What a top class performance from Morelos tonight ran his socks off and scored a fantastic goal. The defence is a million times better than last season how we've managed to get Goldson for 3 million is quite incredible. Also impressed with coulibaly he looks a player and solid. Only negative Ryan Jack should never be on our bench never mind starting eleven he just slightly above Sunday league level. 🇬🇧.

JGG1

1.) 26 Jul 2018 22:46:44
Very harsh on Ryan jack thought he played well tonight he breaks up the play really well, also Gerrard likes him so he must really see something in him.

2.) 26 Jul 2018 22:54:47
Morelos was superb tonight let’s hope this kick starts his season. Kent and Couibaly both looked good and Goodson was solid at back. However do have to agree about Jack very poor in possession and gave the ball away constantly.

3.) 26 Jul 2018 23:01:48
Tell you this waggy put in some good performances for us albeit in an inferior league . and he couldn’t cut it when we stepped up ( or so we thought ) but her never played a game like alfredo did tonight . welcome back buffalo. your a star.

4.) 26 Jul 2018 23:10:59
The only negative was Flanagan if we continue to play him we have no chance. Goldson was outstanding again, looking like a bargain for 3 million.

5.) 26 Jul 2018 23:27:53
Don’t know what game you were watching but Ryan jack put in a good solid performance tonight.

6.) 26 Jul 2018 23:41:25
‘Ryan jack just above pub league level’. behave yourself lad, granted didn’t have the best of games and i understand everyone has their own free will but that flippant comment tells me you have never kicked a ball in your life. a think you were last picked at ‘twosies’ and have now became a ref 😂😂😂.

7.) 27 Jul 2018 01:14:23
Ryan Jack was our best player last season before his injury, got sent off too many times but he had nothing but shite round about him. He needs a certain type of player beside him but there is too many people on here that have never played football to understand that.

8.) 27 Jul 2018 02:29:39
Jack was a mix of good and bad. Some stuff went through him and his passing was very inconsistent, but equally his positional sense, tracking back and work ethic was sound. He still isn't really convincing as a Rangers player though.

9.) 27 Jul 2018 04:45:08
I honestly can't believe some of the stuff written on here. The lack of respect for our players and manager is ridiculous. Morelos and Jack are both quality players and as everyone in a Rangers shirt deserves respect and support, Trust and respect the manager, it's him that picks the team and if he deams them good enough, support them.

10.) 27 Jul 2018 07:51:51
Ryan Jack has been a good signing for us, he will only get better gets stuck in. Defence we look solid, think flanagan has been good, but offers nothing going forward miss declan johns runs up the wing takin on lads and supporting the winger. Alfredo played well last night ran his socks off, hopefully more performances like that. Early doors but i'm happy with the team.

11.) 27 Jul 2018 09:49:58
Why exactly is Flanagan a problem for you? Because he doesn’t get forward? Declan John gets forward aye, how many direct goals did he contribute to last season. how many goals did he cost us by being way out of position, terrible at tackling and non existent in the air?

Flanagan > John every day of the week. John is a winger for me in any case.

12.) 27 Jul 2018 11:34:24
Agree 100% with LM1991. A defender's first job is to defend. Flanagan being more defensive minded gives us good balance with Tav wanting to bomb forward all the time. People harping on about John - him and Tav being naive defensively cost us umpteen goals last season, far more than his attacking play contributed.

13.) 27 Jul 2018 12:45:31
I don't think the manager wants Flanagan to go forward as he has said himself we were conceding too many goals last season, so he wants to tighten up in defence, also we were playing away from home in Europe so more important to not concede and maybe get an away goal,
Thats exactly what the manager wanted and what he got,

14.) 27 Jul 2018 16:04:55
Djkorjat ( never kicked a ball in my life) that’s a belter son 😂😂😂😂 . If you think that Ryan jack is Rangers class and the standard of player we need to catch Celtic it must be you that’s never kicked a ball in your life or either that your on the glue😂 Bluegav tell me one game last season that Ryan jack was our best player on a the park? BEcause all I can remember of him last season was him costing us games being reckless and getting sent off!

04 Jun 2018 16:12:13
Ovie Ejaria close to signing and Dominic Solanke keen to join Rangers as well on a years loan As well personally think that would be a fantastic bit business if we can get that over line 👍🏼 The first transfer market I can genuinely say I'm excited about for years good time ahead hopefully.

JGG1

1.) 04 Jun 2018 16:25:58
Don’t get to excited the same paper had Skrtel A DONE DEAL! let's hope so thou 👍🏻

2.) 04 Jun 2018 18:28:23
That’s true LDM17 and I’m quite glad that one never went over the line!

3.) 04 Jun 2018 20:19:27
Can't wait for the news next week, when the Dubai investor finally gets the blueprint over the line 😁😁

Just hoping we can bring some real decent talent to Ibrox again

4.) 05 Jun 2018 00:15:51
Time to get excited I heard that we have been linked with a billionaire

I heard it was a Dubai investor Arif Naqbi who has already invested in Rangers, in the tune of 2million back in 2012

He may be coming back to the fore with some much needed cash which will be great news for Steven Gerrard and Rangers fans

Arif Naqbi remember the name! A total legend and is a Rangers fan

Seemingly has a personal fortune of just shy of 1B but his company possesses an operating income of around 10B Massive landscaping and infrastructure Business

{Ed0333's Note - I think you mean Arif Naqvi not Arif Naqbi and he’s not an Emarati he’s Pakistani with a profound business empire not only in the Middle East But spanning globally.

5.) 05 Jun 2018 06:45:28
I'll ignore the billionaire romp!
However I looked at the young lads videos (& I know they can be misleading) but he is big strong and fast and likes a tackle, reminded me a bit a young Patrick viera
With SG coaching him he could do well with us before going back to Liverpool!

6.) 05 Jun 2018 07:41:14
Very mixed views from Sunderland fans on Twitter a lot didn’t seem very impressed

7.) 05 Jun 2018 11:54:05
Just sounds like Zelalem.

8.) 05 Jun 2018 20:42:13
Hope were not going to have another window were we r linked to loads of EPL sides young players, it hasn't worked in the past and it won't work in the future, we need tried and tested experienced players who r obviously affordable. I know Sir Alex proved Hansen wrong with the " you can't win anything with kids" comment but it's not Beckhan, Scholes, Giggs etc we r getting linked with

9.) 06 Jun 2018 01:23:41
Clint Hill a good player? He was indifferent a best. His distribution and foresight at back was nil. Worst short term filler in a while.

Seriously how good a performance was that today considering the difficult tie we had on Thursday. What was majorly encouraging was the strength of our bench Also with a few to come back from injury. CELTIC are on the ropes here and it's looks like we're going to take advantage of this. A MASSIVE thanks to stevie g and Gary mcallister for bringing this club back to where we belong.

JGG1

1.) 23 Sep 2018 21:22:40
Agree JGG1 Very good performance by the whole team we've got players in all positions fighting to get into the team and have to say the buzz about Ibrox and away games is amazing #best fans in the world.

Only thing i would add is as SG says we're not obsessed with Celtic they're obsessed with us. We've got to be obsessed with winning every other game and the Celtic games will take care of themselves.

2.) 23 Sep 2018 21:23:20
Excellent not a peep from fat hartson and pricksutton.

3.) 23 Sep 2018 22:07:46
Breathtaking performance today and Stevie wanting even more! Love it. We have a right good squad here and for whatever reasons we Didn't do ourselves justice at the piggery. If that game was being played next week I'm certain we would win it and not only that but win it well. Very, very impressed with the boss and all of his backroom staff. We are absolutely flying right now. If we can keep everybody fit and rotate the squad in the correct manner we are going to be right there at the business end of this season, of that I have no doubt.

4.) 24 Sep 2018 07:51:12
Morelos was MoM for me. But Candyass was class. he must have ran about 40 miles in that game. McCrorie was class too.

Cant wait to see a scotland midfield of Mcginn Mccrorie and Gilmour.

5.) 24 Sep 2018 10:10:00
Well said Gman, The silence from Hartson and Sutton is deafening, especially after the Villareal game when Hartson couldn't even bring himself to say anything good about the Gers, he actually said that we rode our luck for our first goal when we had five players in the Villareal box? what an person,

16 Sep 2018 10:55:36
Was very impressed with us yesterday for the majority of the game we played some excellent stuff. Coulibally makes a major difference to us the boy is class and possibly the best box to box midfielder we've had since stevie Davis. Signing him should be our number one priority next season without question but I think we'll struggle to afford him. Really starting to get excited about Middleton the boy is going to be class and although Grezda didn't get long yesterday you can tell he's going to be a player. Although the Celtic game was a setback I still believe if we can keep everybody fit and Morelos and lafferty can keep can banging them in we've got a descent chance this season👍🏼.

JGG1

1.) 16 Sep 2018 14:24:40
Agree JGG1. Coullibally looks immense and a rock in midfield and will be key on Thursday particularly with Jack unfit. The boy Middelton reminds me of a young Bud Johnston and good to see him get some decent game time yesterday.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 15:40:55
Bankie, i agree with your comparison between our young winger glenn middleton and our legendary winger, wullie 'bud' johnston! Had the privilege of watching wee bud and he was a terrific winger! Glenn middleton has some similar traits, to bud and will have a very good future in the game, as far as i'm concerned!

3.) 16 Sep 2018 16:45:20
The famous SuperCoop "kiss of death". Poor Middleton will be playing for Morton now in a couple of seasons 🤣😉.

4.) 16 Sep 2018 18:00:12
Agreed, Snell, for starters he's not at all like my good friend Willie Johnston, who could play inside, outside and was a lot more two-footed and had a better injection of pace. For large chunks of his career Bud played more as a modern day second striker and was never really a touchline winger. Look at his goals in Barcelona. In all he scored 90 goals for Rangers in just over 200 games, so if Middleton can do that then he will be comparable to Johnston.

5.) 16 Sep 2018 18:22:03
Disagree with you dutycalls. If you've carefully watched middleton when he's came on as a sub for us, he can play outside and come inside beating his man! Middleton also has a terrific injection of pace, so i honestly don't think you have been watching young middleton thoroughly mate!

6.) 16 Sep 2018 19:03:43
Think the boy is just 18 and looks a terrific prospect. Interesting to hear SG’s comments on Middleton after match yesterday, clearly thinks highly of the lad. Also seems to have good values and be a really good lad, an area where “Bud” could have been better.

7.) 16 Sep 2018 20:44:23
Been very impressed with Middleton we've got a class wee player on our hands, a winger of days gone past nd these modern full backs will struggle to deal with him.

31 Aug 2018 14:29:45
Looking for opinions would you accept 7-10 million for Morelos and have him replaced by solanke on a years loan. I like Morelos as a player but do believe he will cost us this season with his stupidity and yesterday Was not acceptable.

JGG1

1.) 31 Aug 2018 15:06:13
Yes👍.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 15:08:56
JGG1 I totally agree with you. He is a goal scorer, but he can be a disaster waiting to happen, with his temperament. I would hope Stevie G has a replacement in mind and get good money for him.

3.) 31 Aug 2018 15:11:33
No, keep Morelos all day, boys only been sent off once in career.
Get europa experience and some caps, value will only increase.
SG managing him well, saying how much he loves him, mini saurez.

4.) 31 Aug 2018 15:14:20
JGG1 you're having a laugh, surely? We sell our main striker on deadline day, bring in a player who is neither prolific or all that interested, on a LOAN deal then suggest that Morelos, who has been sent off just twice in his whole career - one of which was rescinded - is a liability! Of course what he did was silly, but that's fixable. I can't believe any real fan would so wish to weaken our team because a player kicked the ball away. Grow up for crying out loud, do you not think Gerrard will sort this?

5.) 31 Aug 2018 15:19:07
Jboy, one in his career? Twice this season mate.

6.) 31 Aug 2018 15:23:35
Marco C one was rescinded, just to refresh your memory. That means it wasn't a sending off, so yes, just once in his whole career, which was last night.

7.) 31 Aug 2018 15:37:19
Even though it was rescinded He was still sent off and we played majority of the match with 10 men.

8.) 31 Aug 2018 15:44:09
Grow up duty calls! I was just asking for honest opinions on the matter I think it appears it’s you that needs to grow up. If that goes down and Morelos gets sold for 10 million and we got solanke on loan I would deem that good business considering we only paid a million for him.

9.) 31 Aug 2018 15:51:09
Whether it was rescinded or not is irrelevant, the issue is that he puts himself in situations because of his petulance that hinder the team. that's not good enough. He has the ability but if we are offered 7 mil or so and solanke on a year loan then I would definitely take it👍. And morelos has been sent off twice, aberdeen and ufa, both for petulance. Some people can't count 🙃👍.

10.) 31 Aug 2018 16:00:01
Dutycalls

He was sent off at Aberdeen and we played most of the game with 10 men so it did count. Although it was very harsh he didn’t need to react like that and his temperament is very suspect.

11.) 31 Aug 2018 16:04:45
He’s a talented player but as you say coldo his petulance cost us two points up at and almost cost us millions in getting knocked out the Europa league. As for solanke watched him in a major tournament for the England u21 where he was goalscorer in the tournament And voted the player of the tournament as well👍🏼.

12.) 31 Aug 2018 16:06:38
Marco c Aberdeen rescinded so his stats show sent off once.

13.) 31 Aug 2018 16:16:34
why sell a player who's stock is only on the rise.

14.) 31 Aug 2018 16:28:36
Jboy, the stats also show that we dropped 2 points at aberdeen because morelos got himself sent off for a petulant kick👍.

15.) 31 Aug 2018 17:12:42
Coldco, no it don't, also record says one unless sg wrong as well.

16.) 31 Aug 2018 17:35:15
By the way, I would not sell, this guy will be our record sale in time.

17.) 01 Sep 2018 01:04:40
His stock as you say is not on the rise. His petulance other night will at best stagnated his stock. Two more episodes like that hell be as popular as herpes. Nobody will take chance on him.

24 Aug 2018 16:30:25
Think we're still needing a bit of creativity up front and to replace Murphy it would be good if Gerrard could use his Liverpool contacts again and get ojo or even markovic both would be useful additions.

JGG1

22 Aug 2018 16:39:56
Done deal for lafferty 2 year contract an e excellent addition to the squad and will get us important goals this season👍🏼 Terrible news about Murphy I do think we do need to replace him. Hopefully we can get another winger in and cover for centrehalf and it has to be said the business We have done in this transfer window spending very little money as well has been top class.

JGG1

1.) 22 Aug 2018 17:20:58
Bad news about Murphy but it could leave an opportunity for Middleton. I know some say too young but think of Dalglish and Rooney at the same age. Nobody held them back.

2.) 22 Aug 2018 17:45:15
Fraser totally agree mate when av been to games this season n he’s played he’s been one of the stand outs.

3.) 22 Aug 2018 21:49:59
Middleton needs some spl game time asap to continue his rapid development, no use in him going to another team on loan or being demoted, he will come on leaps and bounds with games and to be fair, he could well keep Murphy out the team.

People on here criticising solanke haven’t seen him play probab play probably. Watched him in the under 20 World Cup it has England which they won and he was the top goals scorer and player of the tournament. Kaz comparing mcburnie to solanke is like comparing Barry Bannan to Lionel Messi. he's a top quality player and will make a major impact up here.

His natural position is centre midfield he just filled in at leftback as Mendy was injured. Watched him a few tims at psv Eindhoven where he played as an attacking midfielder a couple of seasons ago when he was out in loan and was very impressive. He knocked back a 13 million pound move to wolves and if we got him on loan (which I doubt) he would be an unbelievable signing for us.

Would send sadiq back to Roma and get solanke on loan. If Morelos gets injured would could be in trouble so firepower is required I think. Another creative midfielder would go a wrong either I like arfield but we need somebody else who can split defences open and also pitch in with goals.

Dorrans is a good player who has played in the EPL league the majority of his career! Although I think he’s got a fight to get into the 11 a fully fit Dorrans will be a useful addition to the squad this season. Ask yourself this who would you rather have a fully fit Dorrans in your starting lineup or Halliday?
