Anyone still think we won't challenge next year! That other mob are a shambles and their best player just bought his ticket out of "paradise"

I say bring it on, In Warbs we trust!

Celtic are on a totally different level to us mate. Every one of their players is world class and destined for the higher echelons of world football. They truly are an amazing club. Saying that what an embarrassment last night. Only 3-1 to Molde, they should be ashamed.

2.) 23 Oct 2015 12:51:25
What player steff. celtic are buying up good young scottish talent but i'm afraid that going to be there downfall. christie armstrong and allen in matedfield. rangers would beat that everyday of the week and there zonal marking shocking. as soon as they come up against a footballing side who want to win they stryggle. most scottish teams go there not to lose by 5.1 or 2 ok tho lol. we go there to win.

3.) 23 Oct 2015 18:46:20
Cuillin72 wtf are you on mate.

4.) 23 Oct 2015 19:27:06
Gary, I think you missed the joke mate.

5.) 24 Oct 2015 09:29:44
cullin72 liked the post mate but could you sit in a pub with a straight face? love it.

6.) 24 Oct 2015 19:27:35
You have conveniently forgotten that in your one game against a spl team this season your team were pumped 3-1 at home, a middle to bottom spl team at that, a team we beat consistently home and away . Yes we had a bad night in Europe BUT we are still the best in Scotland by some distance. let's not forget, your team the night before struggled to a one nil victory at home against a part time team with not even a twentieth of your budget, that's the reality.

7.) 25 Oct 2015 07:45:10
Wondered what had happened to you Fab. It's been awfully quiet on here the last few days. There's been a real dearth of dh88 and gaz1 and Timalloy etc. Can't think why! Can you? lol. Pmsl and lmao etc etc
Is this the same St Johnstone that beat you at home last season and also recently pumped the sheep? Also, you should be embarrassed coming on here and even trying to defend that pitiful excuse for a team after that showing. Your club has serious issues from top to bottom pal and I really think you should be worrying deeply that you may not be in such a good position to challenge us when we come back next year. Your time is coming to an end! Why, why, why, Delilah!

8.) 25 Oct 2015 08:17:56
It's easy to talk big when your stuck in the championship. we will see how you do against teams who are all full time and have a similar or bigger budget, so far the evidence points to not very well.

9.) 25 Oct 2015 11:07:47
Fab1 would that be the same St Johnstone who the following week went out and stuck 5 past the league leaders at the time Aberdeen. Who beat your mob only weeks before that.

10.) 25 Oct 2015 16:16:21
The evidence? One game? A team that beat your team last season and humped the then league leaders a few weeks ago? Do you not think you're being a little unfair given that we've now won eleven league games on the trot? Do you not think Rangers are capable of beating St Johnstone? Your bitterness is clouding your judgement I'm afraid.

11.) 25 Oct 2015 20:36:21
You keep harping back to a st Johnstone win against the champions last season so on that basis we can take your semi final defeat without getting a shot on target and your 6-1 humiliation and the hands of the spls second worst team and the fact that a hearts team who won the championship at a canter but are six points behind a Celtic team after only 12 games, a Celtic team who have not even shifted out of second gear, all this is real evidence, coupled with the fact your team in the past week your team has struggled past a part time team and last seasons worst spl team by far 1-0, don't get me wrong if dodgy Dave invested his 30 millon on five or six international players you would be up there challenging but with the team you have, even if you keep them all and add a couple more journey men ( which I think he will do ) is not going to be winning the spl .

12.) 25 Oct 2015 22:15:36
You are talking about last season's debacle. Di you honestly think Motherwell would beat us 6-1 or we would not have a shot on target if we played your team? If a mid table Norwegian team with very limited cash and resources can absolutely hump you then how would you rate our chances? Now toddle off to your own boards and leave Gers business to Gers fans.

Looking for news online about the AGM, but mate tells me that board have requested that the stock exchange allow them to decline the request. Something to do with King and the 3bears having a partnership and that app arently is against the rules.

Surely his cannot be true or happen. I thought an EGM could only be refused on procedural grounds ie paperwork not done right or by granting the request of hose who request EGM. As neither of Hesse have happened the EGM must go ahead and all these thieves removed from Ibrox ASAP!

Good luck to the new boys on and hopefully off the pitch. Not the fault of the players that they are caught up in this shambles and I hope they bring a bit of dig and kill to our team!

StefReid

1.) 06 Feb 2015 09:38:42
Stefreid. this board would say they lost the paper work to get out it. boffoons the word here. if stock market and nomad do there jobs I don't see how it wouldn't go through. as for king an bears, they would need evidence I would presume. they won't find any, I think king and bears planned 2 prong approch, bears neogotiating with board, king waiting to see outcome, they went with ashley. then king done his approch, to look independant of bears to nulify that accusation.

2.) 06 Feb 2015 12:51:07
They may ga some dig. But rest won't play baw Kenny mc as thrown a big spanner in the works here.

Good point without really playing well. I know there are thoughts that Celtic will lie down to them but can't see it. A draw at Easter road would be good enough for 2nd and I think if we match them for fight then it should get done. I would live the sheep to finish 4th but end of day makes no difference. Heard McGinn is being touted around but gers have said not interested. Think SG has alternatives in mind, hope so!

StefReid

1.) 09 May 2018 13:25:07
They might not lie down to Aberdeen but with a Cup Final coming up I can't see them going at it 100%.

As for McGinn, I reckon he's a fantastic prospect. Would improve our team instantly.

2.) 09 May 2018 14:18:03
Yeah Celtic won't lie down but they will rest some players. And they won't won't to risk injury in a meaningless game with the cup final coming up. Aberdeen will edge it

02 May 2018 09:08:29
So having seen SG on the tv last night I am convinced the deal is done. Whether he will be good or not we will have to see but I am positive. I also think he will have been guaranteed money. Not the big figures mentioned here but 10/ 15 million. Add to that the loan and youth players he will bring plus money from the many sales that are now likely then we will have more than enough to go toe to toe with Celtic.

StefReid

1.) 02 May 2018 10:13:18
It's hard to sell players that are not performing? wouldn't expect a lot of the donkeys to bring in much in the way of £££

2.) 02 May 2018 10:33:29
Much same opinion as you Stef. apart from the money side of it as timco have in excess of 70 million in the bank to spend.
They don't need to spend tuppence to compete in the SPFL as they have NO REAL competition in the league and that is why Brenda will be with them till they get ten in a row
GUARANTEED.
They "will" have to spend if they want to compete in Europe and avoid their past humiliation there. Remember Brenda's moan that timco could not compete with the financial advantage Europe league clubs had. ha ha ha .

3.) 02 May 2018 10:44:17
Am far from convinced Stevie G will agree to come to Ibrox. I just can't see how we can assure him of the budgets that he'll want to compete with Celtic. And he'll want those assurances in writing as he will know of King's reputation.

4.) 02 May 2018 13:26:04
Sellik haven’t got 70m not even with the Seville/ dembele calculator

I thought with the agreement arnfield, and the offers to mcgregor and MacArthur that we must be going down the road of director and head coach.

For me it's a yes to all 3 above, happy with SG and I am confident Allan has a few Centre halves lined up.

For me nothing but positives and a well done to much maligned Board.

Last night was bad but I wanted to say a word for Murty the man if not the coach. Clearly doesn't want to be in the role but I wish we had a few more of with his character and pride of rangers in the starting 11. He strikes me as a decent, honest man and worthy of a post at rangers (just not manager)

It is important to get the right man that's obvious but if this is going to go on and the board must know this then an interim manager such as Mcleish, McCall or similar must be put in place now.

Hopefully all resolved and we kick on after AGM.

Jermaine Defoe anyone? He would have a field day up here.

StefReid

1.) 13 May 2017 02:23:44
No chance he would sign

2.) 13 May 2017 03:06:27
Yes he would but we can't afford him!

3.) 13 May 2017 08:00:45
Totally pointless post. Yes he would score for fun but there's not a chance he would even consider it.

4.) 13 May 2017 14:47:23
Banter site James2016?

5.) 13 May 2017 15:34:43
It is not a case of him not considering it, it is a case that we don't have the funds and I am not sure that right now our Board has that level of ambition!

I was also told the hateley deal was all but done (all be it it was my brother in law who is a Tim, ) he was delighted as thinks it's a rubbish signing I however disagree and think he and all signings should come with a bit of fire in their belly!

I read this too, reading the article the only positive is that it means that the club is in a position to offer ibrox as security means they definitely own it and not wee craig! However this means that another loan is on the way! Surely this must be the last straw, he must be stopped or his strangle hols will be complete. Call an EGM and get him off the board and let the 3 bears and king start the rebuild. Even if it means a few steps back in the long run it must be better!

I am confident the deal is done Stevie and already working on ins and outs. He might be next Pep or as we keep getting told Barnes but I for one think it is a good signing and will drive us towards Celtic as I don’t believe we are as far behind as numerous pundits and media love to tell us

I genuinely think Motherwell will win on Sunday and while I welcome it I think I it could mean moult has a few offers to consider possibly including one from them as Dembele leaving leaves them with only one

Good source of income. 4 matches at home with i roc full and bouncing. Latter rounds on tv. Should be a good windfall and added to income from group stages will help with our climb to top

No DDB I agree. I will get shot down for this and expect lots of comments from other side about 30 points but I don't think there is much between the teams. I would single out Sinclair as a match winner and another reason why we should play hodson. But other than that I think it is less about any gab in ability between the two teams and more to do with belief, confidence and a good coach. Who knows what GM has got the players feeling but I certainly don't think a win is beyond us and at least capable of a decent draw where we give as good as we get.
