According to the rags we are after Kenny McLean from the sheep,

1.) 24 Jun 2017 14:09:26
Close the gap on Celtic, not with signings like McLean!

2.) 24 Jun 2017 14:55:35
Even though his team finished closer to Celtic than we did? Nice one Ronnie

3.) 24 Jun 2017 15:13:29
I like McLean but I reckon Aberdeen would play hardball and we'd have to pay decent coin for him

4.) 24 Jun 2017 15:49:42
RonnieR9 can you explain that comment? McLean knows the Scottish game inside out. He's better than what we have at the moment. As excited as I am about Pena and the other signings how do we know that they will hit the ground running and settle immediately?

5.) 24 Jun 2017 16:28:15
I'll say it time and time again, Mclean is very underrated. Very good box to box player.

6.) 24 Jun 2017 16:52:04
not saying he won't improve the team, just think that there are better players out there in the £1-£1.5m bracket with more quality. dorrans for one is a better player.

7.) 24 Jun 2017 18:33:02
Ronnie, the age factor makes Mclean worth it.

8.) 24 Jun 2017 20:20:43
RonnieR9 who would you rather we sign? McLean is a crackin player would have him in a minute

9.) 24 Jun 2017 21:21:02
Ronnie, your thinking is way off. Just because a player doesn't come from a team that perform better than Celtic doesn't mean they won't improve us. Caniggia, Novo, Boyd, McCann, the lost goes on of players that played for other SPL teams and they never made us any weaker

10.) 25 Jun 2017 00:28:19
Stu is blu your argument is pointless as there is a list of players who have made us weaker. It's all about opinions and I just happen to think he isn't much better than what we already have.

11.) 25 Jun 2017 01:01:43
Your trying to say he isn't better than Halliday, Forrester, Windass etc.? I would say we've had far more players from outwith teams in Scotland that have been duds compared to players who know the league

12.) 25 Jun 2017 04:00:29
I'd like dorrans. I also believe he'll sign soon. Can't see Pedro not pushing deal through for an extra few hundred grand, that is who he obviously wants. McLean is also good (not our 1st choice though)

13.) 25 Jun 2017 10:13:14
I would put McLean in the bracket between better than what we had last year and not good enough to close gap on Ceptic. Dorrans is in the bracket of good enough to match and catch them and has a far better pedigree and ability than Kenny McLean who is good but not great

So Ashley has sold all his shares in rangers, but who is Julian wolhardt.

1.) 23 Jun 2017 15:36:59
Jake16 read rangers/ news. co. uk for full story

04 Jun 2017 08:30:51
Looking on the rumours page a lot of talk about new kit deals and more players coming in, aren't we still tied with puma and Ashley? Also great to see new players would like to see more British players who know what it's like to play for Glasgow rangers.

1.) 04 Jun 2017 13:18:49
new shirt sponsor to be unveiled next week and new kits out in July. Biggest news of all though is that the Retail Deal is expected to be sorted out soon and a plan to buy tops so the money goes back to Rangers will be put in place.

2.) 04 Jun 2017 13:26:15
Any news on the sponsor?

3.) 04 Jun 2017 13:33:38
No but New deal to be done prior to start of season. DK was adamant that the retail side of business is back on track. Word is 100% legit

4.) 04 Jun 2017 13:47:46
Hope so mate. would assume we will here something soon. leaked photo of top mabaye. hope spd not the sponsor.

02 Jun 2017 18:27:08
Good to see the signings, but does anybody else think we need a decent right back.

1.) 02 Jun 2017 18:34:28
yes. Would love Paterson and Abella, sell Tav and Hodson. That would do nicely.

2.) 02 Jun 2017 19:07:15
Absolutely Jake. Cannot believe Pedro rates Tav as a RB. If he stays it should be as a right mid but given the midfielders we've got now or will be getting then maybe only as squad cover. Hope we're still interested in the Mexican guy, ABella.

3.) 02 Jun 2017 19:30:53
Keep tav excellent on the ball and powerful always gives his all, will be better again next season

4.) 02 Jun 2017 20:03:46
Paterson will be rb and if tav still there he'll be pushed up the park

5.) 02 Jun 2017 20:35:14
If we get abella in then tav is plenty good enough for his back up get rid of hodson and it's sorted no need to sign two right backs

6.) 02 Jun 2017 20:56:25
Paterson would be a great signing but at this stage in his recovery from an injury doubt if he would pass the medical. It could be a gamble worth taking and move Tav into midfield.

7.) 03 Jun 2017 19:24:08
Stick with tav

20 May 2017 18:59:36
Seen, all this stuff about naismith I would be the first to welcome him back open armed, had he done what Davis, done and got a transfer fee for the club, but he didn't he legged it bad mouthed us and filled his pockets, and if anybody says what about Kenny Miller I bet you forgave him, no I haven't forgiven Alfie conn.

1.) 20 May 2017 19:39:28
And you are what is wrong with the minorty of our support

2.) 20 May 2017 19:46:02
I agree g4rry! We should concentrate on what is right for the here and now! The plain facts are that naismith would improve our starting line up greatly! That's good enough for me

3.) 20 May 2017 19:50:36
Davis not get a transfer fee the club gave us money for goodwill!

4.) 20 May 2017 19:51:21
If the players mentioned can improve our team that's what matters don't matter where they come from as long as they improve our team that's what matters

5.) 20 May 2017 21:02:43
Lafferty, Naismith etc abandoned us when we needed them most. Now they want to come back now that we are back in the top league - no chance! And I don't think I speak for a minority. They made their choices and now they get to live by them.

6.) 20 May 2017 21:41:02

Spot on mate

7.) 20 May 2017 23:20:52
Kenny Miller? Alfie Conn? Somebody needs to grow up! It's just pathetic!

8.) 21 May 2017 00:20:44
Surely it's better to wallow in the place we are now, underachieving, miles behind Celtic than to take Naismith etc back. After all, what really counts for us supporters is what happened 4 or 5 years ago. next year, who cares so long as those guys don't come back.

9.) 21 May 2017 03:51:09
immatuirty to a new level.

take anyone with class who wants to come back, we are not the same rangers we were, i grew up expecting to win games, they are years maybe decades ahead of us, financially and morally it seems.

yes most of our fans have brains but a lot are simpletons.

get behind the team and boardroom they are trying and to say we have not progressed in the 5 years is untrue. some teams would still be scraping the barrell.

10.) 21 May 2017 07:14:43
The big positives this year is got to be reaching europe, it puts the clubs name back out there in the mix. if signings in the summer are good its the next level to get back to the top. i honestley think this time next year if kit deal sorted and there's new investment, we will be challenging for the title. this year 2nd is a must and no more than a 15 point gap, that would take us in the right direction.

11.) 21 May 2017 07:43:24

Being in the Europa league qualifiers hardly puts us back in the mix. If the team got into the group stages then yes however it will be astonishing if we made it there

12.) 21 May 2017 09:36:20
Bengy25.going from 3rd division of scottish football to europa qaulifiers puts us in the mix. think we were lucky that hearts fell away and st johnstone ran out of games to catch us. dependent on summer signings will see how far we go. but this team needs a almost total overhaul. if the signings we have been liked with come about, we will be a better force this time round.

13.) 21 May 2017 09:47:15
It beggars belief the small minded bitterness of some of our fans!

14.) 21 May 2017 11:08:35

Problem is the Europa qualifiers aren't that far away and as we will need a complete overhaul it's difficult to see how we could get through them with a new team. An early exit will heap pressure onto the manager and a slow start in the league even more. I don't expect anything from Europe and can't see much money being made from it

18 May 2017 21:53:06
Scott Allan had his chance and went for the money to them he even denies being a rangers supporter, don't want him near the club, the only thing jason Cummings will be near ibrox for is to see his agent who sits in the members and he done the deal to extend his contract with hibs, the last time we looked at him.

1.) 18 May 2017 22:27:42
Well said jake16

2.) 19 May 2017 08:21:55
jake i bet your the same guy who jumps up and down when kenny millar scores all forgot when he scored against us for the unclean and even kissed their badge when celebrating. i think scott allan with the right coaching and players round him could be a bargain buy if we got him on the cheap 100k offer for a player better than any of our current central mid

3.) 19 May 2017 08:59:02

Honestly can't see them selling him to us. More likely he will go on loan to Hibs or another premiership side

Hartson can't get over the fact we didn't sign him, anything we do he criticises us.
