Not a rumour per say, but a few years ago I had a friend on the US golf circuit, and just after the bill miller deal was chased away he told me that Allaister Johnson was a friend of a few Yankee sports business men who wanted to get into uk soccer, now Johnson was and still is a well respected guy in the states ang while at the masters he had a few meetings with them along with King about the investment, that was the main reason for Johnson going back in as a non exec director to carry out diligence, he is usually very forthcoming about sports in America and was spot on about the guy buying pompey but since the resolution 11 was carried he has been very quiet, probably nothing but meetings within the sports community in America is always on going so if the new spokesperson (Johnson) thinks we are moving forward maybe he is right,

A think there will be investment because y can u offer a high profile person a job but tell him there is very limited funds to rebuild the squad a think when new manager is vacant then king will come out with what treasure chest he will have to win next seasons title

2.) 28 Apr 2018 13:45:32
Do we know that a high profile has been offered a job?

3.) 28 Apr 2018 15:14:07
Well his name is high profile u disagree Scott

4.) 28 Apr 2018 17:00:00
There is a difference between offering a high profile name the job and the high profile name accepting the job. Remember Gerrard still has not accepted the job.

5.) 28 Apr 2018 19:00:08
If investment is there why has King not complied with the Takeover panel? You lot are dreaming again. Just like Ashley. Just like Warburton, Alves, Pedro, Cummings, Barton and all of the other crap you have accumulated.

I listened to Jurgen Klopp about Stevie G yesterday, and had a chuckle when he said " as long as it is not Everton or Man U we will support him" if that had been said by Smith or McCoist that tube McLaughlin on the bbc would have been screaming murder polis, I thought it was great tv and not OMnE journo complained,

Why are we as a group of supporters so easily divided, the old saying is true about us, if three of us washed ashore on a desert island during the night by first light we would have formed FOUR supporters clubs, I love the fact that we ALL have an opinion on what is our take on what is best for the gers, god I never wanted souness to replace big jock but was it the right move, sure was, when he left I wanted a new manager not Walter, but I sure am glad we got him, so good to have an opinion and stick to it but if it is Gerard and McAllister then I will be behind them 100% . Then there is the mhanks who too a man are telling him he would be mad to come here, why, because they like him, no they are scared that they won't be asked to spout their diatribe in the press or on the radio, remember we are all rangers supporters then now and forever. Rant over.

Govan, its a long time since I've witnessed them going into meltdown like this, it really is incredible to watch. Every one of them has an opinion one who should be OUR next manager, and mention Stevie G, well, off they go he's too young, he's too inexperienced, he won't cope with the pressure and so on . The reality is they are watching us turning the corner and can't cope with THAT reality. W. A. T. P.

2.) 28 Apr 2018 10:38:00
Govan, that’s simple. there are supporters and there are sunshine supporters.

True supporters support the club through thick and thin - of course we have every right to moan about things but we get behind every player, the manager and the board until is becomes clear that they are doing harm to the club.

Sunshine supporters are not true supporters. They can’t find it within themselves to say anything positive when things are tough. 3 bad misses or 5 bad touches and a player is useless. Keeper makes an error, he’s useless. They are only positive after a run of 10 great results and will boo the team regularly. other teams know that these fan skills will give the team a hard time.

Looking through the threads here, there are 8 or 10 regular sunshine supporters. always bad news, never anything g positive to say. In my book, they are the same as Timalloy and co

3.) 28 Apr 2018 10:43:35
Turning the corner? well I suppose yous are ahead of the curve in 3rd place 😂😂😂

4.) 28 Apr 2018 10:44:24
And it begins again. The Rangers are coming, Timplosion etc. When will you lot learn. We have 7 league titles in a row to clinch followed by a double treble. Gerrard can take the job if he wants. What I don't get is how you say that Murty in an u20s coach but now a u18s coach with less experience is now the answer to all your problems. Brendan will be sh*tting himself. Nope, we still can't see you coming :)

5.) 28 Apr 2018 10:48:14
Jyf. A lot of rangers fans are saying the same things. Wow rangers fans are becoming more paranoid than Celtic fans. Every one on here saying Celtic in meltdown 6 weeks ago and boom looked what happened.

6.) 28 Apr 2018 11:14:57
Just think marty and manky, the worst Rangers team in living memory is only 10 points behind you, when we win tomorrow only seven and all this without a manager. We could and should have beaten you in your midden and at Ibrox, that's the margins we are talking about here, not a lot of distance to make up there and next season, with a kick arse manager in charge, we will not only close that gap but open up our own gap with us in front. We will struggle into second place this season with a crap team no manager no money but the best fans in world football so be afraid we are coming.

7.) 28 Apr 2018 11:19:09
DK17, you don't have a clue what makes our supporters tick. You are of a mind that everything you are told gets a positive spin. That is your choice, but you must accept that others think differently. I could list many instances where we have been led up the garden path. You would, probably, see that a nice walk, but to me it is just a waste of time and money.
I can take most insults but never compare me, as you did in your last sentence.
In future stick to the banter.

8.) 28 Apr 2018 11:28:43
Nota', a lot of Rangers fans saying the same things as mankyboy? don't think so.

9.) 28 Apr 2018 11:28:50
I hope Gerrard goes to Ibrox. Great for the profile of the Scottish game. It will encourage Celtic to strengthen even further in the summer. If Gerrard did well the media coverage will improve so maybe more money on tv deal? If however he falls on his face then its back to the drawing board. It really is about getting financial backing. If he takes the job the Rangers are broke issue may be incorrect however if he knocks the job back its for one reason. No cash available. I think after all the hype if he says no its another PR disaster. I don't believe he will take the gig. Think he will distance himself from the job this week. let's see.

10.) 28 Apr 2018 11:52:47
Steven Gerrard could be brilliant. Everyone going on about won the champions league the fa cup league cup captain of England. Well here is one for you all to think about. Paul Lambert. Champions league Scottish league Scottish cup league cup. Captained Scotland. It does not make you a great manager.

11.) 28 Apr 2018 12:46:32
Not a rumour, who on here said Gerrard will be a great manager? He is high profile and hopefully he can attract high profile players to Ibrox and with the right support around him learn the ropes quickly and take us from strength to strength.

12.) 28 Apr 2018 18:54:27
Jyf. Dream on. Delusional as always. You lot are being sold a pup. Can't wait till it turns out he ain't coming. Wonder if you can claim your season ticket cash back? Also hope King can get some change out of his £11mill. He is going to need it for players contracts you need to rip up never mind buying new players. Why would anyone apart from Murty take this job?

Sorry for the rant lads .

1.) 17 Apr 2018 15:37:38
Not a rant brother, good to see someone eloquently saying we need to stick together no matter the circumstances. I can understand fans saying they won't renew their books, we have been let down. But sticking together is a must or we would fade away.
Aye Ready

2.) 17 Apr 2018 16:04:59
I think a wee bit of transparency by the board would be welcomed at a time the are asking fans to renew

17 Apr 2018 15:13:55
Time to stop believing all the hype in the papers, we as a collective on Sunday were rubbish, but the one thing WE should ALL be going is support the team as we have done through thick and thin, I commented on a local rag about this defeat could cost players their career at ibrox, I said I remember the 1969 cup final when we were the favourites and being turned over by them, I pointed out that Ferguson never kicked a ball again in earnest for the gers, Davie white lasted only six months after it, in fact I remember the next game I saw Ferguson play for rangers was in the combined reserve league against Glasgow corporation at the old Helen street bus garage, my point is that this rag has it as an exclusive in their rag today, remember these tabloid hacks and the bbc hate us with as much venom as any Timmy reprobate, I know WE as bluenoses never agree on anything to do with our club we all have our opinion on who was great or who was dross, but remember we ALL have a deep deep love for OUR club . And unlike all those cackling with joy at our defeat and I include the Judas's that took our money and accepted our praise who take great delight in telling us how bad we are just to earn a living or to be on the telly . LOng after you have departed this earth, the Glasgow Rangers will carry on, so remember fellow bears disagree with each other but remember we have one cause that unites us, our love of THE GLASGOW RANGERS.

Govan sage I get your post mate, but some on here are just talking nonsense

Murty, players and the board all should hang there head in shame

Murty - not a manger
Players -really under performing whoever the manager is
Board -getting backed by the fans year in year out but constantly failing to deliver

Scott was on the board because the % of shares the man in Hong Kong bought off Ashley along with club 1872 it was a short term position as a non exec director, surely one of the dhim expert financiers will enlighten us on it, or the so called rangers men on the beeb,

Anyone else think that those players representing our club have chucked it . I know we don’t have a god given right to win but we deserve for those paid to represent us actually try, an absolute disgrace.

Goallie, sounness was a rookie, Smith was the reserve coach at tannadice but we gave them our support and look at the trophies, I am not saying it will happen again but we need to try,

Not a rumour, that was the board the last time we won the league, well I for one would like nothing better than that to happen again, I was no lover of Murray but I loved every trophy we won under his tutelage, I only fell out when he gave up 10 IAR for the tv money, so what is the alternative.

My choice of manager would be Bruce arena, but I know it won’t happen, FDB might be a good move, but remember the fact that he was able to play an array of Ajax youth players mixed with seasoned pros, would we allow him the time to implement this?
