Gdawg

Dads army

2.) 31 Jan 2017 21:14:28
Don't think its worth the risk, Berbatov would prob want a high wage and at 36 dunno how his fitness is? Not seen him play in ages. I know Miller is 37 BUT think if we had finances available for a Berbatov deal we should use it on Gilmour! tie the lad up on contract by offering him somethin close to what Chelsea are, as if he does develop into what coaches think he will then we would be making a sound financial decision. Even if we sold Billy 2yrs down line for anything more than 1m surely we would be gaining financially! Its a gamble Bears but think its one worth taking

3.) 01 Feb 2017 13:31:33
Good player but his temperament is suspect I hear. That's all we need - disruptive influences. Remember Joey

4.) 01 Feb 2017 16:04:10
Seeker - Look at Joey now. MOTM last night

Maybe Joey wasn't the issue and the managements lack of man management skills (something that Dyche clearly has) was the issue in this case?

if the new keeper is the only player we spend money on in this transfer window you have to see the irony in spending money on a back up for arguable our best player and strongest position

Gdawg

1.) 31 Jan 2017 20:37:46
Gilks wanted away so they got a new keeper in to allow him to go rather than keep a player who was unhappy with his role a really don't see the problem

2.) 31 Jan 2017 22:26:05
He's only recently found enough form to be classed as one of our best players and that was probably down to Gilks breathing down his neck. He's gone and a new, younger model takes over the job of keeping up the standards that real competition brings. A good move.

17 Jan 2017 16:54:04
i keep seeing fans say its not the defence that's bad its the midfield not offering enough protection or the strikers aren't converting enough chances etc for me the problem is the players we have can't do the basics i also doubt our players intelligence or common sense the amount of times we have came unstuck from playing from the back is unreal, our defenders don't pick up or track properly, our midfield are neither good going forward or good at defending, and our strikers/ wide players are incompetent at crossing or finishing, warbs uses the term 'using the squad' why hasn't dodoo been giving a run or o'halloaran through the middle is a mystery to me, i genuinely think we will struggle for 2nd this year

Gdawg

1.) 18 Jan 2017 20:00:36
Agree with most of that Gdawg, its unbelievable how some players can't do the basic things I. E like forrester not passing to dodoo against them, that doesn't take a £10m player to b able to do that, its just common sense. i think there's faults thru the full team not just the defence or midfield

hello bears this isn't a knee jerk reaction but a feeling I've had for a while there's got to something a miss in training yet again another game where we've been highly incompetent in front of goal, typical stats that read 65% possession 18 shots on goal 8 on target 1 goal nearly every team we play have 1 or 2 chances and put it in the net i can't remember ever seeing a team so poor at finishing or such a poor end product than us you've got to wonder what we do in training all week, and to think hardie wasn't good enough to be giving a chance.

Gdawg

1.) 26 Oct 2016 22:10:03
another thing how many times have we giving a team a head start this season? we don't seem to learn from mistakes or improving in front of goal its going to be a long season.

2.) 26 Oct 2016 22:10:28
I'm surprised at the stats because we never looked like scoring. Devoid of any shape, tactics or ideas. Now worried about manager and season.

3.) 26 Oct 2016 22:17:57
Until mark warburton changes his tactics nothing will change, poor tonight every team knows the way we play, 442.

4.) 26 Oct 2016 22:20:43
Just back from the match and now firmly believe that it should be taxi for Warburton time. Drops Tavernier but plays Wallace. Midfield of Halliday and Holt nowhere near good or crafty enough, if the ball wasn't going sideways then it was being passed backwards. This continuous blindside to play 4,3,3 system using players who, at best, can only kick the ball with their favoured foot simply cannot work and is so predictable. St. Johnstone created more than enough chances in the second half to win the game and we were lucky to scrape one point. Like most fans I gave MW backing but if he honestly believes there is no real gap between Rangers and that lot from the eastend then he is deluded.

5.) 27 Oct 2016 00:30:08
Mcc the knife, we don't play a 4-4-2 mate!

6.) 27 Oct 2016 05:40:38
Think he meant we should change to 442 supercooper.

7.) 27 Oct 2016 06:24:58
Supercooper11 that's what I mean let's play 442 and stop this playing out from the back all the time.

14 Sep 2016 18:54:47
evening bears, just reading warburtons latest comments in build up to ross county, various comments on rangers not playing as rangers, performance etc not what's expected but no mention of stopping glaring defensive errors is he in denial about our defence or even worse think the defensive mistakes are no big deal as long as we do it in final third that's the way it seems, I'm more worried if that's the case.

Gdawg

1.) 14 Sep 2016 19:09:13
Just don't think he wants to leave the defence to hang out to dry. if there's arses to be kicked do it in house not in front of the baying media.

2.) 14 Sep 2016 23:11:38
Gdb bag your defence is? Please tell me.

11 Sep 2016 12:11:08
how about this revolutionary idea. why don't we get behind the team, back the manager back the players we've signed were 5 games into the season do you not think celtic will slip up, too many doom and gloom merchants on here we have a lot of new players still getting used to each other, we will come good 100% I'm confident we will either win league or a close second, the so called supporters out there saying we will be lucky to get second spot and could be mid table get a grip of urself u aren't rangers supporters!

Gdawg

1.) 11 Sep 2016 12:20:20
Aye maybe Wilson and Kiernan will finally gel after 14 months. If you think we are going to catch up with Celtic this season you're having a laugh.

2.) 11 Sep 2016 12:21:04
Unless Hearts and Aberdeen are inept this season, we will have a tough time getting second. Yes, the team has failed to gel and need to get a grip soon, but I don't see how you can be so positive with what has been on show so far. We were shown up by an improving, but still average at best, Celtic team, that was the most embarrassing thing.

3.) 11 Sep 2016 12:48:17
Yesterday i will admit i was a jt harsh but after tht defeat can you blame people. No one wants to have a go at the players and staff we wanty support our club but how can you not be pi**ed off about that performance yesterday. But let's dust were selves dwn take it on the chin get back up and have a right good gp again and back the team and hope they come good and gel like we keep sayin.

4.) 11 Sep 2016 12:19:39
You still drunk? Win the league!
It's not the championship anymore.

5.) 11 Sep 2016 13:04:01
the reason I'm so positive mate is celtic aren't nearly as good as people think, since brenda has come in he's had everything go his way, let's not kid ourselves celtic have been jammy as anything getting to champs league, also lucky to beat hearts away and st johnstone nearly came from behind to grab point, the honeymoon period will end mark my words I'm predicting the honeymoon period will end with clear Barcelona thrashing them on tues then its a tough trip to inverness let's see how they get on then.

6.) 11 Sep 2016 13:10:06
Even after a heavy defeat some people still aren't in touch with reality.

7.) 11 Sep 2016 13:27:52
please enlighten me to "reality" 5 games into a season with 1 defeat away to celtic.

8.) 11 Sep 2016 13:33:36
They shall get pumped in Europe and I don't even think celtic supporters are expecting anything else. You say the have been lucky, that's them played last season's top 3 and rangers with 12 points out of 12.
They shall be lucky to lose 2 games in the league.

9.) 11 Sep 2016 13:48:39
lucky to lose 2 games all season and your asking if I'm still drunk lol like i said everythings going there way as typically does when a new manager takes over but that will soon end.

10.) 11 Sep 2016 14:31:32
Guys, Celtic fan here. I'm not here to gloat or wind up. You got beat, heavily, there is a gulf between the teams but there is a gulf between Celtic and everyone this season. You guys shouldn't be worrying about Celtic. Yes Hearts and St J were tough games for us, they should be but we won. IMO that's where you should be focusing on, not on us. Don't forget we just gave Aberdeen a do in as well. I'm not a bigot, never have been, not even a Catholic tbh and I am glad Rangers are back up regardless of the politics involved or who the mother company is. If you had views like myself, or even a tiny bit of common sense you should want Celtic to do well in Europe. It tires the team for 1, but aside that if the football mafia, UEFA, keep mucking about with who gets what we want our league to be in as strong a position as possible or guess what NOBODY GETS in and NOBODY GETS CASH. That being said, no Celtic fan is expecting anything out of pretty much the group from hell. Barcelona even rested players ahead of Celtic coming so I agree we will get pumped. But I am a Scot, ill enjoy it none the less.

I will say my biggest disappointment was reading the news today about the damage your fans have caused. Its a shame because most have been reported as well behaved.

{Ed039's Note - damage is done in the away end in majority of old firm games, whether it is seats, graffiti or toilets, I am surprised the coverage it got to be honest, I am not condoning it because it is disgraceful and will cost Rangers, it's just that it's happened plenty of times before and will happen again but this time was widely reported as if it's new news)

11.) 11 Sep 2016 17:40:38
Fair point to make Ed. I'm aware it was endemic in the past, guess it was wishful thinking a new era had eradicated it. Suppose it really is wishful thinking to think things will ever change between our clubs and fans.

I would always support Rangers in Europe tho, unless its against Celtic ;0) or actually winning it. Couldn't bear tha lol.

Hey fellow bears, I really don't think a striker is a priority think waghorn will be good for 20 plus goals this season looks a quality signing, john eutace protecting the back four with us doing a lot of a attacking is a must will break up counter attacks etc would like a left winger also not sure abt temps tbh

we couldn't beat ross county in 3 attempts, hamilton at home etc think the fans feeling of uncertainty of a result over morton is justified, surely its his last game in the hot seat if we do get beat

i think its time to show everyone that we are still one the biggest and best clubs in britain and push the boat out for a top appointment someone that makes scottish football sit up and take notice someone that is going to make celtic think there is a real threat across the city, when celtic brought in rogers it gave them a real shot in the arm, boosted season ticket sales etc we need someone in that will have same effect. i'd go for Alan Pardew

TOMUSA you make a lot of good points i'm just really surprised we've never sorted the problem areas scoring goals and conceding cheap goals, i think both new boys in midfield will be better in possession and won't have as much slack passing as both holt and halliday who i think are the architects of us conceding goals losing possession in bad areas of the park, would like to see bates along side hill for few games see how the boy plays, just glad we got the win and hope we can kick on from here

warburton says one of the reasons to goes for british players more is because plays from europe can take longer to settle in and he needs players to hit the ground running, which he thinks british players do which i disagree with
