Hearing that rangers will make one final take it or leave it bid of 500k plus o'halloran on seasons loan for jamie walker with hearts likely to accept as walker has already given rangers his word that he will sign a pre contract in january if hearts reject this final bid

Rangers3991

1.) 17 Jun 2017 14:13:04
I have been told by a well connected Jambo that this is formally Cathros back me or sack me moment.
It will remain to be seen if the board have the resolve to risk losing money and then the per in six months

2.) 17 Jun 2017 15:15:55
If you look at what Notts Forest have paid for Cummings who in my opinion is not as good an all round footballer as Walker, then you see Cathro's point about holding out for the million, though the fact that his contract up in a year might be a factor

3.) 17 Jun 2017 16:19:15
The fact he has one year left on his contract, told hearts he doesn't want to play there next season ( public knowledge) and if he doesn't get his move, he will run it down. And Hearts will get nothing.

Hearts are going to be the losers here! The quicker they realise this with all the factors included as I have stated above- we kinda have them over a barrel.

Although I think this one will run until the end of the window, when hearts will know doubt come to there senses at the last minute and take the money.

I don't even doubt he'll be a rangers player! It's more a matter of when hearts realise, if they keep him there in a loose-loose situation 1. Unhappy 😔 player. 2. Hearts fans turn against him. 3. Signs A Rangers Pre contract 4. Hearts get nothing.

They need to wake up!

4.) 17 Jun 2017 17:16:03
Think you'll find we'll still have to pay £400k development fee to hearts

5.) 17 Jun 2017 17:17:51
Hearts don't need to wake up they are due 4hk from any club in the uk once he's out of contract 😊

6.) 17 Jun 2017 18:09:56
Loanhead67 so you'd rather keep an unhappy player, damage whatever morale there is in that dressing room, then at the end of it accept £400k instead of £600k now and get it over with? Sad.

7.) 17 Jun 2017 18:54:33
We will sell him when it suits us if means he sits on the bench for six months in you get a half fit player for 400k even better . he will still be better than anything you have at the moment . So take your blue tinted glasses off thinking everyone has to sell to you just because your rangers just remember we take your players make them better in you buy them back for more money 😂😂 but you can keep your holts in wilsons 😂😂

8.) 17 Jun 2017 19:41:25
We are trying to be nice, heard your doing jumble sales trying to raise money to finish your stand,

9.) 17 Jun 2017 21:04:59
Thanks very much i hope you enjoy your trips to the capital to get humped again and again 😂

10.) 17 Jun 2017 21:47:35
Pay the £1mil for walker he worth every penny.

11.) 17 Jun 2017 22:00:59
Well enjoy your trips to the capital to get humped each time again😉

12.) 17 Jun 2017 23:26:50
Patently obvious nobody in Scotland sells to us.

26 May 2017 09:03:53
Hearing that Pena, Cardoso, Bruno Alves and Moult will all be formally anounced as rangers players next thursday with the club working hard to secure other targets aswell. Windass and Tav have also been told they are part of the plans next season unlike the daily record has reported

Rangers3991

1.) 26 May 2017 12:48:49
Sorry Rangers3991, but the Alves one has hit the skids due to personal terms. Cardoso and Pena will complete their moves next week though

2.) 26 May 2017 12:51:21
Additionally the Moult signing will not go through unless Pedro can offload Waggy, which won't be easy.

3.) 26 May 2017 13:55:18
Bruno alves is coming mate along with eliseu mark my words.

4.) 26 May 2017 14:28:50
I'm sure Ryan Jack will sign after the cup final.

reading up on Cardoso, he look a good prospect. They had a good record until he got an injury last year and then started shipping goals. he's the right age for us to punt on as well. only concern is that if was a brilliant prospect then why hasn't one of the big 3 Portuguese clubs snapped him up? time will tell.

personally i'd only pat 350k for Moult, nowhere near the million being touted.

This Pena signing is a gamble in my opinion. He got homesick moving within Mexico, what he going to be like relocating to Glasgow?

5.) 26 May 2017 14:47:44
I will be very happy if all those players mentioned end up at Rangers.

6.) 26 May 2017 16:13:10
Very happy?

7.) 26 May 2017 16:58:21
Yes, Rick Witter! If we secure the three Mexican players we are being linked with + the two Portuguese lads along with Ryan Jack then, with Rossiter back to full fitness and the possibility of Moult joining us then we should have a side that will challenge for the league next season!

Some good young players at the club now, the wasters being shown the door and players that will give 100%, not to mention being decent quality, I will be looking forward to the new Season!

8.) 26 May 2017 19:27:30
Moult is done deal ohalleren plus 50,000

9.) 26 May 2017 20:04:46
Who the hell comes to rangers hears ibrox and feels home sick NO ONE

10.) 26 May 2017 18:08:20
why would u want windass to stay and for mckay to go . sorry but i think this is a mistake from pedro.

we could tie mckay down untill 2020 and could get treble the asking price for the player next summer if not more depending on how well he plays, but letting a boy go that is the most talented boy to come from our youth system in a while is not good buisnes

11.) 26 May 2017 20:54:56
If it was a choice between Moult and Boyce I think it would have to be Boyce, hopefully we have done our homework on both players i wouldn't want to go for Moult just because he has scored more goals against us.

12.) 27 May 2017 06:28:46
Mikel Arteta springs to mind Broximatosis 😂

13.) 27 May 2017 08:40:27
McKay is a wimp! He has ability but doesn't show it on a consistent basis. He doesn't tackle, he doesn't track back to support his full back.

Yes he has potential but it looks to me like Rangers want to cash in on a player that wants more money but hasn't earned it!

14.) 27 May 2017 09:48:32
McKay is a gifted player he just needs to operate on the right and have more confidence in his abilities as for Windass and Crooks they deserve another chance especially Windass he has all the attributes to play in the hole behind a prolific striker and I would keep Halliday and Holt as well they are good squad players and one of Warburtons biggest mistakes was having to a small squad so when we had injuries we had no bench

15.) 27 May 2017 21:34:20
agbroxi, Halliday is one of the worst players at Rangers. If we are fortunate enough to get rid of him we should do so. We need to reduce our wage bill to accommodate new and better signings. Halliday and Kiernan should be two of the first out the door!

16.) 28 May 2017 18:51:03
Keep Halliday am I reading this right!? Worst player I ever seen in my life

17.) 29 May 2017 12:39:45
Gannet, I wouldn't say he is the worst but he is right up there with Jim Denny, albeit that Denny probably got stuck in more again Celtic.

05 May 2017 23:56:33
Rangers linked with portuguese central defender bruno alves. Also heard a bid of 1 million to be placed for vladimir weiss

Rangers3991

1.) 06 May 2017 07:21:42
Weiss was brutal for us.

2.) 06 May 2017 08:23:12
you must be the only rangers fan to think Weiss was brutal

3.) 06 May 2017 08:49:18
He wasn't too hot at the time

4.) 06 May 2017 08:52:37
Rick Witter have to agree with you. One quick free kick doesn't make you a good football player, Weiss is piss

5.) 06 May 2017 09:31:00
If any of you seen him at the euros you'll know that he's matured very well as a player he was brilliant for Slovakia in the euros and that's a much higher standard than the spl

6.) 06 May 2017 09:47:16
Exactly. 1 pass against Celtic and that was more or less it. Never played all the time for that reason, brutal.

7.) 06 May 2017 10:06:53
Motherwellbear. My opinion on Weiss is when he played for Rangers. Not the euros as I haven't seen any of them as I stay in Australia

8.) 06 May 2017 10:13:18
Weiss please no don't understand why people want him back

9.) 06 May 2017 10:24:30
Rick witter so you're saying no based on who he was years and years ago and not the player he is today? Lol logical mate

10.) 06 May 2017 11:53:20
I was really excited seeing Weiss come off the bench against Hibs on his debut for us, he looked a class act. Never produced it reguarly thereafter, glimpses here n there but he had a good euros and looked more consistant. Definitely take him if it was an option.

11.) 06 May 2017 12:41:04
He scored a sensational goal against Russia at the euros and Played well against England too. He had a good tournament. If he is signed and consistent he would be a great addition to this piss poor squad

12.) 06 May 2017 13:24:44
Weiss would be a fantastic signing! The wee man's a complete legend. He's developed well as a player and LOVES the Gers. Just what we need!

13.) 06 May 2017 14:01:29
Weiss was the first player to be able to get bums off the seats with excitement in a long time! Always thought he could do something when he picked up the ball and ran at the defenders. Great player! I would guess way out our price range though and wages would b crazy.

14.) 06 May 2017 14:05:57
Weiss is 10 times better than anything we have at ibrox this moment in time! I would take Naismith and Weiss back anytime because the simple reason being there quality international players! I would build my team around Naismith have wiess out on the wing buy another striker who will bang 20/ 30 goals a season and that's our frontline sorted!

15.) 06 May 2017 14:27:15
So let me get this straight, one of Pedros main targets is a 35yr old defender and another player who was bang average first time at Ibrox! No wonder we are in such a god awful mess. Should be signing hungry young players who we can sell on, make some money and get the club moving forward. What the heck is going on at ibrox

16.) 06 May 2017 14:33:15
Weiss for me wasnt great first time round and i think it was more to do with his antics in the crowd at the last OF game of the 2011 season that endeared him to us then his tweets since he left. That said nobody could argue that he must be better than what's there at the moment

17.) 06 May 2017 16:05:34
Think pedro said in his interviews about player recruitment that he would only be wanting to sign "men". Doubt he'll be going for young hungry players, he'll want to get guys that know how to get the job done. There's less risk that way.

18.) 06 May 2017 17:04:26
RonnieR9, even at 35 years old, bruno alves would still be a tremendous signing for us! Have you actually seen this guy play? He's a terrific centre half and everything we're needing! In Italy the teams there have many good defenders and in a country where defending is considered an art, bruno alves is certainly 1 of them! We would get at least 3 good years out of him in this league! Alves would breeze it playing in the spfl premiership!

19.) 06 May 2017 19:14:57
I appreciate what your saying but at 35 regardless of his experience in Italy I still believe we should be signing younger players that will benefit the team in years to come. As a short term option yes he would be a good signing tho, certainly better than what we have!

20.) 07 May 2017 09:46:40
I have to say when Weiss played for rangers he was a boy who showed in glimpses what he could do, he was very exciting but like Barry McKay not consistent enough, but now the boy has turned into a man and has some consistency to his game, also wears his heart on his sleeve, he would be a very welcome addition for me

21.) 07 May 2017 11:08:57
Every single player we sign doesn't have to have sell on value. yes in a perfect world the majority would but we still need 1 or 2 with genuine big time experience and you don't get that from 20 year olds.

01 May 2017 15:11:30
Hearing that a bid of 800k tabled for dorrans been rejected and norwich not looking to sell for any less than 3.5 million. Also heard another 2 bids been placed for a midfielder who plays in mexico and a centre back playing in the bulgarian league. No names as yet on midfielder and defender

Rangers3991

1.) 01 May 2017 16:57:32
Bring in ali crawford instead he's about 6 year younger and will score the same amount of goals and would cost buttons

2.) 01 May 2017 18:40:14
Dorrans miles ahead of Crawford for me. Hopefully 800k starting bid with much more room to increase.

3.) 01 May 2017 18:38:11
JD90 Crawford would be a huge step in the wrong direction, he's nowhere near the standard required. And before you ask, I've seen Accies this season as often as I've seen us. Average player in a Mickey Mouse team.

4.) 01 May 2017 21:11:37
Surely the better choice than spending £2.5-3million on dorrans. Crawford has room to improve too. The need to spend what little money we have wisely

5.) 01 May 2017 21:19:52
Can you make bids for players just now?

6.) 01 May 2017 22:57:01
JLS no you can't

7.) 02 May 2017 06:17:00
Cheers JD, just because the poster says a bid had been "tabled" for Dorrans

8.) 02 May 2017 15:56:00
he said it had been knocked back which is nonsense as there has been no bid but they may have approached they club to find out what it would take and been told where to go.
dorrans is a good player and better than what we have but if they want anymore than 1.5 for him then i'd be looking elsewhere as 2 million could get us better than that if we look abroad

26 Apr 2017 09:45:11
Former player Kyle Lafferty says he would jump at the chance to rejoin rangers

Rangers3991

1.) 26 Apr 2017 10:35:20
Not this rubbish again.

2.) 26 Apr 2017 10:37:40
So he keeps saying, we need better than a player who struggles for form all season until the last 4 or 5 games.

3.) 26 Apr 2017 12:02:34
Id take Lafferty back in a sec, put all the rubbish to 1 side for a moment abt what was said and done 5yr ago, he's far better than what we've got and same goes for Naismith. Rangers being successful means more to me than anything and in signing these 2,i think that would be a start. they also know what it takes to be a winner

4.) 26 Apr 2017 12:23:54
Agree with you completely jls, miles better than both garner and waghorn, and to get on a free would be good, as long as his wage demands weren't too high

5.) 26 Apr 2017 12:52:55
He's available on a free and to be honest he's record up here speaks for itself and he's improved his game since he was last at Rangers albeit playing with better players around him.

if we manage to get 1.5 million between selling Garner and Waghorn then i'd definitely be in favor of taking on lafferty on a free with another striker/ attacker to come in obviously of better quality than the 2 we are selling, personal choice again would be Weiss!

Waggy scored for fun last year but again its safe to say that was his level, Lafferty has proved he can score in the SPL and at the most crucical times of the season as well!

6.) 26 Apr 2017 12:54:57
Its 4 or 5 good games more than Waghorn and Garner give us

7.) 26 Apr 2017 13:41:59
No chance of getting Naismith glad after all the sevco pish he spouted at that press conference that I can't forgive

8.) 26 Apr 2017 13:53:37
I would happily take these two back. If they want to show the fans they regret what happened then sign a contract worth 2k a week! Play for the jersey not the money. that will show how much they want to come back!

9.) 26 Apr 2017 14:22:02
honestly, i am fed up hearing about the old days.
id take naismith back and without hesitation alan mcgregor.
both are international level players, and without shadow of a doubt better than our current championship team.
if they want to come back and we can offer a wage that works for both party, then why not?
someone on here said before - these guys don't have 40 or 50 year careers, and if someone can't guarantee that they will be working or paid next month then i'd be on my out the door too. yeah some things were said in the heat of the moment - but we've all done that.
we need all the help we can get - building a team on the park that can challenge rivals. they did it before, heres hoping they would like to do it again.

10.) 26 Apr 2017 15:36:10
Lafferty is by no means a great player but when compared to Waghorn and Garner i'd still rather have him

11.) 26 Apr 2017 15:46:35
course he would but we need better than him he is an awfull player and was a disgrace to the badge the last time.
i don't care he left when he did i don't blame anyone for that but laffetry is mince

12.) 26 Apr 2017 15:49:34
He wasnt one of the 28 who ran away and he would be better than we have provided he is fit.

13.) 26 Apr 2017 15:53:08
He's better than garner and waghorn but that doesn't mean we should sign him. Apart from his northern ireland record his goal record is rubbish. He only wants to come back now we've done the hard bit and got through the divisions. I'd maybe just have naismith back, and would like dorrans. The only two norwich players we should be targeting

14.) 26 Apr 2017 16:05:35
course he would but we need better than him he is an awfull player and was a disgrace to the badge the last time.
i don't care he left when he did i don't blame anyone for that but laffetry is mince

15.) 26 Apr 2017 16:06:34
He wasnt one of the 28 who ran away and he woild be better than we have provided he is fit.

16.) 26 Apr 2017 16:09:38
How no chance on getting naismith? Some people have claimed it's already a done deal? So what makes you so certain?

17.) 26 Apr 2017 16:11:10
Marty, do you not think it is a backward step taking players who will not have a sell on value, but will command sizeable wages? That was the problem under Murray, for the most part at least. Personally, I would prefer to develop players and hopefully sell on with a decent profit.

18.) 26 Apr 2017 16:28:50
We need someone who is fast and can find the net, our strikers are as slow as a week in the jail 😂

19.) 26 Apr 2017 16:44:41
Cuillin,
I don't think it is - maybe if all we do is sign 30 year old players then yeah, but experience is essetnial on and off the park - especially for bringing the youngsters on. if i was a young rangers player and i thought that i could be lining up on the team sheet besides the likes of naismith, or mcgregor, or bougherra, or whoever - i'd be excited and wanting to show what i can do, praise from people like (people they used to support and idolise) that brings confidence. if they were gona be your team mate. i'd play out my skin for that chance - that's the fight we need.

20.) 27 Apr 2017 13:22:28
i would like to say to all you haters of all the people that left 5 years ago when they had little choice about it i wouldn't stay at my job for 25 percent of what i'm earning just now and i love my job .

most of you lot sing about king kenny but are quick to forget about him kissing the celtic badge when he scored against us and can forgive all of that but draw the line at people not taking a wage cut and playing their best years in the bottom of scottish football.

p.s. i don't care that kenny did that either just putting it out there to all the people out there that think that way.

21.) 27 Apr 2017 17:37:49
Certainly Naismith has 2 years left on his contract would cost too much I don't want him anywhere old days it was only 5 year ago he started sevco pish

Any news on when our kits will be released for next season?

Rangers3991

1.) 25 May 2017 11:24:25
I'm baffled to why people care about next seasons kit.

2.) 25 May 2017 11:36:30
Are you insane? Why would you even consider getting one!

3.) 25 May 2017 14:13:55
Not that I'd buy one for myself rather international tops due longevity and money's worth but if my kid wants the strip of the club he supports I've to say no because there's a boycott to which at his age wouldn't understand?

4.) 25 May 2017 14:21:24
Everytime I see someone wearing a new kit I think to myself "How can someone be so oblivious to what is going on? "

5.) 25 May 2017 15:13:02
G4rry

Im the same mate, how can I explain to a 4 year old he can't have the strip due to a boycott

6.) 25 May 2017 15:19:36
My Dad's partners kids clubbed together and bought him the new top for his birthday so he could wear it when I took him up for the Motherwell game last month. Was feared to be seen with him in case anyone gave him a hard time, but you can't exactly say thanks but no thanks for the present!
(Shame it's a nice top too! )

7.) 25 May 2017 15:31:35
we should all just buy they independent blue jerseys cannot mind the name.

they give all the money back to the team so i'm all for that.

dont want to give ashley any extra cash

8.) 26 May 2017 19:24:13
the last few years have been hard as I've had to tell my son who was five at first that the man that makes the tops is stealing from rangers so we can't buy them and instead he got the Barcelona strip which to be honest he seemed to love just as much as he would have a rangers top so there is how u tell a kid what's what

We need to get players of a much higher quality than what has been linked so far, with aberdeen having a good squad, st johnstone and hearts will improve over the summer and hibs coming up with a decent team that will no doubt be strengthened over the summer we cannot afford another terrible transfer window or we could struggle for top 3. Hopefully pedro has some real quality coming in, even on a tight budget quality can be found if you know where to look so let's hope pedro does and get us back to at least a very comfortable second place finish
