Ravel morrison? Anyone heard the rumours a loan deal from lazio? Supposidly just started following Rangers, the gaffer and a few players on social media.

1.) 15 Jan 2019 06:01:26
Ravel morrison is an incredible midfield talent, but its getting his head right that's the problem, along with his off field stuff! Very similar attributes to our very own legendary geordie genius, paul gascoigne! Walter smith got the best out of gazza, by controlling him to an extent, maybe steven gerrard could do likewise, with ravel morrison, if indeed we are interested, in signing him. Talent wise, morrison would be the best midfielder, in the scottish premiership and capable of ripping it apart!

2.) 15 Jan 2019 06:27:28
No thanks, guys a nutter. If Fergie can't control him then nobody can. Plus, I follow Stevie G on twitter but I'm hardly going to sign am I?

3.) 15 Jan 2019 07:03:36
Read this earlier on sky sports newspaper talks segment don't know if there is much in it though, has he not kinda stagnated he was supposed to be the next big thing a few years back but I don't really know much about the lad.

4.) 15 Jan 2019 08:03:29
Read this last night could be nothing and does seem strange. The guy has major baggage but if he didn’t he’d be well out of our range, we could definitely do with a player in that position, I’d take a low risk punt on loan!

5.) 15 Jan 2019 11:07:58
Everyone keeps rattling on about how we need a number 10, well this guy is as talented a player as you are likely to see. We wouldn't get the chance to sign a player of his talent if he didn't come with baggage. I seem to remember signing another English midfielder with baggage from Lazio, didn't turn out too bad.

6.) 15 Jan 2019 11:08:33
Honestly think that someone just went on his instagram and looked. He could have been following us and few players for ages. But and a big but if we do get him and Gerrard can get his head straight what a player he would be. What a talent.

7.) 15 Jan 2019 12:09:45
Theswagman your spot on mate. that's how we were able to sign a midfielder in the class of paul gascoigne, way back in 1995!He was the most talented midfielder, i've ever seen in a rangers shirt! Totally world class, what a player gazza was! I most definitely see where your coming from, with the similarities between paul gascoigne and ravel morrison mate!

8.) 15 Jan 2019 12:13:44
have to remember when he was at UTD with fergie he was a kid, given the area he grew up in and his families background it was no surprise he went off the rails

hopefully he has grown up a bit and realised he's running out of chances

if he was to come to us it could be a masterstroke.

9.) 15 Jan 2019 12:14:44
Also he's not just starting following them all on instagram as av just checked myself. he's been following those lads and the club for ages. someone has obv just spotted it the other nite.

10.) 15 Jan 2019 13:48:29
He’s damaged goods. IF Sir Alex couldn’t tune him in then most will struggle. He’s best avoided.

11.) 15 Jan 2019 17:10:51
Gazza went to lazio and played. This guts been loaned out. Can't compare him with Gazza.

12.) 15 Jan 2019 17:45:15
Very similar to Gazza? Oh, my! Even for you, that is a beauty.

13.) 15 Jan 2019 19:00:49
i know a few hammers fans and they all say ravel has great ability but is daft as a brush

not in gazzas class if you ask me

few were.

14.) 15 Jan 2019 19:31:32
Paul gascoigne i rate as the best midfielder i've seen in a rangers jersey, so if some of you on here take my post regarding ravel morrison, out of context, then it says all i need to know about you! Guys engage your brain and read the post carefully! Similar style doesn't mean i'm saying morrison was better than gazza, because in my book, nobody is better than paul gascoigne!

15.) 15 Jan 2019 20:13:11
You are wrong in so many ways.
Don't get so precious because some don't agree with you.
The mere fact you used Gazza and Morrison in the same sentence tells me all I need to know about you. Well, I already knew anyway. This just reinforced my opinion.
Gazza, as much as he was daft, was always 100% committed to his profession.
He gave 100% in training.
He gave 100% on the field.
He was world class.
He had charisma.
He was loved by his teammates.
He was idolized.
Morisson? Well, he's just a waster. No comparison at all.

16.) 16 Jan 2019 01:17:39
I love Gazza as much as the next bear but 100% committed to his profession?

That's simply not true mate.

17.) 16 Jan 2019 05:42:11
correct me if I'm wrong here but was Steven Davis no pictured recently in Tenerife holding up a no.10 Rangers jersey.

18.) 16 Jan 2019 06:45:09
Of course it is! Forget what he done outside football - that's not the point I'm making. When Gazza stepped onto the pitch he was 100% committed. Regardless of whether he was hungover, still drunk, or had been slaughtered in the press, Gazza gave his all on the pitch. That's the only commitment that matters.
Do you think Morisson would give us that? The guy couldn't lace Gazza's boots. Just because someone has a bit of talent, and has off-field problems, doesn't mean he can be compared to Gazza. That's just ridiculous.

19.) 16 Jan 2019 09:22:44
Of course Morrison has nowhere near the ability of Gascoigne just as we are not able to at the moment to afford to buy guys like him again.
Every window we have improved our level of talent we can attract from lower leagues in England to Championship players to average SPFL players to BPL youngsters on loan to being able to attract decent BPL players and the best SPFL players.
When we win league again and get back into Champions league that’s when we will hopefully be able to bring in a £5m type player.
So unfortunately we have to take a punt on players who have lost their way that if they hadn’t would be way out our price range.
Ravel Morrison falls into that category, he was described as best player they had ever seen for his age when 18-19 at Utd when in same side as Pogba. High praise considering the class of 92 squad aswell so yes he has been comparable to being as good as Gazza at 1 stage but as the likes of Pogba and Gazza were household names, and International regulars by the age Ravel is now unfortunately his career has stagnated.
He’s been in Italy for a few years, cane through 1 of the best academy’s of World Football in recent times and been a regular for West Ham in the BPL so if he has now matured as most people do by his age we could be getting a highly talented midfielder who really wants to prove his ability again working under Gerrard who most British footballers idolise.
I think he would be a great fit personally with his best years ahead of him. Gerrard will be quick to send him packing if he doesn’t think he’s right mentally it’s 1 of the 1st things he looks at when considering a signing.

20.) 16 Jan 2019 09:49:21
TheCampbell - correct mate. If he was 100% dedicated to his profession, with his talent, we would never have had the chance to sign him. He would have been at Real Madrid or somewhere. We only got the chance to sign him because of his many flaws, hence the relevant comparison to Morrison. Nobody is saying Morrison is at the same level, but to deny the parallels is just wilfully ignorant.

21.) 16 Jan 2019 13:10:54
Good player, TERRIBLE attitude - basically the English version of Pena (maybe a bit more talented)

15 Dec 2018 13:14:00
Heard rumours Were after G shinnie and ferguson from aberdeen?

1.) 15 Dec 2018 13:22:52
I Think he would be a good signing mate.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 13:58:34
Which one Goph 1872?

3.) 15 Dec 2018 14:07:56
I think they would be looking for far more than we would be willing to pay for Ferguson although think he’s a cracking player.

4.) 15 Dec 2018 14:28:06
I honestly don't think lewis ferguson would get in the rangers team. Much better quality we need than him IMO!

5.) 15 Dec 2018 15:02:57
I think Shinnie would be a good signing coop.

6.) 15 Dec 2018 15:34:41
Ferguson would be pushing for a start but Shinnie wouldn’t, Jack is twice the player he is!

7.) 15 Dec 2018 16:30:41
I would take shinnie as a squad player.

8.) 15 Dec 2018 17:58:35
Rather than sign Ferguson I would rather Greg Doc got his chance. he's a better player than Ferguson imo.

9.) 15 Dec 2018 18:12:13
Hopefully not Shinnie. Another defensive minded midfielder, we are well covered in that department. It’s a goal scoring and creative midfielder we need. Don’t think Ferguson is that creative but he does seem to have a knack of scoring important goals for Aberdeen. Like many others I’d like to see Doc given a chance.

10.) 15 Dec 2018 22:43:03
Where the two Shinnie brothers not with Rangers in their youth and released?

11.) 15 Dec 2018 22:49:41
Both would improve squad.

12.) 15 Dec 2018 23:08:37
None of them good enough, we have decent squad players, any finance available needs to be channeled into players who will improve our starting 11, an no. 10 and a striker if possible.

13.) 15 Dec 2018 23:08:59
Andrew shinnie was with us but not his brother.

14.) 16 Dec 2018 17:03:06
Gersman, we don't need squad players, we've got loads of them. We need players who will immediately improve the first team and those they dispossess become squad players!

Quite happy with the transfers so far, can't see a lot more players coming in maybe kent and a striker. I think morelos will stay next season. I would send lafferty back to hearts and swap him for their striker "Uche Ikpeazu".

1.) 23 Jun 2019 09:30:04
Ikpeazu is rank rotten.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 10:01:55
No even lunch time yet and already that's enough internet for today. he's Dug Sh**e. Bed!

3.) 23 Jun 2019 10:39:39
Lol Paul, I'd love to see some folks champ man teams. Uche Ikpeazu indeed lol.

22 May 2019 09:55:34
Big summer ahead of us, what does everyone think we need? I think left back, centre back, RYAN KENT and a striker. One player doesn't make a team but i think having kent in the team we look a different team, so def want him back.

I think there will be quite a few players leaving lafferty, grezda, asmuch as i think there is a player in barasic he's been really disappointing needs wrapped in cotton wool he's a wimp. Dorrans, asmuch as he's a good player he's not kicked a ball in i can't remember how long and can't see him challenging jack, kamara arfield. And would rather see rossiter and docherty challenging them for a place the two of them have played good down south. Centre mid we have a lot of options.

Morelos, i think we will be lucky to get 10 million for him. If it wasnt for all the red cards he might be worth 15-20 million. he's not getting called up to colombia due to the fact they can't rely on him. So that's going to put teams of paying that amount of cash!

We need 4 quality players in to compete next season.

1.) 22 May 2019 10:45:53
Are these 4 players in addition to the 3 (average) players we have already signed. I think jones will be good to be fair. But stewart and hastie doubt will play much. Can see candiaes game time being limited aswel. We need to be bringing in players of higher quality than currently have.

2.) 22 May 2019 11:13:00
No 4 quality proven players. hastie/ jones will be good in time. Greig stewart i don't have a clue why we signed him? None of the signings we have made so are going to take us to the next level. We need players that's good enough to walk straight into the starting 11 and compete.

I agree with candeias game time being limited, gerrard changed the formation so we wasnt really playing with wingers and it was more through the middle and it worked.

3.) 22 May 2019 11:27:05
Dont fancy Jones at all, i really don't see the fascination. I've posted this before, i'm from Killie and the word from fans are they weren't to bothered about loosing him . The only positive is we got him for nothing.

4.) 22 May 2019 11:37:22
I think jones will be good for us. Very similar to kent imo. Final ball lacking a lot of the time tho. but kent and candieas are exactly the same. When he's played us or the tims he's gave the defender a terrible time of it.

5.) 22 May 2019 11:56:06
If Fod leaves we will need a GK. A couple of CB’s, one for the squad and one for the starting 11. Although I think Katic has a lot of potential, he still has a bit to go before he is the finished article. Would like to see him getting more games than this year but don’t think he is up to 60 games yet. We need an upgrade on Candeias, although I though Arfield played that position really well against Celtic. He didn’t hug the touch line which meant he couldn’t link up with Tav as well but he did play more central which means he can directly influence the game more. Also would like to see Middleton try that position a few games, think he could be deadly cutting onto his left foot. Finally if Morelos goes which I can’t see happening as I don’t think anyone will mast him our demands, but if he does then another 1st choice striker. I know we have Defoe but doubt he will manage even 40 games next year.

6.) 22 May 2019 12:08:17
I think we look a better team without morelos.

7.) 22 May 2019 12:13:08
Alf made his hundred career goals last week, and he did it faster than any other player. He will screw the nut eventually and be one of the top strikers around. Time to ring fence or only sell if we can get BIG bucks and a sell on fee, and have a new replacement to improve and again sell on.

8.) 22 May 2019 15:21:12
Don't disagree with what you and a lot of the pundits are saying. Which 3-4 players though, costing how much and where's the money coming from? (Season ticket money? Selling Alfredo? ) I ask because the only ones we're currently being linked with are frees or "prospects".

9.) 22 May 2019 16:38:18
Zikos a CH ago replace katic? He is better than Goldson, I honestly don’t see what people see in Goldson yes he has had a few good games but we need better than him IMO.

10.) 22 May 2019 20:16:38
Paul u say we bought 3 average players
Have u saw a lot of them to make such a statement?

11.) 22 May 2019 21:17:00
Gannet10 tbh I have think goldson has been poor most of the season as well and has really only came onto a game beside big Katic. However Katic atm seems to need a bit of mentoring to improve his positional play. I see him getting caught out of position too often, also getting too close enabling forwards to roll him easily.

For those reasons I would like to bring in a more experienced CB to bolster the defence and also to help develop Katic.

If we make Katic first choice CB, yes I think he will turn out to be a first class defender but I also think he will cost us a lot of goals in the process and would like to lessen that if possible.

07 Apr 2019 20:37:13
Would def take hastie from motherwell, a lot of potential. Will be a great player.

1.) 07 Apr 2019 23:22:51
He wasn't that good to be honest.

2.) 08 Apr 2019 07:54:37
I saw something in Hastie as well I think he is a boy with good potential, maybe better with better players beside him.

3.) 08 Apr 2019 13:21:17
15k a week for potential, no thank you.

4.) 09 Apr 2019 00:20:45
No from me at that money 2 jboy. If we really offered him 15 a week it's not wonder we struggle to balance the books.

22 Mar 2019 19:05:52
If we sell morelos in summer, i hope we don't go for McBurnie. I don't rate him at all. Everytime I've seen him play he's been rank.

1.) 22 Mar 2019 21:06:23
James, i'm in the same boat as you, i simply don't see the fascination with McBurnie. He's certainly not Rangers class. PS, its going to be a big ask to find a replacement for Morelos.

2.) 23 Mar 2019 00:24:44
Stuck, I'm optimist, in world transfer market, our own much improved scouting system, Morelos cash return I'm sure there's a replacement somewhere. Agree Mcburnie ain't it nor SG mates but sure he has more contacts than most that can find suitable replacement (s) .

3.) 23 Mar 2019 09:28:22
the hardest position in the team to replace is a decent striker with a good goal return that's why there is so much interest in morelos, look they are out there but few and far between.

22 Mar 2019 07:51:53
Seen a lot of people saying we should sign McBurnie if we sell morelos we need to try get a good striker in. I don't rate McBurnie at all. Everytime I've seen him play i don't think he's good, def not a replacement for morelos if he goes in the summer.

1.) 22 Mar 2019 09:41:35
Agree James167, not nearly good enough to replace Morelos.

2.) 22 Mar 2019 12:44:17
We won’t sign mcburnie, valued at 7 million. Plus he is not good enough.

3.) 22 Mar 2019 13:21:26
McBurnie is NOT a replacement for Morelos or even close to it. I wouldn't pay more than 2 Million for him but with fees currently he'd fetch probably 7/ 8 Million.

4.) 22 Mar 2019 18:02:20
living in and watching Swansea, I can assure that McBurnie is no where good enough for Rangers. He is currently above his level, a mid table championship side. Also rumours he is undisciplined in his private life.

Dorrans is a good player not saying he's not, but he's never available always injured! How much games has he played since He joined us in 2017? I think he's only
Played 7 more games than rossiter.

Think we could get him in the summer, we need a clear out of players first get the wage bill down. Rossiter, dorrans, wallace ( asmuch as i would like to keep him he's not playing), pena. there's a lot players in the squad that are on high wages but don't play.

Dont want mcburnie! Not impressed me at all, read everyones comments on here before raving about signing him as he's a big blue nose. Watched him quite a few times and not be impressed.
