Article in todays Scotsman newspaper "Rangers could look to Huddersfield Town's Stuart Webber as the Ibrox club plans for life after Mark Warburton. " His role is reported to be Director of Football.

Huddersfield doing very well in the championship, someones obviously doing something well down there

2.) 13 Feb 2017 12:55:35
Aye all fair and well at a wee team we are Glasgow rangers we had one guy from a wee English team that couldn't hack it here we need to go for it now frank de boer or Souness

3.) 13 Feb 2017 12:57:56
I work with Derek McCiness cousin and he's talking with Rangers Right now

4.) 13 Feb 2017 13:06:45
Is DM's cousin also his agent?

5.) 13 Feb 2017 13:41:55
As if he would want that confidential info out there right now!

6.) 13 Feb 2017 14:31:57
Absolute rubbish he's under contract to the sheep we would need their permission to speak to him. Plus we would need to pay them compo.
Another I work for mackenzies at the airport and. . story

7.) 13 Feb 2017 14:58:28
**** sake guys just saying what I've heard his cousin spoke to him and said he was having talks unlike some of the absolute drivel on here that's just fantasy! Talks don't mean he's signing its just talks!

8.) 13 Feb 2017 18:41:50
I watch Blackburn Rovers although Rangers are my only team and watch every match from home, this season i had the pleasure to see Huddersfield when they visited Ewood and they are far the best team to play here, not surprised they are riding high in the league, as far as someone coming to Rangers i would not count on it they are a club very much on the up and would be surprised to see them in the E. P. L.

9.) 13 Feb 2017 21:51:33
I told you weeks ago that Warburton had lost the confidence of the chairman and was going. The same source, a family friend of King and season ticket holder, says deal is all but done with Mcleish and Alex Rae

10.) 13 Feb 2017 23:03:01
Ive watched Huddersfield a few times this year and their style of play is a joy to watch. whether our players are good enough to carry it off is another thing

11.) 14 Feb 2017 00:57:27
No offence buddy, but he isn't in talks with rangers, I think It will be big Eck till the summer

12.) 14 Feb 2017 06:25:59
MacLeish has definitely got the job his assistant is Alec Rae be confirmed today or Wednesday

03 Feb 2017 15:33:27
another website not only has MW and DW been held to account at board level but also FMcP. and I quote.

"In fact, director of football Frank McParland is also understood to have been questioned of late for some of the signings he's made on a big budget with meeting and cross-examination reportedly held at last week's board meeting. "

unquote.

3.) 03 Feb 2017 20:47:32
Moyes has achieved very little since he left Everton.

4.) 03 Feb 2017 22:23:16

Do the trio have a good chance of winning compensation. The legal argument is going to revolve around whether and agent can in effect resign for the clients they represent. The trio did not resign directly and I quote DK "At a meeting with the management team's representative earlier this week the Club were advised that Mr Warburton, Mr Weir and Mr McParland wished to resign their positions and leave the Club ". If we have an employment law expert on line that can give us the answer then this could be cleared up.

TrueBlueDrew

1.) 12 Feb 2017 08:55:29
It's basic law that an agent (MW's agent for example) has authority to take such actions on behalf on their principal (MW) . I think the law will revolve around the agreement and whether or not the board accepted the initial agreement before MW's agent rescinded the offer. Usually, footballers'/ managers' agents aren't as well clued up on these things as club's lawyers and I think it looks like the board have played an absolute blinder.

2.) 12 Feb 2017 10:15:47
Not a lawyer by any means but I do know that a resignation is only valid when presented in writing and signed by the person who is resigning .

3.) 12 Feb 2017 11:16:16
Not true. Whilst better for the employer to have it writing, it doesn't have to be.

It's never black and white (unless it's in writing) but it will depend on who said what, what was verbally agreed, who witnessed, was it minuted, etc.

In summary - a resignation does not have to be written.

4.) 12 Feb 2017 12:48:40
Bruised bear surely a resignation without being on paper is just a conversation?

5.) 12 Feb 2017 13:44:44
So all of a sudden the Rangers board are business geniuses beyond comparison with their wheeling and dealings with Dr Dough and Captain Davie.
Can't wait for the next instalment

6.) 12 Feb 2017 14:01:47
F. No, there is such a thing as a verbal resignation. Not as watertight as a written one but as per my earlier reply it does exist and can be as valid as a written one.

You know how good your team is when there is not one of our so called 'stars' subject to a transfer rumour. MW is not even getting a mention now for every managerial vacancy down south. Gilmour appears to be the only Ger in demand and Gilks is looking for first team football. Changed days indeed.

TrueBlueDrew

1.) 31 Jan 2017 11:22:20
Windass is wanted by Hull, Gilks has gone, and Mckay is wanted

Theres 3 off the top of my head

2.) 31 Jan 2017 13:47:14
Wolves readying a 13.5 million offer for miller.

3.) 31 Jan 2017 15:41:14
mckay has been linked and gilks is away. and that's a good thing anyways we don't want players to go big list of the injured players as it is

4.) 31 Jan 2017 23:31:01
Windass to Hull is just paper talk and if anyone seriously thinks Leipzig or anyone else would bid £6m for McKay then they are clearly on something

5.) 31 Jan 2017 23:31:01

Do we think MW has given up on short corners. They were almost compulsory for 18 months but have been rather scarce lately.

TrueBlueDrew

1.) 23 Jan 2017 09:38:36
Well Hill and Kiernan are both good at attacking the ball so you can see why he wants to put it in the box, although I've noticed Miller trying to get Mckay and Wallace to take short corners recently, which usually results in 1 being taken and then Wallace ignoring Miller after that.

2.) 23 Jan 2017 12:12:41
I don't think he's giving up on them, I just think at times he told them to be more direct

Garner had no 32Red advertisement on his tracksuit top. Are we in dispute or was it an oversight?

anybody else noticed that all the goals we have lost this year including the penalties have been runs made directly through the center of our defence.nothing from the flanks. just a thought

TrueBlueDrew

1.) 12 Aug 2015 17:43:38
All 3 goals?

2.) 12 Aug 2015 18:28:29
Stanton goal for hibs was a long shot the only through ball was from St mirren lol and as u say the other was a penalty

3.) 12 Aug 2015 19:18:45
The goal we conceded against Burnley was straight through the centre of the defence as well.

4.) 12 Aug 2015 20:21:39
so was the one aginst hibs

5.) 12 Aug 2015 21:34:00
The one against Hibs was down to Law not putting a tackle in and running alongside Stanton

The management teams agent thought he had a deal with another team but that team (Nottingham Forest) decided to wait until the end of the season before making a decision. The agent approached Rangers to say they would stay until the end of the season but the board said 'no, you can't have another go' as did SDM with Souness when Liverpool came calling you can go immediately. Only one winner in these scenarios.

To call the Ashley a BLOODSUCKER is an insult to BLOODSUCKERS all over the world. Ashley is going to court this year as he believes the seven year rule can only be revoked by him. Conspiracy! what conspiracy?

DK has his dream job so I cannot see him readily walking away from Ibrox. We need a nomad and we need it urgently. We are operating financially with one hand tied behind our back. We require major investment in both the short and long term. Easier said than done.

The boy Gilmour is just that, a boy. We are getting our knickers in a twist, he is a prospect although and a good one at that. John Fleck was going to be the next best thing but his career did not hit the heights expected. If we can tie him down to a four year contract great if not let him move on after all the club is bigger than Gilmour. If MW genuinely liked to give youth a chance then Burt would have made more substitute appearances giving the likes of Gilmour encouragement to stay longer.

Lets state the obvious, we need major investment to finance an entire new team. We should not keep any of them, that's a p*ss poor Dundee team that still managed to turn us over. We are a rudderless ship that is floundering in rough seas. Rangers need strong characters both on and off the park. Talk is cheap it's action that we want.

With some of Murty's recent comments I wonder if his allegiance is with Rangers or Warburton. Murty could leave at the end of the season to join his three amigo's, who knows?

MW is saying he never resigned but is not denying the agents involvement with the three of them going to another club and subsequent change of heart. The lawyers are going to be the only winners here.

If Rangers are going down the "Director of Sport" path this could restrict our managerial selection as a number managers like to have full control.

Can see why you could recommend Pardew but he would expect £50k a week.
