Media saying big eck will be manager till the end of the season and move into the director of football post, which I feel is a great move as the DOF will be in charge of recruitment and big Eck is great at spotting a talented player.

1.) 16 Feb 2017 11:04:04
ARE YOU JOKING? The other thing Eck is really really bad at was talent spotting - Going by the dross he brought to Rangers / Villa / Brum …. sorry but NO i hope this is wrong

2.) 16 Feb 2017 11:23:41
Didn't he bring in Hamed Namouchi? He was the worst player I'd seen play regularly until a certain Rob Kiernan showed up.

3.) 16 Feb 2017 12:25:16
Don't need to worry much longer about Rob Kiernan he's put his Glasgow property up for sale and looking for a move back south.

Brian Kidd to be installed as DoF

Partick Vieira to be head coach

Watch this space guys

Manchester city owners looking to invest huge money in us in the summer

4.) 16 Feb 2017 12:42:45
Dode - doubt it mate

5.) 16 Feb 2017 12:51:55
RFCINFINITY belive it or not mate. Just passing on what I've heard from my mate who's son is in the development squad. Said Kidd was up last week looking around and running his eye over how we were set up. Stewart Robertson and him left together to be wined and dinned. Not my first choice but hope it can work out for us.

6.) 16 Feb 2017 13:42:24
And presumably said son broke the news on Viera becoming head coach and Citeh splashing the cash? give over mate

7.) 16 Feb 2017 13:50:54
Surely some conflict of interest would be mentioned to UEFA, like with Cashley and his involvement with Newcastle.
City's owners have a club in each continent to avoid these conflicts - such as if Gers ever faced City in Champions League etc.

8.) 16 Feb 2017 13:30:25
doubt it why would man city owners want anything to do with scottish football they already have one of the best teams in the big EPL

9.) 16 Feb 2017 13:53:27
Eck is great at spotting a talented player

vanoli capucho emerson ostenstadt maniero

we need to look fwd as a club - not keep going back

Eck won some trophies but also signed some utter dross and we finished 3rd behind hearts

10.) 16 Feb 2017 15:09:51
Dodethebluenoise, Your comment is now on @Gregco5088. You are famous mate.

11.) 16 Feb 2017 16:24:43
Am sure that's what the owners do discuss plans with youth players that's a good yin 😂😂

12.) 16 Feb 2017 16:37:36
Lead to what, being laughed at? Unless he is willing to work for free like matchday volunteers.

13.) 16 Feb 2017 18:43:40
El Munro - He also signed boumsong, hendami, novo, and prso. I don't want him back but you can't argue against those 4. Hendami was in the UEFA cup final team and the rest speak for themselves.

14.) 16 Feb 2017 19:53:56
He also signed Buffel Frank De Boer and big Marv Andrews

15.) 16 Feb 2017 20:19:35
Are you extracting the urine? Good at spotting talent. He was awful. As for Buffel, always injured and I would hardly claim signing Frank De Boer makes you good at spotting talent. Would love to sign Ronaldo but even if we did doesn't mean we would be good at spotting talent.

16.) 16 Feb 2017 23:27:22
El minto. he also got us to last 16 of champions league. going out on goal difference to a very good villareal side. Hearts would probably have won the league that season had Romanov not hunted Burley when they were top of league. He won the first 5 trophies of his reign including a Treble and towards the end of his tenure Murray stopped backing him in the transfer market. As for Birmingham they were relegated but had the smallest budget in EPL. You also have to remember he won the League Cup in England. something the likes of moyes or even oor Watty never managed. Also did a decent job at Ghent. So compared to most of the supposed candidates. give me Eck anyday

17.) 17 Feb 2017 07:33:56
Dode give me some of what you've been taking bro. No one will touch us due to sports direct deal. Wake up and smell the coffee mate

18.) 17 feb 2017 14:34:11
dick left him a world class team and by the end of his tenure he spent a load of money on international players and left the team finishing 3rd in the league.

i don't see him as the answer for the long run but might steady the ship until the end of the season

14 Feb 2017 12:16:46
I saw an article saying that if de boar gets the job in the summer he will bring his brother as assistant manager and also create a world wide scouting network as this is where he feels we fall short of finding talent abroad and also use contact in Holland to find some amazing talent like Dick Advocaat did.

1.) 14 Feb 2017 12:48:25
Is he going to pay for the scouting system?

2.) 14 Feb 2017 12:33:31
And you actually believe that we are now in a financial position to do this?

3.) 14 Feb 2017 12:56:55
Must have a few bob so could ask him lol

4.) 14 Feb 2017 13:30:19
All very good in theory storm but we don't have a pot to p*ss in at the moment especially with the fat cockney man still hanging around us, until he goes for good I really can't see where the money to pay frank deboer as manager is going to come from never mind pay for scouting networks and transfer money for players as well

5.) 14 Feb 2017 14:05:22
Where is this article?

6.) 14 Feb 2017 15:05:26
McInnes has just resigned - he is our new manager i reckon

7.) 14 Feb 2017 15:13:50
Perhaps de boer is refering to his own various contacts he has built over his playing years. Makes me wonder why none of our ex players hav seen a young lad in a foreign league and given rangers a heads up. Mols, albertz, laudrup, gio surely hav seen someone at some point and thought they could do a job for us. Problem is ther who would they call n would they trust that a players career could be enhanced moving to rangers?

06 Feb 2017 18:52:07
MW and DW are away at the end of the season and the rumoured short list for the job is as follows:

Shota Arveladze
Barry Ferguson
Frank De boar
Dick Advocaat
Walter Smith
Michael O'Neil

1.) 06 Feb 2017 19:21:33
the only one with the slightest chance we have is Barry Ferguson

De Boer Dream on

Dick Dream on

2.) 06 Feb 2017 19:24:30
Advocate would be on 40 grand a week pm there is 2 million for him, warburton and weir both got 2 year to run pm there is another 2 million. Buy 5 decent players at say 20 grand a week there is another 5 million before you even take transfers into account. So that's season ticket money away with a full season to pay staff. It's not happening unless there is major investment.

3.) 06 Feb 2017 19:50:51

4.) 06 Feb 2017 20:06:13
What planet are you on. The only 1 I'd take would be de boer

5.) 06 Feb 2017 20:12:54

Advocaat would want millions to spend again and would put us in the shit

Barry is young and inexperienced and whenever I check Clyde results they always lose or draw

Frank de boer yes please

Walter no thanks. Would ruin his reputation as we're in a mess

Wouldn't mind Michael o'neill he gets the best out of average players and builds on a solid defence at the same time as playing decent football

6.) 06 Feb 2017 19:14:32
Are you on the board or something or have you just made that up?

{Ed033's Note - This is a rangers rumours page!

7.) 06 Feb 2017 20:26:25
Where did you get that shortlist? Petrol station, delivery driver, a coach? Don't keep us waiting, we need to know if this true or not.

{Ed033's Note - Petrol station i would guess

8.) 06 Feb 2017 21:21:16
De boer to ibrox

9.) 06 Feb 2017 21:57:01
Managers without contract are first in line and yes frank de boer is number 1, how he needs his reputation back in line he can go to mid table bottom end of epl and be in a scrap week in and out.

If he gets the Rangers job and there is investment of at least 15 million for the summer then he will be there and he won't be with Ronald, it will be Orlando trustfull, we have also understood in past 48 hours Big eck, Walter smith has pulled out maybe they have watched the horror show and doesn't want the grief.

now Barry Ferguson has stated to numerous close board members who he is close with the parks ect that he would act as a interm manager until end of season for a pride and honour for the fans.

10.) 06 Feb 2017 22:11:11
@rangerstorm - the only one we could afford would be BF and that would be a total disaster in my eyes as he isn't exactly doing the business at Clyde.

11.) 07 Feb 2017 09:11:00
Michael O'Neill could potentially be a great manager for us.

12.) 07 Feb 2017 12:57:47
Spot on Lance Armstrong.

13.) 07 Feb 2017 13:27:56
Alex Mclesh will the new manager with Barry as a assistant there will be money to spend if some can be offloaded from the wage bill asa severance pkg will have to be agreed with the current management team so there goes more funds . But most of all if there is 2 nd place then the board will appoint a total yes man like Stuart McCall who also fancies it, so stop all the nonsense about De bore and millions to spend it's embarrassing

14.) 07 Feb 2017 15:11:46
Why are so many people on here delusional? Advocaat, Averladze De boer? Where is this money coming from? We can't afford to sack Warburton let alone pay for the wages of two of the above. Been an up and down season granted. But I think there's a lot of over reaction going on here. Last season warbs was the best thing since sliced bread now he's getting slaughtered every week. Long gone are the days of pumping millions of pounds into the club. I for one agree with the way the board are building the club back up from the ground. What would you prefer? Millions of pounds spent and the club liquidated yet again? We need to get out heads out the clouds here.

15.) 07 Feb 2017 19:20:34
Sorry but where are Rangers going to get £15-20 millions that keeps getting talked about? You are still waiting for then £30m King promised. Does that mean £45m is coming in the summer? Get real. You cannot even afford to sack Warburton no matter bring in someone like Deboer. You need a reality check. This financial mess you are in will go on for years. No one will invest as you are spending far more than you bring in so any investment would be used to pay debt. Who would do that? Rangers need to do what Celtic do and buy cheap young players and sell them for big profit and then invest in more young hungry players which in turn will win games and trophies and then get you into Europe to get the big money. Forget this angel investor who will come in and buy the league for you. Haven't any of you learnt your lesson?

16.) 08 Feb 2017 09:41:23
Waht lesson is that? it's Whyte who should be learning a lesson.

17.) 07 Feb 2017 23:43:01
i take it the De Boer being talked about is Hans Christian De Boer, the story teller who works part time in the shell petrol station in Rotterdam?

18.) 08 Feb 2017 20:17:24
People keep saying BF isn't doing brilliant at Clyde but he doesn't have very much to work with at Clyde (not to say I think he should be manager of us just yet but he will be a decent manager at some point)

20 Jan 2017 11:40:05
rangers have sent scouts to the African cup of nations to scout a couple of young talented players and also to scout out a solid defender and I also have heard that we are looking for a possible signing of a central defender from Leeds by the name of viera.

1.) 20 Jan 2017 12:42:14
What scouts?

2.) 20 Jan 2017 12:58:12
I thot we only had 1 scout (Mcpartland)

3.) 20 Jan 2017 13:26:30
There is only one scout and I think McP is scared of flying as mainland UK is his market

4.) 20 Jan 2017 14:29:02
no we have sent tonto and bigchief in canoes no frills scouting network

5.) 20 Jan 2017 14:35:56
they've clearly said previously they have a network of people who report to them. Most likely former players in USA, Europe, that kind of thing. I don't doubt someone with ties to Rangers is there watching the games

6.) 20 Jan 2017 16:45:01
I'm sure there are free-lance scouts who can be sent anywhere to watch players. They don't necessarily have to be on rangers books

12 Jan 2017 21:11:07
Rangers to use Freddie woodman loan deal at killie as a way of scouting him and then sign him in the summer from Newcastle if he does well he has been mentioned as the next big goalie to come out of England so I hope this happened.

1.) 13 Jan 2017 13:35:16
If he's supposed to be the next best thing he wouldn't be on loan to Kilmarnock with all due respect. Again if he is the next best thing we won't have a hope in hell in signing him.

2.) 13 Jan 2017 16:26:36
Kasper Schmeichel and Darren Randolph both spent time in the SPL on loan and are now goalies I would take in a heartbeat. Don't be so quick to judge!

3.) 13 Jan 2017 23:30:24
Can't believe it has come to this. You have rangers fans asking fellow bears what they think of trying to sign Andy little. I know it's changed days and we're far off signing the quality that we have in the past but I think we need to push for a bit more than Andy little. I think every striker we have is better than him, although every striker we have are so far off the level we need to be at. TGF kenny miller. NO MORE pensioners or young lone players or out of contract hasbeens. I know you will have the folk who are gonnae give it all the " we don't have money" crap. But money needs spent or we will Just be another Aberdeen or hearts. We have to put a gap between us and the rest before we can even dream of competing with the manly mob.

4.) 13 Jan 2017 23:56:28
Can't see us doing business with Mike Ashley EVER!

5.) 14 Jan 2017 00:31:07
Have to be realistic when it comes to our budget at the moment we need investment but we won't get it until Ashley is out the picture and that not going anywhere fast so we do need to scrape the barrel for decent players who are out of contract or loan deals until we have the financial strength to spend more don't want to back down to the basement again so they can laugh it up

6.) 14 Jan 2017 10:58:36
Gaze I seem to remember a club in spl getting a goalkeeper on loan from Newcastle and then signing him and selling him for 10 million £s if only you had scouts that good

7.) 14 Jan 2017 16:54:45
I think I might just settle for having Scouts!

25 Feb 2017 12:00:46
I have to say watching the rangers game it is about time some of these players get dropped I would give a few reserve players a shot as they can't do much worse maybe give alnwick a shot in goals and bates a shot in defence.

1.) 25 Feb 2017 12:34:12
I think the only players I would keep for next season are fod mackay and Miller. Would keep Wallace as well but not as captain. The only other thing that we could hope for is a manager that can get a lot better out of they imposters much like Rodgers has done with Armstrong Forrest and broon.

2.) 25 Feb 2017 15:09:01
Thought Foderingham played well v Inverness so why drop him with so much pressure on the team to get results now is not the time to play young players.

14 Feb 2017 01:03:48
I don't know if anyone will agree with me but I am actually glad the MW is gone as look at all the key players he missed out on signing cause he was not ruffles enough and also all the young talent that he realist cause he did not think they were good enough has this club not learned to let talent shine since they scrapped rino and said he was not good enough and then became one of the best midfielders in the world.

1.) 14 Feb 2017 12:06:50
What key players did he miss out on?

2.) 14 Feb 2017 11:38:39
We didn't scrap Rino gattuso. Advocat wanted him to play a more defensive midfield role and he thought he was best attacking. After he went on to become one of the best defensive midfielders in the world he admitted that advocat was right and he should have listened.

19 Aug 2016 13:33:48
Anyone think we will sign senderos and lescott as I would not see any point in keeping him training with us if we are not going to sign him.

1.) 19 Aug 2016 14:18:43
If senderos was what we needed then why was MW pulling out all the stops to sign someone else.

Remember MW rubbished reports of senderos several weeks ago. What's changed- we have got desperate.

Where is the strategy and long term planning here?

2.) 19 Aug 2016 14:28:52
I reckon we will offer Senderos a contract (he was my preferred choice as Lescott is slow and older) . Whether or not he accepts remains to be seen.

3.) 19 Aug 2016 15:42:25
Lescott played 33 games for Villa last year. With Villa relegated the are trimming the financial fat. Senders was allowed to join Grasshopers in Jan on a 6 month contract which was not renewed. On paper, Leacott had more game time and confidence from his previous management. So MW is wise to see him in training himself before making any decisions. I don't think we are desperate. I think we are being smart.

10 Apr 2016 12:03:27
A few guys in the pub were talking about possible targets for rangers next season and they were saying this is who they would like to see come in. would love to get everyone's view on this

Serge N'Guessan
Cheick Doukoure
Clinton N'Jie
Emmanuel Frimpong
Alex Iwobi
Yassin Fortune
Abiola Dauda
Stephen Hendrie
Will Vaulks
Blair Alston
Donald love
Tim Fosu-Mensah.

1.) 12 Apr 2016 08:09:39
Some of the African ones there is not enough knowledge about to be honest. Not just footballing terms but off the field. Ixobi and Mensah have broke through for their teams and wouldn't be heading to Rangers. Frimpong no chance, alarm bells ringing with that guy. Would take N'Jie on loan, wouldn't mind Hendrie, Vaulks and maybe Alston, don't know enough about Love.

2.) 12 Apr 2016 13:31:01
Vaulks, and N'Jie on loan from Tottenham who both probably fit the profile Warbs looks for when signing a player.
Iwobi has already played in first team at Arsenal so i don't think he will be heading to Ibrox but who knows.

04 Jan 2016 23:51:45
Is there any news on the two trialist we have had in the past few months the Latvian striker and also the young ex wolves winger.

1.) 05 Jan 2016 21:24:08
have the feeling we don't fancy either of them, just need to wait and see.

I am a Falkirk and a Rangers supporter and watch both teams and I can tell you that will vaulks is a CDM and is also a very strong defender and scores plenty of goals with his head out jumping most defenders.
