Some may laugh but I have been told that RVP has been offered a contract. MW could not believe himself that it was being considered by RVP but he feels that he missed out once before and this might be a great chance to bang in the goals again. if he signs or not I am not sure but Dave King has said he will fund the deal first year and European football has to fund it for the Second year. if RVP signs then no defender will sign apart from a loan deal as cover.

1.) 26 Jul 2016 23:51:14
Depends on who told you,? Depends on wether we laugh or not.

2.) 27 Jul 2016 01:51:03
RVP went to Turkey because he wanted some big money before he packs it in (fair play to him, many others do it) if we are being even slightly realistic, it's not behond the realms to sign him in a couple years when he's well passed his peak, but now? Come on guys, I want to dream big, but seriously folks this is some Santa clause (insert expletive) right here. First we have to pay to buy him as he's in contact (maybe a few million if lucky) then we have to fund the Ronaldo sized wages. I'm not trying to sound a total grinch (following the theme) but stop on the RVP stuff, it's behond silly.

3.) 27 Jul 2016 02:47:07
Well I can see the guy taking a big pay cut just to get out of Istanbul! No European n their right mind would want to be living in that city right now!

4.) 27 Jul 2016 06:33:25
Two players my mate told me were:
Martin Caceres and Dimitar Berbatov.

5.) 27 Jul 2016 07:27:32
Honestly, there's no chance we can grab palyers of the calibre of Caceres due to wages, appeal and competition for his sig. He's got almost 70 caps for Uruguay.

The best hope for us is to get someone who isn't moving for the money aka Joey B and Kranj. There will always be a team who can outbid us for the likes of Berbatov, RVP or Adebayor (especially with the emergence of the chinese, US and middle east markets- it all comes down to what they want. trophies or a last pay day.

6.) 27 Jul 2016 09:56:56
Rumours doing the rounds (no source just hearsay probably) that the "sensational" signing being touted is a former top european star, who currently is playing in MLS. Probs nothing in it but we'll see.

7.) 27 Jul 2016 09:59:11
Take from this what you will Bears. but Rvp wants back to Britain for family reasons, and palace and west ham turned down the chance to sign him. his agent has also stated that wages are not his priority in his next move. plus Fernebache will not demand millions for him. I know it's still out there but remember Waghorn said when asked about a new striker "the name eclipses that of Barton and Krancjar". Just going with what is factual.

8.) 27 Jul 2016 11:08:01
When did Waghorn say that? Not saying he didn't, just asking. Anyone else find it surprising that MW is discussing transfer targets with the first team?

9.) 27 Jul 2016 11:16:07
Rangers are 6/ 1 second fav stoke are at 5/ 2.

10.) 27 Jul 2016 11:17:02
We are all bears, so I don't want to start a big back and forth on the issue, but are some folk on the absinthe? Even if RVP was willing to take a wage hit (which I agree he will drop from 250k to leave turkey) it will not be to for the 25-30k that we would maybe offer. If he did agree to a wage drop to below 50k, EVERY top club in Britain would be willing to subsidise that for marketing and shirt sales alone. Remember there's 'serious' talk of Barcelona buying him for cover/ rotation. This isn't the 90's folks, the exiitment is brilliant but I'm actually starting to shake my head in disbelief that there's still people trying to convince themselves he's coming to us. If any of the obsessed are reading our forum (which they will be) they be pissing themselves at this RVP 'rumour' nonsense.

11.) 27 Jul 2016 11:46:20
Kingcooper your being a bit of a downer now. Too many negtive comments. You are probably right but let people have a bit of hope yeh instead of bursting their bubble.

12.) 27 Jul 2016 12:00:09
Eez there's too many folk jumping on the RVP stuff and it's a bit embarrassing if I'm honest. Somone just posted about David Villa, which I was very positive about, as that one could have a small chance of substance and is an exciting thought. The 6-1 odds on RVP signing for us is simply because money has been put on it (bookies automatically reduce odds on anything when there's a betting pattern) if the bookies were in the know, they would stop taking bets on it. Marketing tactic.

13.) 27 Jul 2016 12:55:14
Why has the nonsense factor skyrocketed again on hear over past couple days? Van Persie? Villa? What an absolute joke. Villa earns over $5m a year and has a year left on his contract, that's about $420,000 a month, or £300,000+ a month! Van Persie is still contracted until 2018, on stupid wages and would take around 8-10 million to get him having moved to Fenerbache for £12.75m.

Get a grip people, stop believing the nonsense some sad little liars would have you drink up.

14.) 27 Jul 2016 13:44:25
Not disagreeing with everything you said Just2See but I beileve RVP only cost like 3 million euro.

15.) 27 Jul 2016 13:48:05
I agree it is embarrassing. Rvp, podolksi, villa. its a rumour site tho right enough.

16.) 27 Jul 2016 16:16:35
Aldogers, instead of just disagreeing why don't you do the research yourself, it is on any respectable transfer sight you would want to go look at, the fee was £12.75m.

17.) 27 Jul 2016 16:54:47
Rvp is likely to go to China or America or be a bit part player at a top European level club.
This ain't happening nor did Ings, fletcher, Graham, Cummings.
Sell on value is the future and RVP doesn't represent that.

18.) 27 Jul 2016 17:05:27
He was offered to middlesbrough but his wage demands too big. enough already.

19.) 27 Jul 2016 17:11:05
Slat and odds came down for celtic which tells you everything about their chances of signing him reality wise, zero. bookies make money (shock) sadly the same applies to RVP to us.

20.) 27 Jul 2016 21:05:43
Just2See - I did my research and read "On 14 July 2015, Van Persie joined Turkish Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe on a three-year deal for a fee claimed by Fenerbahçe to be £3.84 million. "

Read the same on various pages

Thanks :-)

21.) 28 Jul 2016 02:32:58
King cooper . Considering half of Istanbul is Europe then I imagine plenty of Europeans live their, what a stupid comment.

22.) 28 Jul 2016 09:36:13
Fenerbahce paid £4.5m for Van persie. Not that I am saying he is likely to join.

Just that its easy to find correct figures rather than punting about completely inacurate figures.

I had an interesting conversation last week with a someone who works at the club. They were saying the team dynamic is very poor as a result of players coming back from time at home after the euros feeling very homesick. Various offers in for players which is taking their focus away from the pitch and this is also preventing players who are in high risk of injury playing as they don't want to jeopardise any offers that are on the table. Along side this apparently some players aren't happy with the new signings. Whether or not any of this is true is debatable but after the last couple of performances it's starting to get quite concerning.

Pure Betty Swallocks! Good try though! 🤣.

2.) 11 Aug 2021 15:12:01
SwedenLoyal…. that has to be a p. take surely?

3.) 11 Aug 2021 15:19:41
Aye Right 😂😂😀.

4.) 11 Aug 2021 15:36:46
There’s rumours and there’s rumours but Christ on the proverbial bike… they’re professional athletes and their homesick. Name me one that would go back to playing in their respective homeland that would be a step up from us?

5.) 11 Aug 2021 17:36:52
Who was the someone, SwedenLoyal, because if I were you, I'd give them a big body swerve as they are messing with your head.

6.) 11 Aug 2021 18:15:53
The league should be our main target as winning that gets us straight into the C/ L next year.

7.) 11 Aug 2021 18:16:56
To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if some (if not all of that) is true. There definitely seems to be a marked shift in overall mood within the club as a whole to last season, it’s very worrying and needs to be sorted before it derails the whole season.

As I mentioned on the 17th March Rangers will play Arsenal at Ibrox. @SGL things people know. Another EPL club is lined up as well but not at Ibrox. Rangers don't plan to play Ibrox friendlies this year apart from Arsenal as they are going to do major ground work to get the surface better.

1.) 16 Apr 2021 20:31:37
The pitch was looking a bit soggy over the winter especially having already spent a fortune on it. A hybrid pitch shouldn't be in that nick with all the technology available today.

2.) 16 Apr 2021 23:45:37
CANT BEAT A BIT OF TOLDYA SO.

3.) 17 Apr 2021 09:45:45
TT the 3 stooges do it all the time.

4.) 17 Apr 2021 09:50:32
Ibrox pitch is never good in the wimter infact its always shocking. everybody says drainage thing was fixed but clear always will b an issue.

5.) 17 Apr 2021 10:01:09
The pitch is a disaster.

6.) 17 Apr 2021 11:05:02
Apparently it's because it lies below the level of the Clyde? Don't know if that's crap or not. My pal has a big landscape gardening business and used to be involved in pitch laying years ago. He says the main problem is always drainage.

7.) 17 Apr 2021 15:29:44
Seeker its too close to water table this is correct mate. Hence why we cannot build down anymore to add in more seats. Heard a lot of folk say this issue was fixed but is of course nonsense. clear to see. Come winter we have 1 of worst surfaces in league.

17 Mar 2021 10:24:33
Rangers Will play Arsenal in a summer friendly, most likely at Ibrox. SG wants testing friendlies before champions league Qualifiers.

How do you know we're going to be playing the arsenal SwedenLoyal 🤔
I hope so for my own sentimental reasons 🙏.

2.) 17 Mar 2021 12:45:28
Afternoon Folks,

Can anyone tell me how many CLQ's we will have to play as winners of the League, I saw something yesterday where it mentioned that Celtic could be seeded for their CLQ's.

3.) 17 Mar 2021 13:29:57
Irvger my understanding we would be entered at third qualifying round where we would be seeded.
If we win then knockout round where we would not be seeded.

4.) 17 Mar 2021 14:20:20
Think we need to play better than arsenal to be honest europa league level that mob at best.

5.) 17 Mar 2021 23:03:52
Thank you John, if we can get up to speed quickly, the we have a very good chance of getting to the Group Stage.

6.) 18 Mar 2021 08:56:11
Irvger agreed. We want the prize money mate.

Andre Villas Boas will come in. The board had to wait 5 weeks until Boas said he would not renew with Chinese club. Boas wants to involve Ray wilkins in some role, chelsea days Connection. Looking to take the the heat out of the AGM tomorrow. He believes he can get the best out of the Portuguese and Mexicans and take the club forward. let's see.

Haha avb that's a classic. we can't afford the 800k compo fur mccinnes. sum unheard of numpty will get the job again. someone that's happy with no transfer budget. hopefully your right and we get avb but really canny see it lad

2.) 29 Nov 2017 09:36:29
Being a chelsea man i would prefer roberto di mateo

3.) 29 Nov 2017 09:37:18
AVB would be a good pic. hope its true but just can't see it.

4.) 29 Nov 2017 09:46:53
Chelsea days connection! Was Wilkins even at Chelsea when he was there? Don’t answer that because I already know 🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 get your head out the clouds for gods sake eh! Did u see AVB salary in chinea? I’m sure pea brain Pedro will give his fellow Portuguese a glowing reference on all things sevco eh! The laughs just keep coming honestly 😂😂😂😂😂😂

5.) 29 Nov 2017 09:50:21
AVB? Come on! Even if it was true why would we want him any way? can't see how he would get the best out of the players we have now! Would like to see Ray in, in some capacity tho even if he does send me to sleep when he talks lol. Even at 70 Walter Smith would be the man i'd want, if he wanted it but at the same time think he's done enough for us in the past that he deserves to enjoy the rest of his days without the stress the managers job comes with. i'm getting impatient too but if they get this appointment right it will all be worth it in the end. Hopefully the board will be questioned tomorrow and we will get some answers, hopefully!

6.) 29 Nov 2017 09:59:42
AVB has resigned from Shanghai (Telegraph online) . Offered one year extension but turned it down. Says he wants to take an extended break from football and also quoted as saying he didn’t want to work in England again (was sounded out for Everton) . Doesn’t sound like he is getting on a plane to Glasgow anytime soon, but who knows! We’ve heard just about everything and everybody in the past 5 weeks.

7.) 29 Nov 2017 23:38:02
According to Sky Sports News tonight, AVB is going to do the Dakar Rally next! So def not getting on plane to Glasgow. Great show tonight - more of the same on Sunday please :-)
