Seeing a few bits and pieces about Ben Woodburn on loan from Liverpool.

Any thoughts?

1.) 13 Jan 2019 08:08:53
More like 20 mil mate
I wouldn’t even enter into negotiations with a club who’s initiall bid is below 15mill.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 13:15:35
Just noticed I replied to the wrong rumour haha
My reply was for stuartac’s comment about getting 10mill for el buffalo.

Anyone heard any rumours on us shipping any players out this window?

Wallace, Holt, Harrera, Dodoo, Hodson, Alnwick etc all out of contract in summer
McGregor is also out of contact so need to get him signed up for at least another season.

Rudden, Hardie and Docherty seem to have been successful loans so will be interesting to see if we put any more out

I think it might be worth Rossiter going out on loan until the end of the season to get more game time.

1.) 01 Jan 2019 13:30:41
Also need rid of Penna and Harerra.

2.) 01 Jan 2019 13:37:47
Atayki and Beerman both linked with Morton, Zak Rudden also been linked with a return from Falkirk before going back out on loan to - again- Morton. Appears the JJ connection will result in multiple loans.

3.) 01 Jan 2019 13:39:33
Don't think we need to worry about McGregor to be honest. With Davis in we do need players out and players that have a sell on value so we can continue to strengthen. Even if it's a load of 200k players leaving or 1 couple million someone will have to go in the next 7 month's.

4.) 01 Jan 2019 13:42:24
Harrera can go at end if season
The bigger problem will be Pena as he has another year on his contract and who is going to want him

We will either have to pay him off or give him a chance.

Given his behaviour you would imagine we would be able to tear up his contract or sack him.

5.) 01 Jan 2019 17:10:22
Defo get rid of some players especially pena and herrera who are stealing a wage.

6.) 01 Jan 2019 18:04:04
McGregor signed a 2 year deal in summer.

7.) 01 Jan 2019 18:59:37
Pena Herrera mcgregor holt dodoo Alnwick have contracts till summer 2020.

So glad that season is over
A lot of failures in the season
The biggest problems for me was our choice in leadership in Pedro and Murty
We all wanted them to succeed but they ended up a shambles and the team fell apart.

The biggest disappointment for me is the shocking attempt at defending for most of the season.
It's mental to think that we have actually scored three more goals than the unwashed this season and ended up so far behind on points .

Sort the defence, bring in more quality and add to that leadership in Gerrard and Mcallister and next season could be good.

Ps I wonder how many unbelievables I will get from the freak show tims who are on here instead of celebrating winning a league.

1.) 13 May 2018 19:23:04
Rangers finished nearly 40 points behind Celtic last season, This season only 12 points behind them. i'm suprised Rangers have closed that gap so quickly if i'm honest. I do agree that the defence needs work tho.

2.) 13 May 2018 20:58:43
The smaller gap is due to Celtic getting less points than last season, not us getting more. It's weird how they started playing so well under Murty and then went down hill. Nichols post match interview almost in my opinion stated that stuff was going wrong behind the scenes

3.) 13 May 2018 21:40:55
we’ve hardly closed the gap at all

we have 3 more points than last season. fact

the massive decrease in the gap is not down to us

4.) 13 May 2018 23:15:30
Agreed happy it's over. That Martin is one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. Be interesting to see who Gerrard brings in. Hopefully goes about his business quickly and we can have a crack at the europa league.

5.) 14 May 2018 08:57:07
Yeah, that's twice now JN has alluded to them scratching their heads with players performances.

Something in training not transferring onto the pitch? Murty and Pedro both used to say they're flying in training, only for a sh! t performance at the weekend.

6.) 14 May 2018 09:40:52
Fraser, i'm a bluenose and hit unbelievable because you seem to obsess over that button! 😂😂

06 May 2018 17:46:48
Does anyone know what time the press conference is tomorrow?

Really hope it's about investment and lots of it.

04 May 2018 17:42:00
Delighted with Gerrard and Mcallister coming in - could be a brilliant mix or talent and experience
Reading that Michael Beale has left Liverpool to join them as part of the back room team - he was assistant manager of São Paulo last season

Things coming together and looking ambitious- love it.

1.) 04 May 2018 19:05:52
Buzzing for the game tomorrow

2.) 04 May 2018 21:29:09
Same Smudge - can’t wait

3.) 05 May 2018 11:18:11
Wonder if Stevie G will be there and make a pitch appearance

What date does the transfer window open?
A big window this for us this one.

19 May 2019 13:02:52
Has anyone heard anything about a new contract for Alan McGregor?
I'm sure his contract runs out at the end of this season.

1.) 19 May 2019 13:09:39
It was a 2 year contract, runs till end next season.

2.) 19 May 2019 13:22:37
I stand corrected Ger78- great stuff
He’s been brilliant this season.

03 Jan 2019 16:07:30
Defo agreed - 18 month loan
Wonder how much we will be paying him.

20 May 2018 09:12:41
I'm really interested to see what individual improvements there will be this season
We all have our lists of players that really need to go (I think my list was about 15 players)
The fact we need to remember is that this squad poor as it is was also playing under very poor leadership

How many times have you seen players turn things round under a new manager

Undoubtedly some just don't have what it takes and need to go but I can also see some turning it round

Some quality signings along with improvement in individuals and strong leadership and things will be a lot better.

13 May 2018 14:29:47
I hope that game becomes a blessing in disguise as it's some of the worst defending I've seen.
It has really showed how weak we are in defence and that it's the first place we need to recruit for
I would rather Charles Green at centre half next season that Russel Martin.

1.) 13 May 2018 14:37:54
Hope his flight is booked tonight back to Norwich. Shocking. As for Tav. He was so slow going with his man for there last goal. Hope SG watched this and saw the shower of a defence, at least rossiter played and showed glimpses of the player he will be.

2.) 13 May 2018 14:41:00
Totally agree Fraser52. I don't normally like to criticise our players but i can't control myself. Has anyone seen Russell Martin have a decent game for Rangers? Our defence has been the weakest link for many a season. McCoist, Warburton and Pedro have failed to sort it out. All eyes are on you Mr Gerrard.

3.) 13 May 2018 14:42:52
Can't believe Martin has never been dropped he has been shocking for weeks

4.) 13 May 2018 14:50:24
Martin, Bates, Halliday and Tavernier just can’t defend. Hodson is not good enough and Alves only good in the air. Utter shambles in defence all season and no one has sorted it out

5.) 13 May 2018 15:17:08
Agree ArturD Tav simply can't defend. Get a defender first and foremostn

6.) 13 May 2018 15:17:18
ArthurD, been a shambles in defence since we went to the bottom league, (when it should have been sorted) and its been the same ever since!

I don’t think McGennis for one moment will be looked upon as our main striker but I can see why he would be a decent back up and would also give a different option in games

I also think if Morelos leaves we will need a better option though.

With a bit of luck whoever get the tims job will be about to get his transfer budget slashed by about £100 million.

A good player if fit
If we do sign him I would loan him out until jan at least to see how his fitness gets on as I don’t see him in our midfield at the moment.

He had a great start to the season but would much rather we took some of the youth team through instead.

I never thought Holt leaving was in any doubt to be honest.
I think he will be one of quite a few fringe player that will leave - Wallace, Holt, Worrall, Alnwick, Dodoo, Lafferty, Harerra, Coulibaly etc etc will probably all leave in my opinion.
Really interested to see if hat happens next for Docherty, Rossiter, Hardie and Rudden as their loans look to have been quite successful.

It’s horrible to see but from Personel experience there is always hope for him.
My old man was in that state if not worse and he managed to turn it around and is now over 20 years sober.
He swears by AA - says nothing else worked for him until he fully embraced AA
I hope he manages to turn things around for himself - hard to watch.

There seems to be a desperation to stop us returning to the top of the game in Scotland
It’s going to be f*cking glorious when we win 55 (hopefully in the next two season)
I’m going to take days off after just to enjoy the meltdown

Sutton and Stewart are going to be worth a watch when it happens 😂😂🇬🇧🇬🇧.

I don’t have a problem with it being upgraded to a red - in my opinion he should have hit him a lot harder but it’s probably a red so I’m fine with that.
I do however have a problem that others get away with it.
Buchmann got his rescinded and there was not difference between them
Brown gets away with it all the time
There was another elbow on Sunday and nothing said
Farcical organisation.

Gary Stevens for me
Great defender
I think Tav is better at going forward but Stevens was a better defender
The game has changed a fair bit as well so that needs to be taken into consideration I suppose.
