Hearts source says £500k should be close re what he's heard with regards to Lafferty deal.

G Unit

1.) 01 Aug 2018 14:19:49
The fact that Laff went into the meeting and left without submitting a formal transfer request suggests that they will probably drop his valuation and accept a bid, i get the feeling if laff or his agent didn't like what they were hearing they would have submitted and dug their heels.

2.) 01 Aug 2018 14:24:36
Just read that Hearts are willing to let him go for around 600k. The club aren't rushing to up their bid, let's face it. The guy would be back up, so the club are right not to be rushing in with a new bid. Hearts will do business for 400k in a week or 2, they need the money.

3.) 01 Aug 2018 15:19:15
Pay about 600k for Kyle I honestly believe he is far better option than waggy at 7 million. Saggy sell on covers Kyle fee. Be interesting to see what wagged wage will be when he moves. I bet higher than anyone at old firm.

4.) 01 Aug 2018 18:38:05
l think Rangers are doing the right thing with there bids .
Because l would want to give any club in Scotland nothing f**k them
they have done it to us for years.

5.) 01 Aug 2018 18:50:30
I actually have a lot of time for Hearts we've always had a good relationship with them.

6.) 01 Aug 2018 21:23:11
No we don’t have a good relationship with hearts.

They hate us with a passion. I remember my first visit to tynecastle. I thought Edinburgh proddies are alright but boy was I wrong. That was 20 years ago.

Where were our pals from the east when Scottish football pumped us?

7.) 01 Aug 2018 21:29:36
Remind me how they voted in 2012 STB2012 mate?

8.) 01 Aug 2018 21:46:07
Break the bank and sign him
Say £200?

9.) 01 Aug 2018 22:40:09
They hate us like the rest and tryed tae destroy us like the rest and there manager doesn't like us either. I don't like us giving Scottish clubs our money.

10.) 02 Aug 2018 00:24:05
Island Celt.

You’ve a cheek to joke about funds.

Your club has spent next to nothing, before you mention Edouard, bought for 8m and only bid once Armstrong was sold for 7m.

You’ve loaned Patrick Roberts for 3 years straight and now there is talk of a 4th year in a row? What an absolute embarrassment 😂😂 imagine loaning a player for 4 years. Absolute cringe.

Your club has always had a biscuit tin mentality and it always will. Only reason you’re this far ahead of because of our clubs financial mismanagement.

11.) 02 Aug 2018 01:26:08
Lafferty is valued at £750k by Hearts, we value him at £200k due to contract situation.
I believe a deal will be agreed around £400k with £100k add ons or Lee Wallace as a make weight.
This is just my opinion though unfortunately, I think the Strip sale set back won’t have helped but if we can book place in 3rd qualifying round coupled with potential Waggy cash I’m sure we will get this over the line.

12.) 02 Aug 2018 07:23:14
I can't see Wallace going to hearts he's on too much money say 15 grand most hearts would pay is about 3 grand.

13.) 02 Aug 2018 08:42:36
Agree. I feel Wallace will cost us a payoff in full particularly due to his dispute with us.

30 Jul 2018 14:48:56
Fabio Cardosos contract has been terminated. On club website. Looks like we are clearing the wage bill and cutting our losses.

G Unit

1.) 30 Jul 2018 15:54:54
I can’t believe we couldn’t get something for a guy his age after paying £1.5mill for him. One thing that lot across he city are good at is getting money for players no matter how good or bad they are. We just constantly cut our losses.

2.) 30 Jul 2018 16:02:06
we are very short in that area. I would have kept him.

3.) 30 Jul 2018 16:44:12
Cardoso was absolutely dreadful that's why we have cut our losses . No way would I have kept him under any circumstances. He wasn't even good enough to get a fee, nobody would pay for him.

4.) 30 Jul 2018 16:52:50
I don't no how the directors make their money th y keep selling the players on the cheap. and now I hear they have agreed to give Ashley the tops to sell I can't believe it.

5.) 30 Jul 2018 18:25:02
Ashley had a clause in the contract that if they match the contract then they get it. So this will be a lot more favourable towards rangers.

6.) 30 Jul 2018 18:54:54
Why are we not at least selling these players for free with a decent sell on clause in case they come good. No point just releasing them just wastes money we could badly use.

7.) 30 Jul 2018 19:22:14
Just been announced he has signed four year deal in Portugal.

8.) 31 Jul 2018 00:19:58
To me it’s seems like Cardoso lost his bottle after his broken nose against Motherwell - he looks like a poser and wasn’t confident after that, word got out he’s a bottle bag and nobody was willing to pay a fee! That’s why Gerrard would never have played him, no heart!

9.) 31 Jul 2018 09:09:06
By releasing them we save instant money on wages.

10.) 31 Jul 2018 09:58:46
Agree mols all depends what is negotiated re exit deal.

11.) 31 Jul 2018 10:05:35
He is still young and known as quiet a good young talent back in Portugal we could of got at least 300,000 or so for him with a sell on clause think it's ridiculous how we just keep letting players go by paying them off.

12.) 31 Jul 2018 11:27:33
Whats ridiculous deanobear is that we actually paid money to get these clowns in the first place. Did we get any offers for cardoso? No! Why? Because he is useless. We couldn't get 300k for him because no one would pay it. that's why it was mutual termination, please try and understand this. As for a sell on clause, you're joking surely lol.

13.) 31 Jul 2018 16:16:05
Don't you think it is strange that 12hours after cardoso leaves he signs a four year deal.

14.) 31 Jul 2018 17:56:47
Ralph ten he knew he had a deal and club would not pay a fee hence negotiate a free.

15.) 31 Jul 2018 19:18:11
Ralph10 nothing at all strange about it. His agent lined up a club for him, Rangers freed him with no compensation, he gets a signing on fee, we free up his wage, satisfactory outcome. That's the way it works.

16.) 01 Aug 2018 10:58:22
Spot on dutycalls👍.

17.) 01 Aug 2018 13:32:19
Duty calls IoM says he got a million guys like u and I can't understand people don't leave on a free.

23 Jul 2018 08:04:58
Fellow bears we are on the rise. 12 points last season. Stevie Gee this season. 2 old firm wins would have won us the league. We were dire. This Season we have quality and momentum. 8/1 is the biggest over-price I've seen in years. We are on a mission from god. Bring in Solanke and we are close. Let the good times roll 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

G Unit

1.) 23 Jul 2018 08:21:01
2 old firm game wins would not have won us the league. Celtic took their foot of the gas and gave away 7 points to teams that really effected our position.

2.) 23 Jul 2018 09:58:46
Good post G Unit, good to see some positivity.

I hope that Gerrard makes us hard to beat first and foremost, I don't know about you but i'd much rather be bored to death and battle in Old Firm games rather than take the hidings we've been getting the last few years.

Time to take a leaf our of Watty's book: grafters, battlers and good defenders.

The flair players can be used against the right opponents. Far too long have we been bullied by teams in our league.

3.) 23 Jul 2018 10:31:55
Agree fiftytint we need to hit 90points to challenge I feel.

4.) 24 Jul 2018 00:39:45
Like the positivity G Unit, but 2 wins against Celtic and we would’ve won the league? Did u watch the games against THEM last year? I was at them and we were a million miles behind them- we couldn’t get close, we couldn’t beat them once last year let alone twice! All if, buts and mibyes no! Think if we all get behind the team and Gerrard we’ll be much closer this year- do agree! WE NEED SOLANKE.

5.) 24 Jul 2018 08:34:41
Well written bear mode. U don’t lose games if u don’t concede.

6.) 24 Jul 2018 12:11:49
Let's all calm down I can't see us winning the league this year We need to start heading towards a settled team two or three in and out each season not this new team every other year then they need to settle and this all takes time, let get behind every player in a Rangers jersey start building confidence not heel pressure on them and see what happens we need to catch Aberdeen first then look across the city but Rome wasn't built in a day.

7.) 24 Jul 2018 12:13:30
2 old firm wins would have won us the league.

8.) 24 Jul 2018 12:15:31
The Nacho Novo brigade are back I see.

9.) 24 Jul 2018 12:22:57
Did Souness not sign one of the Weah family for S'ton on the say so of George Weah? Turned out he had never played and was subbed after 10 mins.
Maybe there is an inexhaustible supply of them and we will get the third cousin twice removed if we don't watch.

10 Jul 2018 11:35:52
Bruno Alves contract has now been torn up with ourselves. Doubt by mutual consent, but probably for a fee. Hey-ho that's showbiz. Met the big man in Ikea (He wasn't that big) and he was very pleasant and calm. Wish him all the best at the end of his career. No hard feelings and all the best. Please no negative put down comments against him lads. No room for negativity and haters any more. Be positive- this is the SG revolution. Let's Go!

any news on Cummings latest I herd down south there a deal for foderingham in partexchange?

2.) 10 Jul 2018 12:45:08
Cummings isn’t good enough PERIOD! And I’d want Cummings plus £5 million for FODS

3.) 10 Jul 2018 14:39:24
all the best to Bruno. Terrific pro.

06 Jul 2018 23:03:14
My observations from Ibrox tonight were that Katic is a machine who will stroll it in SPL and Middleton is first team material without a doubt. He ain't no kid-well built and rapid. Never seen much of pelter as he wasn't troubled much but we know how good he is already. A good, forward performance tonight in my new seats G1 Loyal. 10/ 10 for optimism but I will admit that we need options up front and something different in midfield if we're going for 55.

G Unit

1.) 07 Jul 2018 07:40:17
Agree 100%. Most impressive and to see so many youngsters on the bench bodes well for the future. Definitely need other options in midfield and attack and hopefully Rossiter will soon be fit to compete for a midfield place as well.

2.) 07 Jul 2018 07:56:09
Worth the 5er I spent on Rangers TV that was entertainment and Katics goal was brilliant nothing special just hits it on target away from the Goallie and it's in feel Windass should have scored if he put his laces through his shot but it was promising to see him get I to those positions Arfield is a fantastic signing bossing that midfield 3 pushing McCrorie forward saying I've got this covered loved every minut3 of it

3.) 07 Jul 2018 08:14:07
Katic machine? Must not have been watching the same game as me then, if anything Goldson is the machine, he was head and shoulders above everyone else and imo is captain material, agree with Middleton though he should be first team this season some great balls he was putting in

4.) 07 Jul 2018 08:49:26
Noticed goldson was doing all the shouting. a think he would be a good captain. sorry Tav but imo your no captain material

5.) 07 Jul 2018 08:59:55
Katic will find this league easy mate. Mark my words. Guys got a proper engine/ physique to boot. Top scouting.

6.) 07 Jul 2018 09:03:48
its a friendly against bury lads great to see these players get off to good starts but i will be keeping my judgement until we've played aberdeen away which is a proper test too many false dawns last few years

7.) 07 Jul 2018 09:14:56
I agree with tgr, goldson was the best player on the park followed by arfield. Goldson will be the one Katic learns from, he was commanding and never looked once like allowing bury a sniff of a chance looked epl quality imo

8.) 07 Jul 2018 09:30:46
great display from the bears bury were terrible but you can only beat what is put in front of you looked a lot more energy on the park than last season and glad morelos got a goal but we definently need a couple of new strikers as the dury is still out on morelos but definitely looking much better at the back

9.) 07 Jul 2018 09:41:07
I really don’t know where your getting this from tbh, is it just cause he's tall? Few times he was out jumped by a smaller player, where as Goldson won every ball in the air and ground and never put a foot wrong, also controlled the game to perfection

10.) 07 Jul 2018 10:24:32
TGR, I was also at the game last night, Goldson was immense but Katic was also very good, big and strong he won a few tackles and has plenty of pace, they will forma solid partnership, give the lad a bit of support instead of behaving like a schoolboy in the playground saying "my favourite player is better than your favourite player ", let's go

11.) 07 Jul 2018 10:44:45
Cant believe some folks are having digs at players already.

12.) 07 Jul 2018 10:47:38
@jetmayfair I’m in full support of Katic. It’s not a case of my favourite player is better than yours, I’m just curious to know where G Unit is getting his opinion from as I saw different, how about letting people have an opinion without telling people what to do?

13.) 07 Jul 2018 11:38:24
It was a good performance but we should never read too much into any friendly game. Primarily about getting the team fit and used to playing with each other. The Aberdeen game is where we'll really see what we're made of.

14.) 07 Jul 2018 11:44:44
What I liked was the our defenders looked fast for the first time in years. Arfield looked good and what we have been needing and liked the look of Flanagan who was putting himself about. Think by the looks of it there’s been some great business completed already. Very excited for this season!

15.) 07 Jul 2018 11:58:36
Bury are an English League 2 team who could probably beat the Mickey Mouse team that knocked us out of the Europa League last season so 6-0 against any team isn't bad! However, I agree the real test is almost upon us and a convincing result next week in the EL qualifier is essential and beat the Sheep in our opening league game and I'll start to believe. Happy days are here again I think.

16.) 07 Jul 2018 13:00:16
Tgr u just said it pal its his opinion and i also think katic strolled the game always shouted for the ball never panicked or gave the ball away he's also really quick for a guy his size so me aswell as a shedload of other fans at ibrox obviously except u were impressed with the big man plus he's only 21

17.) 07 Jul 2018 14:11:40
Firstly i'll state that our new centre half connor goldson, is not rio ferdinand, but his style of centre half play, is of a very similar style, to ferdinand! Ferdinandesque if you like. Does any other bear see these same similarities, that i've stated?

18.) 07 Jul 2018 14:33:32
TGR I train Territorial Army soldiers to help my country mate so I know what an athlete is when I see it. Keep it cool buddy we are all in the same team. Q11

19.) 07 Jul 2018 15:23:50
I never said I wasn’t impressed? I think he will be a decent enough defender I just don’t think he’s a machine like what was said in the oringial post.

20.) 07 Jul 2018 15:35:40
Well said Southend Rangers, we haven't even played a competitive game yet and already we have some people having a dig at players, wait until the team have had a good run of games, let's go

21.) 07 Jul 2018 15:52:41
Where is the champions league final in 2020? I'm trying to keep a lid on it but I'm just wanting to book a hotel just incase.

22.) 07 Jul 2018 16:12:38
Although it was only a pre season friendly win over Bury there was plenty of positives in the display.

23.) 07 Jul 2018 16:11:15
I was at match also and there was a moment I noticed bury player skipping past Goldson only for Katic to block the shot with a cracking block! Was actually wondering why Goldson didn’t make a tackle?

Just on to say that if Wallace goes then it's a real shame. The guy deserves to get that winners medal around his neck and be a unique ranger. He's one of our own and Gerrard may just be jumping the gun with him if he's to be chopped. Behind you mate.

G Unit

1.) 31 Jul 2018 10:57:15
G Unit, Gerrard has said publicly on two occasions that he wants a fit Le Wallace somewhere in the squad, also called him a fantastic player.

However, he is actually taking legal action against the club, which I have no real issue with btw - he's within his rights. But I think his time at Rangers is done.

2.) 31 Jul 2018 12:07:01
Wow it would be amazing getting cooper.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 14:07:54
I don't know Wallace personally and no one knows exactly what happened that day for all we know Wallace could have been bang out of order but until someone speaks publicly it will just be speculation. I'd like to see him back in our team in some capacity due to his service and commitment to our club but that doesn't give you free reign to do or say as you please, if indeed anything of the sort occurred.

4.) 31 Jul 2018 15:30:52
Looking for a left sided centre half. Dare I say converting an ageing full back into a centre half may be the answer?

5.) 01 Aug 2018 13:20:36
Know that bud. Referring to the potential swap with Lafferty.

Our undoubted national interest would certainly ensure national media coverage instead of Sheep V Burnley tonight. I think a successful Rangers in Europe over coming seasons with SG at helm is a brilliant starter to be taken seriously in any league.

20 Jul 2018 22:35:21
I'm not Morelos' biggest fan and I do think if we get offered any kind of real money we should cash in but.

1. We have to remember that this is basically pre-season.

2. That he's probably a number 10 doing a 9 and 10's job.

3. That the lad is young and doesn't speak much English so must feel a bit isolated.

4. That he's doing it all on his own.

Don't jump on the lad just yet. It's what the mediaphiles want us to do.

Join the revolution. we'll need the backing if we're up against the Croatians next as they're a proper team. Never mind Aberdeen.

G Unit

Why don't we bid £1m or so for Ross McCormack and offer him about £20k per week? . Villa desperate to offload him as he's on £40k a week and they are being pressured by the bank. Good business and straight into the first team. He must be up for a move like that to get playing again.

G Unit

1.) 17 Jul 2018 10:30:53
Because he’s a lazy waste of space?

2.) 17 Jul 2018 10:39:51
If we offered him 20k a week he'd want a 3 year contract. Otherwise it's not worth his while leaving a 40k a week deal. He'll be 32 in 3 weeks and has had his attitude critised everywhere he's been. No thanks

Been a while since my last post. Feels like an age. Missed the banter. Just to say that anyone who has watched Rangers this season knows that El Buffalo is our best player by a mile when on song and he’s becoming more consistent. If he’s playing in the championship or EPL he’d be automatically worth over £20m. Timposters are the only ones implying we should sell him imo.

Id rather keep the buffalo but if we must sell my number is £11.5m. That’s a cool £10m profit for a year or so . We could pull a few moves with that kind of dosh but I’d be sad to see him go.

Trick is to insert an option to purchase even if it’s too much then this can be renegotiated as the contract runs down. It’s obviously better low if possible but this isn’t always the case.

Sutton is clearly twitching that we might end up with a proven old firm goal scorer. A good sign if ever I saw one. Sign him up pronto. Come home big man. I remember the time that I missed your opener at Killie to win us the league. Never have lived that one down.

Never mind when Naismith scored the second I rode a copper down the stand like sea biscuit. That one always remedies the slagging. Good job the copper was one of our own or I was celebrating in the cells. True story.
