Ed is somebody having a laugh with these adverts- "Tax debts- don't let tax debts destroy your business - we can deal with HMRC"?

Just reading about Ally planning to show the video nasty of the defeat to the recently formed American team. I'm sure some of us could think of a right few other matches to look at over the last 3 years however here's a thought.
Would it not be better to show these players a positive match like the World Cup Semi between Germany and Brazil?

Now I am acknowledging the massive difference in class but what I'm thinking of is let the players see how much easier it is for the player in possession if his team mates are running into space and giving him
more options?

Just like the Germans did against Brazil. If you look at the game there are always a number of passes open to the player in possession.

And yes they are a class apart and yes it is a confidence thing and players will hide if the confidence is low which is why wee Black moaning at them won't help.

But I'm trying positivity today what about it Ally show the players a video goody and not a nasty?

Nbear

1.) Nbear, your logic is spot on and any decent coach would try to educate the players by viewing, ' how to play the simple game'. Maybe, even 2touch in bounce games-- wall passing [ one, two's], call it what you like. But, most of all play football on the deck and get your wide players behind the opposition. It's not rocket science, just common sense. Nbear, like yourself, frustration about our tactics is paramount to our predicament on the pitch. I posted on the 1st. July that my comments in future would not include A. Mc, but we will not produce a good team until he is gone.

2.) I agree with both post above but I think the team have got to try a 5 yard pass before they get addventures and try the dreaded 10 yard pass so maybe as you suggest billyb they should try the old one two with the wall cause that way the ball would come right back to them maybe lol

3.) Tmwnn, Like Nbear and yourself I am trying to be positive but one of the 'ally brigade' have pointed out that we need to allow for the roughcast and, anyway, there are no walls on a football pitch!

4.) Billyb there are no football players on our pitch

5.) If you really want to see Ally's "tactics" at work, watch our subs at half time. All they do is batter 50 yard long balls at each other fom one side of the pitch to the other. Whereas most opposition teams will be playing a short passing game and when somebody in the wee circle of players miscontrols/loses the ball they go into the middle to try get it back (they sometimes end up with 2 or 3 players in the middle putting pressure on the ball at so that their colleagues get accustomed to receiving the ball in tight situations).

6.) Youngwinston we have seen allys tactics at work long ball to daly if that don't work then the players punt long ball to daly and if it doesn't work again they say third time lucky try punntin a long ball to big daly lol

7.) @6, and if that doesn't work, take Daly off, put Moshni up front and punt it up to him.

Laughable.

Ed I would just like to announce the first completely incorrect post award for June. Normally you see it is about opinions and you will have the worryingly numerous Super Ally men posting about what a good job their hero is doing and the occasional poster like myself who completely disagrees with that. But these are opinions and ultimately cannot be proved 100% one way or another.

But the completely wrong post which will go to a nameless poster to save his blushes was confirmed by the accused today a certain Mr Louis Suarez "The truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me"

The award winning nameless poster wrote correctly in the first part of his post "I must be the only person who has watched this several times and does not believe this was an intentional bite attack"- YES MATE YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE

But followed this up incorrectly "but I see it as a failed Glasgow Kiss"

Reminds me of my favourite winch Sue Perb well done nameless poster the best laugh of the month

Nbear

1.) Thats the only glasgow kiss that could have ended up as a nooky badge eh lol

2.) 30 Jun 2014 22:15:29
Couldn't agree more, I wrote days ago that the animal should be locked up, and a long with bbab, another guy said it wasn't a bite,?? Couldn't make it up could you, wonder how he feels now

3.) Tommy45?

You are deluded m8 - never said it was not a bite.

My part in the discussion was to raise the issue that an elbow in the face / head was just as serious, and that the guy needed help not slagging off.

The OP sums it up - beware if you have an opinion that is not in common with popular consensus - says more about the OP than it does about the person he is denigrating, and you.

This site is all about freedom of speech with fellow bears. I was not aware that you need to be careful in what you post in case you offended someone with a different opinion.

We live in a democracy where opinions are encouraged not derision.

4.) 01 Jul 2014 10:47:24
@3 do you come with a government health warning? Never have I come across such a windbag with such a complete sense of humour bypass. Levity ya bufoon levity. So many words but so little to say. Och I will wait till the new season starts.

5.) When your humour comes at the expense of someone else, then it is not humour, it is derision and humiliation.

Read your post again and put yourself in the place of the recipient.

Where you hoping for everyone to come and slag him off as well.

I have a fantastic sense of humour, and like nothing else than to have a wee bit of banter, in the pub or with my mates - knowing what is right and what is wrong makes it funny or not!

6.) 01 Jul 2014 12:02:00
@bbb, I never ment you said it wasn't a bite pal, let's calm down a wee bit here eh, it was another guy who said it wasn't a bite, not you, I just found the comparison of elbowing Simone and actually biting someone was not right, anyway as you correctly say m8, its all about opinions, and we, re all Bluenoses, hopefully, so have a nice day m8

7.) There is very little difference in the level of violence between a bite and an elbow.

There is a large moral/behavioural difference. In a competitive, physical sport I expect to be elbowed/kicked and a bit of verbal (doesn't mean it's ok but I do expect it). However there is something wrong with an adult male who bites other men. There's a psychological imbalance.

I work in an industry where physical violence is a daily risk and deal with it without concern. However the decision to bite another human, be it conscious or subconscious, is a sign of a deeper issue.
Yes punish a player for an intentional elbow but if both happened to me I would want the person who bit me to receive a far stricter punishment than an elbow.

8.) Bluegenius very well put mate an my opinion is the exact same as your own

Any thoughts on Suarez? Is he the first man to bite his way out of the world cup? Will Liverpool still support him? How would gers fans feel if he bit Lee Wallace (in a friendly obviously) for example? Have the F. A any power to place a ban on him for this unusual violent conduct but in a tournament outwith their jurisdiction? Fantastic striker but is this a bite too far?

Nbear

1.) He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a sporting event again. I do care who was doing the biting, disgraceful action.

2.) 3 bites and your out!

3.) @ ED 0039 I think it is ED 0001 Who is the Liverpool fan - would be interesting to know his thoughts on Suarez?. Would gers fan be so robust in condemnation if he was our star player? Did we all condemn Gascoine when he beat up his wife? Well we blooming well should have.
I think his time should be up but what are the Liverpool faithful saying?

{Ed001's Note - mixed bag mate, some want rid, others don't. All agree he was an idiot though and needs help, it is just some see his actions as less of an issue than say a two footed lunge which could end a player's career. Personally, I just think that once is a mistake he should learn from. Twice is a clear sign that he has not learnt and he needs more help to teach him to react differently when frustrated. But a third time is time to say bye bye. He is not a kid, he is too old to be making these childish errors and still getting paid ridiculous sums for the privilege. He may well be a genius on the pitch, of that there is little doubt, but it is little point having a player that spends so much of his career banned, so you can't even use that to defend him. I was of the opinion he was too much trouble to be worth the risk when we bought him in the first place, but you hope to be proven wrong. I was of the opinion we should have sold him last summer. I was just beginning to have hope that he was going to prove me wrong and settle down. Then he does it again! He clearly is not going to change and so he has to be moved on.}

4.) 25 Jun 2014 16:49:42
Thanks Ed and I think that is exactly what should be done

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate.}

I hadn't heard about these protests but have to 100% agree- don't do it! How to win friends and influence people- NOT!
Who on earth comes up with these "ideas" whose only effect will be to further reduce the standing of the club and its supporters in a lot of people's minds?

No ALDO1 he is not because we do not have young players of that quality or at least we don't think we have players of that quality but if Ally never gives them a start even after stating that is what he was going to do last season as soon as the league was won we won't ever know for sure.
Dundee United give young Charie Telfer a 3 year contract but Ally doesn't give him a game but then says "United have signed a gem" Where is the logic in that- your correct there is absolutely no logic in that statement and utterly contradictory action.
If he was a "gem" which some of us who saw him a number of times for Gordon Durie's teams agree with shouldn't he have been given a chance when the league was won?

It's all about opinions but we are all bears at the end of the day. You like Ally as a manager some of us don't but telling fellow bears with a different opinion to shut up is schoolboy bully cr@p. Let's grow up eh?

ED001 I saw that documentary and thought Hansen came over very well. I must admit to being surprised at the argument that it was really the experienced players who pulled the team through but not being a follower of any team down south I wouldn't argue with that.
However having done a bit of googling in tmwnn's defense there does appear to be times when 6 youngsters appeared in the side at the same time- Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Gary and Phil Neville and Nicky Butt.
Now probably over the majority of the season there were more experience players than youngsters in the side but as far as I know Man U have never been in Administration or Liquidation.

Our model is not sustainable and youngsters are more affordable but as always it is getting the correct blend of youth and experience but ideally affordable experience.
With a footballing budget of £7million in part time leagues the accounts confirm something nearer Fergie's mix than Ally's mix is the better model for a club who are as completely skint as we are.

Now fairs, fair Bluebeard the OP is nearly correct he is only missing one word and an apostrophe s.
The correct story is "Rangers are keen on young Norwegian Andreas Vindheim's faither"

if this did happen then there would be an interesting change of dynamic between board and manager. From memory Souie and Coisty were definitely not best buds

Jyf no actually were not gutted because our team went through. Difficult concept for you? Well let's see if this wee analogy helps.
Captain Ally and the Easdales and Mr Wallace are wanting us to join them in a luxury hyper expensive cruise ( no for them they get paid- by us) across the Atlantic. We have all seen how the liner is constructed including the £14.4million worth of big holes in the hull. The on board entertainment by the way is widely recognised to be not the best although the acts are all very generously remunerated by us. You lexlau alias John Cass alias bonbon geo the ger, colin mcdonald, jonnostb etc etc jump straight on because you are proper fans. Bigcol, twmnn, billyb, Blue Velvet, me and some others try and point out all the structural faults and doubt the vessels capability to reach port in the eastern seaboard of America some 3,000 miles away and wish you well but decide to support the ship from dry land.
Others like SG75 and BT61 are not sure but because they still have faith in Ally and don't like our negativity even though they too have seen all the holes or structural faults they get on the ship.
3 different sets of opinions about the good ship Rangers. Now who is going to get wet? Answer all of us because the ship has so many holes it will sink and soak us all without leaving the dock
And the only happy laughy ones then will be the Selik and others who dispise us. Now I take some solace from the fact that while we will get wet such is the passion amongst all three sets of fans we will probably still build a new better boat without the holes. And I would rather be us than the pathetic cretins who despise us to such a degree that they get their biggest pleasure in life from our possible permanent drowning.
I just want that new boat quicker than you do pal- that's the only real difference.

Now after the pain we have suffered over the last few years and seeing the enjoyment this gave our cousins from the East it would be very churlish of any of us to take any pleasure from their exit from Europe tonight.
So for goodness sake bears no nasty oldies being rehashed like its a pity there's no word for schadenfreude

OP the fitness of the squad has been an issue for a couple of years now and you would have expected the full time training would win out in the second half against largely part time teams.
I think a couple of the more mature posters mentioned the sand dunes at Gullane near North Berwick which bears in the olden days used to have to run up and down until Sargeant Major Wallace knew the basic core fitness was in place.

Hard work ye cannae whack it -maybe it's time to revisit the seaside.
