed.

10.) 19 Jun 2020 17:36:54
Coolly, not really missed as I say before we will not win league with players off his standard.

23 May 2020 21:25:58
Right guys been seeing posts last few days in regards to ferguson, docherty, halliday, cosgrove, dykes.

Saying they were all at ibrox and nobody is sold please name your starting 11 and see how many of the 5 mentioned actually make the starting 11.

Fauldhoose bear

1.) 23 May 2020 23:00:51
It’s a good question! Highlights the fact that they don’t improve the team as it stands which hands Celtic 10IAR. I would only include Ferguson in place of Kamara.

2.) 23 May 2020 23:47:21
Mcgregor
Tav
Barasic
Goldson
Katic
Arfield
Hagi
jack c
Kent
Cosgrove
Morelos.

3.) 24 May 2020 08:27:13
Magregor
Tav Barasic
Katic Helander

Jack

Aribo Arfeild Kent

Hagi

Morelos

Subs
Edmundson
Defoe
Ferguson
Dykes
McCrorie
Paterson
McCrorie (GK)

So I’d take Ferguson and Dykes on the cheep but they don’t improve the first team squad in my opinion.

4.) 24 May 2020 11:39:30
No davis or kamara.

5.) 24 May 2020 14:25:01
fauldhoose. davis is as good as finished. Kamara was one of our worst players this season. cost us games left right and centre. wouldn't have them in starting line up either. davis will be on the bench next season.

6.) 24 May 2020 14:52:03
I beg to differ paul. Kamara was brilliant 1st part of the season and there is a player there but seems to be the fans player to blame, goldson and tav cost us more games than anyone yet both undroppable.

7.) 24 May 2020 16:23:10
If we can secure a decent fee for Kamara I would be delighted to see him go. He played some good games pre January but he loses concentration too easily and given we don't have a midfield general I would like to think that we could find better if our Scouting is any good. We need winners and leaders. Kamara would probably be a good player in a Souness, Smith or Advocaat Team but he is currently surrounded by mediocrity and it shows.

8.) 24 May 2020 20:22:28
Terrible for losing the ball in key areas. lost game to hearts. got jack sent off v young boys. passes to braga players at ibrox more than he did he own players to name a few. Looks tidy on the ball when playinf well but my god when he makes a mistake there usually belters. Poss can't handle the pressure. Would be happy to see him leave.

9.) 24 May 2020 10:46:09
Chunky, our club will never win anything if we have to rely on tav and goldson, a pair of imposters, neither can header a ball, mate.

Why now guys is english league 1 so good? We signed 3 players from Wigan and everyone said 2 of them were rubbish and the other one should not be our captain according to some on here. We also signed 2 from accrington Stanley and that never turned out great either.

I feel sorry for the boy as he became the major target for the boo boys. The boy can play and has proved it many times. Goldson makes mistake after mistake same as tav but it's always kamara who gets the blame.

I mentioned this last week about players mouthing off about we would be champions if this and if that. Just keep quiet and we shall be champions if we finish with more points than them. C of ibrox your just as bad as people on here keep saying they are pish. They are the best in scotland until we can finish above them.

Huey. We have loses of almost 70 million in the last 8 years. We have been very lucky that people have been committed to the cause but I'm afraid that won't last forever. Shares shall become worthless if we keep converting loans into shares.

Guys I'm not getting this. So what is the difference getting the sheep 1st game or 11th game. We are away to celtic aberdeen hibs motherwell simply because we had all them at home 1st last season. That's the way it has worked ever since I can remember.
