So glad that season is over
A lot of failures in the season
The biggest problems for me was our choice in leadership in Pedro and Murty
We all wanted them to succeed but they ended up a shambles and the team fell apart.

The biggest disappointment for me is the shocking attempt at defending for most of the season.
It's mental to think that we have actually scored three more goals than the unwashed this season and ended up so far behind on points .

Sort the defence, bring in more quality and add to that leadership in Gerrard and Mcallister and next season could be good.

Ps I wonder how many unbelievables I will get from the freak show tims who are on here instead of celebrating winning a league.

1.) 13 May 2018 19:23:04
Rangers finished nearly 40 points behind Celtic last season, This season only 12 points behind them. i'm suprised Rangers have closed that gap so quickly if i'm honest. I do agree that the defence needs work tho.

2.) 13 May 2018 20:58:43
The smaller gap is due to Celtic getting less points than last season, not us getting more. It's weird how they started playing so well under Murty and then went down hill. Nichols post match interview almost in my opinion stated that stuff was going wrong behind the scenes

3.) 13 May 2018 21:40:55
we’ve hardly closed the gap at all

we have 3 more points than last season. fact

the massive decrease in the gap is not down to us

4.) 13 May 2018 23:15:30
Agreed happy it's over. That Martin is one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. Be interesting to see who Gerrard brings in. Hopefully goes about his business quickly and we can have a crack at the europa league.

5.) 14 May 2018 08:57:07
Yeah, that's twice now JN has alluded to them scratching their heads with players performances.

Something in training not transferring onto the pitch? Murty and Pedro both used to say they're flying in training, only for a sh! t performance at the weekend.

6.) 14 May 2018 09:40:52
Fraser, i'm a bluenose and hit unbelievable because you seem to obsess over that button! 😂😂

06 May 2018 17:46:48
Does anyone know what time the press conference is tomorrow?

Really hope it's about investment and lots of it.

04 May 2018 17:42:00
Delighted with Gerrard and Mcallister coming in - could be a brilliant mix or talent and experience
Reading that Michael Beale has left Liverpool to join them as part of the back room team - he was assistant manager of São Paulo last season

Things coming together and looking ambitious- love it.

1.) 04 May 2018 19:05:52
Buzzing for the game tomorrow

2.) 04 May 2018 21:29:09
Same Smudge - can’t wait

3.) 05 May 2018 11:18:11
Wonder if Stevie G will be there and make a pitch appearance

28 Jan 2017 18:27:21
Anyone heard anything about us putting in a bid for Omar Bogle?

1.) 28 Jan 2017 19:02:20
Bogles the mind mate

2.) 28 Jan 2017 19:47:49
Not heard nothing but we won't get him, read somewhere that they had rejected an 800,000 bid from someone, we won't be spending that much

3.) 28 Jan 2017 20:20:16
If we pay it a tenner a week sure we might get it done

4.) 28 Jan 2017 21:01:26
No mention by the media that we are remotely interested in signing Omar Bogle

5.) 29 Jan 2017 11:09:43
I saw a lot on twitter about it that's all - nothing more concrete than that
Just wondered if anyone had heard anything

I'm really interested to see what individual improvements there will be this season
We all have our lists of players that really need to go (I think my list was about 15 players)
The fact we need to remember is that this squad poor as it is was also playing under very poor leadership

How many times have you seen players turn things round under a new manager

Undoubtedly some just don't have what it takes and need to go but I can also see some turning it round

Some quality signings along with improvement in individuals and strong leadership and things will be a lot better.

13 May 2018 14:29:47
I hope that game becomes a blessing in disguise as it's some of the worst defending I've seen.
It has really showed how weak we are in defence and that it's the first place we need to recruit for
I would rather Charles Green at centre half next season that Russel Martin.

1.) 13 May 2018 14:37:54
Hope his flight is booked tonight back to Norwich. Shocking. As for Tav. He was so slow going with his man for there last goal. Hope SG watched this and saw the shower of a defence, at least rossiter played and showed glimpses of the player he will be.

2.) 13 May 2018 14:41:00
Totally agree Fraser52. I don't normally like to criticise our players but i can't control myself. Has anyone seen Russell Martin have a decent game for Rangers? Our defence has been the weakest link for many a season. McCoist, Warburton and Pedro have failed to sort it out. All eyes are on you Mr Gerrard.

3.) 13 May 2018 14:42:52
Can't believe Martin has never been dropped he has been shocking for weeks

4.) 13 May 2018 14:50:24
Martin, Bates, Halliday and Tavernier just can’t defend. Hodson is not good enough and Alves only good in the air. Utter shambles in defence all season and no one has sorted it out

5.) 13 May 2018 15:17:08
Agree ArturD Tav simply can't defend. Get a defender first and foremostn

6.) 13 May 2018 15:17:18
ArthurD, been a shambles in defence since we went to the bottom league, (when it should have been sorted) and its been the same ever since!

13 May 2018 13:27:08
I would give all my savings, my house and car for Cummings to get the winner here then go and do a grado style slam on Lennon.

02 May 2018 12:09:42
This lack of communication from the club just now could will turn out to be genius or a shambles
If we are to get a good manager and decent investment then the lack of communication has opened everyone's eyes to the press bias in Scotland (everyone should already know this of course) as they have all been having a real dig
This is the outcome I am clearly wanting
The other outcome however could show a real mess.

30 Apr 2018 12:19:33
I'm not sure what is worse
The complete silence from the club or the inevitable shambles of a statement that will most likely cause even more embarrassment
There's a lot of talk about what players should leave
For me one of the first out the door should be Traynor and his media shambles.

1.) 30 Apr 2018 12:46:00
I thought Traynor left the club a few years ago?

2.) 30 Apr 2018 12:46:33
There is a social media black out by Rangers that disgusts me. WIN, LOSE OR DRAW you do it with DIGNITY and HUMILITY. If that means you come out and accept you were beat by the far superior team then so be it. To not speak to the Media after yesterday’s horror show is completely unacceptable and behaviour I don’t want associated with our Institution. GROW UP AND STOP ACTING LIKE KIDS AND LEAD THE CLUB WITH STANDARDS BEFITTING AND COURAGE OR **** OFF.

3.) 30 Apr 2018 16:48:21
Par for the course with this board. Every other club find us a laughing stock with all the crap ando ridiculous statements and decisions from inside our boardroom.

Tell anyone that comes in for him to GTF this season
If he has a full season growning in confidence like he is so far he will be worth megabucks.

I’m really not up for McCormack
From the outside it looks like money has gone to his head and he’s a proper ahole - not turning up for training and all that sort of stuff

We need team players not billy big shot aholes.

I’m delighted with our business so far and really trust this management team
The only one that I’m not sure about so far is Sadiq - he sometimes looked like a two legged Giraffe on acid.

Looking good so far though chaps.

Really pleased with the progress we have made so far. Defence looks solid and I think we are growing in confidence going forward.

I can hardly remember us scoring any headed goals last season and that’s now 5 in the last three games (I think)

We are a much stronger team in the air as well as confident on the ground.

I like our strength in midfield and like most can’t wait for Lego to go flying about in the old form games this year.

I think he would be better than a few on our squad but i don't think he’s good enough to help us challenge.
He would add to the depth of the squad but i wouidnt get too excited about it if it happened

I would be delighted if we managed to get these players.
I think we can make a challenge this season - I would like to add Cooper from Millwall as well
If we had been more consistent we could be a good few points ahead already
My only worry is that the tims will spend a lot in January
My hope is that they spend big and make an arse of it
Rodgers does like to sign the odd flop.

{Ed001's Note - Cooper has just signed a new contract with Millwall.}

It’s an absolute joke.
They should be concentrating on trying to get some level of consistency in refereeing decisions instead of having a hissy fit because a club has called them out for being a shambles.

The only exact same thing happened a week or so later in another game and no action taken.

Different decisions by different referees just makes the game in Scotland look a shambles.

It’s their responsibility to deal with an incompetent referee but instead they somehow manage to make themselves look even more incompetent.

I’ve struggled with this one as well
I wanted rid badly but he’s turned a corner

I hope would still pick Coubally over him for Sunday with the instructions for smashing Lego all over the place.

I was going off my nut when we had them both sent off - I thought typical to fall at the last hurdle.
It now looks like it was just what we needed in terms of our defensive mentality after the Motherwell game.

What a journey it’s been
I still have to pinch myself to think that we have Gerrard as manager as well - he’s been brilliant so far

I wasn’t sure about Mark Allen when he came in but so far it looks like a great example of where a director of football works

I’m going to go mental if we can do the business on Sunday.

He’s growing in confidence and clearly learning
Was really pleased with Middleton when he’s came on tonight as well

Annoyed we couldn’t break them down for more than one goal.
